What I don’t understand is WHY. or HOW. Why and how can you be so mean!

Oh you have no idea. They were sooooo proud about finally being “free from the binds of society.” I was like, is someone gonna tell them or should I?

This is the same logic that tells men women will get a loose vag from sleeping with 30 guys, but not sleeping with 1 guy 30 times. My god I’m so over this.

I actually visited a “commune” in Santa Fe years ago and the same rules applied. Women took care of cleaning and children. Men “tended the garden.” But most of the women worked in the garden too so. Dunno where the logic comes from.

Omg are you me?! This is eerily similar to what happened to me and how I found this place! Same kind of situation that ALSO happened around my birthday. I swear finding this sub has been the most life affirming thing that has ever happened to me. I love this sub and the support we give and get from it. LOVE ALL YOU QUEENS! 🖤🍒👑

Wow thanks so much for sharing this research. Definitely puts things into perspective. Do you have a source by chance? I need to put this in my knowledge bank.

I mean clearly he meant “wow” as in “wow I can’t believe how rude I was to clearly not prioritize your time or my time for that matter. You’re absolutely right in calling me out bc no, you’re not my mother, and I know my own mother would be so disappointed to see that I can’t get my shit together. So glad you’re healthy and confident enough to not put up with my bullshit. I wish you the best in life!” Edit: word missed

Oh no I know! I’m covered, haha. I’m just saying it exists out there. That’s usually my cue to exit stage left.

😭😭😭😭this is all I want! And I don’t even mean just having the money to spend on it. I mean having someone who encourages to be yourself, to learn, to enjoy your hobby without making you feel weird about it. Bc YES I have met guys who literally tease me for reading so much. I’m so confused.

My ex bought rings from Walmart and convinced me we were married spiritually after agreeing “never to fight again.” I was so love addicted that I convinced myself it was “romantic” and “creative.” Trying to laugh now but I’ll admit it’s still kinda hard to know I fell for that. But don’t worry, i didn’t stay long. ETA: last I heard about him was a few years ago when he referred to our relationship as a failed marriage.

Yeah I feel ya. Also a lot of times it’s not even a guy saying “oh I don’t like stretch marks,” it’s just the fact that some guys point it out and react immaturely to it or worse they start acting like a goddamn scientist. I went out with a guy once (literally just one date), and he went off on how women don’t really have stretch marks unless they’re breast feeding or they’re just plain overweight. Like, bruh wut? But this guy also said it’s more likely for a woman to give a man an STD instead o…

Listen, I’m all for not harming someone to begin with, but even with all of these monsters out there today, if any of them came forward owning up their mistakes and having experienced genuine change, I’d be in full support. We are not perfect, and we are raised with the errors and shame and pain of past generations. What’s not acknowledged is someone’s bravery in saying “I was wrong.”

But it’s not about taking responsibility. No woman wants to put blame on anyone else, in fact, on the contrary, a lot of these women feel responsible for the men who abuse them and this makes it even harder for them to leave. A lot of women deal with codependency and self esteem issues and have taken such a mental beating from past relationships and family that they don’t even think they’re worth a better relationship. Society certainly hasn’t helped either. Red flags or not, they probably don’t…

How about we take make terms like “pretty” and “beautiful” from the damn patriarchy and redefine it by our terms. How about for once WE decide what makes a woman pretty or beautiful instead of letting society poison off a word bc it holds women to completely unfair and unrealistic standards. I tell women they’re pretty all the time. I tell myself I’m pretty all the time. Why? Because I know life is beautiful and we are beautiful resilient creatures that have literally dealt with bullshit since t…

Yes I agree. That’s probably the only issue I have with the writing. Just bc someone is curvy doesn’t mean they’re constantly eating or can’t keep themselves from digging a donut out of the trash.

Wow. I had the same experience. My ex was so loving and affectionate I never thought twice about him touching me. Only when I was telling my therapist about it did I realize what it was as soon as it came out of my mouth. One time we went to a bookstore, and it was quiet so we were teasing each other with whispers. Then out of no where he pinches my nose so hard I actually yelped. I kid you not I thought nothing of it as I walked around looking for the book I wanted, absentmindedly rubbing my no…

Girl same. One night stands are so risky. You don’t know if they’ve been tested (don’t know to trust them if they say they are), you don’t know if you’ll get pregnant on accident etc. I hate when guys say it’s easier for women to “date” online. It’s only easy bc guys can literally fuck anything without feeling whereas women don’t give it up as fast. (Rightfully so)

OOOOOOMMMMGGGGGGGGGG I swear. For one millisecond I would love to know what it’s like to have male privilege. To be able to live without facing the consequences of my decisions. To be able to live fearlessly (mainly bc I’m the one that causes fear in other women). To be able to get away with being heartless and selfish because people will say I’m just being a guy or I’m just dark & mysterious. Actually, I change my mind. I don’t want to be like that that all.

I think what upsets me the most is the fact that she answered when she clearly didn’t want to. Who the hell is this guy that he feels like he has a right to know her personal history? I’m willing to bet she wouldn’t have shared this with him if he didn’t push judgment on her. The biggest load of bull when a guy ends a statement like “well I just was curious...but ok.” Freaking creep. Also, she’s 22. If that’s a serious red flag to this guy that she’s single at such a young age, he’s got way bigg…

Omg I was literally thinking about this the other day. I remember being a teen and never even thinking about virginity specifically. Maybe it’s just me but my only concern was getting pregnant, I never actually thought about viRgiNiTy. I almost slept with my first boyfriend without even telling him, that’s how little it mattered to me. I remember he got so offended, like how could I dare let him have this responsibility and not tell him? I could NOT understand what the issue was. Like what, you …

Omgsh YASS QUEEN! I’m a writer and a script I’m working on now addresses these abusive relationships and all the shit women have to go through. Whenever I meet a guy who works in the industry, they tell me how cute I am and “you can do it babe” and I honestly don’t think they take me seriously. I left an abusive relationship a few years ago and moved to LA with literally nothing but a suitcase full of books and shirts (who needs pants?) and I’ve been working on breaking this industry for so long…
