Exactly. The BDSM community is incredibly considerate and thorough, which is what is amazing about it. But there are others who weasel their way in and use aggression and violence against subs under the guise of "dominance".

Unconscious was an example in the list of examples I was giving. And screaming and crawling is okay IF YOU SAY ITS OKAY BEFOREHAND. You have to have these discussions, and he did not even bother with them. Using BDSM as a way to dismiss this issue is not okay, because the community knows that this is rape or assault. You're the only one saying otherwise.

Screaming and trying to crawl away sounds like a "stop" to me. If he is truly knowledgeable of the ins and outs of BDSM, he should know how to read his partner and do check-ins to make sure everything's going well. But he didn't care, because he was clearly just there to do whatever the hell he wanted. Sometimes people are too scared to actually say th word "no" Or "stop". If your partner is unresponsive, crying, screaming, unconscious, etc., then you NEED to make sure things are okay

I love sex. That doesn't mean someone can just attack me and force me to have sex because it's "what I'm into" . I have to CONSENT ,and she was clearly to terrified (and probably damaged from the choking) to say whether or not shown wanted this. If a person is screaming and trying to get away, you need to stop and see what is going on. That's how responsible adults act. This guy sounds like a psychopathic rapist who doesn't give a damn about boundaries.

Regarding your attempted rape, did she have a strap on? How did that work? First of all, that's none of your damn business. Would you ask a woman how her rape happened? That's a tactless thing to ask someone, and you should be ashamed of yourself. Second, rape is sex without consent. That means that a man can be forced to penetrate a woman or man, can be assaulted while asleep, drugged, coerced, manipulated, etc. ,etc. And just because a man gets erect doesn't mean he's consenting (some women ge…

The racist lie that men in 3rd world countries beat their women and treat them like property What rock are you living under? Obviously men in third world countries have a lot holding them down, But we can't just ignore areas like India, Africa, and the middle east, where there's an epidemic of male-on-female violence. It's not racist. It's the truth.

It's not hijacking anything. It's just overlap, like another user said. I'm a woman, so I care about women's rights even though I'm also a men's rights activist. I'm not straight, so I'm invested in LGBTQ rights, even though I'm going to marry a man. We're a diverse group of people, and we can support various causes without "hijacking" them

No problem! Bisexual refers to someone who can be attracted to both men And women. Pansexual means someone who can be attracted to men, women, people with no gender or fluid gender, trans people, etc. It's covers the grey areas of gender identity. Some pans people refer to themselves as bi in order to avoid awkward questions, but most that I've dealt with are comfortable discussing it. Edit: I hope that made it more clear. Edit: I accidentally defined bi people as straight.

I support gay marriage as an LGBTQ issue, rather than a men's rights one, simply because it affects more than just gay men. I'm a pansexual woman who's already found the man of my life, but I still want others to be able to marry someone of the same (or no) sex

I was addressing one of the points that you made, and also throwing it out there for the few idiots who usually come along in these sorts of threads saying "If you marry me, I can fuck you whenever I want. That's how marriages works." Saying you'll be with someone for the rest of your life doesn't mean that you're obligated to give them sex when you don't want it. They keep talking about paternity tests destroying the fragile family dynamic. Isn't it already destroyed when your partner chooses to have sex outside of your monogamous relationship?(working on the assumption that most of these people are worried about cheating or fraud) Just because it's a secret doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I'm not saying that men judge each other's penises. I'm saying that they're more concerned about their own penis than woman tend to be. Obviously there are people who are size queens or men who don't give a fuck, but the majority of people who seem to really care about the size of a penis are men.

I'm a pansexual woman and I've found a place here. There are some assholes who believe that marital rape isn't real and that women are vastly inferior to men and that trans people cannot exist, but they are the very small minority. Just the usual extremists that you find in any movement. Also, I've never heard anyone say that rape only exists when done to men. If anything, some feminists say that rape can only happen to women.

Go to r/sex, and you'll find that the vast majority of questions concerning penis size come from people with penises. "Do women really care about penis size?" Yeah, you made a stupid argument. The sister shouldn't get mad, and it doesn't matter if you flip the genders or not. Calling a boy pretty won't make him gay. You said it was awful, and then turned right around and said they'd be liable for your shitty actions. Because you're the one choosing to mess with them when they're in no state to truly consent. It doesn't matter if they're coming on to you. You should just turn and walk the other way.

If I see someone who drank too much and is passed out on a bed, I'm no going to touch them because that's an incredibly fucked up thing to do. It doesn't matter that they chose to drink. If I see them in that state and choose to have sex with them anyway, IM the one in the wrong, because that is taking advantage of someone who is unable to consent. Edit: Also, fuck you and your chaperone bullshit.

Which occasion? Both parties a little drunk, or both parties smashed out of their minds? You weren't clear. Regardless, both parties always have to consent. That's how sex works. You don't have to say explicitly "I want to have sex with you", because there is enthusiastic consent. If someone is just laying there and not participating, one should stop and make sure everything is okay.

A little alcohol is okay. But if someone (of any gender) is blacking out, vomiting, falling over... they are clearly too drunk to consent.

This is one of those men's issues that clearly affects certain men differently (Like police brutality). White men are "the norm" for sexual attraction, but they are still massively devalued. R/feminism is a lost cause, which is why people are moving the discussions elsewhere. What's annoying is that everyone keeps bragging or lamenting that they've been banned from there. Yeah, everyone's been banned. We know that you can't have a non-censored debate there. Let the sub die, and bring up topics in other, less ban-happy subs.
/r/MensRights24/02/15 05:15 PM

True, it's an assumption, but you've led everyone to it by setting yourself against women as a group, rather than feminists. Blame yourself. Once again, if you want to start a discussion on male suicide due to feminism, go for it. Its more productive than saying "I've been banned! How can I stop these evil women?!" By the way, the main mod of r/feminism (demmian) is a man. Edit: and I'm a woman, for whatever that's worth in this discussion.
/r/MensRights24/02/15 05:12 PM

You weren't starting a discussion about male suicide in this sub. You were complaining about being banned from a sub that specifically states that posts should not question the validity and need of feminism.
/r/MensRights24/02/15 04:56 PM

R/feminism has rules in the sidebar. Posts in the sub cannot question the validity of feminism. I'm not saying it's a good rule, But it is the rule there. He broke it, and he got banned for it. Now he's complaining everywhere else about it. Most people here, including me, have been banned from r/feminism, and we can still have debates and discussions elsewhere. Rather than complain, he could have simply reposted the article.

....You mean an article that took the suicide numbers, completely ignored ALL of the likely actual factors like undiagnosed/undertreated mental illness, and decided it was because of the rise of women's individualism? The comment on the article you posted is perfect -- correlation DOES NOT equal causation, Stats 101. So a rise is feminism and a rise in suicide likely have no causal relationship, but instead are both caused by extraneous societal factors. Yep. Correlation does not equal causation…

You're missing the point. Thor is no longer worthy to wield mjolnir in the comic books. Since he cannot wield Mjolnir, a new person has been chosen to take the position of Thor. Thor did not turn into a woman. This woman is not, as far as I know, a deity. She's simply worthy of picking up and using the hammer. Its not that fucking complicated.

