Yes 100%! But you can’t expect to be too busy for 2 months without raising doubts. It takes some reassurance from a guy as well.

he can't have her having any doubts in him ever That's a tad unrealistic, I think.

Maybe you'll like this article . A quick TL;DR: 1) lose at a slow and steady pace, 2) start weight training to make sure you don't lose muscle mass. Edit: also maybe check r/progresspics. There's a lot of people on there who have lost significant amounts of weight.

The give and give, not give and take Ah okay, so he is working on recovering, that is good. I saw that someone already recommended the codependency subreddit, and I think it would be a good place to start. The book Codependent no more by Melody Beattie is heavily recommended on the sub. I think you might be able to get something out of it, in case you haven't read it yet. Not trying to say that there's anything wrong with you, just that relationships that involve addiction are usually (heavily) …

Just a quick heads up: your comment history still shows that you are actually the ex in this story.

Depending on your height and current weight most women should be eating less that 1400 calories per day. Well, the average woman's base metabolic rate is 1400. I don't think anyone would recommend eating under that. For the rest I agree with cocovioletta on using IIFYM: being a little more flexible while still keeping track of calories can help a lot in preventing cheating.

This sounds like exactly the same story as was posted here (and in 4 more subreddits) a few days ago from the perspective of the guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/AITA/comments/9wy13l/aita_for_playing_video_games_on_date_night_and_my/

In a way it sounds to me like he doesn't really want you to be a mother, even though he wants to be a father. Personally, I find both conditions shocking. Has he thought about what this would be like for the child? Are you guys going to lie about the pregnancy or honestly disclose that some random stranger carried him or her for money because daddy didn't want mommy to be less attractive?

I powerlift and I did the Strong Curves program for a while to focus on my glutes (since they were holding me back). Imho Bret Contreras knows his stuff and this program is solid, and based on both science and his experience as a trainer. From what I remember the first phase does consist of a looooot of reps with relatively lower weight, mainly to improve mind muscle connection and to get used to the movement patterns. In the later phases he makes you do lower reps with more weight. I did really…

Probably if I were you I would continue working out (like suggested before, doing strength training), since it seems to be paying off for your lower body already. Imo it is quite normal to have some areas that are a little more stubborn (Lord knows my hamstrings didn't start co-operating until I was about 2 years in). For your goals I'd say it would be good to keep eating around your maintenance calories, so an amount of calories on which your weight stays the same, but upping your protein intak…

Yes, thank you for understanding. I do definitely try to keep myself satisfied. If I wouldn't do that I would have gone mad by now haha. But that sounds like a good approach, I appreciate it. And I think three months is reasonable. If this is just the way it's going to be I am simply not going to be satisfied, but I want to give it some more time to improve.

Well, then it must be the criticising. I know that look and smell aren't an issue. I don't think I have betrayed his trust lately. At one point I did check his browser history when I knew that he was lying to me, but that was a long time ago and we talked that out. I am pretty sure that that was the only thing I have ever done that might have betrayed his trust.

I have to say that he really made me feel like the most attractive girl in the world. We used to exchange a lot of cheeky text messages throughout the day and have sex about 3-4 times a week. He used to compliment me on my looks all the time at the beginning of our relationship, even though I look a lot better now. I guess that's also why it stings a little bit extra.

Thank you! Has meditation helped you a lot? I notice that it helps me a lot in not acting on my feelings straight away.

Thank you for your take on it! I think I make it very clear to him that I enjoy having sex with him, and I don't think he doubts it. I do understand your point though, it must be incredibly unappealing to be with someone who doesn't seem to like what you are doing. I have offered to give him blowjobs many times, and got rejected many times. I agree with the not putting additional pressure on it though. I guess this is also why I am not initiating as much anymore. In my previous relationship I wa…

He usually does reject me, that's why I dialed down the initiating. It usually makes me feel worse than not bringing it up altogether.

I agree, the advice was solid. I just would have hoped to see a little bit more result, but maybe I am being too impatient. I am quite anxious when it comes to this relationship, yes. Whenever my bf gets mad he loses his temper and says a bunch of horrible things. Even though I know that it's the anger speaking I do carry them with me and they do hurt my feeling quite a bit. And they do definitely make me feel anxious. I think I am taking care of myself and I do meditate, which I enjoy a lot. I …

Pet parenting has definitely been a challenge, yes. We chose to adopt a stray, but there have definitely been more problems than anticipated. I think working on those problems together has definitely helped us. I have told him it was my fault for not speaking up about it and that has definitely helped fix the situation. For the rest the dog is well cared for by us. We have asked for the help we need. We have both raised obedient dogs in the past, so I have no doubts about our capabilities as pet…

Thank you so much! And you are right, it is exactly that thought pattern. I have actually read the book, but I think I should re-read it hahaha. I always find it hard to recognize my own thoughts. In the end I explained to him that I didn’t mention it because I didn’t want to create a negative vibe, but that I realize that I should have just asked him about it or told him that the dog was in his room. He actually said that he understood that and that he was sorry about being mean to me. Without …

I think you are completely right. To avoid sounding like a nag I just don't say anything anymore, which led to this miscommunication.

