The first know instance of this was a polaroid photograph of a note passed in alegbra class attempting to negotiate the sale of one of these.

I understand that my narrative would leave you to believe that I'm faulting women indiscriminately. I did not say that and it isn't what I think. I think you are seeking to blame and accuse. You seem to be blaming and accusing society at large and ideas that are dangerous and all that. Still, my point stands. if you’re not receiving this message, this message isn’t for you. Is basically like saying, "If you don't agree with me, your opinion is worthless." Why even post this if you think this way…

Now if there's anything you'd like to talk on the topic I would be more than happy to do it any style you want. I am saying that your perception of these other subreddits is likely incorrect. Seeing as you have just proven yourself wont to hysterics, this is likely the reason your ideas have been squelched. Because your delivery needs work. I have never felt this in TBP and I often go agaisnt the grain. I disagree with every idea you seem to ascribe to BPers. Hell, I was banned from /r/againstme…

This story of yours is no surprise to me. If you go to the community of SJWs on tumblr, you will find women with terrible, heart wrenching stories of atrocities committed on them by men. This has caused them to see the entire world through the lens of that pain. They see our country as having a "rape culture" and they see men as being encouraged to be violent towards and hate women. They are not lying, nor are you. But you are all wrong. You have let your pain turn you into a self-obsessed perso…

By "welcome in a sub" I mean that your presence is tolerated and the subscribers of that subreddit are willing to engage you on a topic instead of telling you to leave. If you actually are interested in challenging beliefs and debating systems, you should probably dispense with the histrionics.

Not really because it isn't a biconditional. It doesn't move the other way. If modern women are not being socially constructed to be submissive to men that doesn't imply that modern men are being socially constructed to be submissive to women. You can have one without the other. But TRP isn't about that.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/14 04:55 PM

There is a single drop of truth in that statement. RP also rails against women being socially constructed to not be submissive to men. That's the bit that sticks in my craw.

While I am sure it isn't true of everybody on TRP, we do see TRP say things that make it clear that the author is a virgin. Like the used condom falling out of the girls skirt that informs the BP page title at the moment.

We aren't really a side. We don't have a theory of the world. But I do think TBP is a bit too trigger happy in painting some stuff from RP as insane. There are some very unfair interpretations of some of the things said on TRP.

/u/redpillschool [-14] was always debating, and actually tried. I never attacked him or got into a debate with him where either of us had a comment deleted. I never personally felt he needed to be banned based on my interactions with him. I wouldn't be at all upset if he were reinstated. I wouldn't be happy, either and I don't miss him. That it is appropriate that males of equal strength to females are unfit to fulfill the same tasks? Do you not see how, in the case I described, the woman did demonstrate herself to be superior to the man in other ways, despite the fact that they have the same strength? I really, really, really depends on the reason for the physical fitness requirements. I can not speak to the reasons or even what a military needs from its people. For instance, I do think it is dead easy for a woman to have a lo…

I am saying that calling it "SMV" or "attractive" do an equal job of implying this. Being attractive means that your chances of hooking up with any given person is greater than the chance a less attractive person has of hooking up with any given person. The fact that this, in turn, means that people who are themselves more attractive are now more available to you is a consequence of the fact that all manner of people are more available to you when you are more attractive than are available to yo…

Is it a valid argument to make to an male that they are unfit for being a cook or mechanic, even though women can, because he only can perform similarly to those women? Yes, because in this case the assumption is that the physical ability isn't the thing being required. If you can assume it would require X amount of will and determination for a woman to do 2 pull ups and X amount of will and determination for a man to do 20 pull ups, the different requirements are not actually different, especia…

And that point is, the more attractive you are, the more attractive are the people you'll get to date But you don't need "SMV" for that. That is already what "attractive" means. BY calling it SMV, you are doing no better at conveying the idea that being attractive means that you will attract more people becasue your ability to attract is good because that is how we define the word attractive. It's also a welcome counterpoint to the fuzzy egalitarianism that sometimes pervades more feminist viewp…

I am not talking about men who who say they are straight with certainty. I am sure they abound. I am talking about men not doing things that seem 'gay'. It seems like it is scary for guys to do things that seem 'gay', not just for fear of defying social norms but that it is deeply disconcerting. If a guy does something that could be construed as gay or bi, he is more likely to question his seuxality than a woman in the same situation.

It really, really depends to me on what the purpose of the physical requirements is. If the requirements exist becuase the Marines determined that they were much better off if they could each do 20 pull ups then the double standard is wrong. If the requirements exist becuse the Marines determined that they want each marine to be in good or excellent physical condition, then it isn't a double standard. There is a measurable correlation between having testosterone levels inside of a certain window and hiving high intelligence. That doesn't mean that your intelligence is decided by testosterone levels. Your intelligence, and bone structure, is decided mostly by genetics. Hormones just have a measurable effect.

