Ignorance is bliss. Enlightenment is difficult. There are many, many harsh realities of life which are difficult to bear. The fact that they are true, as are many harsh, empirically (statistically) documented realities does not mean that we need to constantly dwell on them. Likewise, putting them aside for a part of one's life and ignoring them in order to have light-hearted times does not mean that they are any less true. It's a balance to strike, just like work-life balance: you have to ignore…

It's true, I've seen guys that 'succeed' with women after putting in something like, idk, 6 months of effort for like one or two nights of sex. Is that worth it?

Yeah no that's the big problem. With covid it's basically OLD or nothing. and OLD is baaaad. Like bad. More than just sex stuff, it makes me afraid for how the genders will relate to eachother in general (platonically). Loss of trust and etc.

It's mainly the negative consequences that are scary. Like, you hear all of these stories about dudes and fake accusations and all on campus. And then you think of how hard you've worked for your schooling and etc and the consequences if stuff goes south. Same for work. You gonna risk it when you need this internship on your resume to get ahead in life? Think not. You can do it in bars if you're a bar person I guess but good luck with all of these lockdowns and etc.

I would disagree with this. I know many millionaires who work very stressful jobs (corporate finance, law etc) who have those millions and don't really enjoy themselves because they're always working and when they're not working, they're drinking or something to drown the pain of doing something they don't like. i also know very humble people who are perfectly happy with middle-class earnings because they love their family and their jobs and etc. It's more about accepting who you are and realizi…

my criteria: -far-right levels of conservative all the while being worldly, cultured -preferably speaks both french and english -bachelors level or above education and only number-based majors count. None of those fake blah-blah armchair intellectual diplomas -likes conspiracy theories, alex jones, and other wacky stuff -Very specific list of kinks to be disclosed in private -Must not be aware that female orgasms exist

I've coincidentally been acquainted with dudes like this through team sports and they're often pretty passive men. Like, almost feminine. Usually they really give the vibes of being dominated dudes (out of shape too) and most have mentioned that their wives have the high-earning jobs. I'd be willing to bet that it has its uses while the kid is young. If the wife is working it's cuz she's making good money, which usually means a serious office job. Hence she won't really have the time to mess aro…

Moving abroad seems cool until you do it. And being 'foreign' won't automatically make you a sexy chick-magnet. Try actually moving abroad and settling somewhere, especially somewhere in a less-developped country as you seem to be fantasizing about. You're also assuming poor countries are cheaper. You're often wrong. If you do your research, a ton of 'poor' countries are actually more expensive for the same goods and life and etc than the USA. import taxes, cost of needing private everything, et…

That's okay because 90% of democrats are agents of the fallen one aka the devil aka SATAN and hence all these democrat 'women', many of whom are maybe not 'women' at all, can go and date within their democrat cesspool, while god-loving republicans such as I will happily wait longer for a pure republican woman, preferably one who also watches Alex Jones and voted Trump.

Probably medium-sized, but that goes with anything in terms of quality of life. I worked in a very small town this summer (800 year round inhabitants, saguenay region of Canada) and I can tell you that dating in a small town isn't as easy as just pulling up and getting married to a virgin country girl (or guy). First of all, there's a huge lack of choice (and lack of date stuff to do as well) so basically you either meet someone you match with or stay alone. Or deal with a semi-match. But genera…

Your understanding of business and economics seems very 101-esque. Businesses with high expenses can definitely survive and even thrive, suffice that their clientele consents to pay the costs. Can definitely end up working for quality-driven business models. Not every industry is a race to the bottom. The same for gender roles and family or whatever. People earn money to spend it. And if they value the expensive family more than stuff they could buy with their savings from avoiding it, they'll p…

Like idk. Some were far left lgbtq types so like obviously spewing some far left propaganda that didn't even make sense. Others were more moderate but could never make their minds up about if they were serious or not. And then there were the insecurities, they'd usually admit in private that they sucked at some parts of life and were insecure. Lots of ghosting too. Then there were the ones who had obviously spend time on dating apps and stuff cuz they'd give me this like dead stare during sex, a…

Used to give them a chance. All of them were weird in some way. I don't have any moral problems with it, I'm 0 percent religious and believe in free choice. But experience has taught me that they aren't worth my time. Is it a stereotype? Sure, but so are all 'red flags' that girls talk about all the time. If you're allowed to filter out people for some weird dogmatic beliefs you have about 'red flag' indicators, so can I.