Mjolnir can only be wielded by someone who is worthy. It has absolutely nothing to do with strength or armbands. Also, you're upset because you think they made a male Norse deity a woman? Thor is no longer worthy of wielding the hammer, and so he was replaced by someone who was. Captain America is having problems with the serum that made him the way he is, and he's aging very quickly. So Falcon took over as captain America. Calm the fuck down and learn the context.

I'm sort of with feminists on this one... Traditional ideas of femininity and masculinity can remain, but it should be up to the individual to choose the way they want to live, and not get judged for it. Example: Susan wants to start her own motorcycle company and never be a wife or have children. Good for her! That's her choice! She should respect Julie's choice to be a stay-at-home wife and mom, just as Julie should respect Susan's choice.

Saying that women initiate 70% of divorces without explaining why they do it is pretty careless. Women initiate divorce due to the marriage just losing its interest, the desire for a new partner, rape and abuse within the marriage, and a ton of other reasons. Just throwing the stat out there with no explanation makes it seem like women are just throwing marriages away for the hell of it.

Vaccinations are important for one's health, therefore parents should make that decision for the child. But circumcision is not vital for one's health, and the reasoning is usually superficial. Weirdo... I was born with a vagina and live as a woman. Sure, I'm pansexual, but that doesn't reflect on me as a person. I'm educated, mostly white. What more do you want?
/r/MensRights09/11/14 08:52 PM

So what's the norm? Straight and cis so far. What else shall we put? White? Male? By saying that straight and cis are normal and other things aren't, you are creating the fucking patriarchy that we all say doesn't exist. You are playing straight into feminists hands.
/r/MensRights09/11/14 08:51 PM
-2

Cisgendered isn't a slur. Its just a way of saying "you identify with the body you were born into". Yes, some people use it as a slur ("die cis scum" comes to mind). I am a cisgendered, pansexual woman. Does that matter in the big picture? Of course not. My values as a person matter, not my choice in partner or whether or not I identified as a girl early on.
/r/MensRights09/11/14 08:46 PM
2

No. "Normal" is not the correct term. Being cisgendered means you identify with the body you we're born with. That's it. It is also normal for people to not identify with the body they are born with. Should we stop calling people "straight" And call them "normal", too? Hell no. There is no real norm when it comes to gender, sex, orientation, race, etc. All of those things are social constructions.

I didn't have the whole quote at my disposal while on the phone, so calm down. Also, I'll assume that you mean "mitigates", rather than "midgets". As long as the patient is being safe, it is not the doctors job to tell her how many people to sleep with. Simple as that.
/r/MensRights07/11/14 07:22 PM
-1

Opinions are opinions regardless of interpretation. Saying that dogs exist is a fact. Saying "maybe you should have less partners" is judgement. It doesn't matter if a woman sleeps with one man or hundred as long as she's safe about it. Same goes for men.
/r/MensRights07/11/14 03:23 PM

Gynecologists really do say a lot of unprofessional things across the board. One or two women with horror stories is easily swept under the rug. But I was scared to finally go to the gynecologist this year because I'd heard hundreds of stories about doctors judging patients, hurting them, ignoring them, etc. Not every doctor is a saint. So before you go making up statistics that you think fit, go to r/twoxchromosomes and search for gynecologist stories
/r/MensRights07/11/14 03:19 PM

It's not a doctor's job to be judgemental. There's a difference between doctoral advice and what this doctor actually said. She was shaming the patient for having more than one partner, and that isn't cool or professional.

Feminism is big in Colorado, so that's not why Udall lost. It because that's the only issue that anyone knew his stance on. Gardener spread himself out, so people felt like he was more knowledgeable. If I get shitfaced, I accept the consequences that come with it: dizziness, nausea, maybe saying some stupid shit, a hangover the next day. That's it. If I am raped, that is not my fault. Some one saw me drunk and decided to force unwanted sex on me. That is the action of someone else, not me. To say "If you didn't want to get raped, you shouldn't have been drunk" is incredibly ignorant. People of all genders and orientations need to learn about consent. A drunk person cannot consent. I'd say that it's definitely hard to call yourself a MRA if you believe that MGM is acceptable. I'm not saying that intactivists are the true MRAs. Probably not a lot. Keep in mind, though, that there is a lot of subsciber crossover between TwoX and other gender related subs, including OneY, r/feminism, r/mensrights, SRS, againstmensrights, etc. I'm a MRA, but I hang out at TwoX simply because I'm a woman, and I can relate to a lot of the content. Basically, that kind of poll would be more indicative of all the fringe TwoX groups, rather than the average TwoXer
/r/MensRights15/06/14 03:32 PM

I hang out in TwoX a lot, and I've found that the majority of people there aren't radical feminist asshats who want to kill men. Sure, there's a lot of feminist stuff posted and commented on, but it's generally not extreme. Most people would feel exactly as OP does, in my experience.

There's not a girl power reference, but girl power is definitely there in many of the characters. J.K. Rowling just is more egalitarian about these things. Hermione, Ginny, Minerva, Luna, Tonks, etc. There are tons of totally badass women in Harry Potter. But J.K. Rowling doesn't put a feminist spin on it. It's not trivial. The foreskin serves a number of purposes, and there is significant damage when it is removed. One out of every hundred babies dies in the process. Some get herpes from rabbis who suck the blood from the penis. Watch a video of an infant being circumcised. The part where they go silent is when they go into shock from the pain and pass out. Scientifc studies have shown that that trauma lasts into men's lives. And you think the foreskin is trivial? Why don't you do some research a…

There's no medical need for circumcision! The only time It's necessary is in cases of extreme phimosis, and even that can sometimes be alleviated without cutting off part of the penis. Your parents just decided that you were going to get your foreskin chopped off. Saying that you don't want to be uncircumcised doesn't mean anything. So you're happy with your circumcision? Good for you. Don't force that on to your non-consenting infant children.

Not to most people. I was just pulling extreme examples for the sake of discussion. However, there are some very traditionalist people in the MRM who do believe that. That's the main reason I brought it up. Most people identify as feminist simply because that is the group that claims to be for equality. You know the old "If you think that women are people, you're a feminist" trick. That's why I wanted to get a feel for what makes a person too feminist to associate with.
/r/MensRights29/05/14 04:24 AM

Then you're being close-minded. You know that everyone in every movement has different views of what that movement stands for. Looks at us, for instance. We are probably two very different MRAs. Yet we continue to associate with each other. Rather than pushing potentially awesome people away just because they identify as a feminist, you should have a discussion with that person and figure out what their stance is on issues, what feminism means to them, etc.

