If you have to ask this question, then your moral compass is not gonna allow this to sit easily in your mind. There’re people that are openly polyamorous, and who even have regular side chicks without their wives’ knowledge, and they can do it because their moral compass allows for it to be acceptable. For me, from a completely amoral point of view, this is going to implode in the future for you, because I think you think of it inherently as wrong and are looking to rationalise it. Personally, I…

Good boundary setting. Now just move on - you’ve got a belt that needs more notches, not to be hung up on one girl who doesn’t care about you.

Most of us get into game for validation — we want to be loved and we want attention, we’re too scared of not being wanted. So when we see someone who shows that she doesn’t want us, that activates that part of our brains that wants to do whatever it takes for her to want us. If she knows how to play the game, then she’s just squeezing you for attention. The moment you give her that attention, she goes away, because that’s all she wanted from you. She’ll do whatever it takes to keep you around fo…

Yeah you don’t wanna be around any girl who can have that kind of effect on you. The goal psychologically is for you to be such a rock that no girl in the world can affect your mental peace.

Thanks for the help, really appreciate it. I'm glad to say I don't snack, if I get fast food, I don't get the liquid calories, and I've been in a calorie deficit for the best part of the last 2 months. 2 big things I can change -- I've started eating massive protein-only meals, so adding a very slight amount of carbs there (while keeping to my new limit of 20g per day) might help, and I eat till I *feel* full (even though it's within the calorie deficit limit, it's a good mental model to change)…

Okay. My city and state are under lockdown for the next 2 weeks. Until then, I do bodyweight. I've identified a squat rack, barbell and free weights after reading what you said. The day they open the city up, I'm getting all of those things for my home, and starting with compound lifts. Today I'm starting to hit a protein goal of 160 grams per day. I'm also starting to focus on the < 20 grams of carbs. I've been off processed sugar for just under 2 months, stopped eating fruits a couple of weeks…

You’re absolutely right. The more I do this, the more I see every single thing I’m doing intertwined with the other. NMMNG, WISNIFG, Never split the difference, stoic practice, even physical fitness all seem to tie in. If there’s one thing I’ve understood, it’s that this process is in no way linear. Tiny steps on all fronts are leading to changes that are imperceptible in the short term but surely massive in the long run. Thanks a lot for taking out time to help me out man. Really appreciate it.

It comes in waves. At first, I thought my parents were the problem, so I moved away from them. The problem didn't go away. I'd work on NMMNG exercises, WISNIFG assertive techniques, stronglifts, keto regimens, and I would crash and burn while I was living with them. When I moved out, I thought just being away from their over-controlling, privacy disregarding, critical and overbearing presence would miraculously change everything. It didn't. I still kept self-sabotaging. I became desperate and ho…

Man, the way you know me, it's as if you've been there the last 30 years of my life. Point taken. I'm starting bodyweight exercises today. I will set up weights at home as soon as I can. I've also started increasing protein intake since I saw your comment. I'm targeting 20-gram increments per week so that it's sustainable. I've made drastic changes and crashed (self-sabotaged?) too many times.

Precisely. The source of the problem IS me. The last few weeks with MRP and OYS have been like going back to first principles. If every woman in my life seems cunty, it’s a result of me subconsciously seeking to replicate that kind of relationship. No matter what I’m capable of, if my compass is dependent only on others placing their own magnets around it, the destination will always be a let-down. This is why I think the first thing has to be to fix that compass and remove those stupid magnets …

Dude. Thank you. You’ve potentially saved me from months of “progress” in the wrong direction. Let me see if I’ve got your point right. Instead of being a glue-sniffing STFU/no-for-everything frame denier, I have to become a frame-builder. I can start doing that by applying the principles of WISNIFG (to internalise assertiveness and self-drivenness, and use fogging, negative inquiry and negative assertion) to truly assert my autonomy.

Wow I’m definitely getting that book and reading up. Thanks! I had resigned myself to thinking about doing any kind of physical work only after shedding the fat. Your direction about 150 -200 grams is now my final protein goal — I’m trying to slowly build my protein levels up.

I’ve been tracking protein intake, it’s awfully low for what I need. Over the last 7 days, I’ve clocked an average of 71 grams (14%) per day. Last I checked, I weighed 230 lbs with 31% body fat. Not lifting right now because of a severe back spasm i get every time I do even body weight exercises. I’m doing intermittent fasting (16 hours per day), calorie cutting and targeting a macro ratio of 50C-30F-20P as my first goal.

