I will try to answer this as best I can in my current state, it's labor day weekend after all. Been with tons of Women over the years, now 33, and had plenty of natural wingman. The real consideration for a natural, is what do you bring to the table. It's not calculated like you think it is. One of my most successful friends back ~15 years ago, the deal was that I would be the DD and he'd get us into parties and to meet people. I think the distinction is that most men don't actually want to go t…

Because they are in the middle of nowhere with a 10x markup compared to Europe? It’s probably cheaper and easier to fly into the Netherlands or Germany than go to some isolated town in Nevada.

This is just untrue. I went to the UC school most known for partying, and was in Engineering. I went out to the most parties of almost anyone, not in a fluff major, generally 3-4 times a week. Maybe that’s why I got a 2.7 and it took me 6-7 years to make it to a FAANG, but I digress. I was generally pretty familiar with most women in STEM with the exception of bio majors, since I was extremely sociable, and could talk to and did talk to most of them at some point, because I wasn’t trying to sleep…

Yes, in the sense that making more than 100k makes you more happy. Almost every study suggests that above ~100k it has a small effect on happiness. I have a n count of 40, and was up until the layoffs working as an engineer at a FAANG. I wasn’t much happier making 200k, but I was more fulfilled and far more confident in my abilities having been able to succeed at a higher level. It’s similar with success with Women. There were exponential benefits psychologically from 0 to 10 women. But after th…

The bar, festivals, trivia night, rec sports leaugues, volunteering, educational classes etc. You can meet people at any number of events. And I don’t want to hear some bs about how only degenerates go to bars. I’ve met tons of men and women who make 100k+ and are well adjusted people in these sorts of venues.

I think its different with actors / actresses who were already famous a la Natalie Portman, Emma Watson, James Franco, and Mayim Bialik (not Ivy but similar setup). Those who got in on academic merit are like 95% intelligence or above, based on my many friends and classmates who went to them. Not geniuses necessarily, but at least 2 standard deviations and above the mean. My point was that if you get into an Ivy thats the only it makes sense to study theater since the name gives a big enough bac…

Regarding the IQ thing... I know there are different kinds of smarts, but really smart people don't do theater. I agree with most of your analysis, but I have to push back on this portion. We can assume that almost everyone who makes it into an Ivy on academic merit is really smart. Or at least above the average of my UC Engineering classmates. Look at all of the famous alumni of the Yale drama department. You can also look to: Matt Damon / Harvard, Conan O’Brien / Harvard, David Duchovny / Prin…

I mean the Netherlands provides sex credits for the disabled to see prostitutes a few times a year. Then again the Netherlands is far more progressive: some of the earliest acceptance of homosexuality and gay marriage, tolerance of marijuana and mushrooms, physician assisted suicide, prostitution etc..

No, after they were dragged through the mud for a year in the probably the biggest media story of ‘06 and suspended from university while being the top lacrosse team in the nation, they won their case. Nancy Grace brought it up everyday on national television.

We can also use the duke lacrosse case as an example. The men were suspended. The other stripper said that the plaintiff was blantantly lying. The prosecutor was disbarred for gross misconduct or negligence. The Judge said that the boys were innocent. She wasn’t given any penalty nor sent to Jail. Don’t worry, she’s in jail now… a few years after she was let off scott free she committed a murder, since she wasn’t behind bars.

It doesn’t have to be more than one Woman. Look at Matt Ariza over the last year. She lied to him about her age, was breaking the law in San Diego about being out past curfew, perjured herself considering he wasn’t around at the time of the incident. How is she not in Jail?! It’s interesting seeing the other side of things. I grew up in CA and would every once in a while meet a celebrity organically. Like when I was refereeing their kid in sports or when my dad ran into one with me that he had played pickup games with at the rec center. Or at the yearly charity event my parents would go to, and I went twice? With my girlfriend, I’ve been able to get a behind the scenes peek so to speak. She’s friends with at least 5 celebrities who have wiki pages, including one who…

It will be taller than that. Something like 6’8 is going to be the optimum warrior size which will be the male ideal. This is largely due to the difference in growth rate of surface area and volume. At a certain point there are more issues with injury and clumsiness as an individual gets taller. We won’t ever naturally reach a true homeostasis however since shorter women have better childbearing success and greater height disparities have more successful relationships. But if everyone starts CRI…