I have two sisters who are vets. They recommended spaying her after the first heat. I followed their advice. She is crate trained. She sleeps in it in the same location. He can take her to work all the time. His employers actually also have a dog that they take every day. I am in contact with my vet, since it's my sister ;) We are looking to buy a house. This also is one of the reasons why she isn't spayed yet. We have to go up one flight of stairs and I don't want her to have to do that after h…

Yes, that is true. Communication is definitely non-existent. I do think I am probably extra on edge because I got cussed out by my boss today and I miss my bf to talk to about it. In the end I didn't say anything and cooked him dinner by the way.

No, not yet. Because she destroyed the couch before We haven’t because my bf can take her to work and then she doesn’t have to be alone at all. Yes We are renting. Luckily, I put in the floors.

The issue being that my bf didn't put the crate in its place one time? This is an actual question btw, not me being defensive. I just thought that it would be better to not mention it straight, because I figured he must have been in a hurry or something, since it had never happened before. I know I didn't mention it, but he was the one saying we should stop talking. I just agreed to it.

Saying he was right would be a lie though, from my perspective. Could I say I understand his point and frustration?

Yes, he does work. He naps during the day when he works mornings and evenings (for instance 7-12 AM and 5-9 PM). I guess what I try to do is take responsibility for my part in the issues in our relationship, but I might at times take it a little bit too far.
/r/RedPillWomen12/09/18 04:51 PM

Well, he told me that in the middle of the day he uses it so he can go nap. For the rest I don't get much out of him tbh. He gets defensive quite quickly, which is probably partially causes by my attitude. I am definitely open to discussing things. 99% of the time when I bring something up it's because I want to understand.

Thank you for your response! I think you just pretty much explained the internal struggle I keep having in situations like these. There's my gut feeling that's screaming that something is off and I have every right to at least start a conversation about it. Then there's this side of me that is incredibly scared of him shutting me down as soon as I bring the subject up. It is a conversation that we have had in the past. For as far as I know in the past he used to watch porn every now and then. Th…

Thank you! I especially like the first one actually. I never really thought of it that way. I do try to state things from my perspective, but not quite as well as in the first example. I think that one really emphasizes that it’s my problem. That the action in itself is not necessarily bad or wrong or whatever but that it just makes me feel a certain way. I will remember it :) I will let you know how things go!

I think from reading all of your comments I feel that things like the porn watching are probably fair to bring up when I know I am not the cause of it. I do see now that it is foolish that I cause the relationship to go awry when it comes to intimacy and then complain about the consequences of it (in turn, making it worse). Probably most things that I bring to his attention are consequences of the lack of intimacy in our relationship now that I think about it. I do really like to believe that he…

Hmm I see your point. That we have different attachment styles is definitely true. I am pretty sure I am quite anxious, while he is more avoidant. I know that this is not the easiest combination at all and it will continue to take a lot of work.

Thank you! It is good to read that from someone who has been in that position. I can understand your point completely. I don't think it matters how physically attractive I am, as long as he doesn't feel attracted to me as a person it will probably stay like this. It is giving me hope that it might change over time and I thank you for that :)

That is a great tip, thank you. You are completely right about that. Plus, I want him to want to give me attention and affection, if you know what I mean. That he doesn't just comply with me to avoid nagging, but that he actually wants to out of his own free will. And you are right that asking for it has only made my chances smaller.

Thanks so much for your reply! I feel like I have taken a few steps already. I have literally never turned him down in two years, he knows that I will always say yes. I used to initiate quite often (80% of the time), but after a while I noticed that the constant rejection got me feeling really bad about myself. I have also offered to watch porn with him, which he seemed to feel weird about. I myself watch it often as well, since his sex drive is a lot lower than mine and I don't want to get crab…

Yes. You are completely right. I guess right now the only thing I don't find great is the way he treats me, but I know that I caused that by my own behavior and will not change unless I do.

I think it is a combination of bringing up issues that aren't worth bringing up and bringing it up the wrong way or time. In the past I have complained about his spending time with a female client, which is ridiculous. I know 100% that he is faithful and it was just me being annoying because I felt insecure. Other times I think it wasn't so much the fact that I brought something up (for example my wish to have sex more often, to go out on dates every now and then, to celebrate my birthday), but …

Thank you! Things I bring up are usually minor, like that he watches porn every day but doesn't have sex with me that much. (And no, I did not snoop to figure that out) They are not major issues, just things that trigger my insecurities and feelings of inadequacy. In this case I just wanted to understand and asked him why he does it, which ultimately is none of my business.

Thanks you so much! I notice that I am struggling a lot in relationships and I feel like I just don't understand a lot of stuff. I feel the need to have very clear cut rules that I can follow and the one you provided is exactly what I needed. And also makes me realize that probably in 0 of the cases was I in physical or emotional danger.
