Our idea was that if someone looks focused, moving in a bee-line, clearly busy with something - it would be best to not approach. But if someone is taking their time, smelling the roses, then that might have a better outcome. Depending on the surroundings too though - make intentions clear up front and don't corner her or approach her somewhere she can't leave right away (like an elevator).
