I made a similar thread awhile back and came to the same conclusion. Here it is if you'd like to read it

I unfortunately disagree with your initial premise that attraction is cultural. Although it is partially true, men's preference for slim young women has remained relatively constant over time and culture.

My view was not that men and women have equal power in the SMP, I agree women have more. My view was that men collectively have significantly more influence over the SMP than feminism. The reason is because men are our customer's in the SMP, not feminists. Feminists don't have what we want to buy, so they have very little influence over how women behave in the SMP.

BMI for men and women is virtually the same. source In the United States, the average adult man has a BMI of 26.6 and the average adult woman has a BMI of 26.5. Because of unrestricted hypergamy It is not unrestricted, because men themselves provide the restriction. Plane Jane can't get a relationship with Chad. Her hypergamy has an upper bound, which is dictated by what men will settle for and not feminists.

I wonder if that would be a possibilty for the extremely slutty(not meant as an insult here) to get into rslationshils with less 'experienced' men. Just don't give him a reason to break up and let him play catch-up to your enormous number while you are together. /u/wazzup987 might be able to tell you how to accomplish this. Apparently there is a market for men like yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 11:40 PM

Polygamy exists throughout most of human history, and still does in most of the world. This isn't something feminism started. unleashed hypergamy leads to male soft polygamy in which th emost attractive men hoard or prima noctae all the women You could equally say that it unleashed male polygamy which led to female hypergamy. the patriarchal MMP was a form of socialism of sexual access for betas. male resource monogamy ensured the most even possible apportionment of wives to the most number of m…

Why would stores care unless they could make money off of it? Also there isn't that big of a gender difference in obesity rates. If it was just feminism, then would't obesity only increase for women?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 11:31 PM
1

But women have more power in the SMP than men. This is true, but it's only because men want casual sex more than women. We have a monopoly over a product that men want. And feminists are slowly convincing women to embrace a lifestyle/point of view that gives men even less power. You mean getting a job? Don't you want women to have jobs so you aren't BB?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 11:18 PM
2

Fashionable plus sized clothing is widely available not because of feminism, but because people can make money off of it. You disagree?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 11:15 PM
3

Well attractive people in general have more power than unattractive people. Take an unattractive man and an unattractive feminist. Who has more power to persuade women in the SMP? I would argue it's still the man.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 11:12 PM

Looking at that map, there appears to be no correlation between feminism and obesity. For instance, America was one of the fattest countries, but so was Saudia Arabia. And Sweden, one of the most feminist countries, was also one of the thinnest.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 11:09 PM
1

Is feminism making men fat too? It seems like this is a result of our lifestyle and not feminism specifically.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 11:06 PM

You mean like increasing the number of fat women? You think it's feminism that's making women fat and not McDonalds?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/16 10:47 PM

Do you agree with my larger point then? I wasn't sure if this post would be controversial. Why are men are even concerned about fat acceptance and strong independent women?

Would they question why you choose to mock men? I don't mock men. At least I think I don't. He would probably be confused, because this is not something I would typically do. Would they be disgusted by your incessant need to put someone down for no purpose other than virtue signaling or making yourself feel better? No he says, "Why do you keep reading stuff that makes you upset? Why don't you talk to me instead?" He is right. Do you think that they'll see you in a negative light? I try to get my…

The objection to dating a RP man seems to be rooted in the fear that he will hurt or abuse you in some way. But why do we need to be afraid of this? Can we spot abuse when it happens, and are we strong enough to walk away from it? I think so. Are our emotions so fragile that we can't handle someone we care about thinking poorly of us? Probably somewhat in my case, but this is something I can work on. QW, I think instead of trying to repel RP men, we should try to become strong enough emotionally…

I agree. Just because I feel this way, doesn't make it true. But people will just continue to silently accept these things if you call them a sexist or misogynist every time they try to talk about it.

Alright so we are making a value statement about women. Are women good or bad? Of course there is no actual value in an objective, scientific sense. We were just born to do what we do. But this is true for everyone, even murders. They are just doing what they evolved to do. The value comes from other people. We do not value murderers, and that's why they are bad. Similarly we should ask, do we value women? Specifically, do men value women? Look at TRP. Do they value women? No, at least not for a…

. i have to threaten to cut peoples faces off and wear them as a mask while dancing around imitating them to get men to "respect" me. such is life. Ha! Did it work? I think I know what's going on here. You personally admire violence in men, so you tried to immitate violence to get male respect. I admired men's intellectualism, so this is what I tried to imitate. For me, I think it actually worked somewhat. Men did start respecting me more. Why do you think feminism is why I want this? Isn't it a…

I think it may have to do with a difference in our values. I admire the neurotic nerds in the basement. I don't admire the bubbly socialite. The neurotic nerd is probably playing video games with me or creating cool things. The bubbly socialite doesn't want anything to do with me. I also think math is really awesome. It's probably the most awesome thing on this planet. It gives you the power to analyze and understand even the most complicated systems. I want to be as good at it as the autistic a…

Strange, I had a similar situation. My mom was staunchly anti-feminist and said a lot of the same things I hear from RP. When I dated a guy that didn't have a college degree, she told me in certain words that I would lose attraction to him eventually because he was a lower class than me. She also told me not to get into science because I would lose interest when I found out that I wasn't good at it. Maybe the difference between you and I is that my mom applied 'RP' not just to other women, but t…

Hmm maybe it's laziness on my part or a way to dodge responsibility. I want the benefits of being associated with a group without actually working for them. Or if women suck than it's not my fault that I suck because I am a woman. But anyways, I don't think it's feminism that caused the rejection of femininity. I think that feminity just doesn't attract any attention, even if men like it. The women that get attention are either sluts or women that act like men. These are the women that men rewar…

I did grow up disliking my mother. I looked up to my dad and tried to imitate him. I think I never directed my dislike towards other women, it was just always towards myself. Men seem to like me more than women do though. I'm not sure why. Also don't you notice how it's a compliment for a man to tell you that you're not like other girls? Don't guys also say "I'm not like other guys" too though? I think more women experience the "not liking girls/preferring guys as friends" phase than the reverse…

I just figured out something in an exchange with another redditor. It has nothing to do with feminism actually. My family was traditional and conservative. I had little to no exposure to feminism until college. Even then I went to a very conservative college. I always hated feminism. It has to do with how I could get the attention from men that I wanted. Acting like a slut got me attention, but not the kind I wanted. I wanted respect and admiration from men. (Solipsism again? I want men to love …

I have had a very similar experience. I got attention for dressing like a slut, but it was neither the respect nor admiration I wanted. So I tried getting male attention in other ways. The way that worked the best was acting like a man. I took a science class in college that was in a very stereotypical male field. I would participate and show off my knowledge on the topic and I literally had a fan club of guys from that class. And it was the kind of attention I wanted, because it was based on my…

Well I really like you Atlas, but I think it's because you talk like a man. Even this comment seems masculine.

Well not for me personally. Part of me posting this was to figure out how widespread this is. Like I said, I even enjoy being calling an autistic neckbeard because it means people think I'm a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 10:23 PM
3

That men are superior to women? Well I know I believe this, but I was hoping that you didn't. I am attracted to men so they seem really great to me. I was hoping that men would feel the same about women I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 10:21 PM
6

I know, I was speaking hyperbolically. I'm just expressing how I feel, not what I think is necessarily true.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 10:18 PM
4

When it comes to physicality yes. But when it comes to things like character I think masculinity is considered superior. We might argue that woman are more sensitive towards people's feelings for instance. However, if a guy is being particularly compassionate, we wouldn't compliment him by saying that he is showing compassion like a woman. I think he would still find this insulting. But if we were to tell a woman that she can hit a ball like a man, she would consider this a compliment unless she…

/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 10:05 PM

I don't think women are better at anything, except maybe hygiene which I already mentioned. I think that's the whole point. Why would anyone want to be feminine when being feminine sucks ass?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 10:02 PM
6

But I actually think masculinity is better. Maybe the feminists were right. What is so great about being a woman? We cry all the time and get our feelings hurt and suck at math. I'm sorry to be so blatantly sexist, but it's what I believe. Women are retarded. I am retarded. What the hell.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 10:00 PM
2

Yeah I think femininity is more shameful than anything. I'd rather be like a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 09:57 PM
5

One more thing I want to clear up. I'm not crying misogyny. I believe these things too and I don't think I'm a misogynist. t has everything to do with men actually being better in general at the thing in question. When somebody says "you hit like a girl" it's not because women are seen as lesser in our society but because most women can't throw a good punch if their life depended on it. When we call somebody a pussy it's because men for better or worse don't show emotions or throw temper tantrum…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 09:54 PM
3

I would say that telling someone that they think like a woman would mean that they are overly emotional and lack logic, not that they lack empathy about men's issues. I guess it depends on the context though.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 09:35 PM
5

Traditionally women have been characterised (by men) as the weaker sex, irrational and overly-emotional. Just to be clear, I don't want to blame men specifically for this, because I believe it too. I am just as guilty if not more so than everyone else. I doubt the majority of people consciously believe that's the actual truth any more but I do think it has persisted as a sort of subliminal bias in our society. I agree with this. People will say that men and women are the same, but it's just a so…

3

Well I'm glad I am not alone, but I am more interested in people that disagree with me. Could you tell me why you don't believe this? I am not a feminist btw. I don't believe that women are oppressed or anything like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/16 09:27 PM
6

I can't really put my finger on why this might be the case though. I think we could look at it from both a Men's Rights and a Feminist perspective. I can't decide which is better. Maybe it's neither. Feminist perspective: Masculinity is more valued than femininity. Men's right's perspective: Women have been freed from the responsibilities of their gender role and have gained access to other more masculine options, but men are still expected to fill their masculine role. If the first is true, the…

I always wondered this, what does dominance look like in practice and how does it differ from confidence? But to answer your question: Pros: Hotter women prefer dominant men. Women looking for STR prefer dominant men. Dominance increases female orgasms. Cons: Women with higher N counts and women with low FTO prefer dominant men so by being dominant you may be attracting women high on AWALT scale. Only female rated dominance is attractive to women, male rated dominance isn't. Dominance is only at…

By and large, men don't say they "wish women would like them for them". I've never heard a man say this in real life, but I seen it quite often online. Even TRP has a version of this in the sidebar. "Men love women for who they are, but women love men for what they can provide." Or something like that. This is mostly because women are told that what a man wants from a marriage just isn't all that important. This is true when it comes to sex. I remember being told that sex wasn't important as lon…

This is unfalsifiable. Suppose I cry and my boyfriend comes over and gives me a hug. An outside obsever says "You just manipulated your boyfriend into giving you a hug." I say, "No I was just crying because I was upset." And then the observer says, "No, you were just unconsciously manipulating him to give you a hug." In this case manipulation is unfalsifiable, because there is literally nothing I could say that would prove the observer wrong.