I don't believe that it's true overall, but you can find some evidence of it in film. No one is explicitly saying "You are entitled to sex". But films show every male main character ending up with a chick. It doesn't matter if it's Vin Diesel, the Rock, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Nicholas Cage, etc. They guy always gets the girl. That's just one example. Like I said, I don't buy into the idea too much. I'm just explaining a feminist perspective.

I agree that there are a lot of people who are hurting there. However, there are also a ton of legitimately misogynistic people there who only seek to use women for their own personal gain. They write field reports detailing their conquests, berate "beta" men, look down on women who decide to have more than one sexual partner in their lifetime, etc. I've checked it out several times, trying to give it second chances, and I've always been astounded by the sexism and their treatment of other men. …

If this video doesn't prove that Elliot Rodger was insane, I don't know what does. People are acting as if we are using mental illness as am excuse for him. There is no excuse. He should have gotten a shit ton of mental help. Yes, he was a misogynist. Yes, that played a huge role in this act. But that was not the only factor. People don't write manifestos about a new society and then go on shooting sprees unless there is something very wrong with them.

It wasn't misogyny, it was mental illness. Although he was undeniably misogynistic. I'd call him a misanthrope for sure, But his manifesto clearly stated that women were the root of all evil, while men were just pawns who basically fell for their tricks.

To me, anti-feminism means that I am against feminism as a gender movement. I am still all for women's rights, and I will defend women's rights till the day I die. Unless woman has been brainwashed by people like you into thinking that cut penises are better, then we literally couldnt care less. Just because some women like a certain kind of peni…

I don't believe that most guys can fully understand what I'm talking about, Just as I can never discuss being circumcised with complete understanding. It is an experience that a lot of girls and women go through (whether men believe it or not) and I promise you that we are not blowing it out of proportion. Some men really do believe that a girl's opinion on a matter is irrelevant because she can be "persuaded" out of it. If I wanted to be persuaded, I'd say "We'll see, and we can discuss this ag…

It's a problem with both genders. As a girl growing up with a lot of male friends, I was often the victim of the old "I've been friends with you all this time, Why don't you like me back" thing. It was as if being a decent person entitled them to a relationship with me. I went into those friendships wanting nothing more than a friend, and they knew that. But the expectation from them was that they could change my mind or something. They figured "oh she'll come around". They completely undermined…

I don't understand. No one owes you anything. If you buy a woman a drink, she doesn't owe you sex. If you get your husband a gift, he doesn't have to pay it back in chores. Anyone who believes that they are entitled to anything simply because they "did something nice" Is mistaken. If you want sex, say it. If you want the chores done, ask. Don't try and make people "owe" You.

You get to keep thousands of nerve endings that make sex feel way better. The foreskin helps keep things lubricated so that your penis doesn't chafe. Those are the first two that come to mind. I'm not a guy, so I don't know from experience.

Because you're altering some non-consenting person's body. You're making a permanent decision FOR them. And that choice is usually based on really shitty reasons, like cleanliness (teach your kid to bathe) or religion or any number of things.

Unless your son has some serious medical issue that requires circumcision (meaning that there are no other options), then it is not your decision to make. Your son can decide for himself when he is old enough to make an informed decision. Reasons that people usually use as an excuse to alter their kids without their permission: "I want him to look like his dad." That is not an acceptable reason. Religion. Religious texts tell you to stone people to death and rape your wife. Will you do that, too…

That's kind of childish and will get us nowhere. The better thing to do would follow what OP said. Supporting women's reproductive rights while teaching people about the lack of male reproductive rights is more effective than "You're won't give me X, so I'll make sure you don't get Y".

Here's what I said to someone else: I think it would depend on the ultimatum and how unstable the relationship is. I've heard of some pretty shitty ones. For instance, a man a couple years ago was told by his female rapist "You can either have sex with me, or I can call the police." Obviously not every ultimatum would invalidate consent. Its situational, and I was just throwing out examples of potentially non-consensual things.

The article was written as a response to certain restaurants with no-tipping policies. The author used those stats. We don't know that the restaurant owners used those same ones. Odds are that their business decisions were based on something a bit more solid and reliable than the ones we read.

If there is an ultimatum, threat of violence, constant pressure to consent, etc... consent is not valid. Hate to burst your bubble, buddy. If you're pressuring someone into consenting when they would normally not do so, then you're an asshole, and they should press charges.

You act like they're going to continue to pay servers minimum wage or less. That obviously wouldn't happen, because that's stupid and impractical. Servers won't be making tips, but they're not going to be left for dead. We've discussed this before, and you're too rooted in your beliefs to see anything else. So I'll ask you a question. Why do you believe that only men should be allowed to vote? I used to think that. But she went on to join radical feminists in Texas (? Not totally sure) in an attempt to get a following. She also used her infant daughter as a propaganda tool. She actually had something wrong with her.

MY ARGUMENT IS IN CAPS SO IM OBVIOUSLY RIGHT! Wrong. This sub is called men's rights because it is about men's rights. There is a sub for anti feminism, and its named accordingly. I AM an anti-feminist, but I want to focus on actual issues that men face. Not crazy extremists who literally no one listens to. Is it wrong to want to see men's rights issues in the subreddit made for discussing them?

It wasn't Krista. It was some other radfem (she wouldn't even call herself that). The femitheist would not have even considered what was written here (like the part about sex being preferred) because she believed in essentially milking men and artificially inseminating. The men would then be murdered or forced back into slavery. Yeah... Krista was a bit crazy....

I feel like people care a lot about children in general. When something horrible happens to a child, no one really cares what gender it was. Its in adulthood where we start to see the differences. Crime journalists love talking about female victims and male perpetrators, so they report on them more by far.
/r/MensRights27/02/14 01:17 PM

This is old as hell. She's a radfem. That's not exactly indicative of feminism as a whole. That's like saying that red pillers are representative of all MRAs.

India is a shitty place for all genders. They need female only train carriages because of the massive amounts of sexual harassment/assault. Men are violently beaten over mere allegations. They probably think they're doing a good thing by providing free education to girls, since their education is usually limited. They need to make it free for all genders, but I doubt it will happen any time soon. India has huge problems that will take an incredibly long time to fix, especially since they have so…

No. It means that I value debate in general. First and foremost, its good to know that the man is okay after his divorce. Clearly, he's not, since he seems to believe that feminism is solely to blame for brainwashing his ex-wife. His belief that feminism Is at fault raises the question "is that really the case?" Some people think it is. Others, not so much. Of course they're going to talk about it, and it is good for all of us to discuss it, including OP.

