Well it has nothing to do with Men's Rights, but good for her. Not sure how healthy the ink is though. Lots more pages in there could use the same treatment.

My ex-wife just decided I raped her 8 years ago. I left her, wouldn't touch her for the last six months, she starts playing custody games in 2019, BAM! claims I raped her. Already made up other abuse. Every agency bought it all without evidence and dismissed all evidence to contrary. We didn't do a very good job setting up the Patriarchy.

The math on the wage gap is the problem with the wage gap. However if you look at something where there should be approximate equality and there is a massive inequality (like 80%) then something is wrong there and from personal experience the whole system is based in bias and not one person in that industry has any idea what's best for kids BUT... you are right his link doesn't cover any of that and it's just a site for a law office.

Sister, feminists ACTIVELY PREVENT shared parenthood bills. Feminism is hurting men at pretty much every turn, but individually feminists all think they're fighting the good fight.

That was really really dumb. You started with a an unproven theory on female sexual selection and just kept going. Have you been in a relationship? did any of the bullshit you just spewed forth seem to make sense in the context of how men and women treat each other as individuals? You don't even really discuss anything outside of the desire for sex, which definitely highlights your priorities, but human life encompasses an enormous range of physical, mental, and emotional situations that you dis…

Hey, just so you know. Child support and possibly spousal support are NOT included as income. So if a man is paying 50% of his salary in support payments to a woman who doesn't work, she is recorded as having no income, and he is reported as making his full income. If you took that into account the overall gap would favour women.

Only two genders is such an idiotic hill to die on for either side. In the context of men's rights it's not even an issue.

There has to be a more important issue to spend your time on. Getting banned is usually someone's first experience with what happens when you bring up genuine men's issues outside this sub. Please don't start removing them. Also you're talking down to the people you're addressing, makes me think you're a dick.

Sorry about your daughter. I'm in the same boat. I'm currently paying 90% of my salary in child support and still may face jail for not paying enough. My ex breaks our court order without consequence on a monthly basis. Do you think it would be reasonable that all parents received equal joint custody after separation? That's the discussion that we need to make society have. It would benefit men and women and children and society as a whole. The discussion you're starting here though is just some…

The biggest problem people have is that they falsely believe that if you're for men's rights then you must be for taking away rights from women. In reality there is no versus anyone. The items your friend labeled as men/women vs men, it's not, it's society vs men. Men spend more time in prison, but Hilary Clinton as part of her platform was looking to reduce prison sentences for women. Men are more likely to be victims of violent crime but the overwhelming priority is to make women feel safe. Wh…

On the one side saying that a movie isn't made for a certain class or group of people is a valid argument in some contexts. On the other, if you're going to take people's money you have to listen to what they say. Personally, I'll wait til it's on Netflix. There is a trade war going on ffs, I can't be bothered with any movie that isn't part of the MCU.

As a left leaner no we did not spend years taking jabs at MRAs and many many MRAs are liberal. Your talk of voting means you are missing that Mens Rights is international, not just about the US. Having said that you're pretty much correct from an American perspective.

You gotta make a caricature of your enemy so that you can easily disagree with them. There are few more crippling caricatures than the woman hating MRA. Also don't talk to MRA's about this they'll just deny hating women... that's how you know they actually do.

Ok, so this is a big deal for me. I'm currently in court to get shared parenting with my kids (50/50). What defines a 'fatherless home'? I can see behavioural problems with my kids now that I know come from my exe's sporadic parenting. I work to correct them on the weekends I have them but it's like bailing out the titanic because of my limited time. Is 'fatherless home' a home where the kids never see their dad? Is it one where the father only has access? We need to define our terms here. Can s…

You can only take this challenge if you use artists from the (somewhat arbitrary point) of the 1950's on. Before then you can easily make the argument that men and women would not have had equal opportunities. Do you think the ratio would still be so lopsided under those conditions?

I also am optimistic about the new laws, hard to figure out how they could be worse (j/k they could be worse). Everyone keeps dissing Trudeau, so far I'm hard pressed to figure out why he's getting the hate. I like him, I'd take him over Harper any day.

Hey guys, I've been thru two separate custody battles in Canada. I'm fairly certain changes to coming legislation will make shared time and a more balanced parenting time. Although everyone will refuse to admit there is bias against men in Canadian family courts, everyone will say it's 'broken'. Everything in this article was a positive change from what it is now. I think we can be cautiously optimistic about this. As a divorced dad, I think it will be good.