As a man would understand the definition of opening up, No. What they really mean is they want you to show your true colors as long as they exude positive masculinity. I have opened up to several Women and cried in front of them about my Mother's passing. They have actually been receptive and kind and thoughtful in respect to that event. That said, there's a reason for it... your Mother won't pass away twice, which means its a non issue going forward, and it shows that you actually have emotions…

Being rich, actually provides very little benefit. If you inherited it, you are just going to be taken advantage of. If you are earning a high wage, the work and stress obligations aren't worth it Ceteris Paribus. If you've earned it yourself from an entrepreneurial venture and make at least 500k a year or have a net worth of 5 million plus it starts to make a substantial difference. I'm pretty in tune with the people in this demographic from birth / upbringing and working as an engineer at a FA…

It does however make it easier to develop the attractive characteristics. Better food / chefs, more interesting stories after being able to afford travel / do more things, personal trainers, better clothes for pea-cocking etc. It lowers the activation energy for a lot of things. Just because many dudes don't use the better tools available with more money doesn't mean they couldn't. I don't think Mark Zuckerberg would have taken up kickboxing if he hadn't been able to afford a private instructor.

Firsthand Experience? I'm at an N-count of 40. I got with plenty of Women who were much more-so normal than exceptional. There were plenty of women I've hooked up with in the past who had 'normal' trajectories but would have no ability to lock a guy like me long term. I've also seen firsthand, ton's of the top dudes getting ridiculously special treatment in the dating arena. Sure, I used to be pissed that I had to work stupidly harder in that arena than the most attractive men, but I also knew I…

It's not about the a..hole, it's about allowing him access to something. I've had it with a few, ~5 women. I haven't found much difference between it and normal sex, personally. What I will say though, is that it is very fulfilling when a Woman you are attracted to, is willing to let you push boundaries in that way. At the end of the day, we really do love a woman who is willing to let us do stuff that they normally wouldn't, because they are so attracted to us. And just as a reminder, a large a…

Men should get a reasonable amount of time from being notified in writing to make a decision. Say one month, to be able to object in writing and not consent to fatherhood. If not, you’ll have people wait til past the deadline to inform their partner to get around the law.

No, I've got to disagree. Missionary is obviously the baseline generic default. But the best for any long-term relationship sex? No way. In general it is a less dominating position. Sure you are on top of the person, but parallel to them, which means is much easier to roll you over than if you are perpendicular, obvious for anyone who has spent any time on the mat. In terms of view, clearly reverse cowgirl or many other positions give you a much better viewpoint to oggle at your long-term partne…

So really, this just comes down to a difference in terms. You said 'Attractive' which I and most people would instinctually take to mean in the top 80-90% of Women as a lower bound. If I said rich in a comment, I would assume that to be at least 5M net worth or 300k a year, as a lower bound in the USA. That's not a problem, but it's important for us to actually sus out what everyone's contribution actually means.

With all due respect, I looked through your profile and you are mis-representing yourself in the comments here. I took you at your word without further investigation. That's my irresponsibility. I don't mean that as a 'dis', I mean that for accuracy. My girl is easily in the top 5% of eligible single women in the PNW as a lower bound. Men and Women here are definitely below average of the USA, but I can easily put a more realistic value of this. My girl is easily in the top 10% of single eligibl…

Nah, it's that very attractive women don't understand where they show detrimental traits. Most men, are willing to put up with these things in a short term relationship, or even in a long term relationship, but they are very detrimental for marriage. Desirable Women think that means that men don't want to tie them down, but really it's that they don't meet the long term requisites. They haven't learned normal human interaction. Women don’t produce in aggregate, so it’s largely irrelevant. When women start creating fortune 500 companies, doing the dirty jobs, or pay more than they consume in taxes then that discussion makes sense.

