What if your "life" isn't the problem. I'm super confident in the workplace and just plain social situations. I have tons of friends. However, when the time comes for me to try and meet girls/make a move I just have zero confidence. To the point that I have had girls tell my friends they were interested when I wasn't perusing but as soon as I tried make something happen I some how blow it.

Haha you are in for a surprise man. Intelligent people tend to be sadder for a variety of reasons and intelligence is in no way associated with social skills. In fact a lot of them have very poor social skills because their intelligence often isolated them in their school years.
