I think I finally managed to get my comment through the filters lol - see below!

The Manics are my favourite band - I've seen this song live several times! Last time was 2019 I think. the song sits in a context of feminist leanings in their music. Happy to expand if anyone is interested

Girl the men in London are awful. I do not recommend! All the good ones are already taken

I am nearly 30 and feel exactly the same. It's hopeless. I have no idea how some of my friends got lucky enough to actually meet a committed loving partner with minimal effort whilst I'm out here struggling emotionally, financially, materially. God truly has his favourites

Similarly I haaaaate 'baby mama' it sounds so tacky especially when men use it to refer to a woman as that title rather than her actual name

I feel like the global mode is so pointless. I don't want to match with men living 239483858439 miles away, what's the damn point

Lmaoo we're tired of dealing with men all day that's what

Not long ago me and a Tinder guy were struggling to meet and match up our schedules. I suggested the following Friday. He came back and said '7pm tonight?' which was in 90 MINUTES!! He really thought I'd drag myself back into the city centre for an unspecified date with 90 MINUTES NOTICE, I was just incredulous

He was only sacked after he'd been arrested. He was a serving police officer at the time, hence why he was able to convincingly arrest her.

As a young woman in London not dissimilar from Sarah (similar in physical appearance too), this case has really rattled me. I frequently walk around the city alone and usually feel fine but there's always this fear in the back of my mind. It just shows how dangerous, abusive men will seek out these positions of power to satisfy their sickening desires.

lmaoooooo I'm stealing that, I usually just go for 'short man syndrome', they truly are like snappy little dogs but without the cuteness

My dad is the same. He would 100% drop everything to drive 2 hours to me even if I have the smallest issue. He tries to fix anything I have a problem with. He's generous to my mum, buying her gifts for no reason and giving her financial support. He has done so many things for me that weren't exactly enjoyable for him - eg. waiting up all night to collect me from a night out, or accompanying me to events he had no interest in, but not moaning about it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/08/21 03:41 PM
11

I don't think it's an issue stalking someone's public social media as long as you don't contact them and make a thing of it. There's a big difference between me casually browsing a cute guy's open Instagram and a guy I didn't even match with on Tinder then contacting me on my private personal Facebook account which wasn't even connected to Tinder.

It really is shocking. There will be serious questions about how he managed to get hold of one. IIRC, handguns were banned here after a man went on a shooting spree in a primary school in the 90s, so every gun in a shooting since then has had to be licensed, but I have no idea what the terms of those licenses are. They must all be for livestock purposes, I would have thought?!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/08/21 08:05 PM

Not surprising at all. The hate he felt for his mother probably just fueled his misogyny. Poor woman

Dude wasn't bad looking, he didn't even look unkempt or like a hobo... yet still was throwing tantrums about women having "unrealistic standards." He was a stereotypical slob tbh, unkempt, overweight, terrible clothes, no trace of a smile...but these are all fixable! I don't buy this shit about them being 'doomed' because they barely make any effort in the first place. Even though I've been depressed on and off, and don't have much self-esteem, I make an effort to be clean, groomed and friendly,…

Absolutely disgusting, he killed a CHILD. These kind of shootings are so rare in the UK. It shows how dangerous their mindset is. Mental illness is no excuse. I've struggled with depression and my love life has suffered because of it, but you don't see me going on a shooting spree. There is something deeply wrong with the way these men are enabled to be like this.

Yeah 100%. It's such an endless and thankless task. Working and keeping up with my interests, plus the usual chores, keeps me so busy I rarely have the energy to keep up with some boring negging and small talk from a rando on an app

'Massive foodie' = overweight 'Need someone who can keep up' = does absolutely fuck all actually Photos that look like they're from over 10 years ago - he's now fatter and more unattractive that he was in those pics

Skinny women, big women, average women... It doesn't matter. I think some women are maybe a bit unaware of how much casual attention is paid to them, regardless of their weight or age. It's terrifying. This is one thing I really hate about being a woman (and men's behaviour, conversely)...feeling like I'm permanently on display just by the act of existing in a public space. It's inescapable.

