Just to spite them, I think we should all turn out opening weekend. The 355 comes out January 15-17, 2021 #SaveTheDate

I like what I see but I think the blog posts could be edited more. For example, I saw an "entitled" where the author clearly meant "obliged" or a similar word that is nearly the opposite of entitled.

Another thing is that even if he means well, it can be a lot of pressure. A guy once invited me to join him and his friends for badminton (he knew I loved the sport but missed playing due to an injury) after we'd only been on one date. Well, I quickly discovered the discomfort of getting side hugs from an almost complete stranger in front of other strangers. Especially when the guy friends were kind of awkward and weird and the platonic girl friend was being kind of arm's length in a way that hi…

I want to add something. In a healthy relationship, it's natural for people to grow and change together in certain ways, so if a man ever shows signs of balking at any hint of any change and tries to tell you it's unhealthy, he is not actually more emotionally intelligent than one who tries to change you, he is being Peter Pan. There are a couple critical differences between ok changes and not ok changes. The mechanism. Is he adjusting a behavior because he cares how his behavior makes you feel?…

Recommended reading, The Defining Decade, Meg Jay I wouldn't set a hard ban on dating, because statistically speaking, reducing search time reduces your chances of finding what you're looking for, but I would take a break, and maybe delete your Tinder profile since I'm imagining that you would be bombarded with notifications if you didn't.

I feel you. I was apparently raised on mattress toppers and fitted sheets only, and when I read the comments, I started wondering if the terrycloth blanket I started using over the fitted sheet would count as a flat sheet substitute.

There is an unattractive asian guy that I know that I have long suspected of having a learning disability, and he is married to a white woman. So I don't know what this guy is talking about, "asian guys are stuck with asian girls," that's horseshit. The truth is that he can't be bothered to be nice to one of the white pickmes available. And back in high school, I knew an asian boy who was being chased by a white girl, and he was single-mindedly chasing an asian girl that he was convinced was the…

A lot of online articles talk about some study where people who managed to find SOs online were happier than people who met their SOs under conventional means.

The stickers are seriously annoying. It's so obvious that he's nursing his hurt ego for all his "LALALALALA I DON'T CARE ANY MORE, HA HA HA, LA LA LA" attitude. Even if you did do something hurtful, it's important that he be able to be vulnerable with you about it, and the fact that he isn't doing that shows that he isn't relationship material.

Don't post selfies, period. Never try to prove yourself or explain anything if you don't have to. This applies to everything: If some scummy person talks behind your back, you shouldn't have to prove yourself to your friends or SO—trade up for ones with better judgment in who they listen to. If you screw up at work, apologize and take responsibility without making excuses.

I had a military roommate once and he was untidy and passive-aggressive, and often late on payments. He yelled at our other roommate's friend for going onto our driveway without checking out the situation, because if he had just stopped to observe a moment, he would have seen they were just there to drop off our roommate. He only acted friendly when his girlfriend was visiting.

I don't agree that there's a fine line between treating someone well because you like them versus being insecure and desperate. This guy is trying to get validation out of you. By making comments about being boring and asking what he did to scare you off, he wants to hear you say something like, "Oh, no, you're not boring at all." Notice that these comments and questions steer the conversation towards talking about him and away from other topics. He could've said something like, "Busy day?" "You…

Oh, they'll fetishize and marry asian women, but they expect the asian women to be extra servile and magically retain their youthful complexions with asian girl magic as opposed to expensive asian skin care.

I started watching myself and what I got out of it was that a lot of good people would not have been killed if only 1) the king had not been a chauvinist asshat and 2) the queen had come up with any solution that was not turning to her brother for incest. Also the show has really hard-ass female characters. Obviously we have • Dany, mother of dragons, but we also have • Cersei who had that whole "knowledge is not power, POWER is power" scene when she flexes on Littlefinger, hard, for getting coc…

Cat guys can be self-absorbed and particular, though. I disqualified a cat guy for taking it as a personal attack when I said I didn't listen to an artist he liked. Cat guys might be more likely to respect physical personal space, but I guess since cats don't disagree with their owners on tastes and opinions, cat guys don't necessarily learn that as well.

