I'm in law school and I second everything she said! The first year will be really demanding so I recommend you have a lot of easy staple meals you can depend on!

I think you should sit down with someone more experienced in finances and make a real plan. Maybe the debt would be too much, but plenty of people go to those expensive schools every day using student loans and pay them off. It’s not impossible, but a real financial plan might be necessary for you to see things from a more objective place. I know you’re in a tough spot and I remember what it was like to be trying to decide these things at 18. I just don’t want you to cheat yourself out of opport…

I am a fellow North Carolinian who went to college in DC at perhaps the most prestigious and expensive school there. I say stay, go for it, because DC and whatever school you are at will push you to be better. NC is comfortable, but there won’t be nearly as many opportunities in the future to push yourself like you can now. I say take advantage of them while you still can.

Less serious to dating partners! Not married but want to shed some of my masculine seriousness and add more playfulness into my demeanor. I really believe you can still be serious and responsible and reliable, while also having a laugh, being flirty/easy going, and not taking life too seriously. Any advice?

It sounds like you have the financial resources, the love, and the commitment to taking the best care of this child. If it feels right in your gut, I think there is no reason not to. Plenty of children grow up with two bad parents and are just fine. Your child would be immensely blessed to have you, who clearly seems like a committed, loving, and responsible woman. I know it won't be an easy decision, but I will be sending you all the good thoughts to determine what is best for you.

How do you feel after the cleaning is all done? that is the feeling that drives me. I feel like I can think clearly and relax in my home and like my life is a fresh canvas. The process itself I don't care for (who does) but the feeling a clean home/desk/closet/car/etc leaves me with is what I crave.

Praying - not particularly religious but there's something about talking out my worries with a higher power that puts me in a much more joyful and radiant state that both my man and I enjoy Doing my hair and makeup - nothing makes you feel good than looking good! Cleaning - I swear it's good for the soul This might be a slightly more masculine thing but getting things done and having the time and mental space to relax and be present with those I'm around Reading RPW and the resources that help m…