You're a waste of time. Women aren't oppressed and no argument you've made anywhere in this thread did you make any points towards arguing the were, instead siting things there are actual LAWS AGAINST. You went on to announce that any discrimination against men didn't count but unable to identify any bias in your own thinking. But It doesn’t matter my life experience because that doesn’t make me right or wrong. No but you are making assumptions about life and how people interact which are fundamentally wrong. Did you not discriminate but it could have been seen as discrimination? What factors did you use to evaluate the successful hire? Does any of that experien…

I've been in a huge number of hiring positions. In high paying, good benefit positions we have given advantage to women and minorities. To add nuance to this... we consider the BEST CANDIDATES, but we want to add women and minorities and whoever for a variety of reasons. I'm gonna focus on one statement, because there is so much garbage here. Circumcision substantially decreases the risk of urinary tract infection From a medical study. "Given a risk in normal boys of about 1%, the number-needed-to-treat to prevent one UTI is 111.". "Assuming equal utility of benefits and harms, net clinical benefit is likely only in boys at high risk of UTI." I think that women are still opressed/discriminated against today, even though the tide is really turning and things are looking pretty good. I think you have no prospective or have not lived very long. How are they oppressed today? You think the tide is turning? Can you elaborate on what more you want to give the girls to make them equal? I really like you. OK. So we have established based on your standards that women were 'oppressed' (which I understand more as 'under-class'), because of their different legal status. So by your standards I have a different legal status as a man with regards to my children. Based on that I would say the introduction of the 'Tender Years Doctrine' in 1839 was when it ended. Controlling offspring.... the biggest thing there is. And by your standard of oppression I would say that men who already had…

OP is correctly pointing out the latest trend on this sub to attempt to rewrite history. You did it yourself; "different legal status". That's like calling a cripple "differently abled". I disagree with what you are saying. Different legal status is correct. cripple is not equivalent. Men and women were different classes. There were upsides and downsides, that is different than oppression. I call word policing foul AND bullshit. I'm not building any villains but you at the moment. There is no 'b…

Hi. Here is why what you're saying is kinda the worst. The revelation that men are victims of abuse is extremely recent. The reason is that for all the DECADES they researched domestic violence they never even asked men. It wasn't even something they looked at. This should put the majority of what you think you know in doubt. Not to mention you know we're about men's issues here too right? Like do you go to /r/vegan and tell them chicken stew is great? It's his story, is it true? Maybe. I know that thinking critically I can't assume it is. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. HOWEVER, I can tell you from personal experience that woman wouldn't have to have a mark on her and she would be taken seriously. No, someone did say: read a lot of his post history and I just got the ickiest chill because it reminded me of an Ann Rule book (true crime) I read a few years ago called Dead By Sunset. The only good advice I have ever gotten on this topic is, ask them to show you court orders they have secured for other fathers. The court orders are public record, so they have no obligation to keep them secret, and they violate no privacy laws. Its not like the companies pool foreign women by 'how slutty are they'. I'm saying very few people live in areas where there are any foreign women/men, let alone slutty and datable ones. You're saying this is a thing, but it applies to such a small pool of people that it doesn't make sense to equate those people's behavior with society in general. There is a lot to digest there. My point here, which I think your post backs up, is that this culture may exist but it is not mainstream culture. Some people think feminism is a science. They need to be told it's a religion. As far as schools go I've got 3 kids from 7 to 14 and have been to a few teacher conferences and other meetings. They seem pretty gender balanced and aware of what's going on. I was definitely ready from day one to find stuff that would be sexist and really just haven't found it. If you watch the old Planet of the Apes and the male lead is hairy and sucks in his gut the entire movie, it's a pretty crazy contrast to modern movies where even just random roles are filled by people who work out 4 hours a day.

I'm not agreeing with you. You ever watch Hell's Kitchen? The girls do just fine. I just find that depiction of an office job as being potentially hostile a bit out there.

Right? Room full of men, no problem. Girl walks in, 'our privacy!'. I think arguing about feminism is causing some people to adopt its mind set.

I'm just saying it's not like that for anyone. Meetings are boring as shit, most people are trying to stay awake. Also, why is everyone hostile? How can you honestly use that word to describe a work environment where you're going to meetings? Why would anyone invite you to a meeting and ignore you? This is just not a description of a work environment that is believable from the point of view of someone who has had a lot of office jobs and gone to a lot of meetings.