Echo Chambers. Every faculty is an echo chamber and the lack of diversity in types of thought and life experience gets to people. Despite having international students and all, student environments tend to homogenize into similar vibes because academic white collar types from different countries are more similar to each other than they are to their domestic blue collar counterparts. Student associations are more of the same campus-style mentality. Also end up being toxic social games half of the…

Look at my comment on this thread but the long story short is that doing only one type of challenge is not sufficient and that diversity in types of challenges and social environments makes truly amazing people. I know very well what Academic techy challenges are, I have a bachelor's in Finance and know (to varying extents) 3 programming languages. But the people who have only done stuff like that versus the people who've done that stuff and dirty grunt work, there's no comparison in my mind. Al…

Indeed it would help white collar techie people because it would make them more well rounded and give them perspective outside of the tech world's little echo chamber. And the same goes for any other industry or niche. They're basically all echo chambers.

Definitely agree with OP here. Being miserable in the right contexts is good. It forces you to be strong and versatile. It forces you to find yourself. Moving to new cities is miserable at times. Staying in the same place forever is comforting. Trying different academic programs (which you might fail) can be miserable. Someone who has never been miserable in the question of higher achievement is sometime destined to a mediocre, shallow, and ultimately more miserable life than someone who does di…

I most definitely agree. I personally did many similar activities as a youth and it helped me so much. Every single person, man and woman, that came out of there was a better, more-rounded person. It will help them be better people overall, and the sexuality stuff will be a byproduct of a much healthier generation IMO. I notice a lot of people saying stuff like 'some people aren't made for strict military stuff', and while I agree that only a minority should spend their life in such roles, I wou…

Absolutely agree. The amount of bullying and horrible stuff done to me while dating around. And yet my sisters have a huge mental breakdown when they deal with the same stuff I deal with once in a blue moon. No pity for me though. Same for body types. I've been called all sorts of terrible things for putting on an extra 10 pounds around the waist. Girls get praised for being 'thick'.

Education. I cannot stand people of any gender who cannot understand academic-level stuff (undergrad level). Also some mathematical ability. People who can't count anything and can't put like a few numbers into excel to make a budget are pretty much apes in my book.

the problem is how these so-called reasonable desires turn into practice. Every theory is made to look good on paper. What is 'financially stable'? I've seen women say that a man needs to be above 120k a year to meet this criteria. What is 'in touch with their feelings'? One man could say like, if it makes me mad i say it and then bam done. The woman in question could mean a man that automatically makes a poetic display of emotion with absolute perfect timing and delivery and no frustration what…

I think it is true because as i posted in that post you're referring to, there are so many women being overly sexual or idk flirty with male female friendships (and men are too, but it's already assumed of them) that the likelihood of having a 100 percent platonic-capable man and a woman simultaneously meet and be friends is very low. Most of my guy friends who've had female friends have hooked up with them. I've hooked up with most of my female friends or have had them make it flirty in some wa…

People also have less energy and time. Young and in your 20s, you have plenty of energy to chase random women. But then suddenly you have kids or etc and are just more tired. I don't see my parents doing much chasing after work, they can barely focus on their personal life as is after their long weeks of work (big office jobs). It's the combination of disinterest and lack of time that gets you for real.

I have tried this before and it's bitten me in the rear end. Being used and basically wanting it to be platonic while she only wants to make me her simp and etc and saying manipulative stuff just to spite me. It's not all men's fault, there's some serious bad vibes to wanting to stay normal and platonic with someone and having your buttons pushed for fun. I'm willing to bet that this has happened to a lot of dudes and they're now saying 'never again'.

