I tried flirting with men who were 10 years older than me just out of curiosity and during a phase where I was so frustrated with men in general... I ended up finding one man who looked SO great on paper. Like, a perfect match for me, but 12 years older. I actually thought I'll try to get over the physical difference and give him a chance. (Never think that, btw...) But after we talked for a bit, it was absolutely clear to me that this would never happen. The difference is too much. Mentally, ju…

Brich …

I have one, I believe. Spoke to him about my best girl friend and he was a little curious about her opinion on him. I proposed to show him the chat, just one bit of the conversation, but he declined and said (roughly translated) "don't show me. Women need to speak to each other unsupervised. Just tell me in a few words" and I liked that a lot.

I don't think he writes often at all. The way I understand it he's just been doing it for a long time whenever he finds a little spare time to "indulge" in his hobby.

I think I found one back in October but ghosted him for a dude with whom in hindsight i only trauma bonded with. At least I can learn from my own stupidity.

Lived with a single dad gamer and his toddler. He lured me in by playing the perfect father for a few months and when I wanted to move, I suddenly couldn't move into the space I had planned to. So he offered I could live with him and since I had no place to stay and he was such a great guy and father (oh lord this hurts to share) I moved in with him. Soon after that he turned on me and showed his real face. He neglected his child, didn't feed her until 12 or change her diapers. After coming from…

(Not a native speaker!) Would you consider a man who is at most 1inch shorter than you? I'm asking because I've met someone for who this is the case. Mind you, I'm tall af. Also I'm curvy and he's slim but muscular and works out several times a week, so I just feel so much bigger than him. Do you have any advice on why it makes me feel insecure or how I could improve my view? When I tell him about my insecurities, he's very loving and affirms me that I shouldn't think that. I might add that I ha…

Had a similar thing happen to me. Met a guy via OLD and the chemistry was perfect. Dated for a while, ignored a few red flags because we got along so well, big mistake. Had great Sex and I mean 11/10 but at one point I had to snoop. Found out he was in a long term relationship. Told him I was sorry and then send her everything I had, a million Screenshots, told her every detail about him in bed because she didn't believe me. She still didn't believe me after that tho. So I lured him into my car …

I do this with my creepy old neighbour. When I first moved here, he would try to talk to me as soon as he saw me outside and it made me hella uncomfortable. So at one point I decided I would never speak to him again. Since that day he still stops several times to look over when he sees me, but I just treat him like air.

I STILL have this initial "oh he's a keeper" reaction when I read something like that and it proves how deeply rooted this issue is. The bar for men really is on the ground. It helps me to imagine myself in that situation and I would never force my partner to continue when they're uncomfortable. It's really not difficult to not be a rapist.

This reminds me of the story my older sister told me about our aunt. When my sister was 15, my aunt took her on a vacation to Italy and they were camping near the ocean. There were two men in their late 20s and apparently my aunt had an eye on one of them and made him stay in their tent so my aunt could get laid. She left my teenage sister with the newly 30 year old stranger and told her she would be sleeping in his tent for the night. My sister told me the guy wanted to have sex with her but sh…

I bought a beautiful used aquarium in perfect shape for a great price from my student money and was so happy about it. But I wasn't able to transfer my fish into it at that time. The only place we had where I could temporarily store it was in my now ex boyfriends work room, in which he smoked all the time. He promised me to smoke outside until the empty aquarium was moved and then I caught him smoking in the room. Like, the balcony was 3 feet from his desk. How little can you do for your partner…

Reminds me of that one boyfriend I had in high school. Weeks ahead he told me he was busy that day (it was during the week) which made me sad, but he promised to celebrate on another day when we both had time. So valentines day comes and I get home from school to find a trail of candles and rose petals up the stairs that lead to my room and into my room, round in a circle to a love letter and my favourite treats and once I had read it, my boyfriend stepped out of my closet, a stuffed animal in h…

I thought I'd start the day off with cake for breakfast and my favourite tea. I'll be spending the day don't things I enjoy and in the evening I'll take a nice rose petal bath before dinner. For dinner I'll prepare myself a nice serving of entrecôte with perhaps roasted fennel and red wine or sparkling wine and watch my favourite TV shows. It's the simple things for me.

I can't download the video and can only share the link. Rough translation of what is being said: Him: many of you are disturbed by the fact that I'm in a relationship with my adopted daughter but how could I have known 17 years ago in the orphanage that she would turn into such a bombshell? Which one of you would have said no?! Her: daddy held himself nicely (like, he looks good) I'd say. Him: haters gonna hate. Firstly, I really, really for the love of God hope that this was meant as a joke and…

I have to admit that I actually did that in the past, but my reasoning back then was that that person invited me, provided a nice party and so I would load the dishwasher for them and carry cutlery and plates to the kitchen. That's not your role as a guest at all, so I concluded that it was only sugar coated pickme behaviour. Not doing that at all anymore.

I'm on this one Chat app and it saves any conversation you've had with somebody except when you delete that chat entirely. I can't count the number of times a man has sent me a long very detailed message and then send me the exact same one 8 months later. Literally zero effort.

Some "friends" actually just recently told me that I apparently didn't have a sense of humour. The situation was, that we went for a walk in the forest with my dog and at no distance at all they started making "jokes" about how long my usual walks were and that nobody did that, except me. So at some point one asked me, if I was annoyed by him and I straight up said "no, I'm offended" and then decided for myself that I wouldn't take them with me on walks anymore. May I add that both of them asked…

I joined a few low libido/ dead bedroom subreddits in January because I thought I suffered from it because I was somehow broken and my then bf just had a very high libido and that's why every argument ended in him asking for sex to solve our problems. He was narcissistic and gaslighted me to the point I believed what I just wrote. At one point I finally managed to break up, but was still struggling with what I believed. And then reddit just recommended me the fds subreddit. I looked at it, thoug…

Thank you for your kind words. I've actually been in therapy for the past two years for other reasons but I'll have to talk about this issue eventually. It's just that it's a really uncomfortable topic to talk about. At least for me. But I'm working on it, one step at a time.

My narcissist ex tried to separate me from my female best friend who suddenly acted off. Turns out he tried to intimidate her when she was mindlessly drunk to make out with her when nobody was with them at her birthday party. I and her boyfriend at that time were present, her brother as well. When I confronted him, he acted like nothing ever happened and wouldn't even apologise to her or me What a piece of trash. She's still my friend.

I don't get why men make these awful comments about marriage and call them "jokes". My uncle is married and posted an image with a quote in the group chat of his daughter who was about to marry her fiance. The image read: Son: "daddy, why are all the cars over there blowing their horns?" Dad: "because people are getting married there." Son: "but isn't blowing a horn actually a warning?" Dad: "exactly, my boy, exactly." And I was just shocked. My cousins closest friends had made that group chat t…

I'm in my late 20s and had around 25 men. It's been five minutes since I read your question and I can't recall anyone special. Most of my life I just straight up believed my body was broken because I would never orgasm during penetrative sex. Turns out men just suck.

This is what my therapist taught me to think of my mother. "I don't need her anymore, I can just hang up or leave if she makes me feel uncomfortable." It was life changing and works for all people.

Firstly, if you casually ask them for a check up and they react defensive or repelled, you've already got your answer. Secondly, protect yourself with a condom. I actually had this experience with one ex. However, at that time I was battling heavily with pickme behaviour so I didn't piece it together until it was too late and I had already been gaslighted to the moon and back. When I told him to use a condom, he did the first time, but then the second time he tried to put it in without protectio…