The amount of men who I’ve seen describe themselves as ‘handsome’ when they really aren’t is incredible. The delusion is real
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/04/21 06:00 AM

I get a kick out of reporting men with aggressively sexual OLD profiles. Feels so good knowing their thirsty musty asses will boohoo after losing their 'access' to free pussy Would also love to report those terrible men who constantly delete and remake their profiles just because their desperate faces annoy me
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/04/21 12:39 PM
12

This made me feel sick oh looordd those poor women I had a waitressing job years ago and I once worked at a racecar speedway event type thing. I had to watch loads of men like this having their pic taken with the pit girls. It was actually hilarious realising how much they were probably nutting in their pants

The cringe of men who remake their OLD profiles every week so they can be pushed to the top of the app again. I can smelllll the desperation
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/02/21 01:51 PM
12

Me too. I can definitely warm up to someone in real life, but I always make a bad first impression because I'm so shy and closed off, which means men never approach. Some of my friends have met HVM online, but I can't be bothered to wade through the tonne of audacious perverts to get there.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/02/21 01:54 PM

And there's why I am disgusted by most modern men and won't go near them...they truly do it to themselves. They wonder why women won't hook up with them. There's why. If a man said 'I love choking and beating women and seeing them hurt and struggle' most people would be furious. But it's ok when he adds 'but it turns me on' to the end??
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/02/21 01:15 PM

This is particularly sickening given the fact that many women have died this way and their bodies hidden by the disgusting men involved. Making it into a meme shows their lack of humanity. I’d report any man who chokes a woman during sex to the police if possible

I did like this article but the title is misleading, it didn't really say WHY women choose to be single eg. the quality of men is through the floor

Any mention of cuddling anywhere on OLD is a big fat NO
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/01/21 08:36 AM
8

I know right, this is why online dating is such a waste of time for us. Most of them can't even hold a simple conversation then they're like 'WHY WOMEN NO RESPOND???' Because most of the conversation was 'hey' and 'yeah' you fucking tool, you think that's enough for me?!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/01/21 12:54 PM

Beards are disgusting and unhygienic, no idea why they are considered attractive...yet another example of men bending beauty standards to suit their laziness

This is every man who can be found hating women in the comment section 😂
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/12/20 12:51 PM

Yes I always end up fancying guys who are gay, mainly because they're attractive and also kind - because obviously they don't view you as a sex object primarily.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/12/20 02:54 PM

Some of them are so sloppy it's revolting. Unkempt facial hair (which includes most men with it) is my number one visual turn off.

Loads of men spit here in the UK, it's revolting and inexcusable. If most of the population can resist randomly spitting in public, they can too!! The only time I spit is if I'm cycling, and even then I do it when no one is around and discreetly!!

Diana was such an amazing person, you can watch one of the many documentaries about her and see. She's one of my all time icons. Charles treated her like shit, I don't care that he *had* to marry her and didn't want to, the way he treated her at times was indefensible.

I do all the time! It's so embarrassing.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/11/20 12:23 PM

I want to scream everytime I see guys on OLD chatting about 'spontaneous adventures'. Stfu, some of us like a bit of planning in our lives!!

There's a serial offender in my area who does this. Even if I block him he reappears eventually! Get a life man, no one is interested

Lol definitely not. Lots of duplicity with men saying they want a relationship but never making an effort. There's a set of British dating app cliches, just like anywhere else in the world 😴
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/10/20 06:13 PM

Lol yes, always the same guys slightly altering their profiles each time...cringe

I keep seeing stories about women deciding to have babies on their own because they can't find a suitable partner. How bad is that reflection on modern men, that women no longer want children with them?!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/09/20 06:42 PM
92

Yeah Tom well I get along best with men whose hairline isn't back in the 1990s
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/09/20 10:51 AM
37

Honestly, I've sometimes considered setting up a review service to help men having no success on OLD, because it's always for really obvious reasons. I'd be harsh but fair.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/09/20 09:19 AM
14

I once posted in another sub in annoyance at people breaking covid regulations on holiday, one guy got really angry for some reason and scrolled through my old posts about PCOS on another sub and edited his insult post to me calling me a 'hairy ugly cow' 😂 Imagine being that sensitive about something not even personally attacking you, such a man thing 😂
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/09/20 06:28 PM
6

