at some point there needs to be accountability - effectively they're participating in a structure that grooms a new generation of young girls and women. There are things bigger than trying to "get dat bag"

Hate to say it, but the only way the impacts of porn would stick if it were to revolve around their penis, decreased sexual libido, or Peyronies 🤢 it seems very difficult for men to empathize with women tbh

Lol I def have a story to share about this. When I was 15 I had a driving instructor (male) and I was full face makeup. He was nice and encouraging, and had me stop at a Starbucks and bought me a drink even when I said no thank you. One year later I return and am not wearing makeup. He is discernably rude and yells at me while driving (even tho I’m better than I was at 15). He has me stop at a Starbucks and goes in without offering anything, just wordless. I was 16 when I figured out how men tre…

"The most dangerous period of a women's life is when she is pregnant." In school, we are taught that pregnant women should be thought of similarly to immunocompromised patients. Quite literally, her body is more at risk for infections, diseases, etc., since her body cannot defend against infections the same way. If you think about it, there's great benefit to glossing over the dangers of pregnancy in public health and school mandated education - more bodies are always needed.

ladies please beware! The same type of thing goes on on 4chan boards, where anonymous users violently fantasize and trade pics of women they have nudes from. Sometimes they will post her pics side by side with the women's private information. Even if you don't have any nudes, they will take your regular photos from facebook or instagram or linkedin (had this happen to me) and pretend to have naked pics and write disgusting and depraved fiction about how you deserve to be destroyed and gangraped.…

especially with 3 kids! how many times has she begged or asked him to help out?! also the fact that now he's so concerned about his babies not having a nuclear family 🙄 makes me wonder how present he actually is if he's not helping out with a lot of tasks hmm

When I was in high school, a boy who liked me folded me 1,000 cranes, and we weren’t even dating. If he wanted to, he would. My current bf for our first anniversary bought me the purse I’ve been wanting, took me out to a fancy dinner, and bought me flowers and cakes. We also do monthiversaries (yes we are extra) where he does something particularly thoughtful - whether it be recording me a song, poetry, small gifts.

girl idk if you still remember the article but drop the link!! for me my dream for fds is to curate scientific articles/literature benefiting women (sex trafficking statistics, domestic division of labor, marriage inequality), would like to add to that if possible :)

YES. I’ll use this as opportunity to gloat ;) thick head full of soft hair, towering, beautiful perfect skin dotted with freckles, a strong body where he can lift me up or give me a shoulder ride without getting tired… it’s truly such a quality of life improvement to have this gorgeous man in my life! I love looking at him, and watching him do anything brings me such pleasure. Not to mention he’s just as beautiful on the inside as out - generous, heart of gold, curious, genuinely altruistic and …

im currently in med school and one of the first things they taught us in clinical care is that if a man comes in because "his wife kept nagging him to do so," it is usually a sign of something serious. Also taught us to probe when you talk to them as they will not immediately reveal what they're here for. This is not even a unique experience, I just saw it on hot on the med school subreddit lol. honestly so exhausting when you can't even take accountability for your own health

Imo you should approach it in good faith - assuming you vetted well and you're going on a date with a perceived good guy he will want to take care of the bill. don't ask before and just spend the date on vetting him more

There was a post on a popular dating subreddit where they’ve been seeing each other for almost a year and the guy had to look up how to spell her (popular) name lol 🙄the comments and “advice” is full of people making excuses for the guy and gaslighting her saying it’s not important and you can make “red flags out of everything” god help us

OLD can be a valuable resource! You just need to thoroughly vet just as you do in real life.

I know this goes against the grain but I'm going to add a voice for the ladies who are too hesitant to speak up - I met my current SO on OLD. This was pre-FDS and I attribute it to blind luck because my previous years of using OLD only led to men who sucked the lifeline out of me. Initial green flags included letting me know he was deleting dating apps and not talking to anyone else the first day we began chatting (facetime), and putting his energy towards courting me only. Edit: I wanted to add…

Saying he has bad memory, hence giving him an excuse to rely on when he forgets days or holidays. If he passed high school and can remember the dates in his history class, he can remember your anniversary or birthday. Being way too chummy with friends you introduce them to - could be the beginnings of their attempts at triangulation lol playing dEviLs adVoCaTe under the guise of being "logical" and "rational"

word. yesterday my mom was showing me how impressed she was by her ex-boss' flower arrangements (literally just two types of flowers in a vase) - also he's 70 years old and dating a 30 year old lolololol. THE BAR IS SO LOW

it's really sad how a thread like that pops up on ask reddit every few weeks, but guys who read it don't really care. despite the horror stories, the awful conditions, the trafficking, they just continue on. i wish they could view us as human

Not worth it girl. I dated a guy where he was wonderful in other ways, but his feminine high pitched voice proved to be a deal breaker for me. If you have such a visceral reaction to it now I personally don't think it could work for the long term.

Hi everyone. Wanted to get your thoughts. My bf and I are in a LDR and he told me about this pickmeisha who was trying to come on to him (ie - saying all her male friends want to sleep with her, no concern for boundaries). Obviously I'm still vetting him and evaluating his story with a grain of salt. However, he told me immediately the night of, told me he made his boundaries clear to her, refused her add on social media, and no longer attends events in which she is there. I'm moving to his area…

on naming your emotions - one thing that really helped me and my anxiety is naming how you feel and lean into the emotion. When you're stressed - you can describe how your face is feeling hot and warm, your heart is beating faster, etc... It really helps you control your emotions :) best of luck

I don't know if these are obscure, but: Frat guys in social frats who have benefited from the exploitation of women (directly or indirectly). Men who are only children. Men without a strong female role model in their life, whether it be a sister (who is not a pickme and embodies FDS values), mother, grandmother etc. 4.Claims to be logical when in reality they lack empathy and have low EQ

Yes yes yes! I was a 19 year old fresh in college and was pursued by this 33 year old who was so accomplished in the career I wanted (and was accepted into school for this year :) ). Now all I do when I think back is that he was basically leaning into pedophile territory and I will never ever again think age gap relationships are ever appropriate.
