I lost 150lbs in the span of a year (weight loss surgery and gym) and during the time that I was adjusting to my new body, before I had skin removal surgery and such, men on dating apps absolutely preyed on me. I left a 6yr relationship and lost half my body weight so I had a ton of loose skin that I hated. My confidence was basically not existent so it was easy for app guys to future fake me into having casual sex then ghost as they do.

And in addition to what you said, sometimes it feels like the constant critique of Pickmeishas here is yet another way to hate on and criticize women. Can women make any choice that is good? Is there only one way to be a HVW? Does posting a photo on IG automatically make you low value just because some scrote saw it and liked it? There are enough spaces on the web dedicated to critiquing every single choice a woman makes down to a granular level, this whole pickmeisha take-down vibe just feels l…

Everyone needs help from time to time. Don't ever be ashamed to ask someone in your life for assistance if you need it. It's a shame that society has brain washed us into thinking that needing or asking for help is somehow "low value". Very Reagan-esque, American mindset.

Best way to get over a crush (one that you have on a man who you actually know) is to ask him for financial help. Watch how he treats you after you ask (he'll probably ghost and try to come back when he thinks you figured something else out) and see if he even bothers giving you any money. Chances are he'll just say "That sucks" when you tell him what your problem is and continue to let you suffer.

I just bought a 3br townhouse for myself (and my dog) in August. People kept asking me what was the reason. I said "My dog and I need a lot of space!" She's an 8lb Shihtzu lol. But in reality I don't owe anyone an explanation. I love my house, my deck, my porch, my garden, my privacy fence, my gigantic canopy bed, and all of my many security cameras. I feel so safe inside my home and don't need some LVM hanging around pretending to protect me in it.

There's being anti-marriage because it basically guarantees you a life of servitude and devotion to lvm and raising children then there's being anti-marriage because some scrote convinced you to provide him with all the benefits of a wife (sex, love, taking care of his scrote ass) without any commitment from him.

There's constant discussion here about how harmful liberal feminism is to society but for some reason, tradcon abuses of women like this tend to fly under the radar of this sub. I look at churches grooming young women to become baby factories for men like this as just another form of sex trafficking. Everytime I see comments and posts here recommending that women go to church to find community and friendship I shudder. Organized religion is terrible for women no matter how you look at it. Going …

Also why did they even bother to focus on that aspect? There's nothing impressive about men deceiving women, it's pretty much all they know. How about interviewing some of the women or finding out literally any other details about this? I hate modern "journalism" if you can even call it that.

I was gaslit about Kyleena. After 3 months I begged my gyn to take it out because I had so many problems with it and she said to give it a year before "just giving up". I had gotten BV and I blamed the IUD for throwing off my pH. She lectured me on safe sex and "taking better care" of my body, gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way. I experienced a total of 12 months of practically nonstop bleeding, random pain/numbness, and general misery. I had a diff gyn take it out and guess what she…

A lot of WM are trash too though, just in a different way It's kinda like that saying- You can date a poor man and cry in a Hyundai or you can date a rich man and cry in a BMW- implying that XY are all trash but choose up if you MUST choose. As a BW, dating outside of my race has been a lot like that. Trash, but in a trashbag made by Louis Vuitton. Versus dating BM which is trash inside of a generic Great Value brand trashbag. Hard to explain but I know other BW on this sub will understand.

Exactly. Like most scammers, the poor grammar and grasp of the English language actually works in their favor because only the extremely gullible will believe that 1) There are random rich men just DYING to spoil random girls online sight unseen and 2) Rich men make it to the top of whatever their field is with shitty grammar and English. Also I never tell people I’m estranged from my family in real life (unless I meet someone who also is). Same! One thing the handbook taught me was about self preservation. No one needs to know that I'm not close to my family but especially not some new man I'm getting to know. Narcs latch onto any kind of vulnerability and definitely prey on people like me who have abandonment issues. I've had narc exes who use the threat of abandonment as a tool of control since that used to be my biggest fear.…