Me too, I've always preferred the 'pretty boy' types. Sadly so many of them seem to be gay so not an option for us! So many British men are just slobs.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/09/20 04:53 PM
17

Truly. So many crusty men with neck beards
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/09/20 10:47 PM
3

Yep I get this all the time. She said to me a while ago 'you really have a thing against men don't you?' yes mum, when they actually act like adults and stop being eternally disappointing, and prove themselves as a worthy partner to me, then I'll stop having a 'thing' against them. I don't think women of their generation realise how poor the dating pool is for us.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/09/20 02:20 PM
8

So true. There are just hardly any good-looking men. Myself and a friend were looking at photos of women we knew with their partners, all of the men were ugly as sin compared to the woman. I see maybe a handful of attractive men in a week and that's in the biggest city in the UK. I see a lot of them around gay bars which is depressing!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/08/20 02:28 PM
12

I could have literally written this, I’m in the same position. Would like to hear some advice too :(
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 08:04 PM
32

The worst is when the men use the opportunity to make the wedding all about THEM and their interests. They love football, their partner hates it, but they make the wedding football-themed. And they spend loads of money on stag do for them and give the women barely anything for their hen party. The selfishness is disgusting.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 12:45 PM
6

Just threw up in my mouth
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/20 11:48 AM

Yeah I have this problem too. I feel like I have zero sex appeal hence my lack of attention.

‘Looking for someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously’ aka I want to treat you like shit but you let me get away with it
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/20 05:58 AM
6

100% agree! They clearly put zero effort into themselves or their profiles, but only want a perfect-looking woman. It's embarrassing to watch them think they're on the same level as us.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/08/20 05:19 PM
5

I'm the same!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/07/20 03:06 PM
2

Sooo true! I need to do this. Not long ago a guy I matched with over a YEAR ago and said nothing suddenly messaged me out of the blue. Like hello, can you make it any more obvious you're so desperate you're just looking through your matches to find ANYONE to talk to?! Was I meant to be flattered to be finally messaged after a goddamn year?!?!?!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/07/20 01:07 PM
81

Even if it consensual and 'kink', the risk is just too high to even try it. All the replies about 'kink shaming' are literally so fucking tiresome. If you take it out of the sexual context, it's physical abuse. Forgive me for thinking staying alive is more important than your mouldy old penis.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/07/20 05:01 PM
21

What exactly does he have to offer?? No give all take.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/07/20 10:52 PM
1

I’m in West London but I work in central and my perimeters cover the whole city on the apps. Im pretty convinced the type of guys I’m most suited to don’t even use the apps but I have no clue where to meet them irl!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/07/20 07:11 PM
8

It's sooooo boring, I swear all the men are the same. No I don't want 'spontaneous adventures' or to discuss pineapple on pizza with you, fucking hell.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/07/20 10:32 AM
2

But yea, I feel like London guys aren't very HVM. I find a lot of them feel they are "too busy" to date, so go on these apps just to find a fuckbuddy. I'm off dating apps now, and I feel really unfulfilled, like I really badly want some male attention, and I'm trying so so hard to not need it, but I really want the D 😂 Lol exactly the same here! The ones you met sound so cowardly - I've also had quite a few do the whole arranging a date then disappearing thing. I have no idea how people actually…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/07/20 10:31 AM
4

Oh I think that's 100% true lol, the apps don't help them though!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/07/20 10:27 AM
40

Oh that's 100% true. I just never get approached IRL, plus we're all stuck at home and I was bored. OLD seems to have created a lot of relationships and I think I could sniff out the LVM...but there are SO many of them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 07:21 PM
20

It's so so so lazy, and just shows a lot about their personality IMO. I'm not running after any man like that. It's not so much to ask for a short polite message indicating interest.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 04:30 PM
20

Yeah I've seen quite a few interesting guys on Bumble but they never really make an effort with the conversation on their side long term, it's always me asking questions or suggesting meeting. I was also using the 'daily extend' rule sometimes - but they never extended 9 times out of 10 lol. I didn't know that about the verification thing though, so that's good to know thank you!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 04:29 PM
23