It's not an insult to you, you're in my good books. It's just a joke :) I meant it wouldn't be useful for me to call you a shitlord :) And I see what you are saying now. I think their needs to be a conscious desire to (dishonestly) influence the feelings or beliefs of the other person in order for it to be what we call manipulation. Otherwise the meaning of the word gets watered down and almost everything becomes manipulation.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 08:56 PM
1

Well the shitlord comment isn't useful lol. What needs to be asked is "okay, why are you attracting mentally ill women?" But believing that not all women are mentally ill is logically necessary for this to be a meaningful question. It can't be useless if it's logically necessary.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 07:11 PM

Well I would say that everything we do it self serving, including codependency. She is being self serving, but not in a way that actually works to get her needs met.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 07:05 PM

Here are a few reasons. Women file for alimony 10 times the rate of men (made that number up, too lazy to google it) even when controlling for other factors. It's "Yes means Yes" and "Stop catcalling" and not "Teach women to say no" and "Learn how to deal with catcallers" TBP believes that women are defenseless in the face of a RP man, so they ask men to change rather than discussing ways women can protect themselves. Girls still believe they will find a man that will make them happy and solve a…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 06:50 PM
3

You say that men manipulate for a purpose. Does this imply that women do not manipulate for a purpose?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 06:46 PM
4

In your OP you said that the fact that all women are not actually mentally ill is a useless concept to you. But it's not, because it is logically neccesary in order to allow thoughts such as "What am I doing to attract mentally ill women."
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 06:43 PM
1

Perhaps you mean that women are perceived as having a lack of agency, when that's not necessarily the case? I certainly think women are capable of agency. However I also think that women are not immune from the influence of society. Society tells women they have no agency, and women internalize this.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 06:34 PM
1

Using TBP as an example, their reaction to TRP is to get men to stop being so misogynistic, rather than teaching women to deal with the misogyny. They want to help hypothetical women who might be abused by RP tactics, because they don't believe that women have the agency to protect themselves. Feminism does something similar. I think /u/wazzup987 agrees with me on this, so he could perhaps explain it better.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 05:30 PM
1

It seems like a lot of RP material is used to fix codependency issues like "No More Mr. Nice Guy". Also the warning against covert contracts, being a Nice guy, and encouraging men to put their needs first in a relationship. Isn't this all to fix issues with codependency?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 05:22 PM
8

"All women are mentally ill" and "the women who are attracted to me are mentally ill" are not equivalent even on a practical, micro level. The first would lead to "How can I deal with mentally ill women?" or "No women is worth a relationship because they are all mentally ill." The second would lead to, "What am I doing to attract mentally ill women?" These are very different perspectives.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 05:17 PM
1

Yes, I do. Absolutely.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 04:11 PM
2

What you are seeing in that post is not a hatred of betas, but an attempt to blame shift. The original OP asked why so many average men couldn't find dates. They asked if maybe women are too picky. So in response, the woman comes up with a response that shifts the blame onto the guy, thus preserving her own virtue.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/16 01:17 PM
3

I think aging is the biggest drawback to being a woman though, so it's important to mention. It is almost like the male version of hypergamy since men of all ages are attracted to a smaller age subset of women. I also think the female advantage switches much earlier than 50. I would have said around 35 men start to have the advantage.

Most of these studies are based on either forced laboratory interactions or where the participants are asked to express agreement or disagreement with a serious of question such as "There are things you should hide from other people because they don't need to know" A few rely on reports of people close to the participant. The validity of these surveys has been tested extensively and they are widely used.

Machiavellianism is a personality trait characterised by duplicity, externalisation of blame, emotional coldness, and use of interpersonal strategies for manipulating others for personal gain (Christie & Geis, 1970; Fehr, Samsom, & Paulhus, 1992). High Machiavellians can identify and exploit weaknesses in others, whilst hiding their own. They remain unmoved by emotional involvement with others and are indifferent towards their own beliefs or behaviours. They possess a cynical world-view and beli…

I would assume competency in leadership primarily. Here is a nice summary on the differences in the sources of male and female power. Men get power through assumed authority and competency. Women get power from making people like them. This review has shown that women possess higher levels of referent power than men do. People generally evaluate women more favorably than men and like them more. Conversely, men have higher levels of expert and legitimate power than women do in U.S. culture. This …

Physical strength didn't come into the studies I linked. I just mentioned that as a possible theory. According to the last study, men felt more powerful in their relstionships because they felt that they could get women to comply to their wishes or demands. Women did not feel the same about men. Nice work. Do you think feminism is the reason why men no longer feel more powerful than women? I think that TRP selects for men who feel powerless with women, and this is not representative of all men. …

I don't think women are taught to be independent at all. In fact I think they are chronically dependent on men, despite feminists wishing them to be otherwise. This goes hand in hand with women's lack of agency. RPW is good in that it discourages women from placing expectations on their partner to some degree, however, they don't give women the tools to satisfy their own needs and create their own happiness. They rest her happiness completely on his, which is codependency in my opinion.

The questions were related because in both cases the man is prompted to change his attitude. "Be the prize" has nothing to do with reality. It has to do with a man's attitude towards himself and his own perceived value. Maybe he is really insecure and doesn't believe himself to be the prize. If encouraging him to "Be the prize" isn't fake, then neither is reframing your attitude towards hypergamy.

You can always just reframe it to be something positive. Example. Hypergamy: Women are attracted to men they deem superior. Positive Spin: My wife looks up to me and admires me. I can improve myself and it will only serve to increase her attraction to me. The things my wife admires about me are largely under my direct control. etc. Then you might think, "Wow. Yes, I agree with the first part. Women do not have to accomplish anything to be valued. They are given implicit value just for existing, even the ugly women. I think I can empathize with men about this by imagining what it must feel like to need to prove your worth to society. It isn't technically the madonna whore complex, but I think that there is a male equivalent to AF/BB. It might even be more dualistic than what we see in women. Women, for instance, usually require at least some beta qualities to be sexually interested in a guy. They also will seek beta men from the beginning and skip the AF phase. However, it seems like men are willing to have sex with even the sluttiest of women. She doesn't need to have any 'madonna' qualities at all. Also men are less likely…

Another related thought. I think women confuse maternal love for romantic love when the man is relatively unfamiliar to her. Maternal feelings only cause a problem in a LTR. When the relationship is first starting the rush of new intimacy and warm feelings when coupled with unfamiliarity almost perfectly mimics romantic love. I think that men can do what you did and get laid just by timing a cry at the right time.

Men do reward sluts. They give them validation and attention. Also if the girl is attractive then it doesn't matter how slutty she is, she still can find a relationship and even a husband easily. She can also lie about her n-count later, so there is no real motivation for a slut not to be a slut.

Interesting. This makes a lot more sense. Awhile back I made a thread on generalizations. I was confused about why RPillers were using AWALT to describe female behavior that was really only true for a minority of women. Perhaps I was confusing feminine behavior with AWALT behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/16 07:43 PM

I suspect you're asking about feminine characteristics in general, which aren't necessarily all AWALT characteristics. With AWALT, the implication is that the characteristic is shared by hypermajority of females. Feminine characteristics are just ones that are significantly more common in women than they are in men. Not necessarily most women have them. For me, those feminine characteristics would be erotic plasticity, social mindfulness, temperance, humility (internally - it's often not practic…

Thanks for your reply, it was great. I wanted to comment on one point though. It wasn't really a branch seing and not a "left her for another" because the breakup was inevitable anyway. Still hated myself for it. I think this is how branch swinging usually goes for women too. Their relationship is already on rocky ground, so they start opening themselves up to other options.

Wow. There's alot of self awareness in your answers. That's great and not something I'm used to seeing on here. For the record I don't think it is all that useful to blame yourself. It leads to defeatist thinking like "I'm just a worthless human being". Is this true for you? Of course you don't want to blame other people for your problems either, so maybe just avoid attributing blame all together.

