Oh yes! I absolutely feel the same way. I actually live in the same area as Andy NGO and I can confirm that it is really lonely for anyone in the gay community that even just has a slightly different political opinion. People are very quick to label you a bigot or whatever. It’s really unfortunate. The LGBT community is not very tolerant of different opinions in my area. I think they’ve focused too much on outward acceptance and not focused on being internally resilient. Anyone who feels comfort…

I know people with aspergers who really struggle with it... like REALLY struggle. So I don’t really know how implying that it’s not a big thing is helpful... it’s not a competition as to who has it worse. He exhibited some significant autistic tendencies, according to those who knew him, so that’s the only thing I’m willing to say about it. As a young kid with mild autism I thought he was cool to read about growing up. That’s all I got.

Alan Turing is one of my heros! I’m a lesbian but I’m white and on the conservative side so I would be told to shut up by feminists. In addition to being chemically castrated for being gay after he saved his country he was also severely autistic. He is also credited with being a driving force for modern day computers!

If he gave birth to the child he should be labeled in a way the identifies that. I am all for transgender rights but there are a few situations where we need to be realistic. This is one of those situations. It also shouldn’t change anything to acknowledge facts. A person can still identify as a man even if their child’s birth certificate doesn’t reflect that.

One of my female friends went on a 1st date really stoned and barely spoke to the guy because she was so out of it. She was horrified that he would say that maybe next time she shouldn’t come to their date high. She acted like he was trying to control her. It was ridiculous and of course our other female friends initially agreed with her until I was like “I would never go on a 2nd date with someone that rude!” She still thinks she was in the right. The bar is set really, really low for straight …

All of my straight female friends are like that as well. I’m a lesbian so I try to explain to them they they are expecting a lot (especially because they aren’t bringing much to the table themselves) but they don’t really get it. One keeps rejecting guys over their voice being too high. 🙄 All my guy friends just want someone who is nice to them.

I once dated a nurse practitioner who was in charge of a local prison’s medical facility. She told me that her staff would fight over who had to serve the female prisoners because they were far more evil. She said the men might be more violent more often but the females could be just as violent but were far more manipulative and fucked everyone up emotionally. Just her experiences but for what it’s worth the women’s prisons are well known for being horrible too.

I’m just shocked she is actually serving prison time. She will have to serve the entire sentence so that is a significant punishment which isn’t usually given to female sex offenders like her.

This is a great reminder but one thing that is missing imho is that men/women or boys/girls do not always express their emotions in the same way. I’m a woman but I’ve noticed throughout my life that my male friends, father, brother and young nephews often express their grief or sadness in more physical ways. It is important for us all to not assume that the only way to express sadness is by crying. Just my 2 cents as I’ve noticed a lot of this conversation at least on social media seems to assum…

Yep. I mentioned above that I was told for years by my doctors I wasn’t at a higher risk even though every women on my dad’s side had breast cancer because it needed to be on my moms side. I think they are trying to address incorrect information many doctors told their patients.

To be fair, for 15+ years I was told by every PCP I had that all the women on my fathers side having breast cancer DIDN’T increase my risk. My grandma and her 4 sisters all had it at least once. I was told it was only my moms side that increased my risk. Her side didn’t have it so my insurance refused paying for genetic testing. So I think this advertisement is actually trying to correct the myth that only the mothers side contributes to the risk of breast cancer. They should have worded it bett…

You made an incorrect assumption about what i was saying and read into it based on your prejudices. Never once did I say men not helping women was the worst part. My point is that men fearing to help women is the worst part of feminism, which I believe it to be, because men shouldn’t have to live like that. And believe it or not, most men do have a natural instinct to help women and children. The same thing is true about women no longer valuing the role of motherhood. Men and women are not the s…

Thank you for the great discussion! This group has been great. This topic really brings out a lot of vitriol from both sides and it sometimes makes contributing to the conversation difficult. I honestly think a lot of this is real fear that has been created because young women are conditioned to think society and especially men are out to get them. So they see sexism, racism, bigotry and danger in just everyday situations. I was not raised to think of myself as a victim so being a victim was not something I looked around for. It is a shame because feminism really has hurt the development of young women and men by pushing their ideology. It’s very sad and I am doing everything I can t…

I like that she put “lying about rape” in quotes as though there are not instances of women lying about rape that are proven. They never actually present an argument for their statement. They just call people names.