The comments in that thread quickly deviated from consoling the man to bitching about how venomous feminism is. Sure, there's overlap in his case (feminism may have led her away from him). However, any big thread bashing feminism is destined to attract those who will defend feminism or egalitarianism. What do you expect? It's not concern trolling. That's kind of a silly rule. Why can't you guys learn to appreciate each other's interests instead of straight out forbidding them? It's not at all how you portray it. Yeah, Anna assumes that Kristoff is a loser with no friends. That part sucks. Although I'm bi, I do not have a girlfriend. I guess I can ask my boyfriend, but that wouldn't prove your point. I would give you examples of how well I've received my male friends' stories of misfortune, but then you'd probably rule me out as either lying or an exception.
/r/MensRights18/02/14 08:22 PM

I'd say that the two issues that I discuss most right now are male genital mutilation and the treatment of men in both crime journalism and the court system. I would like to see medically unnecessary infant circumcision completely done away with. If a child needs it for medical reasons, I'm okay with that. I'm also okay with a man choosing the procedure himself. However, it is not up to parents and religious figures to make the choice. As for crime-related things, we should have anonymity for th…

Sexual assault comes in many forms, not all of which have noticeable evidence. If a person forcibly gropes you against your will, you're going to have a hard time providing proof that that occurred. That isn't to say that we should just automatically, unconditionally believe every thing we hear, but we also can't rule out the possibility that the sexual assault happened.

/r/MensRights08/02/14 01:28 AM
3

To add on to all these good points, pointing out that men are very likely to be victims of every kind of violence will help your case (way more likely than women). You don't need to say "Men are more likely than women to be mugged" or anything that makes it a men vs. women case, though . Just show the statistics on male victimization, and you'll have a good enough case with just that.

Get involved or get left out Feminism has a shit ton of issues. They're not going to listen to what we have to say on those issues, especially since its fighting between feminists. If MRAs start butting in, feminists will simply get pissed off with us, and then the issues of POC or LGBT groups will once again fall to th wayside. I strongly believe that more good will come from this if we left them fight amongst themselves.
/r/MensRights07/02/14 08:44 PM

Gender issues are our issues, but I don't think it's up to MRAs to fix feminism. That is something that they really do need to fight over and figure out on their own. We are a far younger movement than they are. We still aren't even on the same page about what we want for the movement as a whole. Why should we focus on fixing feminism (a movement that many of us are adamantly against), when we have our own in-fighting to work on? Edit: I think it's absolutely fantastic that feminists are calling…
/r/MensRights07/02/14 07:30 PM

The point of my analogy was not how recognized each issue is. It was the fact that having a day for FGM isn't denying the fact that MGM exists. I don't even know for sure that there isn't an anti-MGM day. There might be, for all I know. Showing that one group has a problem does not remove the fact that another group also has a problem.

I agree with you. No one should be forced to be an incubator. After the time for an abortion passes, I think that it would be fair for the father to have the chance to adopt the.kid if she doesn't want it, but I don't think a lot of women consider that.

There was a tribute to Woody Allen recently, and his son and Mia took to Twitter to share their views on him. Also, Dylan Farrow is now an adult and is sharing her side of the story. I've been talking about this story a lot recently, and have come to the conclusion that we will NEVER know what really happened. It is a very complicated case (the Farrows are pretty complicated anyway). We can't assume that Woody Allen did it, but we also can't rule out the possibility. Might as well let the story …

Don't be a dumbass. Going to a mental hospital and still getting some jail time isn't a free pass. And you have to get psychologists to prove that you had a mental illness at the time of the crime in order to get an insanity plea. Even then, it's not always guaranteed. Speaking in extremes only shows how uneducated you are on the subject.

If it is a pretty severe case, then it is just as good of an excuse as schizophrenia or any other mental illness. Depression can really screw people up. It's mostly a Jewish and Muslim thing, but Christians do sometimes use religion as an excuse. Personally, my motto is "His body, his choice", and there's no budging on that one (not that you were arguing that. I saw your other comments).

I never specified a religion in the comment, since all three major religions practice circumcision. Also, saying that Christians aren't supposed to follow the old testament is true. I'm an atheist, but here's my take on it anyway (just putting my bias out there, cause I sense a rant coming on. don't take it personally). When it comes to religion, circumcision is one of those "pick-and-choose" parts of the bible. Yes, one gay friend was molested when he was younger, but he already felt that he was gay before that incident. I don't doubt that some people may have sexuality issues that create conflict following trauma. However, I don't think that we can just assume that most gay people are molded to be gay due to our circumstances when …

I'm not saying it's homophobic to suggest it. I'm saying that literally every gay person I've seen in a video, read of online, seen in my psych classes and books, and been friends with has said they were born liking whatever gender they like. I've heard of straight people thinking they might be bi or gay due to some encounter they had, but that's about it.
/r/MensRights28/12/13 04:55 PM

Yeah, but homosexuality isn't a matter of nurture. I grew up in a homophobic household with any talk of homosexuality discouraged. I didn't become bisexual to rebel against that mindset. I liked both men and women from an early age. I could not change it if I tried. Its a part of who I was, who I am, and who I will be.

If you're cutting off a part of my son's body without his permission, sending him to shock because of the pain, and creating a risk of death, I call that mutilation. Once again, the main point isn't which one is "worse". Its about the lack of consent, plain and simple.
/r/MensRights28/12/13 03:23 PM

Then that's up to you. I'm always careful when talking to those who get defensive when talking about MGM. A lot of people here feel like we are calling them disfigured or mutilated because they are circumcised. We aren't doing that (well some people do, but not me). If you are circumcised and okay with it, good for you! Circumcised penises are the bee's knees! I only ask that you give your own son the chance to make the choice for himself. You can actively help stop this trend by refusing to do …

If it's done for no good reason to someone who can't consent, I consider that to be mutilation. I know that that offends those who are cut and okay with it, but I really can't call it anything else in good faith. Sorry.
/r/MensRights28/12/13 04:54 AM

Then maybe you should stop assuming that we are equating FGM and MGM in terms of severity? Feminists often tell us exactly what you did, "Don't you dare compare the two because FGM is a thousand times worse!" If our two groups could work together to eliminate all non-consensual and unneccasry genital mutilation, that could be the start of us no longer needing two gender movements. MRAs already are against both FGM and MGM. Call us babies who complain about feminazis if you want, but at least we …

Doesn't matter if it's a fifteen year old girl or an infant boy or vice versa. You don't mess with other people's bodies without their consent. You replied to this guy because he said FGM is generally worse and thus was viewed as a good guy to you. The rest of us got to the heart of the problem (lack of consent) and you ignored us.

So IP addresses have never been used to track someone down? It happened at the middle school that my brother goes to. A kid was threatening a teacher under a fake email address. The cops traced the IP address and, through the process of elimination, they figured out who in the house sent the email. Its not that difficult.
/r/MensRights19/12/13 10:04 PM

Its generally anonymous. Its as anonymous as being on Reddit. You can post under a made up username all day, never revealing any tiny bit of your true life. The masses won't give enough fucks to find out who you are. But if you confessed to a crime on your account and it got enough attention drawn to it, someone might try and dig up your IP address. In the case of this college, there is no way that I know of that can prevent things from being tracked back to you. I don't know if they we're track…

I never said that the anonymous rape claim was a good idea. However, the college has already reportedly tracked down some students who filed claims. I understand that anyone can operate from an IP address, but it's still not impossible to find out who did it.
/r/MensRights19/12/13 09:00 PM

It doesn't remove the liability of the person who files the claim. If the school cared enough, they could track down IP addresses and find out who made the claim.