Whoops, I left out a word. Yes, that is what I meant. An here is what I think. Women lacking feminine qualities has little to do with feminism or women shaming other women for being feminine. Feminism tells women to let their legs get hairy and to get a science degree, but women still don't do this. There is no incentive. Women operate like everyone else. They do things when there is a reward for doing them. There is still a reward for shaving their legs, and that's why they still do it despite …

Let's make a list of the natural positive traits of men and women. I'm just curious what they would be. I think it's because it's a common term used by people that RPillers strongly dislike, namely feminists and SJWs. But also because when BPillers talk about RP being harmful or toxic, RP reads this as "harmful or toxic to women". They then just shut down at that point because they feel men are always asked to sacrifice on behalf of women. RP has helped them, and BP is asking them to give this up in order to avoid hurting women. They resent this somewhat, and as a result, you lose the trust of you…

The more femininity and masculinty dissolve into a homogenous mass, the harder it will be to define femininity, let alone decide what we value about it. The same can be said for masculinity. I'm not sure which has suffered more. But when someone asks me what I value about men, I don't think of an average man or a masculine ideal. I think of the men in my own life. This is because we also believe what RP defines as masculine is superior to what RP defines as feminine. Glad we agree on that part. For the other half, there is obviously not enough evolutionary pressure to stop women from having casual sex, I agree. But there is still more aversion to this than there is for men. Men don't have any fear of being pumped and dumped for instance. They also report much more openess to casual sex than women. So I think that if we were to ask which sex is driving hookup culture, the answer would be men more so than women.

It's more than just that though. We have men and women entering into a negotiation of sorts. Men gain negotiating power by withholding commitment, women gain power by withholding sex. The fact that women are having sex without commitment means that men (maybe it's really just Chads) have won. Looking at the current state of the SMV would lead us to believe that men have more power in the market than women.

I think that if we are to assume instincts set in place by evolution, that there has to be a sequential order. Having sex with an man before securing resources would be too risky a move for past women before birth control. Women still have an aversion to being pumped and dumped. So why are they having sex without commitment? Where did their instinct go?

This is completely false. The casual sex market did not arise because men became sluts, but because women became sluts. Men were always sluts. Even in the 1950s, men were willing to have casual sex, women held them back. Look at the use of prostitutes by the US army during WWII, or the use of prostitutes by European armies in WWI, or before; or the French brothels in the 19th century. I'm talking about the extremists from each group, not the moderates or even the people who would be most representative of their group. The RPiller extremists hate women. Let's assume the RP premise that women control access to sex and men control access to commitment. Men create the demand for sex and women create the demand for commitment. Women do always want to get married. The Cock Carousel doesn't mean women want to slut around in youth. They are forced to, because Chads won't settle. What about the average man though?

I don't know what you mean about women having 100% control over sex. Don't men also have 100% control over sex? You could say that if women chose to wait until marriage, hookup culture would go away, but the same is true for men. My point is that hookup culture is driven by a demand created by men and not women.

Perhaps instead of trying to define both groups by their best, we should define them by what they are willing to tolerate in their worst. I'm not RP because I am not willing to tolerate hatred of someone based on gender. That's probably not fair, but maybe someone can come up with something better.

I think the important question though is are modern young women seriously looking for a stable BB early on? In comparison to the past, probably not. But in comparison to men, yes. Maybe it's true that women seek casual sex in their youth until they are forced to settle down, but it's even more true for men. So it is less of a female sexual strategy and more of a male sexual strategy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/03/16 09:13 PM

But it's generally described as women seeking causal sex with Chads for as long as possible until they are forced to settle when they get older. I think this fits much better with the male sexual strategy than the female sexual strategy. The female sexual strategy would be to find commitment from a BB as fast as possible.

I do not believe that men and women are that different. Much of what RP describes as female behavior is actually just human behavior. We are completely capable of understanding and empathizing with each other. So TRP might say that male and female sexual strategy is in opposition, but I believe that our goals overlap more than they differ. Also, RP is primarily for men and centers around male sexual strategy which is not particulatly relevant to me. Much of what they say doesn't reflect what I'v…

Well I also believe that all humans are basically the same, so it's not much of a stretch to say the same about women. Once you completely abandon metaphysical ideas such as the soul and free will, individuality quickly becomes less justifiable. What exactly is so individual about us? Of course there are superficial differences but the fundamental emotions, insecurities, and drives are the same.

It is misandry if you hate all men regardless of the reason. If all men kicked you in the face then your misandry is justified. If only some men kicked you, then it is unjustified because you are including the men who didn't kick you.

Racism, misogyny, and even misandry (although they ignore this one) are considered bad by BPillers because they are all a form of collective guilt. The logic is this: If one man punches a woman, all other men do not share responsibility for his actions. If 100 men punch 100 women, all men do not share responsibility for the actions of those 100 men. Only the one man (or the 100 men) are responsible for their own individual actions, no one else's. So it is entirely understandable if I am angry at…

Sorry, I'm tired. You make a good point that in certain age brackets the gender difference in remarriage is non existent or even in favor of women. I guess it's only old women that are immune to branch swinging. What was your point about remarriage being driven by women though? How can you conclude that from the remarriage rates going down for men and up for women?

Stuff that makes me question my own pill... RPillers seem very sincere about how RP has helped them and they aren't all assholes or idiots so maybe they are right about some things. Some people from team blue are literally insane so I see why RPillers would want to disassociate from all that. I recognize that I don't want to believe certain things more because they are threatening to me rather than for any logical reason. If she doesn't leave her husband for that specific man, then it's not really branch swinging though. Wouldn't you agree? Let's also fit this in with what we know about how women cheat. We know that they don't cheat with random hot guy at a bar. They cheat with their friend or coworker. They've been having an emotional affair with this guy already for some time now, and then it turns physical. This is how women actually branch swing.

Certainly the misogynist label can be used inappropriately, but I also see the reverse. I see some people creating such a narrow definition for misogyny, that unless you explicitly say "I hate all women just for being women" then you aren't a misogynist. Imagine some Christian saying "God is a sadist asshole and sends people to hell unjustly", but then following this up with "but I love sadist assholes who punish people unjustly so it's not blasphemy". It would just seem like the guy isn't reall…

I agree with most of this, but it seems to be essentially the same as TBP position. BP says that men and women are not so different that we can't share the same goals, and this seems to be also what you are saying here.

A relationship/marriage should never be man vs woman...the person you are tied to is not some 'enemy' that needs to be 'defeated.' Isn't this exactly how RP presents relationships between men and women though? It's the male imperative against the female imperative.

Right, and I'm applying the same principle here. Her 'actions' are that she is not getting remarried, at least no more (and actually less) than divorced men. I think us BPillers would just like some evidence that women are actually branch swinging from their husbands.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 08:55 PM

This could be since the gender gap in remarriage gets larger as women get older.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 08:39 PM

Among those eligible to remarry—adults whose first marriage ended in divorce or widowhood—men are much more likely than women to have taken the plunge again. In 2013, some 64% of eligible men had remarried, compared with 52% of women. source

Courtney likes men who are stocky, tattoos, and have blue eyes. Debbie likes men who are nice, British, and wear glasses. Younger women who were never married before?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 08:21 PM

That's one thing I really like about RP though. It takes complex social interactions and reduce them down to the bare essentials like SMV, fundamental biological imperatives, etc. They can get away with this because on mass, all the competing variables cancel each other out. That's why they concentrate on what is attractive to women on average, and don't worry about the details like compatibility and personal preferences. So even though there will be little details here and there that might make…

But like I said, they are actually less likely to get remarried too. So they aren't changing their minds later.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 07:51 PM
5

Then I think buttlolipop has a valid question. Who exactly are all these older women branch swinging to? Say the man and the woman marry at 28, and both have an SMV of 7. Then after 6 years the girl drops down to 5, but the man only drops to 6. Now she can only get other 5's (on average), but is married to a 6. Why would so many women be branch swinging if the next guy is more likely to have lower SMV than the guy she is already with?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 07:50 PM
5

I'm glad you did actually! I did say age at marriage which was incorrect, so I'm glad you cleared that up.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 07:38 PM

They say they don't want to get remarried, and they actually don't get remarried. So in this case their actions fit with what they say somewhat.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 07:37 PM
2

I wouldn't say that this happens anymore often than the women letting their SMV plummet though. It seems like in most relationships, both the man and the woman get a little chunkier. It's not like the man gets fat and the woman stays as hot as she was in her 20's. Her SMV actually plummets much more rapidly than his due to aging. To further support this point. Men get remarried after divorce more so than women. Why would this be the case if his SMV is worse than hers, and she is actually looking…

Most people date for 2-3 years before marriage is even considered, so they are meeting their husbands when they are even younger.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 07:30 PM
3

This is something I've been thinking about for awhile so I'm glad /u/buttlolipop brought it up. On average, women's value in the SMV/RMV decreases as they age. Since most women get married when they are still in their prime (23-25), it would follow that on average, women will never be able to do much better than her husband. Why would so many women be branch swinging from their husbands then? Who are they branch swinging to when they already got the best man that they possibly can?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 07:14 PM
8

On a related note, men are much more likely to get remarried than women are after a divorce. Women are also more likely to report that they never want to remarry. Men are more open to the idea. Also, women are much worse off financially then men after a divorce. Just something to think about.

If you are going to argue that a statement isn't true, then the statement can't be entirely meaningless. Like I can't simultaneously argue that "you are a blasphemer" is a meaningless statement and also that "you are a blasphemer" is a false statement. "You are a misogynist" is meaningless to some RPillers, but also just false to others. When BPillers say that "RedPillers are misogynists" they are directing this towards the latter group of people who actually care to argue against it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/16 07:03 PM

If some men want to get married (and also some women want to sleep around), then wouldn't there potentially be a lot of overlap between the sexual strategies of both sexes? Or do you think that these men and women are in denial of their true nature?

