Aw, thank you! Sometimes I over analyze things and my feelings. I’m with a really good man and we love each other. I think it’s unrealistic of me to expect the butterflies to last forever. I have done keto on and off for four years and recently lost 10 lbs on the diet. It’s my preferred way of eating, and now that I think of it, I felt a lot more centred and stable when I cut out sugar and carbs. I’m trying to get back on the wagon. Re: weight training, do you have any easy-to-learn, but effecti…

Thank you for your comment. Amazing insight. Yes, I do love him, and I’m scared of a life without him. I know that if we break up, another girl will snatch him up and that will be the end of us forever. He is excited to marry and start a family with me. When I was considering a job in a very hodunk town in a very hodunk part of the country, he said he would apply to the university in that town if I were to take the job. This is big, because he is a city boy at heart and would never willingly mov…

He has undergraduate loan debt. 40k. I didn’t pay a cent out of pocket for graduate school as my funding package was very generous. Most of the other schools I applied to offered at least half of the cost of study in the form of scholarships. We are not in the US and tuition is much cheaper. We are in the same field of study and I imagine he will be offered similar funding packages. But yeah, his 40k debt from undergrad is worrisome. I am working on losing weight. I recently lost ten pounds, but…

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I was most definitely looking for advice. I do not want to break up with him, but I’m worried because this is my first ever relationship and have nothing to compare it to, and I’m unsure of whether the diehard feelings are supposed to fall by the wayside with time. I needed to hear someone tell me to tough it out and work on the relationship and myself, so thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I regret ever taking hormonal birth control. Luckily the severe depression has gone away, but it’s been 1.5 years since I’ve been off hormonal BC entirely and I still don’t feel 100% like the old me. I’ve tried some holistic methods, but I’m wary of going to the doctor because I do not want to be prescribed medication for depression.

Thank you both for your posts. To clarify, the first three months of our relationship were together in the same city. Then the summer was over and I had to go back to school and we embarked on one year of long distance. During that time, he flew out to see me twice and I flight out to see him once. The second year we were in the same area (he was only about an hour’s drive away), as I moved to attend a grad school closer to him. He came over and stayed with me almost every weekend. I made the de…

First of all, apologies for taking two months to reply! This is not my main Reddit account. He’s hesitant about spending a lot of money on one particular item, even if he likes it, which is why it’s a nice treat :)

I wouldn't worry about it. My boyfriend is vastly different on the phone when he's in public/around other people compared to when he's alone. When there's people around, he's formal and sounds distant. When it's just him, he's lovey-dovey and back to his regular self. I understand though... he can't say "love you too, baby cakes" in front of his friends, lol.

Thank you, tempintheeastbay, for posting this article. I am the same way, but only I am a total slob privately throughout the week. Come Friday, I hurriedly clean before my boyfriend stays with me for the weekend. I am cleaner than I was a few years ago, though... boy, I hoarded crap like crazy. Then I had to move across the country for school and could only bring a few boxes. Donated and threw away everything and it felt amazing! I agree! Multi-year dating makes sense when you're young and college-aged because life is kind of transient, e.g. travelling, or a year-long study abroad, or interning for the summer in a new city. Plus there's moving away for grad school or your first "real" job post-graduation, so temporary LDRs are pretty common. Those in their late 20s and early 30s have generally settled in their city of choice and have permanent, stable employment. It's amazing what a) being permanently in the same city an…

I don't think my boyfriend even knows what "red pill" means, save for the Matrix or something. I've been on the RP subreddit before and I probably wouldn't date 99% of the guys on there. Way too much vitriol for my taste and you can only read the words 'cum dumpster' so many times. Anyways, I sought out for a strong, masculine man who encourages me to be my best and cares for me... and got one :) Our relationship is pretty traditional as well.

I was in a LDR for one year with my boyfriend, so I totally understand what you're going through! The long distance part of our relationship ended when I moved across the country for graduate school, just an hour's drive from where he lives. But he flew & visited me a few times during that one year. Does he have any favourite foods? My boyfriend enjoys chocolate cake for dessert, so I made it completely from scratch, even the buttercream frosting for the first night he arrived. He loved it. I th…

Eh, not a fan of this article tbh. While I positively abhor the overt left-wing, feminist culture that has managed to sweep my college campus by storm, I still don't regret going. It was facing these kinds of people (and these kinds of young women) that helped solidify the many (RP) positions I hold today. I studied economics. I took a women in the economy seminar with a pretty renowned economist and learned a lot of neat things. For example, educated (and wealthy) men in North America today OVE…

I'm in university and it's pretty commonplace for girls my age to initiate a "are we exclusive?" conversation before outright saying the terms 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend' which signal a relationship. We think it's less likely to scare the guy off. The latter conversation just seems much more serious. My understanding of "exclusive" is pretty much identical to that of a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship -- no dating/seeing/having sex with anybody else.