True on the desperate thing, I usually just put something like 'Not looking for something casual' - like I'm not immediately looking for marriage, but some kind of commitment would be needed. The men who seem centered around relationship stuff - their bios mentioning 'morning cuddles' and 'swapping hoodies' etc, always put me off as clingy and desperate too.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 04:27 PM
16

Oh I still get all the fuckboys even when saying I'm not interested in casual things! Nothing stops them huh... I've tried OkCupid briefly but I didn't like how men outside my age range could see me and contact me. But I did also like the messaging options there.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 04:25 PM
11

Oh god I KNOW. I have a profile full of conversation leads and they do that. Just the other day a guy on Tinder just sent me a waving hand emoji. Pretty sure that doesn't even lead to a conversation in real life bro.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/07/20 10:19 AM
52

Me too, knowing it was a Tinder date makes me even more scared to date. Just to think someone could so easily do it to me or one of my friends and use that excuse.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/07/20 06:08 PM
117

I've been following these cases and this is a good development. The normalization of rough sex is disgusting and the thought that men could use it as an excuse if they kill someone is horrendous - I feel so sad for these poor women's families and friends having their loved one's name dragged through the mud like that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/07/20 05:40 PM
2

I honestly laugh out loud at the state of some of the profiles that like me. The audacity of them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/06/20 06:58 PM
130

I love Queer Eye. All the episodes with women are about how stressed they are trying to do too much, whereas most of the episodes with men are about how lazy and unproductive they are. Just sums up the real world doesn't it! I do love the episodes with the men working hard for their families though.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/06/20 06:35 PM
14

Oh definitely. I think it's common on London Tinder, full of audacious unattractive men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/06/20 03:32 PM
21

I saw this guy on my Tinder! Ugh.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/06/20 03:23 PM

Why would you even date these hogs in the first place 🤢🤮🤢
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 09:31 PM
41

I’ve done lots of that - it’s all either old people or other women. I feel like the chance of a man my age volunteering is low
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/06/20 08:28 PM
59

Same...my career is mostly female-dominated, as are my hobbies. Any time I join a class or something, it's all women. I feel like the kind of men I'd be interested in don't even use OLD.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/06/20 03:21 PM
13

Me too, it's not something I'd ever consider a hobby unless it was a particular sport eg. dance class, football etc
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/06/20 12:31 PM
33

Oh god I know. 'Travelling' - they like going on holiday, which everyone likes. Going to the gym is possibly the most dull hobby to have. I can't believe I put myself out there, with my wide range of interesting hobbies, and most of them have zero to offer in return. Just because they only care about how we look, doesn't mean we do the same to them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/06/20 11:25 AM
12

Well, when they look like that...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/20 03:54 PM

The ones who say 'only unattractive girls match with me' are so fucking pathetic. They only match because YOU swiped on them too. They don't care if they've misled the poor girl into thinking he is interested in her.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/06/20 11:51 AM

They really are! It's frustrating. I studied English lit at university but most of the guys on my course were gay. It's a common thing, me fancying a guy then finding out they're gay!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/06/20 04:49 PM

I'm an INTJ and I definitely prefer softer, more gentle boys. In terms of looks and personality. I love the longer hair, no facial hair, tall, skinny, 'pretty boy' type (Harry Styles is my dream man), and I would definitely have more in common and feel easier talking to a guy who prefers culture and has more 'feminine' interests than a guy who is uber masculine, super into sport and works out a lot etc. I wouldn't call myself 'dominant' but I would lean towards it. I'm very independent and like …

Multi-planetary 😂
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/06/20 10:24 PM
18

I would be interested in this as I am 27 and the same. Never met anyone I got on with that well.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/05/20 11:34 AM
24

Lol, everytime I've approached a man first he's gone cold as ice. Not taking that advice
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 06:21 PM
3

I think they think women will think it's endearing and cute when it's really not
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/05/20 01:05 PM
33

Lol, saying they’re a tourist on their OLD is a reason to AVOID for me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/05/20 10:24 PM
5