That might not be a bad idea. Don't they have something like that for theft? Robbing someone at gunpoint gets a harsher punishment than pick-pocketing a wallet. Similarly, they could hand out different sentences for rape and rape under threat of a deadly weapon, or rape plus assault.

Well if it was me, I would just admit that I am a blasphemer since I don't care anyways. Then the priest would shut up about it and we could move on to something else. If you truly don't care, then why not? But I think that RPillers actually do care. They know that if people think RPillers are misogynists, then this will call into question the objectivity of RP views. They don't want to be disounted as just a bunch of angry men who hate women, so that's why they argue that they aren't misogynist…

It wasn't a trick question. I was curious what you would think since there was alcohol involved. Maybe she had drunk sex with her bf's roommate and then lied to cover it up or something. And I think the situation you presented effectively highlights the reason why rape cases are so tricky. It all comes down to motivation. First we could ask, "If he could get sex from her anyways, what was his motivation to rape?" And then, "If he had no motivation to rape, then he must not have raped." But then …

Even cheating is just an aversion to cuckoldry. If you weren't afraid of providing for another man's child, you wouldn't care if she cheated. None of this is ultimately rational. For another example, men are still attracted to large breasts, even after knowing they are fake. The instincts are still there even if the original reason for the instincts is missing.

Considering that most frat guys don't have too much trouble finding consensual sex, real, clear, obvious rape by one of them isn't a common thing. It's hard to say. I've never seen BP challenge those particular two RP beliefs. I think most of us here agree that not putting women on a pedestal and outcome independence are good things, especially for men. However, I want to say that a non trivial number of RPillers literally say that women like to be treated like shit. Also a few RPillers believe that women need to be knocked down a peg. I'm not convinced. No one from TRP says "Women without college degrees should be shamed" even though a women without a college degree increases the chances of divorce and lessens relationship satisfaction. The reaction to sluts probably comes from some primitive aversion to raising another man's child. All rationalizations about sluts being bad long term partners is just a way to justify this aversion.

I see what you mean. Everyone feels like a victim and is trying to get revenge. The problem then is power. They feel powerless. So women weren't approaching hardly any men, even the attractive ones. Yet when women did send messages, they messaged average men even more than attractive men. What about how RPS used it here in his post above? Stop trying to dictate the debate, no need to tone police, the frustrations many men have in our increasingly misandrist society are central to the discussion. Especially if these men don't get to experience their privilege but get called entitled and shamed without a reason. I reject your shaming tactics, if you want to do anything else than laugh about the less fortunate members of society then I advice you to step down from the moral horse an…

I agree it is a matter of perspective. But I don't think women need to be brought down a peg. Women already do not think highly of themselves. They score consistently lower in measures of self esteem than men. They have higher incidences of depression and eating disorders. They ask for less money because they feel they deserve less money. Men of course have their own problems too, but you aren't helping men by hurting women. You are just kicking someone who is already down.

I think it could work. Women generally like being around people and are good at school. They could get the primary stable income, while the guy works on any creative business ideas he has from home. Also, can you imagine being a kid with a stay at home dad? Ten year old me is totally thrilled with this idea.

What percentage of men need to be having sex in order for the situation to be acceptable? Also how much sex and by what age? For instance, if 90% of men had 4 partners by the age of 30, would that be enough to make the situation fair?

Let's go back to high school for a moment. We have hot blond Stacey who has lots of friends and is dating a football player. We also have chubby Kevin with poor hygiene and no girlfriend. Now in a Hollywood movie Stacey would be a royal bitch and we would relish in seeing her get knocked down a peg. We would cheer for Kevin the kind hearted underdog. But in real life villians and victims aren't so clear cut. Maybe Stacey is doing her thing like everyone else, when Kevin decides to tell everyone …

Even though women can make their own money now, we still need men. We would get lonely without them. We need men to love us and kiss us and have sex with us. Our babies need dads and men are really good at that. We need someone to motivate us to take showers and brush our hair. We need someone to do crazy things and inspire us to take risks and be creative. I don't get why men can't see how awesome they are. You will never be disposable to us.

Let's evaluate what the actual threat is here. At worst, we will just have to live alone as old cat ladies. No one can realistically force us to be slaves or stay in the kitchen or become baby makers. We could live peacefully by ourselves, maybe with an occasional strap-on party. That's not too bad, right? But I think we both know that it will never really come to that. That's not the real threat here. So what is it? My theory is that we really want male approval. We look to men to determine how…

How would men feel about a complete role reversal? It seems a lot of men here feel burdened by the pressure to be successful or provide. They also do not seem to like the expectation to approach and perform when it comes to dating. So ignore how women would feel about this for a moment, and pretend it was actually possible. Would men be willing to take on the passive, supportive role? Would men be happy with this?

questioningwoman, you have one of the most feminine personalities I've ever seen on PPD. Of course I don't know what you are like in real life, but judging from your posts, you very much think like a woman. But to answer your question, you will drive yourself crazy looking to other people for approval, especially men on the internet. I need to stop doing this too, actually. Do you want to work on it together?

It's not just the left. It's our whole society. You can see the same sentiments expressed in TRP and Men's Rights. Even I feel this way. There is nothing good about being a woman except being sexy looking. Sexy goes away eventually, so the only thing we can do is to become as similar to men as possible while also looking sexy for as long as possible. That's what feminity has become. Modern day Feminism is about women having an identity crisis. We don't know who we are any more.

We can look up the statistics on this though. Sexual satisfaction in marriage declines slowly, and not abruptly over time. Source Previous research assumes that the quality of marital sex declines with marital duration. The empirical analyses of NHSLS data conducted in this study show that duration does have a small and negative effect on the quality of marital sex. That the coefficient for the quadratic term of martial duration is not statistically significant suggests that the quality of marit…

What happens is that she ropes the unsuspecting man in with hot sex, then as soon as the engagement is made, the wedding happens and the honeymoon is over, she immediately shuts off the sex spigot. She's gotten what she wanted (the ring, the status of being a Mrs.), and so now she doesn't have to "do that stuff" anymore. So you and I have 'seen' the same thing. We see couples that start out having a lot of sex, and this sex eventually goes away. This is the observation. Now let's look at the two…

Because I've seen it so many goddamned times. You've seen what exactly? I've only seen men complain that the sex fizzled out, especially after kids. I've never seen anyone say that the sex was never there from the beginning. If men are marrying women that never had passionate sex with them even from the start, well then I don't know what to say. People already select partners that they are attracted to, unless it's some sort of arranged marriage. Since attraction/arousal is almost always present in new relationships, it's not a useful metric to predict future relationship success or failure.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/16 04:10 PM
2

Why would divorces be negatively correlated with age at marriage, education, and income then? Shouldn't these not make a big difference if marriage success was just based on attraction? In fact, we would suspect younger people to be more likely to marry based on lust, so shouldn't young people have lower divorce rates instead of higher?

Look up the stable marriage theorem (numberfile video is good). Jack will end up with the best woman he can possibly get and Jill will end up with the worst man she can possibly get. You can create a computer algorithm that tries all possible matches, and this will always be the result if the man approaches.

Porn stars get married and have attractive/rich boyfriends. (Kim Kardashian for an example) Even strippers don't have a hard time getting a boyfriend. The reason that a natural would be better is because the natural doesn't come with the additional baggage found in TRP. For instance, he is confident and fun, but he doesn't need to believe that the woman he is with is a child. He thinks highly of himself, but he doesn't need to disparage women in order to do this. So what makes the natural better is the absence of certain beliefs about women that we find threatening and hurtful. It's not because we have anything against self improvement.

Right now people assume their relationships will last forever, so they never make plans for other outcomes, like divorce. By creating a mandatory expiration date for marriages, people will be forced to plan for this outcome. They don't have to divide assets unless they choose not to renew their contract. But if they do choose to let the contract expire, then they already have worked out how their assets will be divided. It's basically just a prenup for both parties.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/16 09:01 PM

I like the idea of marriage being a contract that only lasts either 5, 7, or 10 years, and then it automatically expires. You can choose to renew the contract at the end of this time period or not.

I think it's perfectly fine to discuss precautions or give practical advice on how to avoid being the victim of a crime. However, when it comes to sex and rape, this is not exactly what happens. PemBayliss, I am not blaming men for anything here. I was simply remarking on the existence of male role models and had no further point beyond that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 11:04 PM

I was asking to better understand ProtoPill's position, not present a position of my own. But there are actually two distinct questions here, "Are men choosing the wrong role models?" and "Do masculine role models exist?" One can answer yes to both without being contradictory.

If OP had asked, 'how can I be successful in the current hook-up culture', then you might have a point. But it seems to me that OP wants to avoid hookup culture. I am an expert at that. I've done it all my life.

How is there a death of male role models? Just about every new movie that comes out has a masculine male as the hero. The vast majority of everyone at the pinnacle of achievement, whether it be in politics, technology, or literature, is a man.