It is obviously possible to overcome it. How much work it takes depends on your starting place. The truth is that world treats you differently depending on your status in the social hierarchy. If you are lower in the hierarchy having good game / attitude can make up for being lower but it does take much more effort and perseverance. This is why any reasonable person would encourage you to do both: increase your status in the hierarchy and increase your ability to interact with the world. Active …

This entirely depends where you fall on the social strata. In an upper-class family the sons are generally more favored, in lower-class families the daughters are generally more valued. You probably could do better and make more in a big city. I think the sweet spot is as a senior engineer at a mid size company. Its not like I have to work that much more at at a FAANG, but I do have to be much more on point, have less freedom on what I work on, and the work is generally less interesting. Making an application or having a big say in the design of a full application is much more fulfilling than being a cog in big tech. But yeah , if we were talking about success in RMV & SMV, the…

No, I don’t think it is. I think about $120k is the sweet spot. Good enough to afford everything you need, while not gaving to take on the extra responsibility of higher pay/work obligations. E.g. being a physicians assistant vs doctor.

Money really doesn’t matter that much unless you are making 500k +. At least not to conventionally attractive women, its different if you’re talking to some nerdy Ivy League chick or whatever. Sure there might be some women who will leave you or won’t get into a relationship if you don’t make enough money, but as long as you aren’t working some menial job it won’t matter. And the money doesn’t really generate interest unless its an obscene amount. I make 200k+ at 30 for reference. My ex was a so…

It’s like 5% who can get lots of 9+ women. For those men there’s no real reason to wait towards your peak age to settle down. Sure its more fun, but at a certain point it becomes routine and there’s no point in waiting. Most men can become desirable in there 30s if they work their ass off, and then relationships are worthwhile. Particularly because women have more well rounded expectations. If you’re a normal dude and stay a normal dude then relationships/marriage probably aren’t worth it. The p…

No, you should pursue excellence and get as much casual sex as you can from the current hookup culture. If you can get a lot of 9+ women, then maybe you should go for relationships earlier and if not you should be going for the best relationships you can get in your 30s. If you have worked hard as a man and put yourself out there enough, relationships are still worth it with women when you reach your 30s if you can elicit genuine desire. You don't escape the fun friend zone, you avoid it all together. The question is how do you avoid this? There are many ways, like showcasing pre-selection or speaking bluntly about what you want or talking about how you don't want anything serious etc etc. If you need to get out of it, you get the girl jealous by getting some other girls into you so that she starts to get jealous. It usually works, and can be done for ~5k in Turkey. I ran into a guy who had just gotten it done on a flight back from Europe. I think its not unreasonable to throw it in is a possibility, just like how most Women can find a way to afford breast implants if they really want it.

I genuinely think this is just due to men caring way more about being accurate in specifics, particularly n count, than Women. Not malicious intent or anything of the sort. I remember being pretty pissed when I couldn’t name every women I’d slept with at 23 when I had been been able to at 21. Theres no ‘rational’ reason for this. Remove Women's right to vote. I realize that the suggestion of this is sacrilege, but that's the only actual long-term solution. Mind you, that doesn't mean that we should remove any women's rights or do anything negative against women. In fact, I'm horrified by some of the recent attacks on women's bodily autonomy. But, if you took away that one right, everything would sort itself out over the next 50-100 years or so. Slowly but surely, bad incentive structures would self-correct, and things wo…

SoCal, but that's irrelevant. The reason to bring it up is that I got exposure to lots of 'successful' men through different strategies. I've also been able to see the change in the RMV/SMV over the generations. Making money clearly has much lower value than it did in the past. Like I've been lifting for a decade and have been pretty much topped out since 23~24. That lifting is clearly worth more in the dating market than a 200k a year job. Similarly, height while always an advantage, has become…

No. I'll elaborate. The halo-effect is quite obviously real. As is the committed men will work harder because they have responsibilities, and the committed men have more structure so they will be more on point. But this just obfuscates correlation vs causation. What I mean by the above, is that the time expectations of relationships with Women today, do not result in a net higher income over time, all else being equal. Tattoos signal lower trait inhibition. In general, that signals worse prospects for having a good easy going long-term relationship. It also in the same vain, suggests lower class over upper class. The ideal form is some combination of Push and Pull. Almost no men will be successful showing 100% distance and almost no men will be successful showing 100% interest. The key is to sometimes push and to sometimes pull. Guys who are most successful with the hottest Women, tend to do much more push than pull, because top-shelf women don't need as much validation. The same level of push and pull will cause you to fail with lower tier women, who require higher amounts of validation. Let me try to d…

