This is doubly important for little girls, as socialization while growing up will pressure her to take blame that’s not hers.

Another great thing to tell all children is that they don’t have to hug and kiss people they don’t want. And they don’t have to be friends with kids they don’t like, either.

I love these posts :) With all the hate and harassment FDS gets it’s nice to know there’s some good ones out there. No matter how hard the trolls try to prove otherwise.

Quite frankly, the irony that they’re so anti-FDS when all this sub says is to wait for a good man (ergo, acknowledging that they do in fact exist) is hilarious. Like... are you against this sub because you want to spread the word that all men suck and women should settle? Cool story, dude. Yikes.

I grew up being abused by my father and I’m 37 and still struggle with apologizing for everything. Just the other day I apologized to my fiancé for sneezing and he’s like “honey...you do not need to apologize to me because you sneezed.” Conditioning is hard to break out of. It’s good to see people breaking out of that, especially father/daughter (girls seem so much more likely to be conditioned to take the blame for everything).