This is the thing I don’t understand. The same people who call a woman not having access to abortions “slavery” (even though she has many options to prevent the child from being conceived in the first place or could give up the child to loving parents through adoption) are totally fine forcing a man into the same situation even though he doesn’t have the same options. They also are usually fine with men being forced to financially support their ex spouse even if no children are involved. Once ag…

But once again it is very easy to prevent getting pregnant. Very, very easy. I’m so tired with everyone acting like it’s impossible to prevent pregnancy when it is not only very easy but also not expensive. Slavery is not the same as a consequence for one’s own actions. Period.

Actually I believe it is a medical procedure to a point and I don’t believe the government should get involved in the decisions of citizens. But good job making a complicated issue into “it’s killing babies!”
/r/MensRights18/06/19 02:16 PM

It’s also only ever unfair when a mother is “forced” to parent. There are plenty of men who are forced to parent legally and that is celebrated. I’m all for people having abortions if they choose but it’s not the same thing as slavery. The comparison belittles actual slavery that still is common throughout the world.

Making a decision that has consequences (pregnancy) is not the same as someone stealing you, bringing you to a different country and forcing you to work for them without having any rights. Having a child is not forced labor. You are just as big of an idiot.

I’m a woman and that is a fucking stupid thing to say. I’m pro choice simply because I don’t think the government should be involved but women make choices to have sex without using protection. To compare anything to slavery, except for actual slavery, is just wrong.

Statistically speaking female managers are harder on their female employees than their male employees. Most women, myself included, would prefer having a boss that is a man. Yeah it’s a true statement in theory but a lot of the legislation and policies feminist want to implement decrease the rights a men. For example, domestic violence programs that assume the man is the perpetrator of the violence. Feminism isn’t about equality.

I have no sisters. I am not a feminist. I actually support MRA. I align more with MRAs than with feminists. I however see in your comment what I hate in the feminist movement. 1.) assuming because I have a vagina that I am a part of or responsible for feminism and 2.) this need to make an issue worse for your side. I will never support circumcision and will do what I can to speak against it. However, the way to get the practice banned is not to belittle FGM. It’s to argue that both are wrong.

It’s actually not that difficult in some cases which is why more women are being sentenced to jail for doing it. There have been a few situations where police did not turned over evidence that the woman was lying to the courts in England. More and more is starting to come out about false rape allegations which is a good thing imho.
/r/MensRights07/06/19 07:08 PM

I don’t know how anyone could justify allowing false rape allegations to not be a crime. It’s illegal to file a false police report. Knowingly making false statements about someone isn’t protected speech under free speech laws. Most likely the only time anyone will actually be charged with this crime would be in cases where the evidence is overwhelming that the accusations was made in order to harm someone. I don’t see how this is anything but ensuring justice for those that are wrongfully accus…

Well for one there is a flaw in the idea that just because most families have two income earners that means both earners work the same amount. What the fuck are you talking about? I’m not bickering about anything. It’s really not that serious. I think more than one issue affecting more than one demographic can be important at the same time. I literally said that. All I said is we have to be able to talk about people as a Group if we’re going to discuss issues affecting a group. Learn to read.
/r/MensRights04/06/19 11:29 PM
6

Who is bickering about who has it worse? I never suggested that. There are significant issues that effect men and women. In order to address them we have to be able to discuss them. No one is saying one is more important than the other.
/r/MensRights04/06/19 05:26 PM
27

I agree but we do have to be able to discuss issues people within a group face while acknowledging that individuals within that group might have different experiences. There are concerns men tend to deal with while there are other issues that historically women had. It seems like the USA has legally corrected many of the issues women dealt with but we haven’t addressed the concerns of men.

Her brother will end up going to jail for murder which he 100% deserves. Her lie has destroyed the lives of two men. That isn’t even taking into account the lives of the people in both families that will suffer a loss. She should at minimum get charged with filing a false police report.

I am a woman that is supportive of MGTOW for the most part but they have banned me after I commented on one post. I’ve had multiple commenters on MGTOW boards DM me for advice about topics like dating and how to give oral sex (I’m a lesbian) and I happily provide it. Yet I get banned from the board with the justification that my presence is threatening. 🙄 It makes them look like a bunch of pussies... just like feminists.

Of course they openly endorse hate. Not all of them of course but many do. There are some well known feminist who have written articles about hating the fact that they are pregnant with a boy. Some have written articles about how they know their sons might end up being rapists. That is insane and only someone with a lot of hatred for men would project onto their sons. And the vitriol women like myself face from them is even worst. Many feminists, like most groups, are a bunch of hypocrites.
/r/MensRights01/05/19 04:39 PM

I would disagree that most feminists would not agree with the statement. As a woman who is not a feminist I have found that they tend to be very cruel and think the ends justify the means. They pretend that all men are Elon Musk in order to justify their hatred of men. Most men work jobs they hate for modest salaries and feminist still act like those men are oppressing them.

