My general takeaway is that, if I want sex with my wife, I need to be on top of things ALL THE TIME, which means gaming her (of course), keeping our emotions in check, and keeping things running smoothly This is the most important thing you've learned, friend. It's not going to change. The difference is in how you look at it. From the right perspective, it's a blessing, because it means her attraction is just another reflection of your own value. From the wrong perspective, it's a mercy fuck for…

Hence the lack of responses you got. Dude it is is my preference to shout into the void. I've got way more responses than I would like already. Why I usually just process this stuff on my own rather than share it here.

Pretty sure the moderator collective is the authority. Pretty sure I find that terrifying in a few cases (it's really what I was hinting at in the first place), but it's absolutely a valid point.

I have read this before but it is a good reminder and there's a lot to chew on in that post. Mostly I'm just bummed Ironwood isn't around because he had some useful stuff to say - maybe he was being a PC baby, maybe he wasn't. I wasn't there so who knows what the real narrative is, really. Thank you for being insightful and reasonable as always, it's appreciated.

Personally I don't talk to people in locker rooms. Buncha naked dudes in there. What am I, a faggot? I'm not on some social justice crusade. TBH the entire Ironwood comment was off topic and pointless anyway. I just find it interesting that Ironwood got ran out of town over here over going against the orthodoxy is all. He had a lot more to contribute than some people who stuck around. Since I brought it up I personally find the faggot thing to be low-class and cringey, like white dudes calling y…

Not sure what porn and not being being homophobic have to do with each other. EDIT: Come to think, IIRC he's got a screenwriting cred on IMDB for Adam and Eve films. Seemed to me like he wrote softcore stuff for them, and played it up as more than that. Guy's good at marketing.

Oh, another recommendation on my last pass of rereads, The Ironwood Collection of Alpha Moves is fucking great too. It's a shame he ended up bailing out of here because he stood up against people calling each other faggots. (Guess what? He's right. You can be RP and not be homophobic. Just ask /r/altTRP. Who knew?)

OYS 13 1/2: McPherson's Rant Still on my path. Bit swamped right now so just a quick rant, if you don't mind. Last OYS I talked about moving beyond the playbook and finding your own path, being your own point of origin. I want to say something more specific about that, after going back and revisiting most of the sidebar. One sidebar author is a married dude who lost his virginity to his wife and doesn't lift. Rereading his first book is mostly sad and cringey. And sure, a lot of people start wit…

Whoa. What exactly are you proving by spending that much effort on a random post from Medium? Get out of her frame, dude. [EDIT] Also, that post being in the top Google results has bupkis to do with how many clicks it has had, it has to do with how Medium as a site overall is weighted in Google's algorithm. Nearly every one of those lifts puts you at somewhere between an intermediate and advanced lifter, and your squat puts you between advanced and elite. I mean, hell, you're 30 lbs shy of a 1000lb total. That's a hell of a lot of progress for 18 months, starting at zero, at 35. You may just be a natural, and if so congrats. But in this sub people spend a lot of time lying to themselves and each other, so I'd be an idiot not to call it out. If legit numbers, then dude, just eat more and keep liftin…

Bench 230lbs, Squat 365lbs, OHP 160lbs, Deadlift 215lbs At 5' 10 and 165lbs, after lifting for 18 months? You have either a flair for embellishment or some weird asymmetries and a base you built back up from.