Okay, so, it seems to me that higher divorce rate isn't your reason for not wanting a woman with a high partner count . There was actually a guy who called into his podcast show a couple of weeks ago saying he is bisexual but he doesn't understand why he never wants to date or have sex with men. It's no wonder Dan thinks straight men are confused about what being a straight man is. I think lesbian porn is hot and I get into it and never for one second worry that it means I'm gay. I'm really just trying to figure out why TBP objects to it. First, I am NOT saying TRP is a cult. If you want to object that TRP is not a cult, reread what I wrote first. My objection to "SMV" is identical to my objection to "hamstering" and "HB#" and "alpha/beta". I think it represents a girl's need to feel validated and an external focus of self esteem in the girls I know with high partner counts. This doesn't make sense to me because, if you can tell if a woman needs validations and lack inner focus on self-esteem, why not make that the qualification? Why discount people who simply have traits that you associate with those things if you are able to see the things themselves. I mean, it would be like me saying I prefer tall men. You said men aren't logic, and you dated a bunch non logical men. It seems you're really talking IQ and logic. I am not. Look at this statement you made: If we were to trace the thought of why someone would do something, I could find a logical basis for everything. That doesn't end in " I felt it was right." This is not the case. In a relationship, you are going to do most of what you do because it feels right to you. That will actually be your reasons for taking various actions you take. You ma…

There is a dichotomy between at least two types of intelligence. You should read more about it's pretty fascinating. No. There isn't a dichotomy between logic in one place and logic in another. If you aren't talking about logic, you shouldn't use the word. When I say logic in a relationship, I'm specifically talking about the logic of an action. If we were to trace the thought of why someone would do something, I could find a logical basis for everything. That doesn't end in " I felt it was righ…

I'm baffled by this response. IQ doesn't measure your ability to be logical I the real world, that is a terrible fallacy. This is exactly what I was talking about before. IQ does measure your ability to be logical. Being logical in the real world isn't a different skill from being logical on an IQ test. The problem is that being logical does not help you in the real world because the world doesn't run on logic. Most people aren't logical. What you are calling, "being logical in the real world," …

I know plenty of 160s that can barely live. I don't care if you're T,woman, man, or dog. IQ means jack shit, outside of academia. I did not say what my IQ was. IQ doesn't mean anything, in the real world, or relationships. This is exactly the sort of thing I am talking about. I am a woman and you seem to have a visceral reluctance to see me as a person who excels at logic. You can't stop yourself from trying to dismiss or minimize my positive qualities. I'm sure you know women that have terrible attitudes but are also insanely hot. Yeah. I also think TRP is an entire subreddit of men who have terrible attitudes. Women are illogical, because they do things by feel. Surely, a women choose to love someone be with someone. But primarily, their actions are governed by feelings, not hard logic. This is why you guys are so confusing. Its not her suffering that the red pillers find funny. Its how she reacts. If you think about it my hyperbole isn't even that overblown since you seem to be taking a stance similar to "Schrodinger's rapist," where all men may be rapists. Nope. You seem to be taking the stance that no man is ever a rapist and women should have no concern for their safety.

It is unclear to me if you are talking about submissive in the way the RPW are submissive, in that they defer to the opinion of their mate on pretty much everything and expect that person to make the big decisions and be in control. Because I really feel like it is not a terribly healthy place to be for anybody. I get people are offended by that opinion but it is how I actually feel. On the other hand, a guy who always seems to want to demonstrate dominance seems equally unwell to me. I love bal…

Okay, so, what if you learned that she hates it but also recognizes that this isn't a healthy or reasonable attitude to have to she simple doesn't let that feeling dictate her actions?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/14 08:08 PM

If she says that I can't hang out with my friends for a night but she "agrees" and I later found out she hates it, that would be a major cause for concern in me. But this seems like she made it clear that she didn't want you to go. What exactly concerns you about this?

This is really interesting to me. I'm not trying to debate you any more, I am just curious. If you don't mind another question. Let's say X is something you like. Say it's your favorite sex act. What if a woman never said anything about X. You ask her for it, she agrees and acts as though she likes it. She does it smiling and enthusiastically. Later, despite her own best efforts to hide this from you, you discover she hates it. How do you feel about that?