This is a really good comment and one that so many people need to hear. You have so many dudes being like 'ohh some day it'll work out' and they ignore the fact that tons of marriages are either cucked or just sexless and that the 'one day a girl will find me' thing is kind of a fake promise. Between all the time of eventually finding the 'one' and then oh actually the one just divorced you or doesn't want any sex in the marriage. And trust me, I've seen what the girls who go for the 'bottom 50 …

Because people naturally whine about both sides of the equation because they want to attack men. When you hate someone, there's no logic necessary for why they're bad in a given time. They can be bad for doing both A and B and everything in between. It's not about getting what you want but rather about hating. Think of someone talking about their horrible ex. The ex could do anything possible and still be insulted for it.

off topic slightly but I used to be really tolerant with bisexual girls and stuff and not judge them for it. For some reason I tended to attract them more than other people and I had numerous experiences with them. The vast majority of them ended up being all crazy and unstable and so now I filter them out. Bigoted maybe but life experience tends to shape you. Stereotypes don't come from nowhere. The same for people I know in my family: the super liberal more 'open' to lgbt stuff side are mostly…

The problem with this whole 'top x percent' thing is that if the whole group gets more competitive the problem stays the same. It's a relative standing, not an absolute one. Being relative it therefore means that no matter what happens, there is a majority of people who don't find a match. That's a pretty unhealthy long-term situation if you ask me.

yes and it's not even worth it because the vast majority of the time when you 'score' the girls are pretty lackluster. That's the ultimate black pill. You start to learn the tricks of the trade (as sad as those may be) and you realize that these are like barely passable girls with huge issues and etc who won't even be loyal or anything.

To be fair, I can see how it's difficult to settle down before 30. So many people with weird career paths that take a while to really provide a stable decent livelihood. For example, I wanna be an aircraft pilot. As much as I'm pro family and pro stability and all that, I know that I'm not gonna be making decent money or really have any kind of job security until I'm like at least 30, probably older. Pilots are treated as disposable items until they find some kind of unionized airline job, and e…

It's simple. Keep all your cash in crypto, offshore accounts or other money laundering schemes. Like idk maybe a business where you can hide income or something by using bogus depreciation claims and undistributed earnings or something like that. Then when you divorce she pays you because you're poor on paper.

Because true choice depends on a ton of factors. For example, in economics, free-market esque choice means alternatives and good information. A contract signed under duress is not valid because it is not a real choice. For the feminists, if their propaganda advocates all sorts of stuff that limits their choices through social pressures and bias pushes and all kinds of moderate-strength ideological internally absorbed messaging, it definitely reduces choice.

It can be difficult due to tastes and all. Nothing against blue-collar people, I've worked lots of dirty, greasy physical jobs (industrial maritime and salvage) during my summers. But I doubt anyone in those jobs will be interested reading The Economist and The Atlantic and stuff like that with me. Not to mention LTRs mean financial planning. I'm a finance major, and there's no way I'm sharing my finances with anyone who doesn't have a bachelor's degree or some ability in math, stats and excel. …

I've lived in both continents and you're neglecting that it's by necessity. Work hours are so much longer in North America that you legit can't have both parents working. Especially if the man is in a big prestigious job, the big salary comes with the understanding that they've bought all of you, the vast majority of your time, and hence you better be ready to dedicate yourself when they call you. Hence, a wife who does all the work and raising the kids.

I think it all boils down to the difference between what people do and what people say. I know tons of liberal urban trendy type women who mascot and virtue signal all these feminist ideals. When it comes to their marriages, it's all redpill and money type stuff. To be fair, most centrist voter type people think the far-left is 100 percent insane and obnoxious but will never say it either. It's one of those things where you want to fit in with the rhetoric despite knowing it's wrong
