The fact that so many women have had such similar experiences.... Men are disgusting.

Seriously, it's disgusting how their mind instantly goes there. I've had male "friends" start asking about threesomes just because they found out I was into women. Sorry, me mentioning my LOVE life does not mean you get intimate details of my SEX life. I stayed with my ex after he brought up threesomes and he ended up being toxic in so many ways. It's now going to be an insta-dump for me.

Not to mention, no one is calling those women smart.

TRUTH. Why bother with the man who treats you like shit when you can go on an app and have 10 other guys lined up to take you out?

All they value women for is housework and baby incubating. This one is just upfront and blatant about it.

OP is a guy, not that it makes a huge difference. Still an older person disgustingly taking advantage of a younger one's inexperience. I looked up the post and the update is not very encouraging.

I know exactly what you mean. The fact of using Tinder makes them view you as a human fleshlight. Respect and decency should be a given no matter where you met!

Yep, he's getting off on the toy. And it didn't look like her as an adult woman.. it looked like her at age 6!

It's hard to tell from this amount of info, but be cautious. It could be love bombing.

Seriously! This is unsaveable. It'd be bad enough if he was making an effort to improve, and he's complimenting himself instead. Why are men?

Sleep > everything! It may sound silly but sleep is so important for your health in so many ways, and I give it up for no one and nothing.

Yes, it's gross. People think bisexual means "no standards." It is a porn thing, and it's infuriating. I just swipe left on the threesome seekers and unmatch if a girl says she wants a threesome. I also did meet my GF on Tinder, and she's amazing. :)

Jesus Christ. To think I was optimistic enough to hope the lockdown would lead to greater egalitarianism in household tasks... Nope, this is what men are like.

No woman's body is unique, all react to sex with the same delight. LOL, I love how they call themselves out for having no idea how to actually please a woman.

It blows my mind that anyone would joke about wanting to watch a 14-year-old's rape. Absolutely sickening.

Yep. Men will blame their single mom for all of their issues despite that she was working herself to the bone trying to do the best she could. They'll never think to put any blame on the other person who brought them into existence who never even bothered to be present in their life.

Well said. I turned off my DMs. Any woman can reply to me publicly in a comment, and I don't give a fuck what any male has to say.

Ughhh. I hate when it turns out having a normal intelligent conversation is just the boring part for a guy to suffer through. Unfortunately that's often the case.

Right? Little girls are under so much pressure to conform to what other people want from them. This story really made me smile.

I think the point is that a HVM won't have that whole mentality. High value/low value isn't about his income, it's about him providing value to your life. In my understanding, a HVM would be worth it, but being alone is preferable to being with a LVM.

In my experience, women are more likely than men to be okay with making a platonic friend from a dating app. However, even in the example phrases you posted, it's clear that they do hope to find something more. By going on a dating app, you're signalling that you want something more than a platonic friend. If you really just want to check out the scene, go on with no picture or profile, and don't interact with women. Otherwise, if you're looking for friends, try a different kind of app.

I think the cooking date has been around longer than Netflix & chill. Just depends on your demographic. Any kind of date that involves going to the guy's place or having him at yours is basically the same. He will be hoping for/expecting sex, and you need to stay alert if that's not what you want.

They think that's what they want, but they don't want to see acne scars, under-eye bags, discoloured skin, etc. They also have no respect for the amazing skill it takes to properly apply make-up.

Seriously, every halfway-attractive guy claims he "usually dates models." Who are all these models? Are they talking about any girl with an IG page? I also hate the implication that girls can be pretty or have a good personality but not both. News flash, one has nothing to do with the other.

I don't know if they're weirdos or if the anonymity makes them feel free enough to say the things they wouldn't say in real life. Maybe a bit of both...

Yes. Even with casual sex, most women look for someone they have a connection with and can hold a conversation with. There's a mental and emotional component to it. For men, it's all about their dicks.

Great post. There's a reason professor/student relationships are usually banned. The power difference is bad news. Glad you got out of there and didn't fall for his bullshit when he was begging for you back!

This is truly horrifying. They exist to torment him? This person can't even grasp the idea that these girls have lives, goals, ambitions, interests, hobbies. It's all about sex for him, and since he can't have it, they deserve to die.

This is so completely true. I first broke things off with my ex at 3 months, then took him back and stuck around for a year longer despite knowing he was all wrong for me. The fear of failure and potential for embarrassment was a large part of the reason why. In the future I'll be more careful about introducing partners to family/friends, or even telling them I'm seeing someone.

In my experience, a lot of men claim they want a girl like this - someone who shares their interests, so they can play video games or watch sports together. Realistically, most of them will still be mad if you're more skilled or more knowledgeable than them. But you know the most about your own specific situation. How has dating gone for you so far? Do you get much interest? You don't need to attract every guy as long as you attract the right one.

