Nice try, troll.

Given the misspellings in the original Reddit post, it seems to me that the person should be more concerned that his/her son and his friend get a better education than s/he did than about the disciplinary policies at the school ...

Did you really just imply that the ten year-old was dressed like a whore and deserved to be made to feel uncomfortable? ಠ_ಠ

feminism only addresses female rights, and is perfectly happy (in the definitive and social senses) with areas where men have inferior rights. Well addressing one's issue is sort of the point of issue-based reformers/protestors/etc. If they truly are happy about issues with men's rights, than that's a problem, but I think that we both know that that's not the case with 99.9% of true feminists. In previous generations this was somewhat more reasonable as women really did need better social rights…

Wow ... wow. You just described some warped, extreme, almost psychotic viewpoint that no doubt exists in certain, few individuals, but you can't argue that it represents mainstream or majority feminism with anything but anecdotal evidence. I expected this subreddit to be filled with all sorts of bitter, angry misogyny, and I've actually been pleasantly surprised by some of the comments here and some PMs that I've gotten, but this comment is just crazy.

I am under the impression that it means the belief that women are equal to men and should be afforded equal rights, opportunities, compensation, etc. As I understand it, to be against feminism would be to suggest that women deserve inferior rights, etc.

You believe that the supposedly all-powerful rights of women to screw men over just because are more powerful than good lawyers?

Feminist ... you keep using that word ... I do not think you know what it means.

The first sentence of your reply contains a misspelling of the contraction "you're" and misunderstanding of whether or not I "asked my girlfriend what to post" (I didn't, and I didn't claim to have). The third sentence is a sad screed of a run-on sentence that doesn't make sense but does contain the correct usage of "your" (so I know that you know how to use it). Finally, the closing is embarrassingly juvenile text-speak that implies that you're either a teenager who's already soured on women or…

Just came across this subreddit and read this post first. Is this typical of /r/mensrights? Disclaimer: I'm a heterosexual male who doesn't hate women, so maybe I don't get it. I had to comment, though, because I read the post and this comment aloud to my girlfriend with a combination of bemusement and amusement, and she made a great point: if one looks at reality (and not just cherrypicked news articles and self-selecting posts to this subreddit), one might say that getting married as a woman c…
