Where’s the factual part of the comment? Looks like he was just assuming to me

Is it? You must be a woman masquerading as a man in here for you to not get it lol 🤡

I’m upset about her introducing him to our kid.

We’ve been separated for over a year. Unlike a lot of the men in here I’m not gonna sit around and beg for a woman to be with me after she wants to separate. So yes, I’ve been seeing women.

She wants dick while living in a cheap living situation. Simple as that. You will be paying a load in child support/alimony so it’s a lose lose. Good luck man

I feel this same way. I also feel this in the corporate world. It seems like everyone has a ring on their finger and constantly talks about their significant other and I very rarely see anyone actually going through a divorce. I’m also 33 and maybe just haven’t lived enough life to see it but 50% seems high.

For real! I will swipe left on any off putting bios that come with a list of demands or “prove to me why you deserve me” energy

A friend of yours!? Wow, the shit I see on this app on the daily is unbelievable. How did your friend get close enough for her to even think that was a possibility. That so called friend of mine would’ve definitely gotten a 2 piece to the face

Been divorced for 2 years and I’m just like you. I can’t bring myself to become emotionally attached to someone.

I will never get married again unless there’s something for me to gain. Whether that be with her money to combine and build wealth together (houses etc.) or if she comes from a wealthy family where I can get a dowry. Not interested in taking care of another woman financially again.
/r/Divorce_Men05/03/24 09:23 PM

All of that without kids is crazy

I’m 33. Been separated and living separately (neither of us have filed) for just over a year and a half. We were together for 10 years, married for 3 and the pain still hurts. Not so much as me wanting to be with her but I miss the family dynamic we had and in hindsight I truly believe we could’ve worked past our issues

Interesting, my ex becomes more rude whenever she starts seeing someone
/r/Divorce_Men16/02/24 09:36 AM

When she stopped taking accountability and blamed me for everything. When I gave her a detailed account on how I was going to fix our issues she would just move the goal post on me. She didn’t even want to go to therapy. And she would constantly lie about the smallest things which made me believe she was lying about other things. Once they go down that dark path there is no turning back.

This is so true. I’m in the same rut right now. Women and dating has been taking me away from my purpose. Most of them are a waste of time and resources.

Your point? You’re on the same damn app!
/r/Divorce_Men08/01/24 12:18 AM

Man I’m in the same boat now. My divorce crippled me financially in 2023 along with losing my job. Starting a new job in a couple weeks and I’m looking forward to rebounding but my credit score is damaged.

Man my ex hinted at the same exact thing! Literally verbatim… and silly ole me just shrugged it off

My ex’s mom went through 2 divorces as well… and then died from a drug overdose. So you can imagine what that did to her
/r/Divorce_Men27/12/23 03:09 AM

Bro… right there with you. The red flags were staring me dead in the face. I had blinders on
/r/Divorce_Men27/12/23 03:08 AM
6

Yup same. My ex grew up in a tumultuous broken home so she doesn’t see any problem with this. I grew up in a 2 parent household and although my parent’s marriage was far from perfect they raised productive kids and taught us the importance of family.
/r/Divorce_Men27/12/23 02:53 AM

She wants to coparent and be a part time mom. Sad generation we’re living in…

Being married or in a long term relationship will definitely ruin your game. The more you go out and date other women it will improve. I too am finding myself to be a little awkward. It’s a lot to adjust to. I don’t see a problem with having platonic female friends so as long as you are not spending your resources on them.
/r/Divorce_Men24/07/22 01:07 AM

Same. And all the good women are not as attractive (overweight) lol

Am I being shadow banned!?

Right like what is he complaining about 😂. I thought this story was going to end much worse
/r/Divorce_Men15/07/22 07:55 PM

This is refreshing. I’m 2 months into this and I literally find myself going crazy. It’s much harder when you throw a young child into the mix and I have so much spite for my ex it’s hard to control.