Ugh, I wish I'd known. My dipshit ex was "into" Derrida & Foucault, but I'm pretty sure he got the ideas from Jordan Peterson and/or Joe Rogan. (Which are two more insta-blocks, btw.)

a single function, which may not even end up serving that function? Seriously. Somehow I have a feeling that if he miraculously got a girl, nothing would change in his life. I've tried to motivate partners who claimed to want to lose weight, and it didn't work whatsoever.

Sadly I believe it's impossible to know if a male is HVM or not without dating them. Men act differently in public than in private, and anything can happen behind closed doors. A man can be amazing to his colleagues and students and still be abusive/pornsick/lazy/entitled/etc.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/03/20 03:04 AM

Truth! I'm so done with trying to change LVM. If they don't meet my standards, they're getting nexted and never thought about again.

100% true and guarding your womb is even more important. You can break off a childless relationship but if you have a baby with that person, they will always be in your life. (And they'll influence the child with their attitudes and ideas.) It's a HUGE decision.

Seriously! Men have zero understanding of our safety concerns. Plus in their imagination we can just walk up to the hottest guy at the bar and get him to take us home for mind-blowing sex. In reality maybe we could get an average guy for some disappointing sex and then be ghosted after. No thanks!

I need to figure out how to actually do this :( it's easier said than done. I keep obsessing over the same stupid shit. I've been trying to get into meditation & mindfulness but it hasn't helped yet.

There's nothing wrong with wanting a relationship. They don't always fall into your lap, sometimes you have to go out and look for one. It sounds like issue is just keeping your expectations realistic, not falling too fast, keeping your emotions out of it... I would try online dating but keep an emotional distance to start off. Don't text them constantly, don't see them too often, and do NOT sleep with them until you've committed. Make sure you keep up with seeing your friends and doing your hob…

Yes, you need to cut this off and raise your standards. Whatever time you waste on him is time you could be with a man who actually appreciates and desires you. His well-being is not your concern. You're right, he's the one who needs to help himself - there's nothing you can do. Doesn't really matter how you cut him off, as long as you do. You have to take care of yourself first.

I'm bi and honestly, one of the hardest parts of dating women is how amazing they all are. I get intimidated! But then I've been told I make them nervous too, so I guess it evens out... If you find yourself thinking about this a lot, maybe there could be some attraction you haven't acknowledged? Could be worth giving it a try!

Try online dating? You'll be flooded with more messages than you can possibly respond to. Other than that, it's hard to guess the reason without knowing you. Maybe ask your friends if they can think of a reason that you seem unapproachable?

I agree with most of this. I've had the most success meeting women on Tinder. It's less hookup-y because it's one of few ways WLW have to connect. There are a lot of women seeking threesomes or FWB, but a lot looking for long-term relationships as well.

Try Tinder or Her and see how it goes. I'm currently dating someone with little dating experience in general and even less with women, and it's going great. I didn't know the extent of her lack of experience at first, but she seemed very confident and she made it clear that she was attracted to women, so it didn't bother me much.

That's bizarre, maybe being an escort was just his sick fantasy. Or if he really was an escort, he was servicing other men.

This was my first thought, too - an IUD insertion can mean excruciating pain for some women. She put herself through that for him and their mutual sex life, and he has the gall to be angry about it? Amazing.

Yes. Yes. Yes. This reminds me of my ex - when he would hear about a new sexual assault case in the news, his first thought was "what if it's a false accusation, how will this affect the man?" No empathy for women whatsoever.

I'm also in a similar situation! I'm currently thinking it might not be so bad to have a female partner and find a sperm donor. Especially if the partner was the one to give birth, because pregnancy is terrifying!

Has he talked to his doctor? Could he be depressed, maybe? Sounds like he's lying about not watching porn, but if he doesn't have much of a chance to watch it, could be a medical issue.

Yup. Settling just leads to resentment. I'll wait for someone I can be truly excited about, who's excited to be with me as well.

Agreed! It's amazing (in a bad way) what we as women will put up with. The amount of posts on /r/relationships talking about men who do far less than the bare minimum is atrocious. In my own life, seems like half the guys I've dated thought brushing their teeth was optional. Not going to put up with it anymore!

Don't forget Beyonce - one of the most beautiful women in the world, with an incredible career and the poise of a goddess. Jay-Z, who is certifiably ugly, somehow got her to marry him. He should've been on his knees thanking God for her every day... and yet he cheated.

I struggle with this because I'm bisexual and I get cravings for the opposite sex from who I'm dating. I feel like my ideal might be to be with a guy who'd let me have a girl on the side, but this does seem rather unfair to him. In my last relationship being monogamous made me so tempted to just cheat, but I wouldn't be able to live with myself. (And I know FDS doesn't condone cheating either.)

I found this sub at exactly the right moment. I used to have trouble with men using me for sex or not wanting to commit. I took a long break from dating that was supposed to clear my head, but it didn't. I settled for the first male who was willing to be in a relationship, and he was 1000% wrong for me. Before we dated I looked at the list of qualities I wanted in a partner. I even showed it to him and we agreed he didn't have any of them. And yet somehow we ended up dating for over a year. I tr…