Same. Some of them I think 'wow you're brave' when they 'like' me. I had this one dude who kept superliking me across several apps - I wasn't interested because he sounded pretentious and wasn't attractive. Then on Hinge, when they can send you a whole damn message without you liking them, he still just 'liked' me again! The lack of EFFORT is embarrassing.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/05/20 02:11 PM
11

I can't believe a 30 year old adult man is using THAT as a pic on a dating site. Do they have any brain cells at all
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/05/20 03:38 PM
10

I swear every man who 'likes' me on a dating app looks like he's been hit in the face with a shovel. No exaggeration
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/05/20 11:55 AM
3

Yep...sticking with you on the not settling front as well!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/05/20 06:36 PM
11

It's when they have the most pathetic, basic profile and they moan about not getting any matches. Really shows their lack of self-awareness. The bar is on the floor and they still can't reach it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/05/20 11:59 AM
76

They have the attention span of a goldfish. So much for those 60+ year marriages, this dude saw some girl on Instagram and was out the door. The lack of any kind of willpower to commit is depressing.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/04/20 10:49 PM
29

Yep this is me 100%, even with virginity I'm still very clear on what I want and don't want, and I'm definitely mature enough to avoid manipulation now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/04/20 11:26 AM
13

Yeah, considering how much it's used as an insult I think a lot of men aren't interested in virgins. Hence why I'm still one lol. The good thing is I feel I've read and heard so much about these type of LVM that I'd be able to weed them out before it got to sex.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/04/20 11:25 AM
126

Yep they’re always real weirdos. I always report ‘couples profiles’ 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/04/20 10:07 PM
485

Lmao also true. This is why I avoid all men on OLD in 'open relationships' like the plague. Let them suffer!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/04/20 07:58 PM
1569

I LOVE when this happens. Oh how the tables turn... Also 'haven't found anything that excites me' = I've got no matches
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/04/20 07:31 PM
36

I empathise! So much trash, it's like searching for a needle in a haystack. But the needle probably doesn't exist.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/04/20 04:26 PM
7

Disgusting. This is why I dread getting involved with men sexually.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/04/20 01:25 PM
35

LMAO truth!! Just when you think 'surely there can't be this many unpleasant men in the world??' they just keep coming...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/04/20 09:54 AM
2

I don't have much to offer as I am in the exact same situation (but working not studying), so you're not the only one at all. I would read up articles about single people, join groups on Facebook to talk about the issues we face - it has helped me feel less alone.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/04/20 05:31 PM
102

Older women are also sexualised due to their perceived sexual experience too eg. 'MILFs'
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/04/20 02:03 PM
13

It's gross. Men perpetuate it because it makes them think they'll always be able to get someone young, hot and naive. Predatory.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/04/20 11:56 AM
116

They really are brain dead if they expect anyone to believe that shit
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/04/20 12:39 PM
50

No men ever approach me though. Not that that means I'll approach them, but still...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/04/20 04:47 PM
20

They like it if you're hot and intelligent. If you're unattractive and intelligent, you're repellant to them (speaking from experience)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/03/20 09:43 AM
39

No bio. Come on man, if you can't write a few sentences, I'm not interested.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/03/20 09:19 AM
8

They'll just change the lines in the OLD profile from 'looking for a girl who looks after herself' to something virus related 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/03/20 09:27 AM
39

Bumble has sucked for me and just further confirmed my belief in FDS principles. Never had a good conversation on there, it was always me asking questions and getting nothing in return. No man on there ever asked me out.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/20 08:28 PM
7

I'm 27 and now feel the same tbh. It's a good turnaround in our thinking, we should be proud.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/03/20 01:02 PM
70

God this is like my entire experience in online dating. 'Let's meet this day!', I agree and wait for him to initiate plans. Day comes around...nothing. I try to stay away from it now but it's hard when there seem to be no other options for me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/03/20 11:36 AM
14

This honestly makes my blood boil. The normalisation of violence in sex and making it 'acceptable' has this to answer for.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/02/20 08:48 PM
27

Seriously delusional. And they judge single mothers too I’ll bet.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/20 06:55 PM
13

Man as someone fairly unattractive who has never had a boyfriend, this is one of my big fears. Nice to know I'm not just making it up
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/02/20 06:10 PM
68