You don't have the right to compromise other people's privacy for your own personal convenience. Watch me. you know thinking otherwise means you're a cunt, right? Oh good virtue signalling. If, of all the actions and events of my life, this is the one I am judged on, I can accept that and have no regrets.

When he talks about the women working at google: Picture yourself in a hostile male-dominated environment, getting interrupted at meetings, being ignored, having your abilities doubted I see this OVER AND OVER AND OVER and it's bullshit. That he's bringing it up about google under these circumstances makes the claim that this is what women face at work even more ridiculous.

So I agree with this to an extent but then I disagree and here is why: We all exist in a society. There is an idea of a social contract. So I as a member of this society will agree to various conditions in exchange for certain benefits provided by the larger society. For most people, a major part of the social contract is that as a member of that society I should have all the rights and freedoms of every other member of society. If you don't like the conditions of the social contract you can go …

I kind of agree, then someone else was like 'Things will(and did) get out of hand without those laws'. I can see the point. Let's say I hate white people, open a business that doesn't allow white people, business draws others who hate white people, a space is created where hatred of others is allowed to thrive, hatred spills out into larger society. If we have a society, there must be a minimum standard by which we are all treated, otherwise you don't have a society.

This began as a post about privilege. You say it's everywhere, we have it, everything is set up to help men. So here is a story from your country. You could even feel it's an advantage cause you have more time to decide and you get to find out what everyone else is having. Same thing with being served first. At a table of two it's nothing, but at a large table most people won…

It's men's rights. We also want the girls to have rights because they are people too. But if someone is worried about what women are wearing, that's not a right's issue, that's their opinion. Hey! In common law women receive custody because of The Tender Years Doctrine which was written and championed by a woman who lost custody of her children. It was codified into law in Britain in 1839. Somewhat ironic in that she hated losing her children so campaigned to have others lose their's too. It was definitely championed, and later enhanced due to pressure from feminists.

How an organization deals with Men's Rights movements is one of my tests for whether or not I can trust what they write about everything else. I'm on board with a lot of what you're saying. However... Mother nature gave women a raw deal by making them dependent on men. This one isn't a good argument under any circumstances. While men are certainly the dominant part of the workforce which maintains all our vital services this does not mean that women are not capable of it. No, I am kinda sorry. I wouldn't lie. Women aren't ALL physically weaker than men, you twat. Ya, no shit. But a woman of 150lbs will be much weaker than a man of 150lbs. Women are on average weaker due to societal standards, and also, biology (regarding their inherent strength). Due to societal standards.... no. Medical citation needed. Women are physically weaker than men. Happy now? You made a super obvious point. Is this really an issue you feel the need to address in /r/mensrights? Before parental rights and equality under the law we need to get this segregation in sport worked out? Maybe you should try /r/mensrants. Also sorry to be such a dick about your post.

I've spent about 70k trying to get access to my kids. My child support is a fraction of that. On top of that the amount of time you have to invest in preparing court documents, going to court, meetings with lawyers are insanely time consuming and lead to a ton of missed work hours. I am still of accused of only trying to have equal access to my kids because I don't want to pay, OR my favourite, because I just want to harass my ex.

Have you noticed the few millenia of male productivity? For poor wages? in life threatening conditions? Yes I have noticed that. Men not buying into their traditional role will change society faster than you think. How? Do you have some kind of r/futurology link or something? What exactly will change? Who will change it? Unless you have something to base this on other than your sincere hopes, I'm dismissing this as wishful thinking.

I have anxiety attacks moments of distress in underground parking garages. The spaces are so close together and every 3rd one has a pillar making it harder to get into... it's not too bad in a small car, but last time I tried it in a truck it took me 5 minutes to get out and I created a blocked line of cars with people yelling at me (which was not helpful).

I love how they said 'To learn more about privilege...' at the end. Like they show us this dystopian male society where men are no longer human due to societal pressure and then pile on how good men have it. I mean the video was shit. The women do this, men do that was brutally sexist, but then to pile on complete double-think at the end... well clearly it's award winning to be utterly inconsistent now.