I'm not saying that there are only two options. OP brought up long courtships so that'a why I used that as an example. What is actually causing OP harm is the pain of rejection, and this won't go away even if people stop being promiscuous. I am not endorsing anything even indirectly. What I said is true regardless of how I personally feel about promiscuity.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 02:48 PM

You aren't trying to change the google definition, but this... Because I do not agree with RP that masculine - cruel, criminal, thug, low self-control etc. And do not want to be believed to be agreeing with or glorifying that. It's not a bad thing to do. The meaning of words changes all the time. But your new definition is so femcentric, that I don't think it will stick.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 05:42 AM
1

I think drokk was right and you recognize that manliness is something that men want to be, so you are trying to change the definition to something that you want it to be.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 05:06 AM
2

That would make sense, but I think it more often plays out the other way. The reason being is that there is an already established collection of traits associated with the word alpha. These other associations are so threatening to women, that they can't allow any positive traits being thrown into the mix. For instance, TRP is associated with the word alpha. Since TRP glorifies alphas, and TRP is bad, then alphas must also be bad. That's how BP reasoning goes at least. Edit: Nevermind. I just tal…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 04:49 AM
1

I wasn't sure if you were trying to describe an alpha in your post or just your ideal of a man. But yeah, I think you are glorifying alphas a bit. I never thought much about manliness or magnanimity. Are these qualities that you would like to have as a man?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 04:35 AM
1

I would say that anyone that defines alpha with good traits is pushing the male imperative and anyone who defines it negatively is pushing the female imperative. Beta is the reverse. Negative beta = male imperative, Glorified beta = female imperative. If it is a positive beta trait, you will see a lot of guys arguing that it's an alpha trait.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 03:46 AM
1

It's interesting that you think women are more logical. I don't think I've heard anyone argue this before.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 03:33 AM
1

I agree they are both wrong, but I also wanted to make clear that glorifying alphas isn't part of the female imperative. Alphas represent male power which is a threat to women. The female imperative would be to encourage men to be betas and pretend alphas are just dumb jocks.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/16 02:13 AM

I only ever see men glorifying alphas like this. BP just thinks alphas are guys that say, "you mad brah?" and over apply sunless tanner.

If someone abruptly turns their back to you, it's like being slapped in the face. It's abrupt and it makes you feel like a banana peel. It's much more intense and hard to receive. This has nothing to do with hookup culture. Promiscuity or not, she was just being a bitch.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/16 11:27 PM
10

So again it seems like you are saying that if promicuity wasn't so common or if women weren't lining up for attractive men, then they would be more likely to consider our nerdy friend. Do we have any reason to think that's the case? Has the percentage of male virgins increased along with promiscuity? Or would have those women rejected him regardless? I think an equally likely hypothesis is that there were just as many lonely virgins before. We hear more about them now because of the internet, bu…

Longer courtships evaluate people on many aspects of who they are, they aren't meat markets. It seems to me that the real harm caused to you was the emotional pain of rejection. You were rejected for superficial reasons, and this is why you are calling it a meat market. However, even without the superficial, meat market environment, the pain of rejection would still be there. It would hurt just as much. So it is actually the rejection that is causing you harm, not the promiscuity in particular. …

You would rather ask women on a date, go through a long period of dating, and then have her say no? I don't understand how the courtship period makes it any better. The rejection will hurt either way, and probably more so the longer the courtship. Now that I think of it, theoretically longer courtships would be better for women. They could secure commitment without giving up sex right away. Now if a girl doesn't have sex in a very short amount of time, the guy will just move on to a different gi…

I have a slightly different interpretation of what is going on here. First of all, I agree that BP has a set of prior beliefs in mind that they want to be true. I do not think that this is a characteristic specific to BP though. The idealism doesn't exist in reality. My argument is that it does exist in reality according to them. It only seems idealistic to the people who disagree with it. RP describes how things are and how we got there. According to RPillers of course. But from the BP perspective, RP views aren't representative of reality at all. We see them as more paranoid than realistic, just as RP sees us as more idealistic than realistic.

There are a couple things going on here. You are probably not always looking at the same women. Talk to the women who say muscles are gross. Are they currently with a muscular guy? If they are, just ask, "What about your boyfriend?" Women will never be able to actualize their preferences completely. I think one of the major problems with this type of thinking is that you are trying to make women into men. The payoff for idealism is not necessarily higher. The imagined payoff is, in the mind of the idealist, but if it is delusional, then it is worthless, even to him. Realism is taking a bet with better odds but a lower payoff. Idealism is taking the bet with lower odds but a better payoff. If you are poor, be a realist. Well if you define idealism as deluding yourself, then no one will admit to being an idealist. You have to make your definition a little more palatable. No one is pro-deluding yourself. I would say idealists are focused on abstract, lofty concepts and realists are focused on observables. So an idealist would aspire for something like world peace, but a realist would look around and say that's never going to happen.

The Blue Pill runs on sociological tropes. Not every Blue Piller agrees about every trope. "Be yourself." is a trope. "The goal of every person should be to find love." is a trope. "You should respect your partner as an equal." is a trope. "Make sure that you and your partner enjoy sex equally." is another. This is going to make me sound stupid, but I'm not sure what a trope is exactly even after looking it up. Is it just a condensed or figurative version of a longer, more complicated sentiment?…

Would you agree that RP doesn't particularly care if it is completely accurate because it is only supposed to be useful and not scientific anyways?

What do you think about my analysis of the fundamental psychology of both parties. It's an interesting thought and I will have to think about it more. It's hard for me to say because I acknowledge animal behavior and believe that it can be controlled. Maybe I am just more red on this particular issue though.

I meant the 80/20 rule as in 80% of women have sex with 20% of men, not the pareto principle in general. There is no scientific support that sexual behavior fits within the pareto distribution.

Come on now, the red pill has way more scientific support to at least point in their general direction if not actually back it up. Especially things like animal models and clinical research. RP has some scientific support, but science is not the foundation for their ideology nor their priority. Speaking about animal models, this is in my opinion the biggest divide between blue and red. TRP's know humans are animals like any other and react to certain things and in certain ways. I haven't seen mu…

The pareto principle is often used in business and economics, and has been proven many times over. It stems from the Pareto distribution, which has been cited numerous times in all fields of study. I don't understand what you mean by this. The normal distribution is used in many fields of study and has a wide range of applications. This does not prove or that it will apply to a different data set. You can't say that this mathematical model fits with these sets of data, so it must fit with this s…

Thank you for introducing some nuance, and I think that this also fits with what I was saying. I identify as RP partly because I tend to have a negative outlook on "people" in general, or at least have a "glass half empty" PoV with them. Put another way, I don't have much faith in humanity to be good and moral without being forced into it one way or another. Why does that make me RP? I would call this a side effect of your pragmatism. It is perhaps more efficient or safer for you to assume the w…

Though they act in accordance with things that have actual scientific support, as opposed to bloops' aimless emotions. Let me give an example recently brought up in another thread. The 80/20 rule has no scientific support that I know of. BP will reject it for this reason. RP will say that it doesn't matter if it is accurate, because it is a useful idea regardless.

Realists vs idealists is a good way of framing it. That's much more catchy too. Another good way to look at it is through the lens of Thomas Sowells "conflict of visions", in which rp would have a constrained vision of human nature and bp in constrained Can you elaborate? I'm not familiar with this guy.

Maybe we could have some core ideas posted on the sidebar, and then have each person color code their flair depending on which set of core ideas they agree with the most. We could create a survey with a collection of ideas to determine which ideas we should use.

The equivalence holds as long as we have two conditions. The man purposefully withholds information (being RP) because he knows thst... This information would potentially cause a negative reaction from the woman. It doesn't matter why she would have a negative reaction, only that she potentially would. A women who is faking orgasms is acting to produce the results that she wants. Maybe she wants her man to feel good about himself. Maybe she doesn't want him to become a pussy warrier. Maybe she is using him for his money. What makes this so similar to RP strategy is that she has to conceal certain truths about her behavior in order for it to work. RP does not apply their same pragmatic reasoning to female sexual strategy. When they talk about female sexual strategy, they use BP's idealistic reasoning. When they talk about male sexual strategy, they revert back to RP's pragmatic reasoning. They do not apply the same type of reasoning universally. Interestingly, the one man who used BP reasoning was a BPiller.

I read this somewhere too, but if I'm remembering correctly, the correlation was stronger for men. The reason was because men are better able to exchange their status for beauty. Women can make this exchange as well to some degree, but not as effectively as men.

Here is a summary to clarify. Red pillers in general are results-oriented in their ideology. Believing that women are stupid cunts works to get you laid is a RP belief. I used one Red Mod as an explicit example of this belief, but this view isn't specific to him. It isn't believed by all RPillers either. This belief is an example of how RPillers downplay any internal dialogue or beliefs and instead focus on the results. A woman lying about her orgasms is another example of this. I wondered if RP…

Because morality was not the point of my thread. I was interested in the consistency of RP ideology. I was trying to direct the conversation away from morality and back towards the point of my question. How would I be claiming a moral high ground when I personally admitted to lying about something equivalent in the past? I also said I was wrong for doing so. Everyone is most interested in the things things that affect them the most. I don't know why you have a problem with this.

You should have said that I don't care about Red pillers. Then I probably would have agreed with you. The cheating example was probably too extreme, so forget about that one. If she was lying about her orgasms, you would never know. You just think you have a great sex life with an attractive women. Similarly, accordingly to some RPillers, women never know they are dating RPillers. They just think he is a confident fun guy, not that he views her as a teenager or harbors any other various views towards women. What she doesn't know can't hurt her, right? Well why isn't it the same for men?