Depends on the timeframe. Top tier women have more advantages than a top tier man from mid teens til early 30s give or take. And yes these upsides make up for the downsides. You don’t see many top tier men getting free vacations or the same handouts as top tier women during their peak. Over a long enough timeframe the attractive man will win. I mean it’s a bit of an unattractive indicator. I’m a dude and know exactly 0 attractive men who pursue rock climbing. Sure some of my software buddies do it… but I said attractive. Rock climbing tends to draw in shorter skinny awkward dudes who care about technical things over skills like socializing. Sure, this is simple. In California, my good guy friend and my best female friend were caught in their underwear by the cops. He was 19 she was 17. The police very explicitly told him that he and only him would have gotten a Misdemeanor had they been slightly more indecent. It’s not overrated, because it’s not just the sexual success. It’s the social validation, the better treatment, the easier socialization, etc etc etc. I would gladly trade my 1%er income for being in the top 5% of the SMV chart, and that’s from someone who has mostly hovered in the low 80s and gotten to have experienced plenty of the chad-lite, for myself, or chad existence of close friends.

Nah this is off. It’s more like 70%. First off guys in the 70s get lucky a fair amount, they just can’t consistently pull. Second, there is a lot of churn between guys in the 70s and 80s where when they start doing worse they start to refocus on game and socializing, or they knowingly sacrifice some amount of SMV to focus on career or whatever.

It’s a bit more nuanced than that. I pay 50k a year in taxes to benefit society. Ok sounds good, now do you think men will play nicely when they don’t have sexual success? What do you do when the vast majority of men give up on society? Do you have a plan to deal with the ramifications of that? The data, anecdotal and statistical, shows a decline in sexual success of men and in increase in the rate of that decline, so we’ll reach that point quicker than people think.

Yes, IQ does predict a huge amount of the variance, followed by, to a much lesser extent, trait conscientiousness. In fact I don’t know of any of my classmates from middle/high school California, in the high IQ class who make less than the median household income in the USA in our late 20s.

It’s pretty strange that this is your take. I’d argue that money is at the lowest importance it’s ever been. There’s vast amounts of research that shows an extremely high correlation between IQ and lifetime earnings. I mean, shoot, the reason I’m probably here is due to the huge sexual selection pressure for intelligence during the industrial revolution. You could have way more kids when you are smart enough and successful enough to provide for them. If you throw away the provisioning aspect, ot…

These values are based on relative economic mobility not absolute economic mobility. The comment you replied to mentioned 200k a year which isn’t even a 1% income in the USA. In low tax states like Washington that works out to 145k a year post tax. Where in the heck in Europe do you stand even a slim chance of making 145k a year post tax? excluding being an entrepreneur, which is tougher in the EU.

Oh I wholeheartedly understand. I think we tend to forget how much the difference is depending on where in the world you are. In some ways what you’re saying feels like ‘80s USA to me. Like I can’t Illustrate how little monetary success matters here on the west coast of the USA. I’m somewhere around an 85-90th percentile man, but no amount of money/succcess will bump me to 95th percentile. In fact, I think this is why my uncles second wife was from South America.

In the USA people are still wealthier, with higher income than in the past. We can debate all day about the distribution of productivity gains relative to worker’s real wages…. But in no study, do workers actually make less than they did then in absolute terms.

Most men can’t afford it at modern women’s expected standard of living. If they were ok with 1 family car, 1 meal out a year, no out of state vacations, a small house etc like in the 50s there are plenty of places in the middle of the country where an average man can.

