I'm in a pretty similar situation to you, it sounds though like your main issue is location - I assume you aren't in a city based on seeing the same matches multiple times. I AM in a city and I'm not finding relationships, but plenty of dates and some hookups. Also want to add that a lot of people don't view these first meet ups as dates at all. Touching and getting comfy is always accepted, I've found, but not always are they in the mindset at that point to want to kiss. Maybe just who I'm matching with but that's my 2 cents

Right but this is essentially saying the same thing. She didn't directly mentor him, but she caused him to look within himself, and grow and learn on his own. If she hadn't left from under the tree, then it may have ended in simply just a rejection or acceptance, and their lives would have moved on rather uneventfully. As an individual that unfortunately had no context for determining how to "date", your OP and this comment is extremely helpful. I've had a couple of girlfriends, but it was all physical only - we never got to know each other really. The setting was very conservative as well, so in most situations, that physicality was missing. I'm no master of game yet, but in the situation you mention at the end, I would take an alpha stance on the matter and put the blame of self control on her. For instance "You're not very good at keeping your hands to yourself, so I can't make any guarantees." Something like that. Feel free to tear that apart as I'm still a novice, but in the moment that's what I probably would have said.

Good chap, don't worry about mirroring, I'm not going to delete it. I'm responsible for my downvotes and the public attention I draw with them when I post them like this.