Because according to what some RPillers tell me, it just comes off as playful flirting. You would never be able to tell he is a RPiller. He is just a confident cool dude. They don't advocate being an actual asshole, because being an actual asshole doesn't actually work. Some girls stay with guys that treat them like shit, but so do a lot of men. Men are probably more guilty of this than women even. Women at least call the police occassionally when their spouse beats them. Men don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 07:05 PM

I'm not saying that it is a requirement, just a common RP belief. I also don't think RPillers are misogynists unless they tell me they are directly. Thanks for being honest though. You are one of the few RPillers that don't drive me absolutely insane. I appreciate consistency.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 07:02 PM

Because women DON'T want those things from their men. Women don't care if their men don't respect them and don't care if their men think they're annoying brats. Yes we do. That's why you would never tell a woman that you don't respect them or that you think she is an annoying brat. You know this would go down badly exactly because she does care.

Sure. This is a direct quote from you: "RP: Believe that the woman you are with is an entitled dumb cunt, because it makes you confident and being confident makes her want to fuck you." That was almost a direct quote from a RP mod which i linked, so how could it be a strawman? I gave several examples of RPillers saying exactly that. Thanks for your response. Would you say that "Believe women are stupid cunts and you will be more successful with them." is a RP view or am I just straw manning? I dismissed responses like "this quesion is ridiculous", but I didn't dismiss any legitimate responses to my question. Asking RPillers to explain their reasoningis not dismissing them. If you think men lying about reading and applying RP is equivalent to cheating, what about women who lie about their N count? Or say "you're the best I've ever had," etc? RP is not equivalent to cheating, but it's equivalent to women lying about orgasms. Lying about N count or "your the best I ever had" is the same too. It's all dishonest. We want to know. Tell us please. I want a relationship with a man that respects me and thinks I'm wonderful. I don't care how much omega I have to tolerate in order to get this. It is just as important to me as female orgasms are to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 05:40 PM

Because there's more to sex, love and relationships than a man just rubbing his dick in or on a woman until he ejaculates. A man wants his woman to want him. A man wants his woman to want to have sex with him. Women want their men to respect them and not think they are annoying brats. It's the exact same thing. I'm not sure why you don't understand?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 05:36 PM

/u/Archwinger can you back me up on this? Doesn't believing that women are dumbs cunts make your relationships with women better? I think you said this before but maybe I misunderstood.

The man never knows the difference and it's favorable to the woman because she gets to keep the man. Do you not see this is the exact same thing RP does to women?

The problem is, that it doesn't make for a healthy lasting bond/relationship. So if that's what she wants she's deluding herself that faking orgasms readily is a compatible strategy. Isn't this the exact same thing that BP says about RP? In a different context, this would be the stadard BP response. RPillers purposefully hide their beliefs about women from the women they are with. If a woman found out that the man that she loved thought of her as a dumb entitled brat, then she would feel betrayed and lied to.

I'm asking because RP believe in practicality over all. As long as the results are favorable, nothing else matters. In the case of a women faking orgasms, the results are favorable, so why would they care? Interestingly, most of them do care.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 02:23 PM

I don't think it's a bad question. I'm surprised that RPillers are saying they would care. RP is all about what works and what produces desired results. Why not also in this case?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 02:17 PM

Thanks. This is the answer I was expecting since it seems consistent with the RP way of thinking.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 02:12 PM

I was curious because a lot of RPillers are staunchly practical in their views. They only care about what works to produce a desired result. I wanted to explore this idea some. I don't plan on calling anyone a misogynist :)

You probably aren't from TRP subreddit then. When BP talks about RP, we mean the version found in TRP.

Not reproductively speaking. Each baby has one dad and one mom.

You wouldn't want to date a girl who fakes orgasming, like women wouldn't want to date a guy who fakes being charming and fun, when inside he thinks she's a dumb cunt. Rp usually argues that it doesn't matter what he believes on the inside, because women are attracted to the results. Since men prefer women who orgasm during sex, I was curious to see if RP also thought that faking orgasms was a good strategy for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 09:07 AM
3

Do you understand why women wouldn't want to date RP men then?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 08:50 AM
2

Wouldn't this also be true if the orgasms were real?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 08:49 AM
2

I don't agree with this, because when an individual of one gender wins, so must an individual from the other gender. It balances out. It's impossible for one gender to pull ahead because each baby requires exactly one man and one woman.

RP: Believe that the woman you are with is an entitled dumb cunt, because it makes you confident and being confident makes her want to fuck you. Woman: Attracted to confident man but does not know that he views her as an entitled dumb cunt. She would likely feel hurt and betrayed if she knew. RP man is being dishonest about his respect in order to produce desired results. Since the woman is happy. Why not? Woman: Fakes orgasms because it makes the guy stick around. Man: Thinks he is giving his w…

We are here to talk shit with TRPillers though. No one reads that other crap. No one cares because it's A) not on reddit and B) not blatantly misogynistic. This supports my point. If it's not women bashing, no one cares. Let me ask you this - do you hold the same opinion of RPW? That they are there just for the adversarial dialogue and woman bashing? RPW is not about women bashing obviously.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 08:25 AM

I'm seeing that in action. All the answers from RP are remarkably BP sounding. It's like each gender is RP with the opposite sex, but BP when it comes to themselves. Interesting.

Are you RP or BP? I can't tell by flairs on my phone.

A lot of women do this, so it probably has some benefit.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 08:04 AM

I think that you should be able to understand a lot of women's objection to RP then. Similar to you, if I found out that my boyfriend was RP, I'd feel betrayed. Not because he was a fake alpha, but because he was faking his respect for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 08:03 AM

Just assume she wants to stay in a relationship with him for whatever reason. Orgasms aren't that important to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/16 07:55 AM

I know that most BP people would certainly care, but I wasn't sure about RP. Do you think this would be a good strategy for women regardless of how you feel about it?

Sounds like fun. I have a few ideas. Next time you are in a grocery isle with a cute girl, wink at her and then slip a jar of mustard in your coat. On your next test, make sure the girl next to you sees you cheating. Start loudly saying racist and homophobic slurs in the company of women. Talk about how you are considering joining ISIS. Acheive bad boy status. Fight off all the HB10's throwing their vaginas at you.

Anyone can imagine me naked anytime they want. Or not. It doesn't matter to me. Right so NEVER tell her even if the man acts that way. If he must say it, discuss it in men exclusive groups. Strip away the antagonizing hyperbole, and BP would still fight against RP with the vengeance. I disagree. I don't think anyone would care. What does BP hate the most? Negative value judgements about women. Slut shaming. Calling women children. Calling single moms subhuman. Calling women inferior. Take this stuff away, and TRP wouldn't even exist. There have been several other attempts to remake TRP without the misogyny, and no one cared about them. They also all died out very quickly. Because m…

I somewhat agree. Women like masculine men, and men like feminine women. Not universally, but in general. However, I think that a lot of the things TRP talks about pertains to humans in general and not just women.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/16 09:29 PM
2

Nope. I wouldn't get offended, nor would any of my friends get offended. You say that, but so would women if you asked them. Like I said, in my experience people get defensive when they feel like they are being accused of something. Additionally, think of how emotional women are. They don't want solutions, they just want to emote. Like children. If you search for something about women that is childlike, you will find it easily. The same is true for any group of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/16 09:28 PM

This is what I've been saying all along. RP is factually relative. This wouldn't be a problem except they advertise as factual absolutists.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/16 09:23 PM

How would you know? You don't date men. Men don't like being accused of things either. They get defensive just like women. This is just human behavior, not female behavior.

I think men would enjoy to be treated like gods more than like a bratty child. It will be effective, but not as effective as if you use it on women. I'm sure it sounds good in theory, it sounds good to me too. But in practice, most guys find this incredibly annoying. At least that's been my experience. Weird, as if heterosexual sexual strategy doesn't want to fuck men. Why don't they promote going to a gay bar and getting fucked at the glory hole if that's such an effective strategy. (I am histr…

I would say that would work for men too, at least better than the alternative. Being accusatory is probably one of the worst things you can do in a relationship.

Since we seem to agree on all other points, why does TRP use the matrix reference? Wouldn't the red pill be just another useful lie? She doesn't. The only way she'll be able to figure that out is to get to know him. Which is why I'd suggest that jumping into bed right away probably isn't the best idea. In those first moments of meeting someone, you have NO IDEA what they are about. Any thought otherwise is foolish. That's a whole different topic, but do you agree with my point?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/16 08:47 PM
1

Sometimes you want her to do certain things, so you get her to do those things by treating her like she's an inferior brat. Can you give a specific example to show how this plays out?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/16 08:26 PM
2

Well yeah. Like most BPillers, I believed that RPillers mean what they say. You are telling me that it's all just useful lies and that you don't actually believe any of it. Then the problem gets reduced to a language issue, because you are using language in a way that is very confusing to outsiders (and even some RPillers apparently).

I read the no-maam blog. It seems very much to be making a factual (if not scientific) statement by explaining the differences in maturity between the sexes do to child rearing. Nothing in that blog said anything about 'this is just a heuristic to help you act more confident'. If you believe what you are saying, then would you agree that Chateau's heuristic would also work on men? Say I believed my boyfriend was a bratty little brother. In practice this would result in me teasing him playfully (…

Yes you can. The justification is that it works. Can you say that the audience enjoy being thought of as naked because thinking them as naked works? This is ridiculous right? The audience doesn't even know! Lol stop blaming just one half of the equation, the man, the other part is the women LETTING it work. Why is the woman LETTING herself be treated as...so you say..."inferior"? Hmm. What if it's not being inferior at all? How would she know she is being treated inferior if his outward behavior…

Strawman ahead: How you imagine that: "Stupid annoying cunt, stop talking, nobody wants to hear your annoying little problems" How it's actually done: Playful teasing, not taking everything to serious, just two people having a blast. Most of BP judges RP based on TRP subreddit. If you think that the posters over in TRP are largely wrong or 'morons', then you and I are on the same team basically. With that in mind, I can't say that anything you've written is true based on what I've seen in TRP subreddit. They argue that either society has conditioned women to behave like children or that women have no biological need to mature past a certain age. It is not obvious at all that they believe as you and I do.