I tried to keep this shorter but I just had to let it all out
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/22 09:44 PM

Communication/inconsistency with words and actions Dead bedroom Lack of emotional intimacy (started to feel like she didn’t care about my well-being as much as I cared about hers) Conflicting visions/life goals Resentment over the past I’ll say the main thing however was the fact we outgrew one another after being together 11 years since our early 20s.
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/22 07:00 PM
1

So she’s hooking up with a married man? Shows her character lol
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/22 02:44 PM

If you need to contact her, you got her number…
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/22 07:13 AM

I don’t even bother looking because I know my eyes would be rolled to the back of my head the whole time. It is funny because 90% are destined for divorce anyways.
/r/Divorce_Men24/06/22 06:38 PM

I will say from my experience and the women I have come across either personally or vicariously through another individual, once they’re done it’s really hard to get them to change their mind
/r/Divorce_Men22/06/22 04:57 AM

You said she made her own bed. Just curious to know how you guys split? Was it a mutual decision?
/r/Divorce_Men22/06/22 03:41 AM

Wow given all that she still cheated? How did she make her own bed?
/r/Divorce_Men22/06/22 03:10 AM

I am a little worried about my ex’s quality of living and finances when I move too. I think women have a very hard time looking at the big picture and think everything is gonna be ok. Then reality hits them like a ton of bricks and by then it’s too late.
/r/Divorce_Men21/06/22 07:48 PM
2

I’ve been noticing red flags in my friend’s wives also lol
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/22 11:16 PM
1

So it was actually a good time. We had a really good conversation and they both assured me where their allegiance lies. They wish the best for me and my daughter. At the end of the day we just want an amicable divorce without me having to pay child support.
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/22 12:36 AM

True
/r/Divorce_Men19/06/22 12:27 AM
3

Update: I’m here… wish me luck
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/22 08:28 PM
3

Funny update. So she texts our group chat with my mom, dad, ex and myself asking what time we’re gonna be there (knowing my ex isn’t going) at 6am and I take a while to respond and then she texts my ex asking if I’m still going… like why not just text me directly?
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/22 04:10 PM
2

Valid. I just have a lot to explain. They don’t even know that I’m moving into my new apartment in a week lol. I know they’re not gonna like that
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/22 04:08 PM
4

Thank you sir. I just picked the book up yesterday. Can’t wait to read it.
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/22 03:35 PM
4

Same lol… based on the way I’ve seen it be used I’m guessing it is the guy they cheated on their husband with
/r/Divorce_Men16/06/22 11:28 AM
1

How would I know? Lol
/r/Divorce_Men15/06/22 07:16 PM
1

Ha… I could never imagine this dynamic as my ex never initiated sex. We went 3 months without sex when we decided to call it quits. We also have a child but she always used that as an excuse because she was “tired”. He could have low testosterone which in turn lowers his sex drive. Maybe he can get that checked out. Are there other problems in your marriage aside from sex?
/r/Divorce_Men15/06/22 05:40 PM
3

I feel all of this. Your last sentence hits home with me too. I refuse to go after anyone who’s lower than my ex. I will only date up.
/r/Divorce_Men15/06/22 04:43 PM
1

I feel this 1000%. I feel like no one can truly understand what I’m going through in my personal circle so what’s the use? I know what you mean by using it against you later
/r/Divorce_Men15/06/22 04:26 PM
1

Damn man can’t believe what I’m reading about your mom. Choosing to invite the new bf over for dinner!? Wow… Sounds like you’re closer to peace with everything so good on you man.
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 08:55 PM
1

Wow I really made some typos on the original comment
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 06:52 PM
3

Makes a lot of sense. My ex would always make slight comments to my bachelor friends that appeared to live a fun life.
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 04:31 PM
2

Real talk. For the record I am pretty active go to the gym, play basketball, hike, and I am contemplating joining this boxing gym but it’s $200 a month and my expenses just jumped exponentially. Thanks
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 04:03 PM
3

Wow spot on again. My buddy that said “you gotta be around friends at this time” was hanging out with a group of our friends and his wife was there. I was social on Friday and didn’t really feel like hanging out Saturday and Sunday. His wife and my ex have recently grown very close after a trip they did together (funny how they weren’t that close the previous 6 years while we were together). I partly did not want to meet up with them because I did not want to see her. But I’m the bad guy if I sa…
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 04:01 PM

Wow man. Spot on with me. My mom had 3 sons and my ex was the daughter she never had. Edit: my ex never cheated (as far as I know)
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 03:57 PM

wow

Did you go 1700 miles away because that’s where family is?
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 01:08 PM

She made way more than you and you still paid the rent?
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 01:06 PM

