Not here, but defending FDS in other subs got me the care message. People are pathetic.

Oh my god you described my friend to a T.

OP the guy in this video is also a member of the armed forces. If he is this lazy in an actual dangerous situation like a tornado, imagine how awful he is at his job. He’s pathetic and the wife deserves better, but she will probably stay as the tale as old as time says. He’s pathetic.

Im similar to you. I just craved male attention and felt like I was worthless without it. Didn’t realize until I found FDS that I kept going for these lowlife losers who made me feel worse about myself. So I guess FDS helped me see the light.

I’ve got another example to add on. My grandma is also a boomer and between both of her marriages, they were both awful LVM and treated her like shit. Her son from her second marriage is an absolute asshole to his wife and she finds reasons to justify and minimize his actions- it’s disgusting.

The new content from Red was still written when she was 20-22, so we can't judge her on that. We all made mistakes before finding FDS. I appreciate that she's making a note that the age difference was fucking weird.

I have the same-ish issue with one of my friends. She and her husband often participate in threesomes with women (and only women, bc they guy refuses to let her have sex with another guy-shocking). She’s been on this kick lately where she makes fun of me and my boyfriend calling each other a nickname and goes “don’t talk to other girrrrls!” Like all mockingly. I’ve never specifically said that to him, I’ve only ever answered her questions about monogamy and what my boundaries are. My boyfriend h…

With my last LVM, it was years of shit piling on top of itself that finally made me just grossed out by him. Between the unwashed ass, shit attitude, lack ability to hold down a job, and awful dental hygiene, I just had enough. After him, when I was dating casually, the ick showed itself really quick over comments that resembled negging or a lack of texting. My threshold for tolerating shit is so low, my boyfriend now knows my limits and that I will leave if he decides to slack on a number of th…

Embarrassingly enough, I’ll tell this story. I cannot believe the amount of shit I put up with for this guy, but as hard as the lesson was to learn, I learned it and I’m NEVER dealing with a LVM again. When I first met this guy, he seemed fine. He was British so maybe I was just naive as time went on… but as the years went on, his dental health deteriorated. He had plaque stuck on the gums of his top teeth. And i mean it looked like he ate bread and it just never got unstuck there. I gently trie…

Would absolutely love that. I’m sure I could save quite a few girls from heartache for dealing with my exes.

They used to have a “review your exes” website. That shit was amazing. Wish it wasn’t gone to help women avoid scumbags.

You’re way too cute to be with a douche bag who cheats on you. Go and have fun and don’t tie yourself down in these god-awful relationships that do nothing but hold you back. You’re so much better than those scrubs and you have so much time to just enjoy your youth to the fullest.

Thankfully most people on that post were wise to the age gap and agreed he is a predator (not always the case with public opinion, unfortunately). The girl is so brainwashed she commented “well I mean, I’m an adult.” Ya honey, I’m sure that’s what he lured you in with. But you’re not mature mentally and he’s exploiting that to get you to do shit you don’t want. And you’re not sticking up for yourself and looking through a mature brain to realize you’re being manipulated and that’s why this older…

How this guy’s thought process is not common sense to most people is beyond me and it’s fucking depressing. The fact that women will continue to get blamed for some fucking scrub’s actions is WRONG. How can people not see that?! How are we still THIS BEHIND in society?!?!?

Given the recent tragedy in the UK, I totally understand how you feel. The amount of people blaming women for this psychopathic asshole’s actions is frightening and infuriating. It’s definitely a societal thing, but I can’t say for sure which came first, the chicken or the egg. I feel safer knowing that there are other women who feel how I feel about trying to weed through the sea of guys who will take advantage of you for the right one or going it alone. It also gives me hope that other women o…

Once I was on an empty tram on my way into work and some guy sat down directly across from me. Annoyed, I got up and moved to the opposite side of the cab. He followed. I got up again, huffed and moved back to the front. He followed again. This happened 5 times before he finally stopped. This was in broad daylight in the beginning of the pandemic and I was absolutely livid he couldn’t respect my space EVEN WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING IN PLACE. 😡

Had a similar experience walking to a bus stop after bonfire night one year. I had just split from my group and was walking with a larger crowd toward the main road and some dude just started harassing me with “hi how are you?” And I just ignored him and put my phone to my face like I was talking. He said “I know no ones on the phone” and I said “then why are you still trying?” And just kept walking faster to avoid him. I got away from him by walking diagonal through the crowd but it’s just so f…

I bet I’m considered the crazy ex of my last relationship. Because, you know... trickle truthing and lying constantly, as well as cheating really does that to a person. I had to explain to my exes friends the amount of shit I went through with him and their eyes opened because he just distorts the truth or stays silent when he knows they’d look at him wrong. I had multiple reasons for not believing he was where he said he was. Found out he lied to them about a lot of shit as well. Funny how I’ve…

God some of these posts are just triggering old memories of deal with my LV ex. He’d do this shit when walking and it would always confuse me and hurt me. After I found out he was cheating it was like “oh did you not want girls to see us together?” God he was such a pile of shit. Sometimes I would walk slower just to see how far ahead he’d get and he would get a good distance. Fuck ‘em. And he had an unwashed ass so I mean good luck to the next lady.