I'm so incredibly blessed that my boyfriend is flying 2,700 miles to be with me for Christmas break. I'm just so giddy thinking about it. We're going to be in an LDR until April 2016 unfortunately, so these week-long visits mean the world to me. But I digress. I got him an Invictus watch, the one that looks like the Rolex Submariner. He loves watches, although he only has a few. I hope he really likes it and wears it often. I plan on buying all the ingredients for his favourite foods a few days …

The tampon tax is similarly related to the Pink Tax. Now, I'm an economics fiend. Studied it in university. Everything's an economic story, even the price of a Dove beauty bar vs. Dial. The simple reason why women's personal products (razors, deodorants, etc) are a little more expensive than men's products is because women are willing to pay more for these gender-specific items than men are. If they weren't, they would buy men's products instead and manufacturers would respond by lowering the pr…

RPW helped me cultivate a softer, vulnerable side. Prior to this sub, I thought being a modern woman entailed the embodiment of a "I'm a strong, independent woman who don't need no man" kind of persona. I realized that was a crudely masculine way to act and it was getting me no where. I was also overly argumentative, believing I was always right, and not very flexible. Luckily I had a lot of other feminine traits, like my love of cooking and baking, and I was generally a nice and sociable person…

Yeah, I'm 5'1" and I can eat 1,000 calories a day if I want to lose weight, according to my doctor. But it would be very different if I were, say, 6 feet tall. Keto is pretty easy to explain though: if asked, I just say I'm not eating sugar or carb-heavy foods and people seem to understand that. I just don't mention that I stay within the 1000-1100 calorie range because then people will say that's """"dangerously anorexic"""" lol please. I'm not a 280 lb football player. I've been with my boyfriend for about five months and we've never actually fought. On the rare occasions that I get very moody and difficult, he is so incredibly patient with me. He never freezes me out or acts untoward. He's never once made it into a fight. Some red flags for me: Lacks ambition, doesn't work hard, and doesn't have any future goals he's aspiring to achieve- I can't be with someone like this because I simply will not respect him. A leader of the home should have those traits. Has female best friends that he hangs out with one-on-one. Spends recklessly outside of his budget.

Just bought my man this watch. It's a homage to the Rolex Submariner, but for literally 1/50th of the price. I'm a 22-year-old broke graduate student and can't really afford the real McCoy, but I spent a few hours searching reviews and videos on Amazon, Youtube, and various watch connoisseur blogs, and it's an extremely solid and attractive choice from what I can see. Hm, I wouldn't. I've never asked my boyfriend about his sexual past or old ex-girlfriends. He's 24 and has had eight sexual partners before me, but I only know this because we were playing a drinking game the first week we had met (it was a language retreat for university students). I never would have asked him. The vast majority of those 8 partners were meaningless flings and one night stands, he said. Spaghetti carbonara. I've made Nigella's version before and it is to die for. You can use thick-cut bacon as a substitute for pancetta, but make sure to use real parmigiano-reggiano and grate it yourself - not the stuff that comes in Kraft cans. It's pricier, but you can find moderately priced chunks at Costco. It's a crowd-pleaser. Most people enjoy it. Getting hungry just thinking about it. I'm in a cross-continental LDR myself and the end date is about ten months from now. I was in his hometown for the whole summer, which is where we met, and we fell very deeply for one another. I technically had my own place, and stayed there some nights, but I lived at his for most of it. It was the best three months of my life. Sauteed spinach with bacon. Fry bacon until done and cut into small pieces. Don't throw out the bacon grease - just throw heaps of spinach into the pan and cook for a few minutes, then re-add bacon. A delicious side dish. Another great side dish would be sliced mushrooms sauteed in lots and lots of salted butter. You can't turn someone ambitious, no matter how hard you try to. He's a lazy guy who, at 25, is already talking about leaving the workplace to stay home with your future kids. Money isn't everything, but don't you want to be able to save for your children's education? Or hell, even just new school clothes for them in September? You can lead a simple life void of vacations and other luxuries, but what about saving for retirement and other rainy-day funds? This things will be more important to you…

I echo everyone's recommendation for the Kitchenaid stand mixer, but I'd also recommend a nice everyday purse. I have a black leather Kate Spade that I've been using daily for the past thirteen months and it still looks great. I paid around $200 for it at Nordstrom Rack. For things like purses, I tend to lean towards quality over quantity.

