someone did a post that he had just run DNA tests and discovered his ex's kid wasn't his - and he had been the assumed father. I said that he needed to take it seriously and act on it immediatly because DNA might not help him. I then said 'This is why we need Mens Rights.'. at the bottom. I got a piece of hate mail from the mods threatening me for bringing Mens Rights up. I also got a nasty reply telling me this wasn't a mens rights issue. I replied to that... yes it is, it doesn't affect women …

For what? He said he was breaching a court order. I am just saying that recording it is stupid because you are creating evidence that can be used against yourself.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 10:50 PM

Definetly don't do that. Look, if a hug is a breach - then it is a breach. And you just recorded you doing it. I hate this shit. I just got kicked out of /r/legaladvice earlier today for simply pointing out something was a Mens Rights issue. I said, 'This is why we need Mens Rights.'. I got threatened by a mod and kicked off.

Yes. Audio only. Video without audio is fine. It is a state law, look up recording in your state. 1 party states you are good - do what you want. 2 party states both parties must be aware of the recording. In other words..... You take your smartphone and turn on the voice recorder, put it in your pocket and go into a meeting where your boss treats you like shit... not only can't you do anything with it - but you are committing a crime by doing it.

Good for him. I just notice that a lot of these good news posts are for the UK, Australia or Canada. Don't get me wrong. There citizens should be proud. Unquestionably. And it does make me feel good. I just see a hole lot less of it for the US. I feel like those countries are more organized then we are. And as a result are actually making progress.

Key word is 'avoid'.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 03:03 PM

Careful with that. Audio recording is not legal in all states. 2 party state - you can't do it. Not with audio anyways. 1 party state - go to town.

Thank you for doing the right thing. I think all you can really do from here is continue to do the right thing. When you get an opportunity tell him straight up what you saw. Everytime someone tells it the wrong way - correct them.

Sooo.... everyone in the military is bad?
/r/MensRights13/11/17 10:11 PM

In a weird, unintentional, fucked up way it would kind of be a win-win. Cause you are absolutely correct. Enough people show up and claim to be gay it would be a problem. Up until that point, it would be a win for the draft dodgers. But the military might have had there hand forced into accepting gay people into its ranks - and ultimately that would have been a win for gay rights.

The ONLY job of our nation's military - an all volunteer military - is to defend our nation and our nation's interests. Our military is plenty big. There are shit tons of jobs that can be done in addition to going door to door with a rifle in your hand. Some people desire that, good for them. But, if you desire to do something like... networking and you are fresh out of high school you can join the armed services, learn networking and come out of it in 4 or 6 years with some terriffic, impressiv…

I don't think you are quite following. I am not saying you couldn't force 50/50 everywhere. I am saying that politically, having women come home in body bags won't be acceptable. This isn't about could or should. You and I would agree with that. This is about what would actually happen. Because of politics. Social norms.

Here is my specific fear: Right now, today, I argue that going into the military can be a terrific, fulfilling, valuable decision to a graduate that has a fucking clue what they want to do. That last bit about the clue, that is the important bit. So, you are in the Army doing IT support or some shit. You are safe. You are safe not because you are some sort of coward, but because you are smart. You joined so you could get a position that you could construct a career from. And you are a guy. War s…

Wasn't too long ago that simply yelling 'Sir! I love the Cock! Sir!' would have gotten you out of the draft. I will never understand people. I have heard all these stories of the lengthes people went to to avoid the draft for Nam. I have always wondered, 'if gays aren't allowed in the military, then why not just come out of the closet? wouldn't it be easier?'

Many years ago, when I was single, when I rented, when I made less money - I did my taxes over the phone. (pre-internet you could dial in and punch in your info). Some time goes by. I get a letter from the IRS. More or less the letter said, 'We caught a mistake in your taxes. On line XX you put in YY and it should have been BB. As a result we have sent you a check for money owed.'. I put the letter down and thought about this. They got the information from what I entered. But they knew I entered…

It is an antiquated system that simply needs to go away. It just does. I kind of think that making a tremendous push to force women to register just might do the trick. Could also backfire. If the draft was really reinstated having them do a 50/50 split of male/female would horrifically backfire on men. Women would have safe jobs - men would be pushed out of careers to dangerous jobs. It would be awful.

Sometimes... like college.... you have to do what you got to do to get by. I admire your girlfriend for standing up to her beliefs, but she is against a brick wall here. I mean, the realty is simple: She can profess her belief and get low grades. She can lie and say what she is expected to say, put in a low amount of effort and be done with the class. There is no option where she wins the teacher over, or the teacher is honest and gives her the grad she deserves. This is a 'pick your battles' mo…

There was a thread some weeks ago where some moron declared that 'we all need to learn to stop hating each other.'. I posted the following reply: 'I voted for Trump. I support Men's rights. You first.'. (yes it was bait) I got this reply back explaining how it was extremely unlikely that I wasn't a bigot and I am exactly the sort of person it is all right to hate.