How funny my ex only wanted one too. After being pregnant before and wanting a second child.
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 04:52 AM

That’s real
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/22 04:51 AM

Needed this. Thank you and I’m happy for you!
/r/Divorce_Men13/06/22 03:30 AM

I get it man. I’d probably be willing to have NSA sex with my ex again. Mostly because I’m not too into my other sexual prospects atm.
/r/Divorce_Men12/06/22 11:20 AM

Smart haha

Oh man thank you that’s such great advise 🙄
/r/Divorce_Men11/06/22 12:12 AM

You have a lot to consider. I’m in a different situation where I’m in the early years of marriage. Probably much easier decision for me.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/22 02:00 PM
2

Fuck her life worry about your own.
/r/Divorce_Men07/06/22 03:33 AM
7

Funny how women always switch it back on you. My ex was an expert at that.
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/22 11:48 AM
2

Man so sorry to hear that. As an aspiring home owner myself I can understand how frustrating this would be. I’m in a similarly situation now where in order for me to be close to my daughter I have to rent and can’t afford to buy a home for at least 80 miles. A dilemma I struggle with daily.
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/22 11:47 AM
2

Yup. Her and my mom are close too so I’m pretty sure she told her some shit. It’s sad but my relationship with my mom isn’t that good rn cause of this (and many other things but that’s beside the point). Like everyone says time heals wounds.
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/22 01:06 AM
3

A lot of women value their friendships more than their personal relationships with their significant other so she most likely did damage control early on to ensure that the friends would take her side. She most likely fabricated her side of the story to make her look like the victim. Been there… the real ones will stick around
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/22 12:07 AM

Real talk brother
/r/Divorce_Men04/06/22 07:33 PM

Man I’d sure like to know too. I’m very early in our divorce stage and I still live with her until July but I just can’t help but to despise her with such venom. Just shocking how selfish she is.
/r/Divorce_Men04/06/22 07:15 PM

Yessir do you. Dating is expensive

That part

Heard that
/r/Divorce_Men30/05/22 04:11 PM

And not to mention you probably spend less with an escort when it’s all said and done. With dating you gotta add up all the restaurant bills and what not
/r/Divorce_Men30/05/22 01:00 PM

I feel for you brother. It’s just sad how selfish these women are

Single cruises exist? Lol

Yup. This generation of women are so misguided
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/22 06:02 PM

/r/Divorce_Men26/05/22 12:35 AM

Ur right the whole idea of marriage is so archaic
/r/Divorce_Men26/05/22 12:17 AM

So you let her keep it and sell it or she did it without consulting you?
/r/Divorce_Men25/05/22 08:31 PM

Absolutely

Yeah my wife is talking about us not being married but still living together (like roommates) because it is expensive where we live. I’d rather move on completely that way I can start my new life quicker. Makes you realize how many couples are together strictly because of living expenses.

My problem is none of my wife's close friends are married and they're not necessarily high character relationship women themselves...
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:16 PM

THAT PART.
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:10 PM

Do you think you two will be able to live separately?
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:04 PM

You don’t have kids and you can find work in another area… yeah you have absolutely nothing holding you back.
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 05:03 AM
2

Why are you here?
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:52 AM

It’s shocking when she surprises you with how evil she really is
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:51 AM

Yessss. Very similar situation as far as trying to get to the results and apologizing for my wrong doings but while at the same time discussing where things need to improve on her end too
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:49 AM

Thank you

A pornstar escort that I never saw…

I definitely feel like she has an ego about this like she wants to come across as the one who initiated it with her friends. I brought up divorce during heated conversations but everything I’ve said was always rooted in “let’s try to figure this out and get to the issues at hand”

LOVE THIS.

Ha funny that you would jump to conclusions regarding that. She never found out about that as those were one off times. I go to massage parlors during times she doesn’t know about. Let’s see your skeletons now.
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:39 AM

Now can we pull your skeletons out of your closet?
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:37 AM

That part… my STBEW isn’t even interested in couples therapy because she knows she wouldn’t able to discuss her faults
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/22 04:25 AM
15

So do we. GL brother

This! The first sentence. When I begin to tell people what went wrong I have a hard time because like you said it’s so much context that I’d literally have to break down 10 years of build up shit from our relationship
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/22 09:09 AM

That would piss me off omg
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/22 09:07 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