If the woman worked while married, alimony is very little, if at all. But in the event that she stopped working in order to be a stay-at-home wife and mother, then she will be compensated if the marriage contract is broken.

I feel for you, SunkissedDame. What a horrid position to be in. If, like you said, his "greatest concern is getting married and his wife suddenly leaving him and taking all of his money" then an iron-clad pre-nuptial should subdue those worries. I wouldn't wear them. Perhaps I'm a bit confused over the ambiguity of the word 'dress-code' in this context because I'm imagining a piece of paper he's drawn up of things I'm not allowed to wear, like no skirts that end two-inches before the knee and things like that. What he's doing is blatantly disrespectful. RP relationships are a two-way street: you should always strive to be the best and supportive SO you can be for him, but if he's treating you like he is now...well, honey, I'm afraid this isn't a good sign. Make-up wise, I use quite a few products but I wear them minimally. I begin with Lancome Visionnaire Correcteur as a moisturizer, then apply Lancome Teint Miracle foundation…

If you're okay with used or consignment clothing, I suggest hitting up your local Goodwills, Value Villages, hospital/hospice charity shops, as well as independent local consignment stores. You can find some real gems.

Same here. I'm a generous person and I enjoy taking my friends out for coffee or dinner. I'm lucky in that a lot of my friends extend the same courtesy to me. When it comes to romantic relationships, I don't mind paying some of the time. But I do think the onus is on him, though.

I'm personally a virgin (waiting until marriage), but I think the number of sex partners deemed appropriate depends on her relationship history. If she's had two sexual partners at 26 because she's been in two LTRs that haven't worked out, then she's still going to be a great mate. It's not ideal, but like another RPW said, life happens. I personally think any number above five is really high, but that's just me.

Yeah, four-year universities can be overwhelming and party-heavy, especially in your first year when it seems like that's all people are doing. I'm getting my CPA. The program I'm in has good ties with the Big Four accounting firms, so hopefully a job with KPMG in a year crosses fingers

Very smart - having your own place makes eating keto 100x times more doable. I still live in a freshman dorm (as an RA) and I'm struggling. I'm studying econ/poli sci and graduating this semester. Heading to business school this September. How about you?

Last semester was the first one of my senior year, haha, but we're like the same person regardless. Are you living in a freshman dorm? Usually they have dining halls and no full-service kitchens, so it makes eating keto that. much. harder. Dining halls are so carb heavy.

He's probably not going to take you back. You both treated each other terribly because you two aren't right for each other - toxic relationships aren't romantic, they're harmful. You shouldn't be fighting for this, or for him. Work on yourself for awhile. Focus on treating your friends and family better as practice on how you'll be able to act in a relationship again. Unless you're a raging bitch to everyone you know, you may not even have an anger management problem - he may have just brought o…

I first attempted it last summer and lost ten pounds. Then, I gained it all back during my first semester and started again this January. I'm steadily losing with a tummy full of eggs and bacon everyday - crazy, right? How about you? Edit: I just looked at your recent posts and see that you are also a libertarian...RPW, keto, and a libertarian? What are the everloving odds?
/r/RedPillWomen23/02/15 06:04 PM

Unrelated to Valentine's Day, but I'm also RPW and on keto! We must be soul sisters or something.

I bet you're a fantastic girlfriend. I do. You are going to make a guy very happy one day. But I believe RPW is a spectrum - on one side, you have the girls who embody everything feminine in this world; they are very sweet and don't talk back or out of turn, they cook, they clean, they watch their manners and their language. Textbook RPW. But on the other side, there are girls who still adhere to RPW values (not as strictly and not as well) and are a little rougher around the edges. I fit into t…

I'm exactly the same. I am pretty fiery but not an unpleasant person to be around (quite the opposite) - this being said, I'm not sure if I can tone myself down completely to be the most docile and agreeable of little lambs. I am working on myself to tone down my more aggressive features, but I need an alpha male to check me when I'm being unreasonable.

Personally, I wouldn't bother going. It's just radical third-wave feminists who talk about how gender is social construct and therefore doesn't exist and blah blah blah and I just end up infuriated. Laci Green recently came to my college campus to speak and I didn't think twice about it.