Pretty happy an LVM didn’t get anything. The last person I dated I met after discovering FDS. He absolutely SHOWERED me with expensive gifts and dates then he struck out after a month and a half when I turned him down for sex and he got distant and sulky about it. I haven't seen this film in a few years so my memory is a bit hazy but I do remember that my favorite part of this film is a really tense scene where one of the characters is trying to find out where another character is and you think she's about to go on some mad dash to find them but then she just pulls out a cell phone and calls LOL. In the past 3 years I: Left my LVM ex husband, lost 150lbs, quit smoking, started going back to school, quit a low paying job and now make nearly double what I did, bought a brand new car when my old one finally crapped out, started options trading, earned enough from the stock market to use as a large part of the down payment on my first home, started studying for a certification so I can get credentials. Also as a former online findomme myself, I found that these submissive men are cheap, whiny, annoying, and always trying to "top from the bottom" i.e. boss me around but make it look like I'm the dominant one because that's what turns them on. 🙄 What an annoying dynamic. I think what you're trying to say is that a HVM is a HVM whether you approached first or not and the same goes for LVM. But I think people are downvoting you because the overall point of the article is 1, self preservation- protect yourself from guys described in the article by not approaching- and 2, that a HVM will always approach you if he's interested so you shouldn't even be concerned with approaching him at all. Basically if a man doesn't approach you- HVM or not- he's just not that into y…

They should definitely clarify that. I mean, they do say that you shouldn't be giving men a cheat sheet for figuring you out (i.e. telling them what you're looking for in a man etc) and in my opinion telling them how to treat you on a first date definitely falls into that category.

If you have to tell them to do better on their first date suggestion it's not going to work. Why? Because it's their time to be doing everything in their power to impress you and they already failed by suggesting some subpar place/date. Someone who suggests walking or coffee just is not high value and there's no way to spin that. You telling him to do better is saying "No a coffee date won't give you eventual access to my VJ but maybe a Michelin star will!" That's all he's hearing- how to adjust…

Why do guys always think that looking for a relationship means you want to instantly be in a relationship with someone you just met? Trust me- they don't think that. Men on OLD have created this tired old imaginary narrative that every woman is relationship obsessed and out to marry them after date #1. It's not real and he doesn't actually believe it. Everything he's saying to you in those paragraphs is a lie except for the part about wanting casual. All he wants is sex and he wants YOU to be mo…

Trying to rewatch Gossip Girl as an adult was quite a doozy. If any of the characters ever devoted 5 seconds to either explaining themselves or to listening to someone else explain themself the show would not have a plot. Also the girls constantly forgave the guys for doing some absolutely psychotic shit.

So my point is that the filtering does NOT stop there. Which I’m sure you knew, but just wanted to emphasize it for everyone else reading. Very true. And I mean ultimately I can't even say that I was successful using this method since I ended up saying to hell with it all and quitting OLD altogether. Just saying that my own experience improved having done that. Sadly this method probably won't work for solidly childfree women or women who have kids and don't want more. Also there will still be t…

How is wanting to not work HV? I don't think anyone is saying that not wanting to work = HV. I think the issue here is about choice. She wants the choice to be able to go back to work when she feels ready, not after some arbitrary amount of time when maternity leave is over. As the host says, raising children can be a career, so some women don't view leaving the workforce the way you do ("tanking" their career). Her spouse makes enough that they don't need to outsource child care and miss all th…

Interestingly enough, when I was on OLD I started filtering by "wants kids" and my OLD experience drastically improved. While I don't necessarily want kids myself, I found that compared to the other groups (don't want kids, have kids and do/don't want more) the men in this group were at least genuinely looking for a commitment/relationship more often than the others. It definitely weeded out a lot of the childfree perma-bachelors and divorced single dads trying to be fuckboys for the first time.…

All she did was read a few posts out of context in a sarcastic voice and roll her eyes a bunch. People like her who lack the ability to think critically and can't form an actual argument against the things they don't like will always end up being men's pawns and pickmeishas. She didn't attempt to understand FDS philosophy at all and the whole thing was just immature and in bad faith. Honestly I'm a bit embarrassed for her.

