The problem is, the current system (Reserve-backed Capitalism) doesn't play well with a Democratic values - most countries now use a system that prints currency based on no real value, and we have seen the results, quite plainly. Realistically, a different system needs to be found.

Debt bondage is a very real thing. Just because it is reframed as the norm in society doesn't mean taking a line of credit is any different. I'm not disputing that they can do their part, I'm saying there are possibly more suited jobs out there for women. I would argue that catering (as a waiter) especially for large functions is more of a man's job (physically demanding) however women are very present in these physically demanding jobs, and can't always maintain the same level of productivity as men. Not nearly on the same level as men can. The tables used for catering, for instance are often massive things made of wood and steel. An unstrong woman would definitely be unable to move this, or perhaps she could manage to drag it slowly across the floor. In the case of the catering, women are often told not to do heavy lifting (this depends on the catering company) or are given easier tasks.

I work in catering, which means that there is frequently heavy lifting to be done, notably at the end of a function. During this time, the guys are lifting hundreds (sometimes thousands ) of chairs, tables, crates, rubbish ...while the girls mill around talking amongst each other. They are paid the same amount as the guys who are sweating their asses off - for talking.
