So find a new therapist. They are only hearing one side of the story - yours - so it's strange that they'd attribute so much blame to your partner. Your post is tragic and full of self loathing. I don't think the manosphere is going to do you any favours when you're already so low. Just take care of yourself, learn from this and move on.

Go to therapy asap.

Love this. I agree. I was just reflecting on how a lot of 'red pilled men' are just low value manipulators with expectations from women, that don't align with the value they (the men) would bring. And how most actual HVM aren't 'red pilled'. I think the manosphere attracts damaged men who need to use strategy to attract and keep women.

Why do you care exactly? If it's porn it's not like he's about to run off with some pornstar. If he's on online dating, that's a problem.

If he doesn't ask he doesn't care. So I'd wait to be asked. You could ask him about his to open up the line of conversation.

The sign I needed to delete reddit. It is time.

It means feeling content in being single so that you don't just jump into the first relationship that crosses your path. Being content in being single means you can feel empowered to say no or leave a situation that isn't beneficial to you and be assured that you'll still be happy. Jumping from relationship to relationship is not the healthiest thing to do, but so many people do it because they are terrified of the thought of being alone for a while. Those people don't seem to grow as much as in…

Can you do the same breakdown but for situations where younger men end up with older women?

When you're ready to let them know, you'll feel it.

Exactly this. And who knows how you'll feel when he's 66? He doesn't seem to be too worried about that.

Ah, we come from different worlds, it seems. Apologies.

Sounds like you should start saying no more even if it makes you nervous. Nothing like a bit of good old-fashioned exposure therapy.

I would replace musical skills with financial skills. No one cares about musical skills in 2022. Unless you're doing it for your own pleasure only.

I am keen to hear advice on this matter too! I also read that book, and the takeaway for me was - if you don't like the way he acts you withdraw attention. You don't ask him to change; you don't negotiate. But that's counter to RPW I believe, so keenly watching the comments!

I would outsource housework in this instance. Get a cleaner who comes in once or twice a week. Maybe buy meals kits to make cooking easier if you want to. In terms of his other behaviours, it doesn't sound like he's in love with you. Regarding your biological clock - have you had an egg count? Ask your GP for one. It is a simple blood test and you might be pleasantly surprised. Many women have babies well into their late 30s without any trouble. Also did you know that if a man is over 40, the ch…

So that women don't steal the sperm and impregnate themselves with it. He loves spreading paranoia about women's alleged hidden agendas. What adds to the idiocy is that flushing condoms causes blocked pipes and is bad for the environment.

Cut out all sugar, limit carbs to only complex carbs before 6pm, intermittent fasting. Only drink water, unsweetened tea and coffee. Go for walks and jogs.

Thanks! I appreciate the detailed advice and breakdown and like the positive outlook of not loosing him, but rather gaining my freedom. I don’t buy the ‘difference in financial goals’ thing either. I think there must have been something more.

This is this first time it’s happened to me. I think it’s more the challenge of an unavailable guy that got me going, but I’m sort of tired of it.

He is late 30s and his longest relationship was 10 years. It failed due to differences in financial management styles and long term material goals. (That’s the offical story anyway)

Thank you again for your detailed reply! I hope you’re Christmas Eve celebrations went well! While I am very very attracted to him, upon evaluating the facts, I think I might let him go as a potential ltr candidate. I think his pitting of me against the other woman, is not just a red flag, but a pretty clear sign of where he is at and his feelings towards me.

Wow so insightful re that it was a possible test. I had those exact same thoughts… What do you think would have been a more appropriate response, in order to unlock his protection instinct? I should also note that while I did ‘lose it’, I did end up explaining my position through text at length but in a cool logical way once I calmed down. And I did tell him that I wasn’t into the idea of jealousy, that I did not want him to play the jealousy game with me. That he was essentially playing with fi…

Wow - firstly, thank you for such a helpful and detailed post! I really appreciate it. I believe I am hovering somewhere between two and three, because: - He did take me out on romantic dates when we started seeing each other. - We engage through text generally about life. - Every time we hang out, we spend quality time together however we always have sex too. - He’s been known to cook for me at his house, ‘take care’ care of me in general when I am there. - He’s never a selfish lover - He has r…
