Here's the thing that I can't help but wonder on this case... Imagine if he hadn't been so polite when they falsely arrested him for attempted kidnapping. I understand what your saying. My suggestion would be to have a new job lined up first and let them know you'll be giving 3 weeks notice to your current employer. Because your the type to go above and beyond. Then give three weeks notice and they'll usually let you go within the first two. Leaving you a full week to vacation. Also without worrying about income. Hope it all goes well.