So...she is allowed to bring it up the next day. That's what I was getting at. I personally would make it clear that I am losing respect for her lying, and tell her how I would expect her to behave in a future situation. What if she told you that she was angry and upset and confused and couldn't think clearly. She just wanted some time to think it over and calm down. In that state, the only think she can think to say is, "I'm fine." or "Nothing is wrong." Then she asked you in the future to just…

However, if I am bringing it up, and she lies and says she's fine (instead of suggesting we talk about it when we both have cooled down), then I would say she's not allowed to bring it up the next day because it's unfair to me. So, you would, in this situation, refuse to discuss it with her the next day. That is what I am talking about. I am talking about that next day when you say she isn't allowed to bring it up. When you are in a heightened emotional state, you are not thinking clearly. What is so hard about letting her talk to you about what upset her then having a discussion after that about how it really bothers you that she lies to you? Why don't you want to explain yourself? I would feel unsafe telling a man something that might make him angry if I am alone with him in his pad and we just met. Why do you blame the guy for making you feel uncomfortable? If the reason I am uncomfortable is something the guy did, that is the situation where I don't want to have to explain what made me uncomfortable. Wow, that's a stretch. It isn't. It was inaccurate for me to call it ineffable. I could actually speak to it. It would just take a very, very long time to delve into all the different things they have done and said and the bahavior they have displayed that lead me to think this. I think it is fine to generlize based on some data. What makes TRP generalization worthless to me is that they are based on a population that suffers dearly from selection bias in the forms of both sampling bias and attrition bias. It also suffers from confirmation bias in the absolute broadest sense where all the focus is on collecting data that confirms the theory and no attempt is made to disprove it. It's basically how creationists do science.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/14 08:57 PM

I have no desire to post in TRP. I am not welcome there because of my uterus. My point stands. If a TRPer saw me stick up for myself in an admirable way, he would not tell the story to TRP. If TRP ever told a story about me doing that, if would be a situation where you generally disagreed with my call that it was necessary to take a hard line.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/14 06:44 PM

If you told TRP.... I am not welcome at TRP. I am discussing which stories you guys choose to tell each other. What baffles me to no end is how TBP thinks TRP is a single, monolithic ideology I neither said or implied anything of the sort. I think TRP is a community of story tellers and it is clear to anybody who visits the community which stories you guys choose to tell each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/14 06:29 PM

I wouldn't take it. I can and have told men who violated my boundaries exactly what is what. Here is the thing. I would never have TRP tell a story about seeing me stick up for myself and applauding that. If TRP ever told a story about me doing that, if would be a situation where you generally disagreed with my call that it was necessary to take a hard line and it would be all "LOOK AT THAT FEMINZI BITCH!" And the assumption would be that I could only be married if to a beta mangina.

Why he married her is beyond me but I sure do hold that opinion. If he were one of the guys who considers a woman with a high partner count a bad prospect for an LTR, I would feel some Schadenfreude about his anger. I do not defend her actions at all, it was terribly shitty of her. Just as explanation, the first example does seem like the result of the schizophrenic attitudes about sex I see in all sorts of men and most TRPers.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/14 05:30 PM

But if we have no other explanations, it seems probable. There are other explanations. As I said elsewhere, it could be that men are more likely to stay in a miserable, loveless marriage than women are. This could be for several reasons. It's possible that men more than women feel that staying in a shitty marriage satisfies some notion of honor. I could be that men might be more likely to fear, and this fear may be warranted, that a divorce would cause more misery than the marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/14 09:53 PM

There is a big difference here in these situations. If I ask for X and my husband tells me he can't give me X, then I learn he gave X to an...ex...well, sure, I'd be mega pissed. I want to use Y from now on, BTW. If I never asked for Y, then I found out he gave Y to an ex, then I said I want Y as well and he told me that he would not give me Y, that would likely be the beginning of some serious negotiations. I wouldn't be angry. There would be quite a few talks.

The statistics on divorce pretty much speaks for itself that women leave men much more often. It just is what it is. It helps men to understand this. He can find some peace and understanding as to why the woman he loves and who was supposed to love him would suddenly drop him like a hot potato I think it also possible the statistic proves that men are far more likely than women to stay in a shitty marriage with a spouse he doesn't love any more. I believe that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. That is what the word "feminism" means. You are cliaming that you can not be described as a feminist. You don't try to correct or alter my definition. You are essentially claiming you can't be described using a word that describes you. I find that inscrutible. Feminism does NOT have a monopoly on belief in equal rights. Nobody claimed it did.

I am sure it could. In terms of the two definitions I gave, if you oppose both of those stances and call yourself a feminist, I would conclude that you are either being deceptive or you are misinformed about the meanings of the words you are using. Or was it the prospect of paying alimony that made it unappealing? I mean, getting sex and a slightly more tolerable amount of abuse from this woman you describe hardly seems like a win.