I'm glad that, as a sub, we aren't trying to sweep this thing under the rug and pretend it never happened. At least 99.5% of us can rest easy knowing that we had nothing to do with this, but that isn't going to stop the world from assuming that we were all at least partially responsible. I suspect that feminists and those from r/againstmensrights are going to try and hold this over our heads for a long time, using it as evidence that "all MRAs are like that".
/r/MensRights19/12/13 04:32 PM

Undoubtedly. I was basically just saying that the number of MRAs who did this was relatively small, as opposed to what the news articles, r/againstmensrights, and r/shitredditsays are insinuating.
/r/MensRights19/12/13 04:16 PM
25

I was discussing that last night with my boyfriend, and we figured that the number of people who participated was actually much smaller than 400. The folks at 4chan likely sent more than one per person (4chan loves stuff like this), So that actually eliminates a lot more MRAs as participants.

/r/MensRights19/12/13 04:23 AM

Lots of people know of someone who is trans. I was friends with a MTF trans woman, and I have a friend who shared an apartment with one also. The percentage is small, but there are still more of them than the percentage makes it seem. Edit: Also, trans people tend to be involved in LGBTQ groups. There is a lot of overlap between them and feminists, so of course feminists are going to most likely know someone who is trans.

Yeah, no fucking shit. But how many husbands don't allow their wives to spend their money (since you still insist on limiting the genders on this)? And how many care enough to file charges against their wives? If they did, they'd win, but they don't.

Heaven forbid we don't force people to have sex with their spouse. Note the lack of gender in that sentence. Marriage doesn't equal consent to sex. And yeah, if a husband or wife takes their significant other's money without their consent and its not in a joint account, that's wrong. But you don't need to limit it to one gender.

Why do you keep talking about divorce when we're talking about marriage. In a marriage, a man can be a stay at home dad these days. If he's unemployed, it's not nearly as big of a deal as it used to be. Yes, there's still a stigma, but it's not the end of the world. From a psychological stance, people get married because humans desire companionship, and we are largely monogamous. For those of us who are okay with commitment, what better way to show commitment than signing a legal document? Yeah,…

Most couples have a joint account. The understanding is that, in a joint account, both parties knowingly have access to what money is in there, regardless of who puts it there. And wives can make money, too, you know.

You're looking at marriage from an outdated survival stance. We no longer have to worry about providing tons of kids to run the family farm and compensate for the stillborns. Men can actually choose to not provide for their families. Times have changed, and neither sex nor money are obligations any more. Yes, it is fantastic to have both in a marriage, but sex should not be "expected". When people expect their significant other to have sex with them no matter what, they will start to ignore the …

What the fuck did I just read? Sex is not an obligation. Men don't deserve sex just because they put a roof over someone's head. No one "deserves" sex, period. It isn't some wifely duty that we are denying you guys. Marital rape laws were put in place to stop this very dangerous mindset. If guys like Clint here think that women are supposed to just give them sex whenever because they're married, then I really hope that they never stay in a committed relationship. Marital rape happens when people…

-_- this stuff literally is made up from companies of guys, by guys, for guys. You act like women are the only ones who can come up with something "extreme" or "ridiculous", but men are 100% capable of doing the same. I've been hearing about this case a lot. The two kids like each other, consider themselves to be "boyfriend and girlfriend". There was really nothing wrong here. However, my state of Colorado sucks. Once again, you asked the question, I gave you an answer. I don't know what to tell you. Its a feminist concept, and I'm not a feminist. Yeah, objectification happens to both genders. But feminists would still argue that the male objectification you witness is a male power fantasy. You (collective you. Not you personally) want to be strong like David Beckham, smooth like James Bond, witty like Clark Gable, etc., etc. That just how feminists describe it. It's not a female gaze to them. Its a powe…

You don't have to get rid of tradition entirety. You can just adapt. Yeah, this Black Peter thing sounds ridiculous. Get rid of the stereotype, get Santa caught up with the times, problem solved. I don't blame the feminist for being upset about this, though. Sounds like a tradition that has no place in the modern world. Also, don't glorify tradition. Just because a thing has been around for over a century doesn't mean it's worth keeping. Look at slavery.

That's not how female gaze works. It's just like male gaze, but reversed. Sexualized shots of men that aren't necessary to the plot. It's very rare in film. Only a few feminist filmmakers have tried it. Romantic comedies at least have a reason for casting men in a sexual light.

Women have the buying power, but in the film industry, it's up to those involved in the filmmaking process to initiate the change. Yes, there are marketing consultants who may suggest that the director appeals to women, but the directors, producers, even the actors, need to step up and remove these overused means of garnering interest. I agree with you, though. Women have the power. They just aren't making as many movies as men are. When they get more involved in film, and when audiences start v…

You're talking to a woman right now, and another one already commented, thank you very much. Anyway, the reason that there is an assumed gender in the concept is because filmmakers use the male gaze to cater to male audiences, not female ones. Filmmakers are typically men, as are a large number of moviegoers. And of those men going to see movies, the majority of them are straight. Therefore, to maintain the viewers' interest, a filmmaker will throw in some pan-up-the-body shots of women, because…

Not saying I agree with it, but you asked why it's called that, and I have an answer. The male gaze is a term that is used to describe a trend in film and television. Basically, there are a lot of unnecessary shots of women That are intended to sexualize them. Think of any movie that shows a woman getting out of a pool in slow motion with the water glittering behind her. The trend works on the assumption that the audience is male and wants to see women in a sexy manner.

We both answered it, if you read all of what we wrote. Being abused does not give you a free pass. Victim-blaming Is blaming someone for something that is out of their control. If an abuse victim continues the cycle of abuse, that is something that they could have prevented. Thus, they are to blame.

OP, please consider Demonic's comment. Being abused does not excuse you from abusing others. Yes, it is unfortunate if abused people go on to commit the same crimes, but it is best if we can prevent this from happening however we can. Not through campaigns like "only men can stop rape", though. But please don't say things like "it's no surprise if she gets raped". Its always the rapist's fault, and people shouldn't mess with anyone no matter how they're dressed. If I'm walking around naked, I st…

The comment you replied to TRP can claim they're MRAs all they want, it won't be true as long as they promote gender roles as an obligation. (And that women's suffrage should be abolished) Your comment They don't promote the former and the latter is the general consensus in here It looks like you're saying that r/mensrights as a whole does not want women to be able to vote. If that's not what you meant, that's at least how it reads.

The crux of your argument is evo-psychology, which does have merit in some situations, but not in a discussion of gender roles in today's society. We do not need women to stay at home and take care of the children and harvest small plants while the men are off hunting game and fighting rival tribes. When the world finally catches up to the idea that war is fucking stupid (not soldiers. I'll support them till the end), we won't have to make anyone be disposable. Sexiflexible? That is one of the dumbest terms I've ever heard to describe it. And how would we know if women are "hardwired" that way, when we don't have enough examples of men to go off of? I believe that the Kinsey spectrum is an accurate way of looking at it, but we can't go around saying that women are programmed to bat for both sides when women are the only ones really describing their experiences. We need to have balanced data. Men need to come forward with their stories.