If it works, what difference does it make? OK? If a guys goal is to get laid often, again I have to ask: what difference does it make if it works? It depends on what you are interested in. If you just care about getting laid and nothing else, then it probably makes no difference for you. However, if you are curious as to why these things work, or are interested in truth or a deeper explanation of gender dynamics, then it starts to matter. What about people who study the strategy involved in war? Many would argue that carpet bombing is an immoral strategy (or rather, an immoral tactic), but it's hard to argue that studying that tactic is itself immoral. Yep, that was exactly my point. I think the whole 'sexuality is amoral' and 'be selfish' is just helpful in that it stops RP guys from making covert contracts in their head. No one actually lives to the full extent of what these phrases might suggest. If you actually acted completely selfishly and amoral, no one would want anything to do with you. Also, I think the phrase 'the study of sexual strategy is amoral', is pretty dumb. Anything can be amoral if you simply rephrase it as 'the study of'. The study of rape. Amoral. The …

Women don't need other women to tell them about the worst parts of men, the world continuously reminds us of how useless, unwanted, and evil men are through media, social movements, laws, professional regulations etc etc. I don't believe this though, and I don't think most women do. Probably because it's an insecurity for women. We can't help but get older and we are afraid men won't love us anymore when that happens. The fact that older men chase after very young women is a painful reminder of this. I guess it a part of male nature that women don't particularly like so we try to shame it out of existance. It's also something very hard for us to understand, because we prefer to date someone close to our own age.

I've liked beta men ever since I was 14. I never went through an alpha stage.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 08:50 PM

Let's ask them. Do any of the self-proclaimed incels here want me to cheat or leave my boyfriend so I can give them pity sex? Or do you want to meet a girl that you like, likes you back, and have sex with her?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 08:48 PM
6

Let them decide that. I'm sure they want practical advice, but maybe they'd like to have someone to listen and empathize with them too. Even if they don't want anything I can offer, don't tell them that women won't empathize or sympathize with them and are disgusted by them if it isn't true.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 08:42 PM

I specified that they didn't want pity sex from a stranger over the internet which is largely true. Having sex with a hooker isn't pity sex. She is providing a service for money.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 08:35 PM

Let me be a woman. You can be a tough man and teach men how to spin plates or do whatever you want. But if I want to offer comfort, acceptance, friendship, and sympathy to lonely incel men, let me do that too.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 08:32 PM

Craiglist sex isn't pity sex. There's a difference.

You said that women can't empathize with them and offer them sympathy. I am offering them empathy and sympathy right now. Heck I'd probably even sleep with them except I'm currently on a one man per lifetime policy. You are right I can't offer them any practical advice. I suck at social situations. I have no clue how to help them. I barely have any friends myself. So I wouldn't be friends with them out of pity. I would be friends with them because I genuinely like and care about them and appreci…

If I ever see a woman saying this I'll call her out too. I usually only see RP men shitting on Beta men. When I made a thread on how beta men were attractive all the women who responded actually agreed with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 08:10 PM

They don't want to have sex with me. They want to meet a girl who they like and who likes them back, fall in love, and have meaningful sex. They don't want pity sex from a stranger over the internet. Can I give any useful advice to these men? Maybe some, but probably not much. Does this mean I am disgusted by them and think they are weak and pathetic and don't give a fuck about them? No. You are telling them that they are somehow lesser men. Not me. I don't agree to your sentiments. Not at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 08:05 PM
4

Remember that this is TRP telling you this, not women. I empathize with incels. I think a lot of women do. There is nothing I can do to change the plight of lonely men, but I can offer them friendship. I can listen when they need someone to talk. I just want any man who might be reading this to know that I am not disgusted by you and I don't think less of you because you are 'weak'. It's RP that's telling you that you are shit for a man. Not me. Not women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 07:42 PM

I don't care about a man's status either. In fact I exclusively date men with lower status than myself. However, I still recognize that status is important to most women, because we know this through actual statistics.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/16 05:30 PM

I'll admit it. Women prefer men from their own status or above. This is not news to me. I think it's the smart way to go actually.

Last post before I go to bed. The majority of women do no divorce rape their husbands. In fact, if you marry a woman with a college degree, the probability of your marriage lasting 15+ years is around 80%. source When you consider that only a portion of the remaining 20% of divorces are initiated by women, and even a smaller portion of these divorces could qualify as 'divorce rape', we would have to conclude that this is behavior is not true for the majority of women. The majority of women do no…

1) There is plenty of scientific evidence for much of what TRP teaches. You can look up many of the main tenets of TRP on google scholar and find plenty of scientific journal articles on the matter. You just got to use the correct scientific terms (not the RP jargon and shorthand). Doing that is what lead me to create this thread actually. I looked up the statistics and found that TRP actually describes the minority of women and not the majority. It's not a strawman, because people are arguing t…

You don't understand my argument then. Look at the example I gave. We know that most women do not chase after convicts. Yet the fact that some women chase after convicts is used to generalize the behavior of all women. I'm giving a specific reason why RP generalizations are wrong. It's not just because the Bible says so.

The main thing I disagree with is "All humans are manipulative and scheming, therefore I am more deserving of respect." If all humans are like that, then it would follow that you are as equally undeserving of respect as anyone else. This might not be useful to you, but it would still be true.

Lots of TRP and pillsphere stuff reminds you of all of the negatives women have which help to depedastalise them. It also does this for men, humans in general, reminding me that human nature is very dishonest and scheming and teaching me why to respect myself way more and other less, and giving me ideas about how to test if this is true. Leading me to find that I am infact happier when I respect myself more and other less. If all humans are 'dishonest and scheming', then that would mean that I a…

Even those bp spins are generally more shallow versions of the rp concepts. Discussion of "leagues" are generally intuitive and don't go into the details of why these leagues might exist. 70% of divorces are initiated by woman also, and that is a hard fact that's been studied and often cited in TRP. Only 40% of first marriages end in divorce. 70% of divorces are initiated by women. Let's be generous and say that 90% of those divorces were for purely trivial reasons (like not for cheating or heavy substance abuse). Say only 40% of these cases would even qualify for alimony (which is probably way too high). Only 5% of divorce cases even make it to court (just a stat I pulled from g…

Women date attractive men from their own social class, and settle for less attractive men when it comes time to marry. And like I've said several times in this thread, if you are just interested in what is practical or useful for you, then I have no (philosophical) problem with this. So RPillers are typically the type of person who searches for the most factually absolute answer, but no one in this thread is arguing for that position except me, a BP woman? One of the founders of TRP wrote this thread which was one of the most upvoted threads of all time on this subreddit and put in the depth hub on the sidebar. RP people generally bring the following assumptions to a debate: They believe that there is exactly one reality, and that truth is what accurately describes that reality. The better a statement describes reality, the more true it is. They are factual absolutists.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/02/16 07:11 PM

That's not the point of my post. So RP men aren't willing to put up with the some of the negatives of women. That's their prerogative. It doesn't bother me any. What bothers me is when people say things that aren't true, especially when they also claim to be factual absolutist and claim to describe reality the way it really is. What you've just described to me is a value-based truth system. You don't care if women are actually like that most of the time, because you don't even want to put up wit…

This is all well and good, except RP claims to be a perspective based on truth. It's in their name. It's in one of their most upvoted threads of all time in this subreddit. Where does this idea go whenever anyone asks them to back up their claims? Notice how quickly the story changes from 'RP describes reality' to 'well it might not be entirely true, but it worked for me'. That's not factual absolutist. That's my only problem here. Don't claim to be factually absolutist if you are not.

I partially agree with you, but I would say that it's RP not BP that uses exceptions to prove the rule. They look at atypical examples of female behavior instead of typical behavior. But other than that, I agree. It's RP that's factually relative and BP that factually absolute. I could say being an asshole is a sexually successful and I'd still be correct. The house wins most of the time, so you could say that this is roughly true if not literally true. However, the same can not be said for a lot of RP claims because they aren't even true most of the time. The second obviously isn't true. Businesses don't even really follow this rule as a heuristic.

Wealthy women will date/fwb lower class men for tingles. Some women or most women? Some of the time or most of the time? If you say that most wealthy women will sleep with someone from a lower social class most of the time, then you can't really say that women are hypergamous can you? Also, women think having a bachelor's in sociology makes them upper middle class at least. Where are you getting this from? Each man is different. If anything it should be recognisable that women seem to lack a lot more individuality than men... I think it's the opposite when it comes to sexual attraction. Women like men of all different ages and appearances. Men almost universally like young, slender women with feminine faces. I think these things, whilst being presented in good humour, make women look like the butt of the joke. As if women need to lighten up. What? Women shouldn't lighten up or should lighten up?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/16 07:22 PM

It's still a distinctly masculine look. I kind of like balding men, but maybe that's just because my boyfriend is balding. He is really insecure about it, but it doesn't bother me at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/16 07:04 PM

Then what's the point of saying it? It's like saying the study of murder is amoral. Well yeah, that's a given.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/16 06:39 PM

It's nothing to be proud of, but nothing to be ashamed about either. Men also require more than just sex, food, and no nagging, even if they don't admit to it.