Yeah. I don't think this is by a pickme ("Juan") and the "sex is great but" meme usually ends with something that's very left field so I would think a date wasn't what he had in mind when he wrote this.

I'm pretty inexperienced now but I was even more inexperienced when I met my ex. After we'd been dating for a bit and went "exclusive", one of my GUY friends explained to me that my ex should have properly asked me to be his girlfriend. The boyfriend label is really not a big deal so if a guy is reluctant to call himself my boyfriend, he's being stupid. This means that dudes know what they should be doing, they're just being immature because they think they can get away with it.

As someone who has been the female friend that was the suppressed crush, I think one red flag is if he's always bringing her up. My guess is that because my friend had latent feelings for me, the feelings he had for me triggered him to think of me and therefore he mentioned me to her a lot (and vice versa, which is how I figured out when he was telling a girl about me). This isn't necessarily a reason to break up if he's not totally aware of these feelings and is willing to distance himself from…

squints, shading eyes with a hand, and looks all around I'm sorry, I can't find the part where you describe what wrong you're going to do to somebody. Girl, are you trolling? If I were his boss and he did this shit at work, I would've processed his termination at least a month ago. He keeps violating his social contract with you to be where he says he's gonna be when he says he's gonna be there. Doing people wrong… you know that implies that he did his part, right? Which he didn't, he keeps drop…

It's not always a response, sometimes I just have a bunch of feelings or thoughts I want to express spontaneously using a lot of words and that seems to be something I inherited from my dad. But the same deal applies, if the guy wants to understand you, just open with one short thought and if he values you, he'll listen, engage, and seek to understand you through further conversation. If he doesn't care, he won't, and now you know where he stands.

Idk about other ladies but my answer is that I DO get to that place of immense regret. The first guy I semi-seriously dated, I knew he was an ugly asshole, and I knew I only weakened against him because 1) he was persistent and 2) I thought I was an asshole and didn't want to drag down a truly nice guy. After I confronted him about ending things, the emotional backlash was like being hit with a freight train, I had NO idea I had this amount of feelings for him because, well, he was unattractive …

I think that's one of the reasons I felt uncertain about my ex and broke up with him. I'm very used to my guy friends listening to my family problems or dating stuff and helping me explore them, warning me about people they thought were fake, and checking in to make sure I'm okay, and it's a 2-way street, while my ex was like a decent listener but never seemed to really have deeper thoughts to share, kind of hands off.

Eugh! I had my share of LVM friends but they were always sympathetic listeners—the LV traits were instead stuff like unwanted physical contact (surprise hugs), lying to try to impress me (told 12/13 year old me he had a pet owl, said his brother shared his yahoo messenger and pretended to be him sometimes), and being bitter when they didn't get their way (he didn't like the way a TA answered his question and called her names behind her back)

My experience was that pickme culture was the real problem. Girl A quarrels with Girl B because her crush likes Girl B even though Girl B doesn't even reciprocate his feelings. That illogical targeting is because Girl A has bought in to being a pickme. Ergo drama, and now the people I used to hang out with don't hang out with each other any more. Girl C latches onto me because I'm in the same club as her crush because she wants to tell me how much his eyes sparkle, she wants me to agree that his…

Honesty has nothing to do with being LGBTQ+. She's not saying he's not gay, she's saying that he completely blindsided her and now he's throwing her and her reputation under the bus because his ego can't handle criticism.

Yeah! 'cause people who are actually nice have a mindset that they have to work on being nicer. People who think they're already nice enough don't work on themselves.

I listed some of my "unappealing" traits and stated that I was only on the app to read bios for fun (not for matches), and advised readers not to spend in-app currency trying to match with me. I think he for some reason thought I was trying to be sarcastic for attention. I dunno, girl, it was just really unexpected and weird.