There seems to be a whole lot of opinions about this from people who ARE NOT bisexual or a lesbian (not here. In general). I am bisexual, and I have always been this way. I did not "decide" to do this because of the attention that it garners. I didn't "choose" it because guys are "losers" and I wanted a larger group of people to potentially have sex with. We are not the same at all. We do not rely on invisible/non-existing power structures to prove our point. Feminists claim that every instance of sexism against men actually stems from sexist notions of women because patriarchy. Example: A man loses custody of his children. This is actually sexist against women, because the patriarchy says that women must always be with their caretaker mothers. False. It's not victim-preventing. Its victim-blaming, plain and simple. I can't believe that the author would try and claim that it's the victim's fault that he or she got raped if he or she happened to be drinking. When I drink with my friends, Its because I want to hang out with them, play video games, and drink. It doesn't mean that I'm opening myself up to any and all sexual scenarios. No. Women get custody because of the Tender Years doctrine. Before, men were given custody, because they were the obvious providers for the children. But feminists fought for the TYD and succeeded in convincing our country that children need to be with their mothers no matter what.

When that religion decides that cutting off a part of a healthy, non-consenting infant's body is okay, I will absolutely try and shoot that argument down. Unless your son has some serious disease in his penis and the LAST possible solution is circumcision, there is no need for.the foreskin to come off. HIS body, HIS choice. Its not up to the parents. Its not up to god. I don't give a shit about any covenant that involves mutilating non-consenting beings.

Is she high? Women get off sooooo easy when they commit rape, mainly because their victim never reports it due to the stigma. If they do report, they are laughed at by police, friends, family, and strangers. If a woman is sentenced, it's often not for very long.

I just realized that my entire life as a woman has been soooo difficult. I've been forced to do so much with my appearance and personality, all because I need to impress every man I encounter. I've had no choice in this. It's always been "Look beautiful or go the fuck home." My life has been manipulated by the big bad PATRIARCHY (TM). :(

Summary: Men need to fit into their stereotypical gender roles for society to function. Women need to do the same. However, women are fucking everything up by daring to want jobs, leave their husbands, and vote. Women are ruining the world. The end.

I don't think that women are essentially children. I believe that you saw a few act in a certain way and now refuse to view them as anything different. You clearly have some warped mindset about women if you think that only a few of us are capable of acting like adults. What is your reasoning behind this mindset?

How do you define sexual assault? Your definition Sexual assault is when someone does not/cannot consent to sex In my opinion, that is rape. My definition of sexual assault is more like undesired/forced groping, kissing, etc. When some form of sex comes into play, that's when I up the severity from sexual assault to rape. That being said, you should contact the people who made the survey and see where they got their stats from.

I once wrote about this very concept, which is the "Even when it is misandry, it is still misogyny" mindset. If you give a feminist any example of how men are disadvantaged in society, the feminist will warp it into sexism against women. This is especially true on the internet.

You know those "Walk in her shoes" marathons, in which men walk in high heels to raise awareness for male-on-female domestic violence? Well a prominent feminist was against those altogether. Why? Because they were too focused on men. Basically, she said that men should be silent cheerleaders. They need to stay quiet while the women are talking and never voice their opinion, because that is a demonstration of their privilege. So much equality.....

As someone else said, intersectionality is one of the few good things to come out of feminism. Yes, our primary focus is on the rights of men. However, look at the ultra shitty time that gay men have in this world. They are ostracized, beaten, and raped (there are many stories of straight bullies raping gay men) because they do not fit stereotypical male gender roles. They have very high suicide rates. In some areas, they are killed because of it, and in others, they may be discriminated against…

The actual misogynists and bigots (not "omg he said the wage gap is a myth and is therefore a misogynist!") They're not missing anything. They're misinterpreting. They are unwilling to change, and have receded to places like r/antiegalitarian because no one here agreed with them. Why are extreme feminists not "true" feminists, and why did you not grant MRAs the same clarification? Radical feminists are still feminists. They still want rights for women, but their way of achieving that usually entails harming the rights of men (or decimating the male population). Radical MRAs still want equal rights for men, but they simply hate women. They don't necessarily want to take their rights away (some do, though. It always benefits groups to have diversity. People don't really listen when people discuss their own problems (I.e. "I am a man and my life sucks in x, y, and z ways"). They pass it off as complaining and ignore the problems. When other people discuss these things, people are more likely to pay attention. Why do you think GirlWritesWhat and Typhonblue are so popular? The same thing happened with feminism and the civil rights movement. Sure, there were incredibly influential women and minority s…

/r/MensRights13/07/13 02:46 PM

Not really. People with that mentality usually do things because they feel they have to in order to.appease someone. A long talk about this stuff can actually reveal what they aren't cool with, even if they say they are. You just have to look and listen for signs of hesitation, that's all. Body language is still a form of communication. If you mention wanting to wake up your boyfriend with a blowing and he gets all shifty and looks not thrilled about it, you probably shouldn't do it. Simple.
/r/MensRights11/07/13 03:12 PM

This is why couples need to communicate. If you are not okay with being groped in your sleep, tell your partner. It is important for you and your significant other to know what the other is or is not comfortable with. Your SO cannot read your mind and hope that you don't press charges just because you won't tell him/her what's okay in your book.

Black and Muslim women are still targeted more than white women. This is something that is pretty consistent in both genders. White people (typically) have an easier time, like Bill O'Reily. There's no evidence showing he raped her because he didn't. He's being charged with sexual assault, not rape. That could be any number of actions. Edit: and being a MRA does not mean that you must argue that every man accused of rape is innocent. Yes, sometimes women lie about it, but other times, men actually do rape people, and I will not defend those types of people.
/r/MensRights03/07/13 03:26 PM

Of course he disagrees. He's being charged with sexual assault. If a woman accused me of messing with her when she was unconscious, my natural response would be "no I didn't, you were awake". There are several ways that this could have gone down: She was awake and not smashed. This would mean she could consent. She was awake, but very drunk (I.e vomiting, falling over, etc). Cannot consent. She is unconscious. Cannot consent. Your buddy does not have much going for him if he is actually innocent…

it is a personal choice of the family/parents No it is not! It is the choice of the individual who's penis they are trying to mutilate. If you can't infer that they are talking about patriarchy on this newsletter, then you need to go back to your English classes. Both genders have a confirmation bias that favors women. That means that both male and female politicians are more likely to push legislature that helps women more than men. Also, there are approximately 160 million men in the U.S. alone. There are a few in political offices, but most of them are the average Joe. While you are not doing anything wrong, they've probably had to deal with a lot of shit from straight men who aren't there for the right reasons. Yeah, they definitely overreacted, but they most likely have legitimate reasons for doing so. R/mensrights does the same thing when feminists show up and preach to us, r/feminism does it when MRAs enter the discussion, and r/SRS blows up when anyone outside of the fempire dares to do anything.

