best to combine with your own research of case law and ordinances. you can go to a local law library if they have designated days that open to the general public, and search for case law. ask ai to write you the queries to find cases like yours and find similar cases. your luck is better if their attorney isn't top tier.

she is going to use your exhaustion, your loneliness, your shattered feelings, your feelings of loss, your seeking of peace and stability, your desire to end the nightmare, all to fleece you into a bad deal for you. you may be fine with that now for the sake of minimizing the nightmare, but you won't be fine with it later. your daughters will always know you got mowed over, gave up, didn't fight, accepted your lesser than her, lesser value as a person by ethics work ethics, lesser as a parent...…

for the kids sake you could try to keep it together if youve identified what the attraction shift was or has been from you to the other guy; it's all about how you make her feel. women don't like to be honest and or held accountable when it casts them in a bad light, so forget that. it unjustifies her feelings and you're a man so your feelings don't matter. you would have to forgive, blame it on her feelings, blame yourself for those feelings, all the while focusing on yourself and being the bes…

I settled bc of my, well actually indirectly both atty's pressure to. the atty's were trying to get it settled, and make it a digestible deal for both parties. going to trial and the threats of unpredictable consequences from the judge was a bluff. found that out after going to court and having post divorce hearings on other issues. wished i had kept the same process, but pushed slightly harder. we settled the day b4 trial. they'll try scare you with, u can't predict what the judge will do, as i…

It's a tall task to change the judge and the newly assigned judge will be biased against you because/if you successfully change the judge you're an outsider challenging the integrity of the court. file motion for contempt against her with an award of the 30 days you lost in chunks of whatever time is reasonable and also that if she does it again she automatically forfeits the upcoming time for her with the kids. map it to a violation of your court ordered divorce decree

any attorneys/lawyers representing either of you? judges are swayed by working with the attorneys they like, and are biased against persons representing themselves. i'd appeal the itinerary ruling to a higher court.

so is my state, the point is not to convince the court it's to air her laundry out in public, i.e. trial is open to the public and in addition to that once you have proof via discovery of her misbehaving or doing things she'd rather her family and friends not know about, you have the upper hand

of course she changed her mind; the threat of going to trial got me the house in the end; she won't want her business put out there or made to look like the bad guy; in your discovery requests include complete social media account and cash app account exports/dumps; it's pretty standard and if you have them this is key, it'll be a gigantic optional leverage point. source: x is cheating nurse 40yo three kids 8,8,9y.o. i got the house and the stability is great for the kids

instead of talking to her about how you feel, find a calm and pressure free opportunity to hear how she feels and how she felt, how she was affected, what that really feels like and felt like to her, get a deep understanding of what life was like for her and what she went through everyday, what it's like to feel that she can never trust you again, how betrayed she felt by you totally vanishing and discarding her into the bottle, how it felt to see you not help yourself, how crushing it was to se…

I hope you really do get everything in her name. Yes trust issues are normal. You had said "major" trust issues so I took from that you recognized they were issues larger than normal.

trusts and prenups won't do it, whatever you cannot stand to lose must be in someone else's name; also get to talking with a psychologist about trust issues

if the reason for drinking has been identified or addressed and you've taken accountability for your own wrongdoings, and can continue to self reflect and sympathize, it may be a good comeback story and be just fine for you all

I'm in the same boat, same age, but process now been going on one year. At this point I've found those that are more friendly with her than me, weren't really there for me in the first place. This scenario may be partly because she wants to look good and me to look bad in others' eyes. I've since made new friends or otherwise reconnected with friends and family I haven't seen in a while. Spent lots of time running, bike riding, hiking, lifting, playing and coaching sports. Also spend a lot of ti…

This requires SpouseB to say its ok for SpouseA to buyout? Or there is an exception where the Court would say, tough luck SpouseB, we're going to allow SpouseA to buy you out.

that's a great idea regarding the kids maybe i can even write it in that it'll be left in a trust for the kids. yes she only seeks to make me "lose" rather than be equals and equally capable parents in respect to housing/income/assets etc.

You may be able to bounce around jobs in healthcare. Lots of divorced people in that field, so may be opportunities to meet new people at new floors/hospitals etc. You're nearly working 12's so that's a lot of time opportunity to converse with people and develop friendships and relationships.

It may be better for them in the long run to begin to wean off of the dependency. Would just need to make the time with you fulfilling and entertaining. If she moved out and you're still home, perhaps that's an opportunity to allow them time with their friends in the neighborhood that they're familiar with amongst other things.

You will get access, through discovery requests, of bank and credit card statements. It'll just be a bunch of back and forth until you both agree on how to split money assets and debts along with children etc
