I always felt that people reaching out after months were going after 'second strings'. I dont even keep profiles around for long because why keep those matches?matches have an expiration date of like 2 weeks with no contact before going on.

Sooo true! I need to do this. Not long ago a guy I matched with over a YEAR ago and said nothing suddenly messaged me out of the blue. Like hello, can you make it any more obvious you're so desperate you're just looking through your matches to find ANYONE to talk to?! Was I meant to be flattered to be finally messaged after a goddamn year?!?!?!