I've always stuck to "whoever plans the date pays", which is pretty fair for a first date sort of situation. I've been asked on dates, and they had no problem buying dinner (I'm a cheap date, so they don't have to spend much). When I invite someone somewhere, I pay, unless the person insists otherwise. There's no point in arguing about it, so if they really want to, they can.

Your opinion was sexist, and the valve forum presumably had a rule saying "No sexist remarks". You didn't question the capabilities of female commanders; you said that women aren't right for roles involving lots of leadership. What are your reasons for this? We''re weaker than men? I'll concede that we are physically weaker than the average man. No big deal, since officers don't do shit but sit in offices and the heaviest things they lift are heavy files. This isn't the work of feminists. This is the work of a business that will lose its users unless action is taken. Its not your fault, but there are tons of men whose sole purpose on dating websites is to send out pictures of their penises. Rape culture is not the same as rape. Rape culture is the feminist concept of a society that trivializes, promotes, and jokes about rape. A person who sends unwilling recipients pictures of his penis would hypothetically not care about whether or not that recipient wants to see it. When my dad was in Germany, he saw seceral instances of soldiers finding a chick (usually civilian, but the point stands) passed out/unconscious and having sex with the person anyway. Those people are rapists. It doesn't matter if the woman shouldn't have drank that much, or shouldn't have been wearing whatever she was. You don't have sex with someone who is unconscious.

Men, women, black people, gay people, etc should not just be given an executive position. They should all have the same opportunity to obtain that position, though. /r/MensRights04/06/13 05:04 AM

I'm an MRA. I'm 100% aware of the bias that both groups have in favor of women. However, saying that men should vote FOR women just because they'll help them out anyway is stupid. Views are changing. Men won't be white knighting for women forever. All groups should maintain their current voting status. Education is the key to change. Not infantilizing women.
/r/MensRights03/06/13 05:37 PM
3

That's because men aren't voting as much. When men vote less, it means that women are voting more (basic fucking math), which means that women's issues are taking the forefront. The solution is not to remove anyone's right to vote. The solution is to encourage more men to vote. That way, everyone has the basic rights that this country offers its citizens and no group is being punished for wanting to help themselves and their peers.
/r/MensRights03/06/13 04:43 PM

No, the strawman was that I was saying women should be silenced. Fathers and husbands can vote on things that affect women. Taking away a person's right to vote sounds like a form of silencing to me. Your idea would lead to male supremacy, which is not any better than the alternative. Why should men represent women when women are more than capable of voting for themselves?

Trees may occasionally be affected by the vote now and then. Should they get to vote? No, because they can't. Instead, people who own land with trees on it can vote on things that affect trees. Mothers and fathers can vote on things that affect their children. Dog owners can vote on things that affect their dogs. It's really simple. Also, it wasn't a straw man. It was an ad hominem. Do you know why politicians face backlash for saying "forcible rape"? It's because it creates unnecessary standards. Rape is simply "sex without consent" whether a it's oral, anal, vaginal, etc. if someone is performing a sexual act on you and you do not want it done, it's rape. Simple.

You don't seem to understand the different forms of consent. Explicit: "I want to have sex with you." Implicit: is implied. If a girl is climbing on top of you and moaning and trying to initiate, odds are that she wants to have sex. This is also called "enthusiastic consent". Guess how you can prevent things from getting trapped under the forskin! A) cleaning your penis like you should be doing anyway, unless you were never taught to properly bathe and B) using a condom. It's not hard.

They believe that men are too strong to be raped. If they don't want it, it's up to them to push her off. They also believe that men always want sex, so being forced to have sex with someone is seen as a good thing by a lot of people, but only when the victim is a man. There is the whole "you can only get an erection when you're horny, so you totally wante it" argument too, made by men and women who have no idea how the human body works.

Rape is not about sex. It is about power. You do not have to be attracted to someone to get an erection. An erection is caused by blood flow to the penis, which can be caused by thoughts or stimulation. That means that if a guy has his buddies pin you down in an alleyway and starts touching himself to get hard, he will get an erection. He doesn't have to think you're sexy or anything. He doesn't have to pretend you're a woman. Simply touching himself will do the job. All that's left to do is for…

Maybe that's true for most people, but there are exceptions to that rule. Those exceptions would be able to form a fully functioning relationship that works off te idea that the women is the provider and the man is the caregiver.

I feel like people who are caught up in the ideas of certain genders doing certain things would have a harder time maintaining that sort of marriage than a couple who had moved beyond gender roles. I'm not basing that off the opening statements. I'm basing it off the fact that repeated vomiting and unconsciousness is a sign of being too drunk to consent.

I have given my boyfriend consent to have sex with me in my sleep. I have been dating him for five years +. He is not a random guy at a party, and I was not smashed when I told him that. The facts that we do have are that a girl was passed out and naked on the floor. Two boys found her and fingered her while she was unconscious. Videos were taken and shared, and rumors were created and spread. I'm all for due process. That's part of why I hang out here. However, if these boys are innocent, then …
/r/MensRights16/03/13 03:38 AM

I'm curious as to how many more ways you can come up with to make this scenario not rape. It makes me wonder about how well you accept consent.
/r/MensRights16/03/13 01:35 AM
2

Technically it would still be rape because she was drunk out of her mind.
/r/MensRights15/03/13 05:32 PM
3

From what we know, the girl who passed out at the party did not say "hey! If you see me blacked out on the floor and unconscious, please proceed to do what you want to me! I totally am in a right state of mind to say such things!" Your stories aren't really applicable in this scenario.
/r/MensRights15/03/13 04:56 PM
3

One of my ex girlfriends told me she experienced her first orgy at 15 Was she passed out on the floor, or did she consent to it? Because I really don't think that that sort of anecdote excuses the fact that two guys messed with a girl who was out cold.
/r/MensRights15/03/13 04:40 PM
6

Do you really believe that this is the case here? I'm totally okay with the stuff you mentioned, but this girl was passed out on the floor at a party. People generally don't press charges when others fulfill their fantasies. Also, what does GGG mean?
/r/MensRights15/03/13 01:22 AM
56

Telling your friends that you are sexually attracted to a person does not mean that the person in question. Has permission to have sex with you. And if she was passed out on the floor, I'm pretty sure that her former desire to have sex with him still doesn't give him permission to fuck her unconscious body. That's what I was saying. Of course, this is all alleged.
/r/MensRights14/03/13 04:33 PM
28

Yeah... A lot of articles seem to have that problem. As for the content of the article itself, previously saying that you wish to have sex with someone does not equal consent, and the boys' lawyers are idiots for suggesting that.