Throwing yourself at him by giving him your number is just going to make him say "Let me entertain this as far as it goes until I actually have to put in some work or get bored." There's this one great scene in the show Grace & Frankie where the kids are having dinner with their fathers who have moved in together and one of them (Bud) says he's pissed off that they have to act like it's all progressive and commendable that their dads came out when in reality they're awful cheaters and liars. It's when they swipe right on everyone for a period of time to play the numbers game to get more matches then they sort through whoever landed in their net. Never trust an "it has to grow organically" answer. This is one of those lines LVM say that sounds like it makes sense but falls completely apart when you analyze it. Manipulators are selfish, and every single thing they do is for their own benefit, not ours. Real compliments are selfless and generous, which is totally counter to the manipulator's very existence. App dating in the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area is uniquely difficult for a few different reasons and I can't say I recommend it. Save your time, money, and sanity by focusing on yourself. Also semi unrelated- I don't know where you're coming from but what's considered a "good starting salary" in most normal places is poverty level in the DMV. For me personally, it took me sooo long (too long) to understand why men are so quick to ghost after sex. You'd think that in a hookup scenario, men would be open to having an ongoing resource and easy access to the one and only thing they want from us (sex). They're always saying they "hAtE gAmEpLaYiNg" and they want someone who's going to be straight up with them. When I hear "kink" I assume it's some combo of violence and sex mixed together at varying degrees. From light spanking to outright snuff etc. I think there's something off about wanting to be hurt or to hurt others during sex and the fact that it's so widely accepted. I think people who get off on that need to ask themselves why mixing pain with pleasure is so important to them. all the attention feels very intrusive and annoying. I went from 300lbs to 150lbs and I relate to this so hard. It's not like going from invisible to all of a sudden being seen. It's more like going from invisible to being actively hunted by countless predators. I've now been at a healthy BMI for around 3 years (roughly since my marriage ended) and I'm still not used to the feeling of walking into a room and having everyone (regardless of gender) staring, men falling all over themselves to talk …

Like 5ish years ago I was about to hook up with someone I had no business hooking up with (pre FDS ofc) and I saw he had what looked like a red rash on his shaft. Not bumpy like an STD but more like a scrape that you would get from falling on pavement. I asked him wtf it was and he said "It's from friction." 😬 At the time I didn't know too much about porn addiction and such so I assumed he got it from hooking up with tons of girls (LOL AS IF) and I passed on the hook up. I remember thinking "How…

She probably has been hurt but is still looking at the instances on a case by case basis rather than realizing that her experiences are common and that most men will hurt her the same way(s) if given the chance. It took me many many years of hurt feelings and a much broken heart before I realized that it wasn't a coincidence or a one-off case of mistreatment and that the vast majority of men are "like that". First of all- virginity is a concept made up by the patriarchy and is absolutely NOT real nor is it at all important to any sane, normal man. Virginity is yet another made up concept to control women's bodies. Second of all- if he didn't have a problem with your virginity (or lack thereof) he'd have a problem with something else about you. And it's not the virginity or the way you dress or your haircut or anything else that's the problem. It's just about control. You said yourself that you overc…

It's called "dogfishing" and as a dog owner myself the first thing I want to do is ask about their dog. So when they say it's not theirs that's an instant unmatch. The only reason for a man to have a photo of a pet that's not theirs is to manipulate and no one can tell me otherwise.

Watching this season I had the same thoughts about Justin as you. He is human trash. And I personally could never be with an actor because it seems like they often struggle to separate real life from acting. Basically he acted like everything was fine to her face then blindsided her and sent her a freaking text! Wtf! What kind of person does such a thing?? Chrishell deserves so much better and my heart just breaks for her.

I was basically my ex husband's mom. Forcing him to groom himself and clean. Picking up after him and living my life around his gaming schedule and football season. I used to think I was bad with money but in reality- he was the one who was bad with our money. Before FDS, my friends whining about their men treating them terribly was just a minor annoyance and I would try my very best to be patient and listen and give advice that I know they won't take. But now? It literally pains me to listen to it. The gaslightling, the emotional abuse, the cheating, the mental abuse, etc that they accept from these men. I just can't do it anymore, especially when I know there's another way to live and if they just read the handbook they can be free from it too. I ac…

My ex husband was like this about new people. He basically stopped making new friends after college and refused to let new people into his social circle. So he wouldn't befriend any of my girlfriends' boyfriends or husbands but he'd always want his toxic homies from childhood and college around. Lots of them were extremely mentally ill or even PUAs. Like it was bad.