In charge of what? The money. How you raise your kids. Have you been married? You have two people living one life. Sometimes what shows you watch can lead to fights. I once got into a fight with my wife because I put on Nirvana Unplugged while I was painting the kitchen and she came in and turned it off because she felt that he had lost the right to be heard by committing suicide. After the man has been feminized enough woman is not attracted to him anymore. Having been thru it a couple times this isn't accurate. The problem is that marriage is designed around one person ultimately being in charge (traditionally the man). In modern society this isn't the case. Everyone is equal. The result is that there is no final word. Every disagreement will drag on forever. Just for clarity, I'm not saying that men should be in charge just SOMEONE. The result of modern marriage is a p…

I needed another reason. Politicians in general can go fuck themselves, I don't care their gender. If the PM puts women in his government to attain gender equality, awesome, it's one more thing all the people screaming about women not being equal can shut up about. I heard an interesting argument that applies to what you're talking about and why they can get away with it in Canada. When the first legal cases started where women were fighting for equality they needed to prove women were systematically disadvantaged. Which when these things started, they were proven to be. As more of these cases came up, they repeatedly showed women were systematically disadvantaged (because they were at that time). Now that disadvantage has been eliminated, but there is dec…

Chauvinism is the act of finding women inferior to men. Men may find them hysterical, annoying, obnoxious, pushy, bossy or any other description of normal female behaviour. Hi, thanks for stalking us it makes us feel important. I read thru some of your comments about consent and teaching boys not to rape. What you're not seeing is that respect for women, not hitting girls, girls being equal, that shit is ingrained in boys from as soon as they enter school at the latest. When they hit school, female teachers become their authority figures, they interact, play with, and befriend girls. Media provides constant reminders of what a horrible crime rape is. So when you sa…

You know there is a real possibility this could could cut down on American foreign wars. It seems people didn't have much problem sending men to die for no reason. Men after all have always gone to war. Politicians are gonna have a much harder time now and I think the anti-war movement will likely get a lot stronger. Who knows.

Ah, so your point is 'you did something I don't feel is right so therefore you deserve whatever you get and have no rights to anything'. So here's a few points that I didn't add. I've had to have her removed from my house by 911. She has repeatedly denied access. She is constantly verbally abusive, including in front of my children. So for example, our court order says 4 weeks in the summer are mine, I get xmas.... So my son was not made available to me on multiple Christmases. If you look at th…

Gender Neutral my well sculpted ass. Pictures were almost all men abusing women. Examples that I saw were all So-and-So's husband did this. They also went into detail about how men use custody and access issues to further abuse women. It's the same shit being used to justify defacto primary care being awarded to women.

They instantly label extremists like Roosh, who I don't believe even identifies as an MRA, and red pillers as Men's Rights Activists and then goes on to say we're full of hate and misogyny. It's a sham article the same as all the others. They didn't bother to do even basic research. The survey was a fucking sham. Meninism isn't real. You can tell when people haven't done their homework and get mad about meninism. It's a satirical movement. From google: Meninism is a semi-satirical gender equality and men's rights movement. Its followers are known as Meninists.

It's true! She has no policy listed that agrees with the title. I doubt most people went through both pages. The first page definitely talks about making things easier for women(it doesn't say anything about men) but the policy page itself is gender neutral and looks to shorten sentences for everyone. Having said that, I think what you're seeing in here is the fact that treatment of men by the court system (criminal, and family) is quite different that it's treatment of women. Despite this, Hila…

Anyone noticed that blaming a man for anything has become exactly the same as a witch trial without even an insane pointless test? The funny thing is that I have never ever in my whole life seen a man hit a woman and I'm 42. I have seen more women hit men than I can count AND I have been hit myself by more than one woman. I guess I must just have had a rare and unique life to have missed all the violence against women in today's society.

What people are irrelevant? Updating dictionaries is fine, but you don't have a word to replace what liberalism actually means. And did you just insult me for having a reasonable discussion? /r/MensRights02/06/16 03:12 PM

NOPE. There are millions and millions of people who identify as liberal and know exactly what it means. Liberals never refer to these people as liberal. The people who often DO call them liberals are people who aren't and don't really understand what liberalism is and get excited at the opportunity to link all the things they don't like together. But, no, you don't get to change words because you want them to mean something different for your own personal ends. And I hate to point it out to you …

Liberal means open minded. That's it. You can assign whatever you want to it but that's what it ACTUALLY means. As these people aren't engaging the speaker or any of the issues raised they are closed minded. The entire regressive left is closed minded and unwilling to discuss. Thus mutually exclusive. Ta-da!

The real problem here is that this is something two 16 year old girls can and are willing to do. They are aware of this dynamic, they already know how to play the game, and that's before they're even adults. Anyone who tells you that women don't make false accusations is hopelessly naive.