You’re her orbiter, her next branch just in case. I’d say only text for logistics, game her in person, check for IOIs, escalate physically. If it works it’s on. If not then disqualify as a sexual opportunity and move on. Edit - She’s extending beta bait to keep you hooked. You might even get nudes, but unless you F-close first, they don’t count.

Look, you’re gonna have struggle either way. You live with your parents and deal with their BS every day until you have enough money to move out, or you get a minimum wage job, a shitty apartment, no car, and struggle to pay rent. “Struggle more for no good reason”. The day you think your autonomy is more important than their car, you’ll move out. No matter what the cost. I’ve been in your boat. I’ve made the exact same choice you’re currently making. Then I got out. I got out because I had a kid (just under a year ago) and I realised there was NO WAY I was exposing my child to my parents. Standard RP advice would say demote her from LTR. I’m just looking at the facts of your LTR - she doesn’t have enough respect, and it looks like you’re in her frame. Keeping that in mind, you have two options — Leave her and work on your intrinsic value so that the next girl you get with enters and stays in your frame; Work on your inner and outer game while staying in this LTR, go through the levels of dread and give her a shot at entering your frame before you hard next. You’ll make progress 1…

Just go out and lift. Take ALL your anger/sadness/emotion out on the weights. Go to places that have interesting women. Seek rejection. Push the boundaries so that you’re always trying something new. The moment you have a couple of good interactions with them, you’ll realise you don’t care about your last relationship as much.

You don’t get into an LTR for consistent sex. She earns the LTR from you through consistent sex. Honestly, if you’re high enough SMV, you’ll get consistent sex from any girl you pick without the relationship BS that you need to get into with an LTR. Work on your game so that you can increase your conversion rate. Your progression HAS to be - ONS -> Plate -> LTR. Ideally spin enough plates to organically build your abundance mindset. I have given this a lot of thought, but for the life of me, I am not able to figure out the true picture of who I am. I have done all the breaking free exercises in NMMNG, I have tried putting myself in uncomfortable situations to see how I react, and if it expands my horizons. Yet, I am not able to pinpoint exactly WHY I do what I do, and what my deepest motivating factors are.

Makes sense.. Focus on one part of life and make small, slow changes that then progress as it becomes automatic. I've experienced making sweeping drastic changes that then make me hit a wall with burnout and slide all the way back down.

Yeah I don’t have a proper long term vision. I do have a vision which is the most generic thing ever — Ferrari, big house on the beach, harem of girls, most influential man on earth yada yada yada. I really appreciate your advice. What do you think of one challenge at a time? Mostly lately My only challenge has been to hit my monthly income target so that I can make my payments. I can take those challenges out into the non-financial realm, and maybe that can be my motivation.

So the problem for me is, even with well-defined goals cut up into weekly checkpoints and daily actions, the moment I make some tangible progress, I get content, relax, and rebound. Then i slide back to some intolerable level, where I then start working until I hit that first milestone --- rinse and repeat. It's frustrating.

Thanks for the suggestion.. My one experience with a mind doctor has been quite bad, she made me confront my dad 10 minutes into the session and the whole thing turned into a massive pile of virtue signalling and deepening of my toxic shame by him. My advice - keep reading the sidebar and internalising it. If you do one thing about TRP everyday, it’s reading the sidebar. Read The Rational Male cover to cover, get into Monk Mode. Do all this shit, and apart from it, do what your gut says with the girl. Best case scenario - you learn enough to be able to handle her well. Worst case scenario - she fucks around on you, and you learn from experience. IMO you’re still to learn that a girl’s just one of the things you do. If you respect and value…

Something basic about spinning plates that I’ve had to keep reminding myself - it’s only spinning plates if there’s an (unspoken) understanding that you aren’t in an exclusive relationship. If you’re fucking other women and your wife doesn’t know, that’s basically cheating. The way that translates to your own life, is that you aren’t really being honest with yourself (in thought and action) about the lifestyle you want. You need to sit down and have a long hard look at yourself, and think - “wha…

It’s a great tool for creating a smokescreen.

I'm halfway through No More Mr. Nice Guy. I've started taking better care of myself in many ways. I've found safe people to talk to about my progress, and I'm consciously working on NOT avoiding disapproval from women. I've started putting my needs before those of anyone else. My goal is to be done with devouring NMMNG by midweek next week. Not working on ANYTHING else while I finish this, apart from maintaining a calorie deficit every day.