The original Kevin Space allegation was from a party that was 21 years ago. Kevin Responded, 'I was drunk. I don't know what I said or did.'. And that pretty much sums up all of my memories from parties 21 years ago as well. I mean, there comes a point where you have to say to these people, 'you are being unreasonable. Come back when you have evidence. Any evidence.'. And then there is crap that is just flirting. HOLY SHIT HE PUT HIS HAND ON HER THIGH!!!!! Ummm...... yeah.

This is such a fucked up subject. When talking about the prostitutes: 'A woman should be able to do what she wants with her body. It being illegal is causing huge problems. We need to legalize it and they can form unions and have doctors and blahblahblah.'. Gotcha. It actually IS a reasonable argument that I am not really opposed to. Look. Have you ever had anyone advise you to 'pick your battles'? It is an excellent piece of advice that EVERYONE should use. As an example. You hate America. We get it. But this article.... this is a battle where you can not win. It takes a special sort of asshole to read that article and not think highly of those guards. To read that, and then to see a comment like yours - you stand no chance to get any message across to anyone EXCEPT that you are a special kind of asshole.

I got to read up on this, but her perspective doesn't really add up to me. So he basicaly rapes her in the shower. Gotcha. But then - according to what the chick is telling us - she spent a few years then befriending the guy and using him for contacts and generally supporting her career. But now, because this MeToo thing is cool she has tossed the guy under the buss and destroyed his business. Is this the normal reaction to rape?

I am convinced this repeal is gonna bite us in the ass. As I understand it.... the new letter says that the schools cannot refer these things to the police. My opinion is that the police is the correct place for these problems. A big part of the problem we have with the old letter is it encourages schools to get involved in trying kids for things that are far too serious for people to pretend they are lawyers and judges doing what they wish lawyers and judges did.

I have been saying something similar for years... Here is the problem. We can't 'win' the equal pay argument. Imagine for a moment that you have aquired the holy grail of the equal pay arguement. You have some factoid that is so cold and calculated and real as to be undeniable by even the most lesbian-man-hating-feminist. No they are not. They are indicating the attitude of the person. In the first sentence the person would if he/she/it could (but cannot). In the second sentence I am pointing out that the attitude is not really important - because the person still cannot. If my ex-wife could only say ..... When you say 'could only' it indicates that you do not have the power to do something. Sometimes it indicates the person 'would if he could' but it doesn't necessarily mean that. It does mean that the person CANNOT chose to do what follows.

Read through the thread. I have had a ton of replies explaining his football career. He is a spokesperson as well. True. But it gets me angry at exactly how fucked this guy is and the best we (as a society) can do for him is pat him on the back and say, 'good fight man!'. His life is fucked and it should not be fucked. There is ignorance then there is 'impossible to know'. As an extreme example. A person works at a car recycling facility. He spends all day loading cars into a crusher and crushing them. Bottom line: It is in the best interest of both parties to take whatever birth control measures are available for themselves. Trusting your partner is the 2nd line of defense. This is not a gendered argument.

Just record absolutely everything you are doing so that if (haha, when...) things do go to shit you can put it all together as a Youtube documentry on what you were trying to do, how you tried to pull it off - and how all the usual people acted in all the usual ways to stop you.

There is a technical/doctor/hospital term for miscarraige that to my ears sounds like an abortion. Factually, I know that isn't what they are saying at all. I saw a shrink for the better part of a decade for my depression. The nice thing about shrinks is you can walk in and really unload and have no fear of repercussions for having done so. I mean, every person you know, no matter how much you trust them you are always going to be filtering what you say to them. But a shrink? You can bitch about your Mom, bitch about your SO, bitch about your instructors. It's great. I used to sit across from him and we would be chatting. I would be talking about so…

I see several seperate things here that you are confusing as a single, distinct thing. First off, those depression chat rooms. ~sigh~ Do you know what you get when you place a bunch of depressed people together in a room? A depressed room. Those chat rooms, or zones, or subreddits - they mean well, but they lack someone that is not depressed to facilitate discussions into healthy ways. Those rooms are just big echo chambers for everyone's problems. As someone that has suffered, I learned to stay…

It is a fine line, you are correct. I do not want conversations to be stifled. You can broaden my mind, I can broaden yours. The feminist subs have really dropped the ball with this. When these conversations happen I want to point out to the feminist that the reverse is simply not permitted - that if she wants these conversation to happen she needs to come here, because her overloards will not allow me to come to her. Kind of makes sense. I mean... college education = higher pay... more women in college then men.... I said a few days ago that if the feminists ever dropped this topic they would move onto an even uglier one - reperations for all the years they believe they earned less. In the US a lot of people believe that a man alone with a kid is the definition of a sex predator. The schools sometimes seem to be run by people that believe this. It has gotten to the point where male teachers can not be in a room alone with a student - ever. They always have to have a chaperone. Schools tend to fire the teachers before doing any research into accusations. It is a pretty ugly environment.

