I think that applies to me. Part of it is that i believe in concepts like loyalty, honor, long term planning, etc. Also the quality of woman i'm willing to LTR doesn't just fall in my lap from the sky, i have to pursue and win them. which isn't going to "just happen".

i went through this. Happened to me once, then again, then i got all in my head. Handled it badly a couple times. Here's what i came up with: First, do some practicing and try different condoms to find a comfortable size and brand. Try lube inside, but too much might make it prone to slipping off so experiment. I would tell him that you see being able to go through this interview process as a great learning experience and you want to take it seriously for that reason, then ask him various questions and advice. My experience has been that asking for date in first message gets yes a lot but that more than half then cancel. I'm old so maybe things have changed but in college i wouldn't go for "asking her out", that's a whole production. Just get her alone on some pretext: invite her to your dorm room to see your stamp collection or something. then kiss her. If she is really shy she may need some space to process that.