I definitely agree with you. Luckily girls like that are birds of a feather that flock together, so they're easy to avoid. Oh, I forgot to mention that if your university offers fitness classes at the athletic centre (like Zumba, pilates, or similar), that's also a good way to meet other girls (with the added benefit of staying in shape).

I'm in my senior year of university and I have plenty of girlfriends - many acquaintances and about ten close girls I regularly hang out with, I'd say. Some are fairly promiscuous, but most are not. I would suggest getting a job on campus where lots of other college girls work. I'm an RA and I've met some of my closest friends through this. Meeting people in class is very difficult once you get older. In first year, everyone was wide-eyed and bushy-tailed and just yearning to meet real friends s…

Women have been the majority at university campuses since 1991, roughly, so the last male-dominated university class graduated in 1990. Since then, there has been a steady decline of men attending university compared to women. Sure, at that time, plenty of college-aged women in 1991 had access to men who graduated a decade before them - but today? Hell no. Most 22-year-old girls aren't interested in a 47-year-old man who graduated in 1990.

In the statistics used by Pew Social Trends collected to discern the differences between the educated and non-educated, 'educated' does equal attending college or university. Of course, someone can be extremely intelligent without having to go to school. But that's not relevant to the economic argument I'm making here.

OP - I hear what you're saying loud and clear. It is really disheartening to read a lot of the stuff on there about how women are nothing but "cum dumpsters" and things like that - especially since we're the girls who are trying to improve ourselves to be better girlfriends and ultimately wives - but I just try to avoid that subreddit altogether. They don't speak for all RP men or all men in general. Hopefully that's just a phase. All in all, we're not trying to please men like that. They're try…

Whenever a recession hits, the first ones to their lose jobs are always men working a trade that's a little more vulnerable to boom and bust. That's because the industries likely to come to a screeching halt are construction-based and heavily male-oriented. My father worked for a welding company during the 2008 recession - if it wasn't for his 30-year seniority, he would've been laid off, just like half the company. Trades a good alternative for a man who doesn't want to go to university, but it…

I definitely get what you're saying, but the pay gap between the educated and non-educated has grown. While attending university doesn't guarantee a high income right away, over time it will pay off. Pew Trends: - from 1965 to 2013, the real wage for a typical high school graduate fell by 10%. - a young college-educated worker typically makes $45,500 a year compared to $28,000 for someone with a high school education. That's a gap of $17,500 - a gap that will inevitably grow as the college-educa…

I'm from Vancouver and Seattle is remarkably similar in most respects. Expect: a lot of environmentalists and left-wingers (they have a very high city-imposed minimum wage); a high acceptance of gay culture; good coffee! they love their coffee as much as we do up North; TO LOVE THE SEATTLE SEAHAWKS! no, really, they're doing great and it's about time a team from the Pacific Northwest starting kicking some serious ass. we're often neglected compared to the powerhouses of the East and Washingtonia…

lmao perhaps if you forced me to live in the wild for six years, my biological instinct will kick in to prefer facial hair on a rough and hardy man who will protect me from the elements. that's probably the only way you'll get me to change my preference.

Liking facial hair has nothing to do with being a "real" woman or an RPW - some girls like the aesthetic, some don't. It's just a personal preference in attraction, that's all.

It's official: I'm hopping back onto the Keto bandwagon. Did it over the summer and dropped 10 lbs pretty easily - after a semester back at uni, I gained all of it back and probably more so. It's sooooooo hard to do Keto at school because the dining hall is a carbohydrate nightmare, but this post has changed my mind.

I think you're under the impression that all women have some innate desire to have sex with multitudes of men, either just for fun or to weigh her options. While that's the case for a lot of women, it's not the case for all - and definitely not for me. When I meet the one I'm supposed to be with, both emotionally and sexually, I will never stray. Like Paul Newman once said, why go out for hamburger when I can have steak at home?

Well, I did have a boyfriend, so that's probably a reason why people think I've had sex. I also went through a very sad and lonely phase where I kept bringing home guys I had just met, and while we never did anything but make-out, talk, and watch movies, very rarely do I ever correct my friends' assumptions of went on. I usually go after guys that are charming, popular, and good-looking, and after reading things on the Red Pill, I guess they're the ones who want to sleep around at this point in …

I'm 21 and graduating from university this year and she is spot on. Most guys my age aren't looking for a relationship. I get that. But a girl gets lonely, you know? I went through a phase recently where I brought home a random guy every month for a semester, and while we never did anything but make-out, I always felt terrible about myself afterwards. I've come to the realization that if a guy who barely knows me is trying to sleep with me, then he probably doesn't want to seriously date me.
