You are "playing with fire" here so IF still interested you might consider putting your existing assets (house, savings, etc.) into an LLC with a trusted family member (sibling? parents?) and WITHOUT her as a "member". Would humbly suggest that you find a few biomedical engineers from YOUR college/university and ask to "shadow" them (hang out with them) @ their workplace. Before inve$ting a lot of time (can never replace) and/or money (replaceable but costs time) would be prudent to see the pros and cons of your major/career choice BEFORE undertaking. Good for you! There is nothing wrong with manual labour which finances your goals. Personally I have used manual labour to allow my mind to rest a bit while my body takes over. My humble opinion is that unless one is attaining a STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Medicine) Degree, then one is basically wasting both time and $$$ at college/university. As Jesus noted before pursuing an objective, "...Count the cost...." What will be the ROI (Return On Investment) for that degree? Please note the "return" is not just money but TIME. Would suggest that you go "shadow" a MALE engineer, MALE accountant, and MALE nurse for at least a week each. This will allow you to see "up close and personal" what the REALITY of those professions are. Looks nice! Am presently trying (somewhat successfully) to follow Dr. Joel Furhman's "Eat To Live" book concept..... Results so far: Have dropped 40 pounds since august (290 down to 250). Feeling much better. Am more alert and focused. Sleep is deeper and restful. Getting up earlier and getting more done. Would recommend healthy eating as a prime step in going your own way. Stay healthy and safe out there guys!