Oneitis you've already gotten good advice about. The mate guarding on the dance floor made you look weak, it was poor form. It may have even tipped the scales. If he wasn't a threat, you wouldn't give a shit. My wife once spent half the night dancing with a guy with MS who was in a wheelchair. Do you think I reacted the way you did about it? One reason not to get too drunk in social settings is so you can maintain frame and be a notch above the rest of the room. Can't hold your frame if you can'…

You're young enough your skin will likely still have a lot of elasticity. Even if it doesn't, the surgeries are pretty simple, had a friend go through it after gastric bypass. Even outside of that, you need to take charge of your health before it starts to create risks that will affect you the rest of your life like T2 diabetes, heart disease, hormonal and thyroid issues, etc, etc. In this whole "body positive' culture we're living in we seem to have forgotten that being obese is not good for yo…

I'm a 43 year old dude. I'm honestly not particularly attracted to younger women, for all the same reasons you're not attracted to older men -- no common ground, etc. I've generally outgrew the just fucking / purely physical stuff at this point in my life, I'm not interested in one night stands and frankly women in their 20s are pretty damned boring. Do I still admire a fine female form? Sure. But I'd still have been way more likely to flirt with your sister. That said, it's still a truism that …

Get an opinion from a sports medicine doc. Every injury, every surgery, most docs tell you not to lift. They're not always right. And even then there are a shit ton of lifts that don't engage the erector spinae. Can you squat heavy? Probably not. Still a ton you can do, if you're serious and already a lifter now. All of the above presumes you've been lifting for awhile though. If you're just getting started and you're still a noob and a fat fuck, leave it alone, and take some of the other advice…

Squats, deads and calf extensions. And running or other cardio to increase overall caloric burn. As somebody else said, spot reduction is a myth, you decrease overall bf% to slim down, you can't just slim down your thighs, doesn't work that way.

I absolutely notice but I do think it's true that what works aren't often the styles that women's media are telling you that guys respond to. It's the classics, at least for me -- pencil skirt, heels, a lower-cut neckline if it's an evening out, something sexy but more tasteful if it's daytime and work-mode, a little jewelry here and there, etc. Women fixate on makeup and hair, and honestly most of them way overdo both of these things, less is often more -- if I can tell you're wearing a pound o…

I am one of the lucky few who do not aromatize Test to E2. I dunno if it's really that rare or uncommon for TRT doses not to cause high E2. I think it's more that there are just so many docs and clinics that don't pay any attention to actual bloodwork. Dr Neal Rouzier (check out his stuff if you haven't) argues that AIs are almost never necessary without supraphysiological doses of test. The idea people on TRT need AIs came from the bodybuilding community, and sure, if your T is 2400 trough, you…

was getting a little beat up I think when you have a lot of already-competitive men and you pair that with the feeling of lost time you have rebooting in your 40s or 50s, it's a pretty good recipe to get hurt on an LP. Being a novice lifter at this age has a lot of gotchas that the typical SS or SL demographic just don't have. If you talk to veteran lifters our age, they'll often tell you they haven't PR'd in months or even years. It's taken me a while to internalize that. Everything you said ab…

It's really frustrating how they make you feel like a criminal if you want to up the dose "well, it is a controlled substance..." Funny how testosterone is Schedule III but they hand out another steroid hormone, progesterone (female contraceptive) like M&Ms. Feh, I'm sounding like an MRA. On training, I mentioned it in part because so many new people start on SL5x5 or another linear progression program, and don't know what to do when they plateau. I'm a high excreter / low SHBG, so my low point hits quick and early. I split a 250mg dose into 125 subq e3.5d. If weekly works, that's awesome. A lot of folks seem to end up on the twice-weekly route. I'm around 700 with a 500 trough as well. I did a lot of research up front and knew a typical doc or endo was going to waste a bunch of time with Clomid and cream and whatnot, so I went to one of those boner pill / men's health clinic type places. Everybody's calendar is different, and I've still got a long ways to go as well. But yes, in general it works. Simplest single thing is, be more attractive. Lift, eat right, get enough sleep, stop overindulging in booze, junk food, weed, whatever. Learn about frame and work on it until you don't think about it anymore. Dude, this is inspiring. I'm new on this journey and it's refreshing to see someone who has turned around their life and DB in such short time. I was aware of RP or at least PUA scene for awhile, via a couple friends who I would wingman for, so it wasn't like an overnight couch to 5K kind of thing. I think how quick you progress depends in part on how far you've let your SMV decline to start with. I also had a willing sexual partner, in reality, even if I didn't realize it. That may or may not b…