In my personal life and in my social circles, when it comes to dating, we talk a lot more about things that pertain to us- dealing with microaggressions, battling tradition, religion and other cultural hurdles, discussing why hypergamy is absolutely necessary to even begin to even the playing field for us, conquering centuries of conditioning to make us behave in certain ways with men that are specifically tied to our race, and lots more discussion centered around race and class issues. I'll probably get downvoted for saying this, but there are a couple things I disagree with from the handbook/FDS philosophy and this is the main one. I don't think it's wise or healthy to spread your time and energy out in this manner- giving it to men who are most likely not HVM. I think it makes more sense to have tons of hobbies and other things going on so that you don't focus too much on a guy, but dating tons of others really doesn't seem necessary or wise. You're opening yourself up to a …

My mom doesn't have abandonment issues (beyond the fact that she herself is an abandononer of others) she is a pickme, a narcissist, and a product of her generation/society. Frankly, I'm thankful to OP for opening up this discussion because generational pickmeism is something that never gets talked about enough. I checked and from what I read it sounds more like advice against age gap relationships for sub-25 young women and older men. I'm 30 and divorced so I don't really feel like there is much of a "maturity gap" here. But I'm going to stop commenting now so I don't keep getting downvoted lol. I fully support the moves this person made in order to make more money. I also did something similar to make more and I make a lot more than other women my age or older who have degrees (I don't have one at all). I always tell my girlfriends what I make and I encourage them to ask for more. This is one area where even though it's controversial, we should get over that and try to help other women succeed as much as we can.

Think about your father dating someone 20 years younger. Also, are you willing to start caring for him when he's in his 70's and you're in your 50's? Ironically my dad is married to someone who is much younger than he is! Also I don't mind caring for my husband when he's older. He's also fairly wealthy so I'd probably opt for an in-home carer to assist him if he gets really feeble at some point. Good questions to be asking myself! Thank you

Genuinely curious- why is it taking you longer than 24 hours to respond? I've always wanted to ask delayed texters because to me it seems like a huge sign of disrespect. Because you saw the text (in 24 hours there's no way you didn't) then chose to ignore and not respond until way way later.

Does anyone else get put on edge when a HVM displays HV actions after a lifetime of getting poor treatment from LVMs? This guy who I've been seeing, he's so thoughtful, courteous, patient, and kind. It just makes things harder for us and easier for them. It allows them to gaslight us. They'll say things like "Well it worked for every other girl" and give up as if they shouldn't have to try anymore. I just want to point out that they'll still say this regardless of past experiences suggesting otherwise. Not because it's true but to shame you and to avoid admitting they're wrong about something. Yeah... OP you're just giving him more fuel to tell the next one that you were "crazy". Imagine if you were seeing someone and they sent you a screenshot of this interaction with 0 context. People get offended for the same reason that it's offensive to fat people to say "I will never support obesity." While that may be true, it's usually uttered in a completely non-constructive format, totally unprompted, with the thinly veiled intention to shame the fat person/sex worker rather than to provide any sort of solution or alternative. People who are fat or sell their bodies often feel as though society doesn't treat them fairly, that they have no other options, sometimes their mental h…

Has anyone ever had a brand new item from LV come in the dust cover inside of just the store bag rather than inside the dust cover, inside of a box tied with a blue ribbon, inside of the store bag? Maybe I think all SM couples are phonies and I'm being overly suspicious for no reason but something seemed off about that to me (and the fact that the store bag is awfully crinkled for it to be a new one). But if this is real then good for her!!

As a former stripper this is spot on. Fake google voice number will stroke their ego and get them spending more money in the club. Then when they leave, they can use the GV# to find out when you're working then come back and spend more money. Men are idiots. I know this sub is very much against SW (for very valid reasons) but I think there's definitely something to be learned from stripper tactics.

Also as a SWer, men will constantly whine to me about how their ex wife "became a lesbian" after the divorce. Yes that's right, John, she stopped sleeping with you 10 years ago because she's gay, not because you're a disgusting ogre who now needs to pay for it or go without. 9 times out of 10, she's not suddenly gay, you're just awful.