The excitement and money doesn't matter much. It's the status that's important in my opinion. Doctors have a very high status profession.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/16 09:27 PM

Good point. I'm not on BC right now but when I was I got even hornier. I wanted to have sex with my boyfriend all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/16 09:25 PM
1

Why? Just a hunch. There is no clear distinction between Alphas and Betas. It feels forced. For one thing, I'm not sure you have a clear view on the whole "alpha/beta" thing, at least from my perspective. Which is okay, because A) a whole lot of TRPers don't necessarily, either, and B) even those that do often play fast and loose with the model (as you can once you truly understand what it is). There are as many definitions of alpha and beta as there are red pillers. I just picked one. The fact …

Why would I only seek out and date beta men then?

I was thinking of the bower bird. Chimps also sneak off and have sex with the beta males too I think.

Probably some among the women who know him, but I can't say for sure.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 07:50 AM

Maybe but money is even less of an indicator of genetic quality, so I think it better fits in the provider category. How does your definitions fit into human evolution?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 07:44 AM
2

"Best"? Maybe. Most accurate? Certainly not. I don't think there are many models in the social sciences realm that are both simple and describe a wide range of phenomena. It's just an intuition. There's a difference between letting reality create the model and forcing a model on reality. I think this whole alpha beta thing looks more like the latter. They are, in the sense that ensuring parental investment is part of the mating strategy (something that Mother Nature has accounted for with biolog…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 07:06 AM

I think that's what it is too, but I would call status a beta trait. You'd probably call it alpha.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 06:56 AM
1

So, to try to bring clarification to this, having money, for example, is an alpha marker. The willingness to share money is the beta marker. But if this were all it was, then why is a doctor more arousing than a man who has a different job but makes the same amount of money? A lawyer for instance? Arguably, a lawyer should be more arousing because he has a more exciting job. I think women would still prefer to sleep with the doctor though, even for a one night stand.

You don't think the current college hookup culture isn't at least partially fueled by alcohol? I'll trust you on this because it's not my scene. I'm just going off what I've heard.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 06:39 AM
1

I think most of the celebrities women swoon over are pretty beta in personality. It's the alpha personality that's overwhelming. Also, I'm just talking about myself now, not all women. I know some women really like alpha men, but I don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 06:38 AM
1

But, notice, even by your own admission, your "beta" still needs to be stimulating at some level. He needs some qualities that aren't reflected in the "mature" (I kinda hate that word), responsible, dependable guy. My argument is that the beta traits are stimulating. Not as stimulating as alpha traits, but for some women that's too much stimulation anyways. It's similar to how I am attracted to hot party girls (or whatever - the classic Freudian "whore" archetype). Love 'em. They are sexy as hel…

I think the main culprit of casual, high risk sex is not women who like thrills so much as the chemically produced comfort that comes from over indulgence in alcohol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 06:11 AM

What is exciting for some people is over stimulating for others.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 05:57 AM

Some red piller and I were discussing this on another thread and he told me that good genetic quality was alpha and being a good provider was beta, so that's why I said having money was beta.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 05:56 AM
2

I think men can easily separate love and lust, but for women it's not so clear cut. It doesn't ring true for me, because any RP explanation I've heard gets very complicated as soon as any degree of nuance is introduced. Alpha and beta become 5 different categories and then there are high dominant women who want low dominant men and low dominant women who want low dominant men but have a high dominance threshold, and so on. The best models are both simple and describe a wide range of phenomena. T…

In my experience men go heavy on the beta traits at the beginning of the relationship, but then taper off as the relationship progresses. Have you never seen this?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 05:35 AM
2

Ok what about this theory? What if the threshold for a man being stimulating is lower for some women? These women find beta men to produce just the right amount of stimulation and they find alpha men to be too stimulating. This seems to fit with my experience. Outgoing, dominant men are more anxiety than arousal inducing. Do you think this could be a possibility? Edit: I forgot to respond to the last part. What about women who like having hot monkey sex with betas?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 05:30 AM

If I read all that on a dating site, I would assume you were too good for me honestly. I never meet men like you, so I wouldn't know how you could find women like me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 05:21 AM

Sorry I was getting confused with another conversation in this thread. You think a DJ is more arousing than a doctor?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 04:32 AM

His wife probably has done this.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 03:19 AM

Ok, I'm just asking out of curiousity now. What signals do you send to women that they could read as this guy is mature, stable, and would make a good father?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 03:15 AM
2

How can you say that women aren't more aroused by the idea of sleeping with a doctor than a banker?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 03:09 AM

I think I actually did see him in /r/ladyboners. But obviously if he wasn't Bill Gates, then no. But since he is Bill Gates, then yes. His status makes him attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 03:07 AM
2

Why are you making it so that beta has to be boring? You are warping the definitions so that beta=bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 03:03 AM

Why would begging for attention and not showing aggression in the face of danger be beta traits? How could that possibly increase the chance of my offspring's survival? As for the rest, sure as long as it's in moderation.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 03:01 AM

If a woman could have an unwitting cuckold as a provider, and an alpha male donating genes, without much risk, why wouldn't she? Theoretically speaking yes. But this is the same thing as saying if men could cheat on their wives without much risk, why wouldn't they? There is significant evidence of past hypergamy and polygamy. Polygamy was probably set up by the parents, not the woman. The universe of alphas and providers is thus not strictly disjoint. However, most provider males (the stupid car…

I respect that, but the reason I'm sharing this is because the whole AF/BB story never rang true for me. It doesn't fit with any current information we have on animal behavior and evolution, it doesn't fit with the correlates of divorce, it doesn't fit with women's experiences. The support we have for BB is what exactly?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 02:52 AM
3

I didn't give women any "quirks". I'm describing what I see them do. That's all. What actual behavior do you see that supports your view? Women have their own money and resources now. Women do not need the money or resources of beta men to support themselves or their offspring. That's something that's unique to women now - they don't need beta men to provide money or resources. They still like beta traits. It's not just about money. These women are coupling with beta men and gathering, accumulat…

This doesn't make sense to me. Take two identical men. Make one a doctor and one a DJ, or something else. The doctor is going to inspire more lust, just because he is a doctor. Take two identical dick pics. One is from your husband, one is from a stranger. The one from your husband is going to be more arousing than the one from the stranger. Take two identical porno's. How do your friends look for women? How are you defining beta? Does it all come down to assets, or is there something else? If so, how much does a man have to earn to make a good provider? Beta is just being a good husband and dad. Responsible, mature, emotionally stable, dependable job, loving, socially secure, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 01:15 AM
2

Treated me with respect, showed vulnerability, somewhat shy and cautious, responsible, interested in family and not partying, emotionally stable, came from a family with values similar to my own, and had a dependable job.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 01:08 AM
2

For me, he just has to have a stable job, because there are other beta qualities that I find much more important. Emotional stability and maturity for an example. And he also has to be really into me, which I think is somewhat of a beta trait.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 01:01 AM
2

Ok, so let's play your game and say beta traits are necessary for comfort and comfort is necessary for sexual attraction. Why not just eliminate the middle step and say that beta traits are necessary for sexual attraction?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 12:59 AM

Qualities that would make a guy a good provider and dad. Status and resources are obvious ones, but also emotional stability, maturity, responsibility, and kindness.

If there is such thing as beta fucks, then why does TRP say that women aren't sexually attracted to beta men?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/16 12:41 AM

I don't know. That's not particularly relevant to me. I know and care only what human females do and display. You don't think it would be strange for human female to have this unique quirk where they weren't actually sexually attracted to the mates that would give their offspring the best chance of survival? It seems like the only reason you would want to give women this quirk is to fit your particular story. And what human females do and display is having sex with alphas (high arousal) for as l…

These portion of women I knew, never did anything to go out of there way for me. They may have thanked me, but never anything else. So is BP right when they say RP has hot girl goggles? I meant to say that most women meet their husbands when the women are still in their prime (early to mid 20's). The average is around 23-25 I think. Men peak a little later than this. And actually the longer the woman waits, the less likely she is to get a divorce, which seems to contradict the whole beta bux narrative.

You have exchanges of interactions with your boyfriend, many of which I assume are positive. You are getting other things in return from him, be it sex, love, connection, besides him cooking for you. You also have a relationship with these girls, just not a romantic one. They were offering something in exchange, if only just companionship and validation. I highly doubt that they did absolutely nothing for you, especially if you directly asked. Say you just texted them something like, "Hey, I'm f…

We are not talking about a relationship here. We are talking about some girls I knew in a college class. You have an emotional connection and relationship with your boyfriend. But it seems this would be even more true for men than it would for women since men base the majority of their attraction on physical appearance. If a woman's ex is more physically attractive, then this doesn't necessarily mean that he is more attractive to her than you. It's very probable that you make up for your physical shortcomings in other ways. This is less true for women however. If this is the case, then if anything it should be women who should be worried about the attractiveness of th…

To be precise I believe that free will, like many other ideas in metaphysics, is a meaningless concept. The reason is because it is self referencing. Like if we define cat as cat, the word cat becomes meaningless because our definition is circular. I think free will is defined in much the same way. Every definition of it that I've seen essentially just says that free will is the ability to act freely, which is essentially saying that free will is free will. It's meaningless.