Guys, if you're over 30 and your T is below 600, get that shit taken care of. It is goddamn revelatory how much of this RP stuff comes naturally when you've got the T of an 18 year old. And yes, I know 600 doesn't qualify as "low". Fuck that noise. :)

OYS XIII: The Long Road It's been almost a year since I last posted an OYS here. Mentally I still do a checkin with myself, every Tuesday, and decide to keep it out of public consumption. Had some downtime just now so I thought I'd throw some words into the void. I'm still on this path. Since I've last checked in, my life has continued to improve in nearly every measurable way. Some of that is due to straight up RP playbook, but a lot of it has also come from throwing the playbook away, and focu…

OYS XII: Microgains I'm still around. I'm still on my path. When you first start working out (those of you who weren't born with a barbell in your hand), you have the novice gains stage. Any linear progression works, hell, you can do almost anything, because up to that point you were doing nothing. People go on and on about SL vs SS vs GSLP, but the reality is, when you have done fuck all to get strong your whole life, almost anything works. Almost anything is an improvement. i think these app extrapolations are bullshit hamster bait. you can either make something heavy go up and down or you can't. You're not wrong at all. The larger point I think I've learned (after yet another injury, a torn glute this time) is that as a 40-something novice lifter with a highly-competitive streak, I need to let maxes go entirely. For lifting, I'm trying to come to grips with the reality that chasing PR's at my age, now that I'm past the newb gainz stage, is just gonna get me hurt. …

OYS XI: Down from the mountain I'm still here off and on, mostly lurking. The noise level got to me a bit. I started feeling like I was obligated to comment everywhere, get in the middle of every tragic new weekend rando's life in askMRP. Of course that's a classic pattern for me, if I can swallow other people's shit for them, and help them through it, I can avoid thinking about mine. Then she always finds some reason to get mad at me which justifies being cold to me for a week to ten days. I hate to activate the hamster (which means I'm about to, obviously), but during the time I was fucking around, this is the cycle I went through with my wife. It doesn't have to be infidelity per se, but the contrived anger justifies something that she'd otherwise feel guilty about. I was only kind of half joking about it being unfair to folks who are on the spectrum. It does get thrown around a lot over here, and I'm guilty of it myself. Glad to know it doesn't offend. Paragraph of hamstering about touching your wife's butt Dude. The biggest problem with your kino isn't even your SMV. It's the lack of OI. It's not touching her butt or not that's the problem, it's that touching her butt is a constant reminder of this giant wall of pressure you've built around sex. That's gotta be exhausting for her. I hope that's not what you mean because you've had massive problems with sex as validation and OI for as long as you've been posting here unless my recall is way off. This is no different than any of your other posts on this problem. You are still trapped in a sex-as-validation loop. Get past that, realize getting laid is not like food or water and you'll actually survive without it. Fuck, walk away from the starfish, why is that even worth it anyway? Need her less sexually, and she will need you more. Which ultimately will lead to more and better sex, as a side effect of you being the Prize and not the Consolation Prize. And admit to her that you fucked up. …

Funny thing I figured out about all that shit is, a client who wants to party on your expense account is a shitty client anyway. What's the point of building my SMV if it's going to be thrown out in the long term. It's a terribly defeatist and short-sighted attitude for anyone, regardless of gender, to think they can throw out their SMV as irrelevant at any stage in a relationship. Both parties knowing that they have other options has a huge effect on perspective and on what level of unhappiness someone will tolerate. There were two outcomes, either get canned or promoted. Work and business are exactly like relationships in this regard, the party who needs the other party more isn't negotiating from a position of strength. Sounds like you figured out who needed who, and so did they, hence the promotion.