I've seen a lot of TBPers say that TRP is just for lost and bitter guys that want answers to why they get rejected/are failures with women and life. Wait? You don't think that is true? Because I've seen tons of TRPers say the same thing. Where we part seems to be more on whether or not RP alleviates the bitterness. I also see TBP call some of TRP's ideas dangerous. Yeah. I don't know if I agree with that personally. I think TRP attracts some people who are clearly dangerous/unhinged/scary. And t…

When I say women, I mean typically females act in this manner. It is assumed that males can do the same. That is irrelevant. You said women do it usually and men don't. That assumes men do it, too.…

You have balled up a bunch of different issues, here They don't realize that the real reason they've started cringing at the thought of sex is because their husband used to be a badass and now he's 20 pounds heavier, balding, works all day, drives a minivan, blurts out "yes dear" before she even finishes her sentence, is downright afraid of making her angry about anything, and she's the only woman on the planet who would ever want such a loser. It sounds crazy to me so I don't intend to stipulate it. If you can't support your claim, you can't make an argument based on it. Talk about the gender role, not the sex. You must have a baseline. ou just explained that you withheld sex in order get your husband to give you time grieve. That was rhetoric. I wasn't withholding sex. I was genuinely disinterested in sex for that period of time. Lucky guy. Wrong. So, I think I understand why you think all women use sex to get power. You are basically saying that, any time a woman loses interest in sex with her husband, she is withholding in order to get something. If that is the case, yes, every woman withholds sex in order to get something. For a few months after my mother died, I withheld sex in order to get something. Cause I don't know one marriage where sex life is the same as it was before the marriage. Mine is. And I don't think I'm a rare flower. But, just because sex changes after marriage doesn't mean all women use sex as leverage. I don't know one woman who withholds sex to get certain things. That's almost certainly because of homophily, not because no such women exist. The flip side of this it's hard to find a girl that's able to separate her heart from her pussy. No, I don't think it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/13 12:19 AM

I know you are referring to LTRs. That is my point. RP teaches you not to have LTRs with the sort of woman who doesn't use sex as leverage. If a woman genuinely loves sex, she is going to pursue it. She will have sex with men she is attracted to without worrying that her partner count is too high which might devalue the leveraging capabilities of her sex. She will just have sex because she loves it. Then, when she finds a guy she wants to spend the rest of her life with, as long as he keeps taki…

I do think there are women who think of their vaginas the way you describe. They exist. There are also women who don't do that at all. There are women who love sex and love men. I don't think that is completely fair. A lot of people don't know how to talk about sex for a lot of different reasons. Society gives people completely irrational hang ups about sex. To be fair, I also don't think the inability of these RPers to see sexually liberated women as commitment material means they are immature young boys or are not "real men." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermittent_fasting#Human_health but it's not as simple as you made it sound because metabolism fluctuates and it's hard to guess what someone's metabolism is like in the first place My whole point is that the principle behind weight loss is dead easy but putting into practice is pretty hard, it turns out. So, again, I don't see why you are arguing with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/13 09:35 PM

I do not believe the effect you are talking about happens. But, when you say something slows your metabolism, you are saying that it causes you to burn fewer calories and, as a result, fail to lose weight. This doesn't disagree with my statement.

An interesting thing to note is that most of RP strategy will almost immediately drive away any women who is clear, open and honest about her intentions, the type of woman you seem to date exclusively. /r/PurplePillDebate21/12/13 05:53 PM

For me waiting to calm down is usually the worst thing to do. First of all, I did not say to wait until the person calms down. I said to wait until they are calm to discuss the topic. I said to do other things until that time. Also, you don't say why you think this.

Well, I can give super vague advice. When somebody is in a very heightened state of arousal, they are not capable of thinking clearly and rationally about a topic. You can't have a productive discussion about it at the moment. While somebody is truly freaking out, you should make them feel heard. Listen to them and respond to them by letting them know that you understand what they are upset about. This very question simply invites one of my many criticisms of TRP. It is so vague. I don't really know what you are talking about. Losing weight isn't all that hard. You have to eat fewer calories than you burn. But I could make a similar list about the weight loss industry. There are lots of reasons for this and lots of different systems for how to lose weight. Each of them will work for some people. Some work but are just a really bad idea for other reasons. I prefer tall men. It is only a preference. I would never say, "Short men won't make good partners." Because that is ridiculous. Of course short men make great partners and bad partners alike. Height has no bearing on how good you are at being a romantic partner. I prefer non-violent men. I would say, "Violent men won't make good partners." And I could explain why I think that. I have a reason to say that. It's why I would.

If you didn't pick up on this, let me spell it out. I don't think your opinion about sluts is a preference, either.