I disagree with you. My problem with feminism is that they lie. They say that they will help all groups and then don't. We are helping men, and we would gladly work in tandem with women's groups. However, we would still only focus on mens issues because we are the men's rights movement. Not egalitarianism. There is nothing wrong with two groups cooperating while still focusing on their own gender. There is something wrong with one group gaining followers through lies and hypocrisy.
/r/MensRights09/03/13 02:45 AM

November 19 I believe
/r/MensRights09/03/13 02:41 AM

Feminism claims to help all groups by focusing on one. The MRM seeks to fix the issues of men by focusing on men. Women's rights groups seek to help women by focusing on women. The MRM is for men, so that is who I am going to fight for. If I was on a women's rights sub, then I would not suggest fighting for the rights of men there, because that is not the group that they are interested in.

Usually when they say "safe" they actually mean "free from the oppression that men force on us with their intimidating physical presence, their interrupting, their 'mansplaining', and patriarchy." Basically, men's very existence is often considered scary and oppressive. This is a little unrelated, but abused men sometimes aren't allowed to be around abused women in shelters because they might scare the women. Being a man is apparently "triggering".

No one here denies that there are women in the world who are suffering at the hands of others. We are quick to acknowledge that that happens. We also know that men are suffering in those areas just as much. I am still a supporter of women's rights groups (not the feminist movement), but this is r/mensrights. The issue that feminists have when it comes to women's reproductive rights usually involves politics. People try to pass legislation to make abortion illegal, or to try and guilt trip you out of getting one. There's even a lady who is trying to push the idea that, if a rape victim aborts the baby that was created during her rApe, she is tampering with evidence ad is committing a crime. Feminists get mad because people are trying to make that option really difficult for women.

I didn't mind it till I saw the last sentence. "Boys and girls both suffer from shit. But don't forget that girls suffer more!"

That's true for most users there. Demmian isn't like that, but, then again, I guess that's why most of r/feminism hates him :/

I understand why demmian made the rule in r/askfeminists (it is a place to ask feminists about issues, rather than MRAs), but I don't really see why it's needed in r/feminism. It is a sub for simply talking about feminist issues. I just posted a very non-argumentative top level comment there though. Hopefully I don't get in trouble. I've been following the rule thus far.

Lesbians as a whole are not seeking out to "destroy men". If any are, they are definitely the very small minority. This woman seems to think that anyone who doesn't love men hates them. I'm bisexual. I have met a lot of lesbians in my life. They're just normal people. Feminists (radical) are the ones who fit this woman's profile. Not lesbians. Radical feminists sometimes go so far as to adopt lesbianism in order to further prove that they hate men, but that does not reflect on those who just hap…

Eh. I don't know too much about Dworkin. My biggest concern with this picture, as a bisexual woman, has always been this woman's horrible misunderstanding of lesbians.

I believe that Andrea Dworkin said that in her book "Intercourse"

either way, I figure that, as long as she is the one putting a roof over my head and whatnot, I can swallow my beliefs a little bit. Story of my life -_-

She decided that I "just hate women" FTFY Sadly, that is an argument that is not going to go away in the near future. It is essentially just a silencing tactic. If you don't agree with the things feminism tells us, then clearly you are a horrible person and a misogynist. It doesn't make sense, nor is it fair. That's why we need to start fighting back against it. Mom: You are acknowledging that society caters to women. You are a misogynist. You: Mom, when did recognizing the struggles of male stu…

A popular claim that is often used to dismiss misandry is that sexism= prejudice+power. This is America-centric, and you're clearly not really from the UK, but here, women make up the majority of the vote. Since we live in democracy, that means that women control who goes into office. Since women control who goes into office, politicians and other public figures are going to try and appeal to women voters more than male ones. This means that women are the ones who actually have the power. It has…

I have a job myself. If I had the money that she received, I wouldn't have to work for a while either. I'm sure she's getting more financial support from her devoted followers who believe everything she says.

It's worth a shot. She raised enough money to buy games and free up her time so that she could play them. If she was really determined to beat them, she could have beaten a few games a month and had out at least two videos by now. I beat friggen Ocarina of Time (a very long game), in just a few days, and it took me two to beat Rhythm Heaven Fever. So at the rate I was going (assuming I had tons of video games and free time like she does), I could have beaten six games a month (one game gets five…

Or maybe she's just the average woman who doesn't really know about it, just like a whole lot of men. She doesn't need to be crucified for ignorance.

Female is an adjective that denotes the gender of the noun that it accompanies. You don't always have to have the noun directly connected though, like in the example I gave. Female does not apply to everything though. If you use it by itself, you don't know if it means a female human, chimp, tiger, frog, etc. That's why you can't use it as a noun. Feminists would even call the action "dehumanizing". Another example of understood (but invisible) words in the English language is when you give a co…

You're being a bit extreme here. Have you even read the OP's other comments? She doesn't understand, but she is willing too. Her reaction is most likely not as rude/over the top as you think it was, and he does not need to break up with her for not immediately understanding complications from circumcision. Edit: from OP himself. She was making a point of telling me i'm fine, and since everything works, I don't have anything to worry about. Its more the oblivious action.

The only time I've ever seen female used as a noun, it was still an adjective. Example: I am observing the behavior of a family of chimps. The female is carrying the baby on her back. In that sentence, "the female" is understood to be "the female chimp".

As a woman who "actually cares about men", it is sometimes hard for members of either gender to simply not understand how their partner is feeling. OP even said that his girlfriend is just uninformed on the issue. Not understanding how a penis may be affected by circumcision is no reason to break up with a woman, especially when a whole lot of men don't even know how their penis works (so many men don't seem to understand how erections do not guarantee consent).

Just a heads up, the words "female" and "male" are adjectives. You would use them for things like "a female human" or "a male panther." "Man" and "woman" are better. Anyway, I agree with what she says.

Lets say a man is standing on a street corner. He may be a rapist. He may not be. How do we find out if he is a rapist? Well, he'd have to rape someone. We don't want to take the risk of potentially being raped, so we treat him as if he was a rapist in order to feel "safer"..

If its not about both of you, someone's doing it wrong. This year, I'm sending my fiancé a rose, chocolate, a weird stuffed animal, and a card ( long-distance relationship). We're very simple, so I know he'll send something of approximately equal value. Hopefully we'll get to Skype or something also :/ anyway! Valentines day is supposed to be for couples. It's up to both of you to not make it "Worship your woman day"

I've always said that the best way to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS is to use condoms. Not only does it encourage safe sex, but it also prevents parents circumcising their sons for bullshit reasons.

For those of you who have never watched Saturday Night Live, it is a weekly show that has a bunch of humorous skits. They like to use current events and stereotypes a lot. Pretty much everything they do is like that.

The original script has a 13 year old girl and the line "If it was rape, it was a good rape". As I said, the author had to change the original story because she pissed off a lot of people.

O_o what's happening in that second picture? I absolutely agree with you, though. The art that I love is beautiful and inspiring, even if it is a bit weird or different. For instance, a couple days ago in TwoXC, there was a link to a gallery of naked women. They were minimal makeup shots of completely nude women, and they were breathtakingly beautiful. The women looked genuinely happy in their own skin (which was far from model-perfect). I was actually inspired. A few months ago, I saw a picture…
