Me!! I’ve been wanting to get married for at least a couple of years. Have been single for 2.5 years now, and had a nun-mode sort of period the last 6 months. Just starting to date for the first time in my life now! I’ve gotten very impatient over the years myself.

To be honest, I spend just 30 sec-2 mins on makeup each day. I just dab concealer on any acne spots I have. For taking care of my appearance, I lost weight, fixed my diet (which mostly cured my acne!), maintain an active lifestyle, grew my hair out, and started dressing better (including wearing dresses more often)! :)

If you’re a Christian, the Courtship Network is amazing! That’s what I’m using right now :)

Men and women CANNOT be friends, this is human biology. This is an extremely problematic situation. I personally wouldn’t be able to stay with someone who does things like this.

I’ve lost 14 pounds since Thanksgiving (5’5”, went from 149 to 135), and I attribute it to staying dedicated to my way of eating + exercise (running) whenever possible. For eating, I do OMAD (one meal a day) and follow the animal-based diet. It all boils down to calories in/out though, and I stick to a deficit to lose weight. I’m not super strict as I eat out with family/friends often, but I plan around my meals out to stay in a deficit. I’ve gone from a size S to an XS and feel much, much more …

Hey! I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m going through something really similar. Guys simply don’t see me romantically, just as a friend at absolute most. I’ve been friend-zoned, rejected, etc, and it’s really hard to keep having hope. I’m starting to mentally prepare for a life alone, but I still really want to try and find a husband. There’s nothing I can really do to improve my looks since the biggest issue is my large nose/facial structure, not anything like weight. I’d recommend jus…

Thank you, I will for sure!! It’s been difficult to do this with my crazy schedule lately, but it’s super important and I’ll continue to make the effort🙏

Thank you so much! Today on campus, I actually got approached by a guy I like and we sat together/talked for a good hour :) I subtly invited him to go to the library with me but it never happened, lol. But it’s a step in the right direction!! I will definitely continue to make the effort. Thanks again for your helpful advice!

Thank you so much for your advice! I have seemed to make the same post multiple times, lol. I will take your advice more seriously this time🙏 Thank you for taking the time to comment and for the helpful guidance!! I really appreciate it

This post is delusional and disgustingly feminist. I disagree with everything you said.

Average looking guys don’t even show any interest. Only guys who are objectively significantly below my league have ever shown interest. I’m not overestimating my attractiveness, and I’m not overestimating “average” either.

I’m 5’5”, weigh 144, and I’m half white/half Chinese. However everyone tells me I look MUCH lighter than 144, and they’re always very shocked to hear my weight. Most people think I look ~120. I am trying to drop a few pounds, but I look average weight wise.

These are HUGE red flags, and definitely something that I would personally end a relationship over. Men simply don’t reach out to women/slide into their dm’s with “platonic” intentions (unless it’s for something practical, like school/work, that requires communication). What he’s doing is VERY disrespectful. I would consider it cheating if I had a boyfriend who slid up on another girl’s promiscuous photos. I’d personally never date a guy who dm’s/texts with other girls. I highly recommend walkin…

My whole social circle is also religious, as most of my friends and the men I know are from church/church related things. So it's a bit discouraging.

Thank you so much! I'm 5'5" and weigh 144. I'm trying to drop some weight (10ish pounds), as I have put on a little weight this year. People often tell me that I look a lot lighter than 144, they tell me I look 120 or so. I look average weight wise. I'm half Chinese, half white. I have no idea how to flirt lol!

Thank you! It's just difficult because most of my friends near my age receive male attention regularly, I'm one of the only ones who doesn't :( I'm trying to figure out what I can change about myself to attract men.

Yes that's exactly why I'm worried at age 20 that I'm getting barely any male attention. I have worked on my appearance a lot this year, but still no results. Very frustrating and concerning. Still trying to figure out what's wrong with me :(

I hope so haha, but all of the guys in my social circle know that I’m single and that I’m looking :(

You do have a good point. However, I really don’t know anymore if I’m average or ugly. Guys have called me ugly in the past, but I’ve also been told I’m average.

I’m right here🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m 20f in college. My social circle includes both guys and girls, so I’m not undersocialized by any means. I guess you could say I have male friends, but I only ever hang out with them in group settings (guys never ask me to hang out one on one, LOL). No guy IRL has EVER asked me out on a date. If I got apps I’m sure I’ll get interest, but I’m simply not attractive enough to recieve attention in real life. I’ve been in college for over seven months now, and I hoped that by n…

I’m a 20 year old woman and no one has ever asked me to have sex, I’ve never been asked on a date either. It isn’t that easy for ALL women, just the more attractive ones.

I was at a group hangout yesterday and he was talking about the girl he likes, which happens to be one of my friends. It is what it is :(

I did ask one of his friends about him, and didn’t get the most positive response. I don’t have a clear answer, but it’s more likely than not that he doesn’t feel the same way.

I do NOT want to be single. However, only low value guys (mostly creeps) pursue me, and guys I actually like don’t pursue me at all. I’ve been interested in someone for a while, but he doesn’t seem to feel the same way (he only seems to see me as a friend). So I want to be in a relationship with a good high value guy, but none of those guys like me. I’d rather be single than be in a relationship with any of the creeps that have been hitting on me lately.

Some of these men didn’t finish high school and never went to college. Others are very overweight. Overall creepy vibes too from some of them. When I showed my friends messages from one of them, I was told not to even answer. Yes they’re unattractive, but there are other things that make them low value. All of these men are in my social circle in some way. I am aware that I’m sometimes shooting out of my league and that I am picky. I wish I was a bit less picky, but average guys aren’t giving me…

So true. I used to try to deny this truth since it really isn’t fair, but I’m learning to live with it. Yes, life doesn’t come as easy if you’re less attractive, and it really does suck. Since I’ve accepted this reality, I’m just trying my best to work with what I’ve got. It works in reverse too, so I’ll admit that I am picky when it comes to guys. I’ve recently started to get some attention from unattractive/low value guys, while simultaneously being frustrated that I’m not attractive enough fo…

I prefer men who are 2-5 years older than me (I’m 20). Men a little older than me are more mature and attractive to me than guys who are my age/slightly younger.

Hey! I have the exact same concerns as you, so know you’re not alone. I dream of marriage as well but rarely receive male attention. Some things that I have done to work on myself include taking care of my skin, dressing well/more feminine, eating well, exercising, styling my hair, and embracing my femininity. Don’t give up!! There will be someone out there for you. I often feel discouraged as well, but I’m trying to staying patient and have started to put myself out there more too. Best wishes!…

Thank you! I want to ask someone out in my social circle, but I know things will be awkward within the circle if he rejects me. So I definitely have some thinking to do.

I’ve pretty much never had luck with guys all my life, so I don’t see how my effort would have a positive result. I’m scared of being rejected.

As a woman, I really want a relationship, but I'm scared to put in the effort because I have a fear of rejection. No guy has ever asked me out on a date or asked for my number, so I'm scared to take those steps myself.