Ohhhhh god are you describing an ex-friend of mine or *what*. She surrounds herself with incels (despite being married) because they lather her with attention, they treat other females around her like shit, have disgusting misogynistic views they express and make her feel like her only value is in the way she looks despite them being disgusting assholes in both the looks and personality departments. Her husband treats her like shit and calls her a dumb broad and fat, shames her for her dreams an…

Eh I don’t know about the publicity side of it. It may have also been Harry knowing what a shit person piers is (he’s hacked into voicemail boxes for Christ’s sake to get information) and knowing if Meghan stayed friendly with him it may have meant he would leak anything to the press because he’s a slime ball.

oh my god- PREACH sister! I've told the story before about an overweight and frankly ugly coworker would harshly judge women he would go on dates with and I had to call him out on the fact that he has absolutely no room to talk about how wide a girls hips were when I bet his were just as wide. He's ended up with a total pickme with low self esteem who treats him like a king and he does the bare minimum. Its sad to watch. I've never been skinny, but I wouldn't classify myself as "fat." I've alway…

Ooooo I have a story about a douche similar to this. Last year we went on a date, he said it was his first time going on a date in 7 years (I really should have picked up on that. He of course had bagged over 30 girls in bed though 🙄) So the date went lovely- we got on really well, had great chemistry, he brought up wanting to find someone to settle down with. Everything was cool. Then he decided to say he had such a great time but he’s nervous about dating after so long and that I’m not his gen…

My ex would pull this shit on me all the time. It was like prior occasions didn’t matter when I was pointing out how consistent the behavior in question was. He took it as me making things personal and start attacking me for unrelated issues in retaliation. God he was such a trash partner.

This can go both ways. As an American who lived in Europe for a few years (specifically UK), I found so many parents coddle their children well into their 20s. I think this is just something that happens everywhere, unfortunately.

Not this exactly but I have a similar mindset. I try to be my most authentic self (as in, what he would see if we lived together) as early as possible in a relationship. If a man cannot love me at my most comfortable or even emotional, he doesn’t deserve me at my best. It weeds out the ones who are just there for a hookup real quick. I think it also plays into testing a man to see how he handles situations, which I didn’t do any of the times I wound up with LVM. Test, test, test ladies. I cannot…

Ladies, it’s taken my years of being sexually active and a few boyfriends and flings for me to finally realize what respectful, intimate sex feels like. My current boyfriend is the only guy to ever make me feel cherished and loved when having sex and not used, and it’s a game changer. He prefers missionary or positions where he can give me affection over doggie. I was starting to believe that there just aren’t men out there that appreciate intimacy and affection in the bedroom. Don’t get me wron…

This almost sounds exactly like my situation and let me tell you- it feels so much better on the other side of it. No longer looking after a man child who can’t get his shit together and you can’t trust them and their empty promises. You’re so much better for leaving and you’re going to be so happy with that dead weight off you, girl! Chin up! You’re doing what’s best for you and your future. The best is yet to come.

Once knew a guy at work that was very overweight- I’m talking massive belly, struggles to breathe normally when still, etc. He was funny, but not really doing himself any favors in the looks department. He was struggling to find a steady girlfriend, so he went on a date with a girl he met on tinder. I saw pics prior and she was really pretty, and I asked how it went. “She was nice, but her hips were too big. It grossed me out.” I gave him the deadest look and said “joe.... you are not one to jud…

Couldn't have said it better myself. Went out with a guy for about a month, everything was practically perfect... until it wasn't. I saw glimpses of the nastiness he could create and I bolted. He got upset and started going on about how heartbreaking it was that I wasn't "fighting for us" and that "everyone abandons him." Us? Less than a month? Thank you, NEXT. Glad he showed his ass sooner than later.

Women do it all the time. It’s just that now men have an example on the importance of sticking together on nights out and looking out for one another. It’s not that hard to make sure your friend doesn’t wander off once you’re used to that mindset. It’s even more easier once you understand there are risks out there so you’ll not be prone to get incredibly wasted.