Yeah I think there is more to the story. I knew a man whose wife declared their child wasn’t his the moment they were getting divorced thinking that he would no longer have custody rights. We live in Washington state so the courts actually said that the paternity didn’t matter as he had raised the kid as his own for 3 years prior. He actually has sole custody now and has never actually check to find out if he is the kids father because to him it doesn’t matter.
/r/MensRights20/04/19 04:16 PM

Yeah. Maybe he thought they were his? I’ve seen women do this to the actual fathers of their kids but in this case he is probably just a dick.
/r/MensRights20/04/19 02:10 AM

Explain it. The article clearly states the man (her ex boyfriend) wanted the test but she refused saying he was not the father and only trying to stalker her. The only reason to not want to perform the test is because if he is the father he has rights.
/r/MensRights20/04/19 02:05 AM

I doubt he did it only because she is a journalist. He unmatched her when he read the crazy ass articles she has written. /r/MensRights20/04/19 01:28 AM

It sounded from the article like she was trying to deny her children’s father access to them by refusing a paternity test he sought. She couldn’t see them for 39 days but was trying to make it so he couldn’t see them ever. Maybe I misunderstood.

I have found that the mothers who scream the loudest about being overwhelmed are the ones who do the least. Fuck off. It is gross that a doctor discussed the penis size of an infant. No it doesn’t harm anyone but I have the right to my opinion. If someone said that about the boobs of a 12-13 year old girl people would be horrified too. If you don’t think it’s gross that is fine. I don’t know why you care so much about the opinion of a total stranger. Also, many people have agreed with me and made similar comments. It’s not that serious.

I DO have to think about being healthy and slim though. I think about it whenever I decide not to give into all of my food cravings. I think about it when I’m at the gym 5 nights a week. I think about it when I decide not to drink a 3rd glass of wine. I don’t have thin privilege!

Ummm. Judging a situation is not the same as provoking or verbally insulting someone. Are you serious?

I totally misunderstood what you were saying. I totally agree with you which is why I appreciate the fact that in America we have due process and the assumption of innocence. I was horrified to hear that they literally started naming off men in public who they accused of wrongdoing. That is absurd and absolutely was going to lead to a young man killing himself. Ridiculous.

I am confused by the “it’s not your job to judge” line. I have every right to judge whomever I choose. And humans constantly are judging things regardless of if we realize it or not.

Many boys have complications after being circumcised and some lose their penis. Even if it is rare it isn’t a risk that should be forced on a child. If a grown man wants to take that risk he can.

Perfectly said. If a grown man wants to do it as an expression of his religious belief that is fine. Also, I don’t think the rest of us should pay for it.

Oh I agree. Everyday there is a new story like this that proves women face no consequences.

How many of these stories will it take for people to stop going easy on these female teachers who RAPE their students? It’s unbelievable.

Wow. He was actually sentenced to death originally for this crime. The only thing worse than spending 23 years in prison for a crime you didn’t commit is being executed for a crime you didn’t commit. This is heartbreaking.

Your friend is an idiot. I’m a woman and I don’t hate other women. I just care about the rights of men in addition to women.

There was a time when men would fight and it wasn’t a big deal. People have become such pussies.

Of course he deserves his spot. I disagree with his views but there was no evidence that he actually did anything wrong. I am a woman and I was horrified by how people treated him. It was racists and sexist to assume he acted a specific way 35 years ago because he is a white, male.

The ACLU has become full of ideological SJWs. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I don’t understand why she isn’t in jail herself. Can he at least sue her in civil court?

Good for you. I’m a woman and my brother would still defend me. It’s not being a white knight, it is being a good brother.

I am a woman and the Kavanaugh thing still infuriates me. It was ridiculous. The Democrats don’t care about women they care about power. They are hypocrites and terrible. They have no moral center.

Wow. The poor teacher was put in a no win situation. I wonder what the biological female students parents thought? I can’t imagine my father being cool with a male teacher seeing me naked even if I claimed to be a man.

As a woman I find this really condescending. In the end women just don’t want to take responsibility for their actions.

She deserved a longer sentence. Shame on Buzzfeed. Men have gone to jail for years over women lying about being raped. They should absolutely be held accountable for making a false report to the police. Women are not children. We can, and should, be held responsible for our actions.

I am a pro men’s rights and anti feminist female too. I think you did a good thing. Their reaction is dumb but not surprising unfortunately. It’s sad we are at this place in society.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
