Maus is a wonderful series.

My parents met when my mom was nearing 18 and my father was nearing 30. My father had his second child with a second woman while meeting my mother. Apparently, my mother was friends with the second woman and messed around with my dad behind her friend's back. TBH, my dad wasn't shit, but he was my father. With my mother, he was emotionally and financially abusive, but he acted like a family man/good husband to others. I did not think of it as a huge deal, but with learning from FDS and moving aw…

I also grew up in the Christian community. My parents weren't as rigid keeping me in line at church which helped me avoid the toxic stuff other kids had to deal with. With what I see with men in the church and how they get away with stuff, I feel weary of getting married.

I'm happy for her that she decided to leave him. I know that in these "Opposites attracts" relationships, it causes a lot of resentful compromises.

And she doesn't have a not so great relationship with her daughter because she's her opposite.

I can see Gloria from Modern Family as a HVW, but I don't see Alex as one. She puts down everyone who is beneath her in intelligence, makes herself a martyr for situations out of her control, and the men she dated in the series have some character flaws.

To never mold yourself into their preferences because they will still leave you for someone else.

I feel that being alone sucks at first, but it rocks when you have the cards in your hand. I live in a somewhat busy city where I can keep being distracted. I tend to hold my tongue when I see people over-talk about their relationship, but I enjoy listening and asking questions because I care for them. People pity me for being single, but I put my head up high and say that I am happy being on my own. At least my advice for everyone is to be able to live on your own in an area that keeps you busy…

Meredith and Derek. He was married and the power dynamics was a big no-no. After breaking up in the beginning of the show, he slut-shamed her and they still got back together. He never valued her until it was convenient for him.

Didn't someone posted a article on FDS about Jason Momoa saying he enjoyed doing the r*pe scenes from GOT. That killed it for me.

This would be seven years ago. I wish I was able to cut contact and spend time with those who really cared for me and participated in other things. I wish I was able to follow through with what my therapist said about no contact and do better with my health and grades.

Even then some gay men aren't clean themselves unless they are trying to impress their love interest.

I have done a lot a stuff for male validation ignoring the potential relationships of good women. I thought that I needed to do things to be the cool girl or because social media says it was cool to get male attention or do things for them to like me. I have done things I regret and left me feeling gross of myself, but I am proud that I recognize my mistakes and use FDS to help me move forward and make amends with my friends and not try to impress crap men who will never give me the time of day.

Growing up, I thought I only had my sister and I. Turns out, I was my father's third family. He had two kids from two different women and my mother would have not let us knew about them if she could.

A Thousand Splendid Suns was one of the first books to make me cry. I ate up that book in less than 24 hours and I craved all of Khalid Houssani's books to read.

Yikes! That sucks, but there's plenty of fish in the sea for me to subscribe to for financial advice on YouTube. Thanks for the headsup!

For someone who had only had a brief relationship during my first semester at university (currently 27), I needed this. Not interested in dating yet, but outside pressure can pull you down at times.

Bruh, I will admit that I felt bad for her, but after hearing how she would "steal" her boyfriends while they were in committed relationships the umpteenth time.

Since she is now divorced with a banging body and a anticipated album, she would already make back 100x the amount she lost from the divorce in a snap.

The funny thing is Belle Knox hasn't been in porn for years and she is now in law school under a different name.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