I am in the same position, high 5! I just wish everyone else could see what we see, rather than judging us for what we think of men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/02/20 06:36 PM
28

All of this is sooo true omg. Hate the glorification of travel on OLD, and I would never go near a sports fan because I hate it with a passion. I always think the type of guys I like aren't even on OLD. And yep most men aren't attractive. Especially the ones who just grow an ungroomed beard and seem to think that makes them look better.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/01/20 02:03 PM
20

Unsurprising! In other news, water is wet...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/01/20 02:41 PM
33

The patriarchy, unfortunately
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/01/20 12:51 PM
21

Literally any time I initiated a conversation on an app with a guy, it was always me making an effort and them giving nothing back, then they just ghosted. Every single time, every time after someone telling me 'just talk to them first!' Hah, no way. I never get approached anyway, or messaged first on apps, but it's better than the constant humiliation.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/01/20 12:25 PM
8

It's meeee
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/01/20 11:22 AM
5

I am in the same position but a bit older, it's a really scary and intimidating place to be :(
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/01/20 11:28 AM
31

The audacity cracks me everytime...I live in London so the apps are full of tacky tourist boys trying this
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/01/20 09:00 PM
12

I know, it makes me laugh out loud honestly at the sheer bravado.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/01/20 04:24 PM
5

Yeah lmao it’s no better. Because it’s so populated you just have more shit to wade through on the apps
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/12/19 12:27 PM
69

I've never liked men with facial hair and felt very much in the minority of women! So I'm glad I'm not alone!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/11/19 03:19 PM
6

Huuuuuge agree omg. How am I supposed to get a boyfriend when all of them are so DULL, making conversation with them is like pulling teeth
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/11/19 12:46 PM
9

Oh man, I could have written this post! I don't find loads of guys attractive and I find it so hard to gauge off just photos, and I never meet anyone eligible in real life. Also stuck in a female-dominated job! I think I just tell myself that I don't have the time or energy to waste it just forcing myself into a relationship with someone I'm not attracted to/connected to just so I can have a man.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/11/19 11:04 AM
3

I have good photos I think, some taken by photographers with high quality cameras. I'm well groomed and slim, but not super pretty or anything. What 'nerd spaces' are there?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/10/19 03:05 PM
34

Invisible lips, gross beard, rude, aggressive...the audacity
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/10/19 10:09 AM
5

I could write a damn book but an underrated one is 'someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously', for me that's gone from meaning someone down to earth and not pretentious to meaning 'I want someone who won't question where our lame casual relationship is going or call me out if I treat them badly'
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/10/19 03:06 PM
5

Thanks for this, it did make me feel encouraged! I don't see any massive differences between me and my friends with loyal long term boyfriends, which is why it hurts so much that I can't get there. And it's nice to hear someone not tell me to lower my standards!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/10/19 06:33 PM
1

Thanks. I think my profile is pretty good - I have a couple of photos from when I modelled for a photographer, a couple with friends and just one selfie. I'm not overweight either. I guess I'm just unlucky!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/10/19 10:51 AM
2

Lol I guess it's more often 'duh' in the States, but I'm British. It's just like 'of course, that's obvious!'
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/10/19 10:51 AM
2

Thank you. It's the getting to a date in the first place that I seem to struggle with, no matter how many conversations I have. I'm trying to think of it as fun, it's going to require a whole rearranging of my brain! It's hard to think of it as fun when you have 0 success.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/10/19 10:41 AM
7

There's actually quite a few young men who don't like them and are not on them. Yeah, I think the apps definitely aren't helping. I have so little in common with most of the guys using them that it's hard to care about getting to know them. It's hard that it seems to be the main way of meeting people now. I've gone to bars, clubs etc but never met anyone there, and most of my jobs/interests are female-dominated/solitary activities.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/10/19 10:37 AM
8

What makes you say that? I mean, you're probably right given my failure rate, but I have no idea of my 'league' so I don't even know where I'm aiming lol. I don't think I could force myself to date someone I'm not physically attracted to just for the sake of having a man.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/10/19 07:07 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