I may be having some trouble expressing what is in my head with Reddit. I apologize. For women sex toys = empowerment. Society does not permit men to have sex toys. At all. No one. Not feminists, not anyone. Why? I am not sure. But then I began to think along the lines of people that are likely to rape. My experience with hormones... most of our experience with hormones... to put it simply... once the deed is done we are kind of over it. If you can demonstrate that 'would be rapists' are regulating there hormones in 'healthier' ways... it would destroy the rape is power theory if rapes stopped happening. I kind of agree with this. You know what I think the true problem is? Your gonna love this. Check this out. I think that if these dolls became popular and rape's stopped happening then feminists could not deal with that. Remember - rape is about power over women not sex. These have nothing to do with power in relationships or society or what not. They are purely sex and hormones. This would prove feminists wrong. Feminists are not willing to take that risk. You want to block puberty? That is terrible thing to do to a kid. The problem - and it doesn't fit with your values - is that a child is not capable of making these decisions - but is enormously open to influence by parents, teachers, peers who have a political/sexist axe to grind. It just can't be done. It just can't. I am sorry your life sucks, but lots of people's lives suck and they don't kill themselves. Deal with it.

You haven't landed many planes, have you? Flying a plane is as much about preparing for the worst as it is everything else. When your cars engine stops you pull off to the side of the road... or you just sit there and let traffic get around you. A planes engine stopping is every bit as possible, what to do when it does is something pilots train for. That alone is worth an age limit.

Before puberty a person doesn't have the ability to know if this is a good idea or not. There 'desire' is as likely to bee peer pressure from a parent that wishes the kid was a different sex as it is from anything else. I don't care about 'easy'. Like I said, your life sucks - you will get over it. A lot of people have lives that suck. If this is the correct decision it will be as correct at 21 as it is at 12. I see women in my barber shop all the time. They bring there kids in. I can't remember ever seeing a boyfriend/girlfriend or a husband/wife though. It is always a Mom and her son. I have zero issues with it. I welcome them. My attraction to my barbershop is less the 'male only' space and more so that they don't take appointments. You kind of shove your head in the door and if the wait isn't too bad you sit down and if the wait is bad you come back another day. I LOVE that. I have never heard a p…

Before going to the police go to a counselor for 6 months or so. I really think going to the police is going to end badly for you. However, you are clearly suffering. You deserve relief. (A) I think itis highly likely the police aren't going to pay any attention to it whatosever. If that is stressful and enrages you - you might not want to go here. You are making an assumption. I never see the OP say those words. He uses the word flat, I looked up the definition and it is defined merely as 'apartment'. When I say, 'I learned something in college' what I actually mean is, 'I am not sure if this is a dream, hallucination or something I actually learned.'. Having said that. I do remember being taught about writing professionaly and pronouns. You alternate your use of them. First He, then She, then back to He, etc. It is how you remain impartial. Always felt like good advice to me. But then again... .maybe it was all a hallu…

I think this might be the thread where I am getting yelled at by feminists. Someone asked how something got to be this way. I replied: 'Feminism. This is why we need Mens Rights'. This was at 6:30 AM in the morning EASTERN time. I thought, 'Will check back later for hate mail, no one is reading now.'. I was wrong. Withing just a couple of minutes the post was at a -6, then it dropped completly under the limit. So I edited the post, I said, 'Wow, it sure is easy to downvote. You people don't have…

Not legal. I was told a story about her, before I came onboard. She started leaving her cell phone on her desk when she needed to leave the room. There are so many problems with that. For one, we are a 2 party state - so legally it doesn't fly. For another, our handbook has it as an official no-no. I have my theories as to how she sticks around. She fucks up everything she touches. She creates problems for us and for outside teams. I make a LOT less then she does. I am sick of it. I would like m…

The one I work with has a history of going to HR at the drop of a hat. I have made it my personal policy to avoid being in rooms alone with her. The one I work with is dangerous.

I believe in calling things what they are. I believe in equality. I believe in equal responsibility. No one gets a pass because of his/her sex. There was this chick who wrote a book and had an article on Slate last week. To be perfectly fair, I didn't finish the article. I didn't have the stomach for it. Get this. This chick was from some damned Asian country. She grew up living in her parents house, her parents had a 'housekeeper'. The parents, chick and housekeeper moved to the US. At some poi…

I corrected the security thing later. When I originally wrote that, I wrote what I believed. But later on I learned what really happened. Security was a joke. No planning was really necessary. Anyone that has ever been to a concert and left with the bulk of the crowd can see how easy this was for them to do. There were no barriers.

Hate is the best word. Saying 'socially stuck in the pre-industrial world' gives them an out. They don't deserve an out.

I don't think you are gonna be sucesful. The cops are kind of along for the ride on this one. A civilian (or a group of) get the cops involved. At that point the cops have decisions to make, sometimes they are good decisions, sometimes terrible ones, but it is the civilians that start up the trouble.

Sometimes gangs have younger kids do things for the same reason.

Nahhh. Ultimatley, this concert was chosen because it offered the most bang for the buck. It was chosen because someone did homework on security and figured out how to maximize his/her chances of at this event as opposed to other events. Now, having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if they specificaly chose an event that young people where at. I mean, hit us where it hurts - hurt our kids. Of course, thinking about it, these people do hate women. I mean, this is the same group of people that d…