Women’s disdain for short men is far higher than men’s dislike of tall women. I’m 5’11 and ‘maybe’ have a .5/10 preference for shorter women. That said, it tends to be the taller women who put up harder boundaries. I tend to approach taller women less because I just go off of a multiplication of odds vs attraction. Women 5’9+ tend to give me more shit than other women, when I honestly don’t care. So I approach them less since it’s more hassle, and when I do I make sure to pick them up [carry the…

Because it doesn’t matter. Every study shows that on average past about 80k, maybe double that in the most expensive places, money doesn’t bring more happiness. You combine that with the opportunity cost of making such money and it’s often a net negative. Sure you can buy some status, but the sheer amount of money you have to spend to get any benefit and without looking like a tool, just isn’t worth it this day and age unless you’re ~30 million net worth or so.

Good social skills is the ability to lead a conversation, organize a group, bring different groups of people together, integrate into any group, and the ability to make people think highly and favorably of you. Right?? I'm sure that every 13 yr old boy naturally realizes that their mother would give them incorrect, destructive, advice. Advice that wouldn't have worked on themselves. It's just so obvious!

Men won't tell you the truth if it gets in the way of their imperative. Of course I don't slut shame women who I want to get one night stands with, it would be counterproductive. I also won't discount promiscuous women, if women in my social circle would find out I suggested something of the sort. But if you don't think that I would prefer a women with a lower N count for anything serious, I don't know what to tell you. Guy's will talk about this around the boys, but its social suicide to say th…

Yes and no. The answer is that men often sleep with women for validation from other men, but sometimes we just need to get laid from a pure physical need/desire. This is why my/our standards will often drop a bit if we're in a foreign country where no-one will find out and need to get some.

They don't care. Game / social skills / looks matter stupidly more. I've done the whole sports car convertible and make 200k a year in software. It does not matter when it comes to attracting women. I often don't tell girls about my job because it often hurts more than it helps, it makes things weird and you less relatable.

A small portion of the field will get to that type of comp at top companies. 200k is one promotion at a facebook/google/apple etc. Check out levels.fyi

Men who listen to Society (Men + Women) generally end up unsuccessful. Women who listen to Society (Men + Women) generally end up successful. Women who listen only to Women, generally end up unsuccessful. Men who listen to only Men, generally end up successful.

Is it Society or other Women who tell them this? I always here women talk about how they were told to do XYZ by society, but when you break it down they are almost always listing what other women told them not men.

I mean, I know a fair number of guys who said that sort of stuff in high school in the 00s. That said hookup culture / social media wasn't quite as pervasive then.

They are all still fairly relevant as long as they're callibrated. It also matters where you are in social value; if you're high up they'll just call you an asshole move on. You only get truly called out if you mess up terribly and drop frame. In fact some of these things work better since more and more guys are worried about being called compared to the past.

It's just easier to learn game if you are a Chad. Your rejections aren't as harsh, you get access to more events, there are some genes that probably come with that help... etc, etc. But being tall and good looking doesn't guarantee good success, it just points you that way and encourages the easiest path to success.

You can tell... Not perfectly, but you can. For reference, I'm at roughly ~40 partners. I was speaking with a longtime female friend the other day who has only been with 2 men in the past 6 years. I would have pegged her at ~30 partners in college due to her behavior, description of events, willingness for intimacy etc... Naturally, she only really opened up to a guy like me, since she knows I'm quite promiscuous. She's had 50 partners. Now I don't really look down on that, because who am I to j…

That's because historically USA men have been rewarded better for focusing on the Provider and Security traits, e.g. being stronger / tougher / and richer. In Europe there is more of social safety net, capped salaries comparatively due to higher taxes, less violent crime / less perceived safety threat, and so there is more incentive to focus on style/looks historically. I'll also mention that looks plays a more important role when you see people more often in the generally more urban European ci…

Sounds like y'all need to read Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus . Men often feel responsible for fixing something, rather than just empathizing, and end up withdrawing into their cave to recharge and engage again later. Its something for both partners to work on communicating with the opposite sex.

Guys don't care for a hookup, but they absolutely do care for who they settle down with. In general, guys with high N counts care less about it, but would still be bothered if she had a higher count than us. It is hardwired into men to care about how promiscuous a woman is even some of us can desensitize ourselves to it.

Some good books on the subject: Models or Superior Man or Way of Men or Open Her or Nice Guy or Double Your Dating. The long story short is that Women want a Strong man, both mentally and physically, to lead them and to escalate the interaction with them. After enough time / experience you can start to learn the mating dance that leads to successful relations with Women. If you want a stupidly over-complicated breakdown, which often hinders people because it is too over-complicated / unnatural, …

Approaching is like working out. If you do it a lot it is just part of your routine, if not it is a momentous undertaking. There is a flip slide to this though, that if you stop approaching your anxiety will build back up over time.

I think the main thing for people who aren't too familiar with kissing is to not be too aggressive. Sometimes it works to your advantage to me more aggressive, like when its a girl you met on the dance floor who is traveling and is just looking for a quick fling, but you almost never mess it up by going slow. When you watch a teenage romcom, with a mainly target female audience, the kiss is always sweet and slow. It lets the girl anticipate and lust for more. As a guy your natural inclination is…

Yes you can. It is harder, but the most successful guy I know is 5'6 . I hung out with him most weekends for a summer when we were in college, and I counted 12 girls he slept with that summer. He is very self-assured, comfortable with himself, and he didn't try to out alpha other guys since it wasn't a game he could win. I think what also helped him a bunch, was that he would always bring the girls he met to hang out with other people / kickbacks we went to. Social proof > height.

They are just feeling your vibe, and you're probably an attractive guy but not sexual and flirty enough to trigger the 'I want to hook up with this guy' feelings. Try being more flirty and less serious. You need to have a fun playful vibe. More teasing and push pull. Try to make conversations more sexual. Most importantly make sure you are touching the girls you want to hook up. Anything you can do to touch the girl you're interested in will help you in hooking up. I'd reckon that most girls I'v…

The easiest way is building up the physical touch. Just going in for a kiss can be a pretty big jump. It certainly works sometimes, but its much easier to escalate up to it. If you have already touched her arm a bunch, grabbed her hand leading her through a crowd, given her a hug, touched her hair, touched her thigh for half a second, had your arm around her shoulder, it is much easier to kiss her. Look up the kino escalation ladder. I would start off your next date with a big hug, followed by m…

The first step would be to get a good social life with easier going people and constantly build up. Have people over at your house at least once week. Become the person who people will say 'Oh I am just going over to francoIsLit's place for pregame. I usually hangout out there most weekends'. Then when you meet new people, you can invite them to come to your kickbacks and build up a social circle that way. How to meet these new people? Join meetups. Be friends with everyone. Get people's phone n…

Everyone is giving good advice about how to handle the situation. I would also mention that a big helper is spending time around very attractive girls to help acclimatize yourself to their presence. I would highly recommend trying to friend zone some attractive girls that you don't try to go for for a couple of reasons: for the social proof, for good advice, and to be able to see their perspective on things.

I would move to NYC. It's got some of the best ratios and educated women in the country. Raleigh-Durham would probably come in a close second for me. I would advise you against west coast cities of which almost all are heavily male dominated. I grew up in San Diego, known as man diego, and can assure you that it is a tough place to game. Austin, where I currently live, is much better than San Diego but a far cry from what I've experienced when visiting NYC.

Ask yourself why you like this girl. If she is showing interest to both of you, she probably doesn't have serious feelings for either one of you. Now she might just looking for attention or she might be looking for something more serious, which she feels either one of you might be suitable for. Ask yourself if that really is the girl that you want to be the object of your affection. I'd still take a chance because you miss all the shots you don't take, but I'd be wary.

I recently graduated from a top party school and was pretty successful. Here are my recommendations: Check out the videos from the 21 convention by Francis Adams. Nick Sparks, Hshudo, and Dream also have some good college specific advice from the same source. Pick up a copy of Conquer Your Campus by Mark Redman. It has really good college advice. When you first get to college you will have a couple of weeks where it is insanely easy to talk to anyone. Use this to your advantage. You can open wit…

I think that both ways work, its just an issue of semantics. Since she was being more receptive I think your way might work a little bit better in this case. For the girls who are little bit more full of themselves, I think the idea I outlined works a little bit better.

Don't say anything until Wednesday. Shoot back with "You totally missed out, ___ was so much fun" . She'll kind of have a what the hell attitude and be slightly upset. It also shows non-neediness and that you are doing fun things. Then it should be easier to ask her to go do something else.