Man it must be hard to walk, with one ball in each woman's purse like this. Tell Mom to quit whining about your wife, tell your wife to quit whining about your Mom. Hell, get them together on the phone or in person, say how important they both are to you and your children, and how you need them to make this work. There's a frame test for you, man, sit both of these women down like the two children they are, and ask them to play nice. If doing that sounds terrifying to you, ask yourself why.

The day it happened, my wife came back from the grocery store and handed me a fifth of Old Forester - this was in my heavy drinking days, it was a sweet gesture, really. I drank it. Almost all of it. Then I barfed in the toilet. Then I slept for a long time and woke up fee…

She was the one that introduced me to MRP originally. (She has now denounced many ideas from MRP for obvious reasons.) You see women periodically over in /r/MRPW asking how to redpill their husbands. This is the first time I've seen one succeed. If she's now denounced RP it's because you went through a Rambo phase and were being a douche. Show her why it's actually awesome, by being awesome and fun. I wasn’t just a drunk captain, I was a morbidly obese man-child that decided I was going stomp ar…

Hey man, it's your birthday, do what you want, and if that includes taking your kids, take your damn kids. All I'm saying is that you've got a long history of letting her drive everything, so it's not like she's suddenly going to be compliant when you start taking initiative for yourself. You didn't do anything wrong, but don't be surprised if she fights you every step of the way, so going slow should help. Good luck on your journey, man.

If Android, you can create multiple user accounts on a phone. You can create a second account but call it something like e.g. Guest. There's also an app called Burner that lets you set up a burner number that rings through to your real number. That said, never do any of this shit unless you're prepared to deal with the blowback, because it can and will happen at some point no matter what you do.

I always bring a decent amount of food (although you can fish in some of the parks I camp in) but I do use a Sawyer Mini for water. You can do a bivvy or a hammock vs a tent, a lot less bulky. See /r/ultralight for info on setups, although they get a bit nuts about how light they shoot for. In addition to WildNight's linked Rollo posts, you really need to read Women In Love. No woman will ever love a man in the way that we expect love to work. It's a social construct, a fairy tale we've told ourselves since the middle ages. Selfless, limitless, boundless love is something a (beta) man feels for a woman. We evolved for it, because it makes being their plowhorses and diving in front of bullets for them possible, and that furthers the species. They evolved to make us fall for them and…

Even if TRP-aware, in our younger days most guys are more likely to focus on PUA stuff and cheat codes vs inner game. It takes a lot to withstand the full-on assault on one's frame that is 24x7 cohabitation with a female, and a lot of us think we have it until we don't. It's easier to say "I started out a tough young buck and now I'm holding her purse while she tries on dresses at Saffee's, guess I lost my Alpha" than it is to own up to never truly having your shit 100% on lock. Just because you come into a marriage with a strong frame and alpha qualities, doesn’t mean she wont break then down over time. It wouldn’t be as quick as 1 year in. But 10 years in you will likely be nothing but a beta provider. This is something we trot around here a lot but I wonder how true it is. I rescue feral dogs, and once had a wolf hybrid, so this stuff has been on my mind for a lot of years. It's important because that original flawed study gave us a lot of flawed assumptions. There's alpha pack behavior and there's alpha behavior among outsiders. A lot of what people think are classic alpha markers are alpha behavior toward outsiders. Most of TRP is about that stuff. MRP, in reality, should be about the alpha pack behaviors, which are what they talk about in the article.

The only issue I have with the anti-porn stance is the argument that it creates an unrealistic expectation of what "real" sex is like. I think that's bullshit It's also very much a bluepill narrative, along with the argument that "real women" don't look like pornstars.

This is for a small PCT, quick jumpstart and then taper down each week, for 2 weeks max. People coming off AAS cycles will go a fair bit higher than that, FWIW. Been on the Adderrall for 3 years. Doesn't affect my sleep as long as I take it early in the day. Anger, likewise, better on Adderrall. Not telling anyone else to take it, but I'm good with the decision.

I thought you might weigh in, sir. :) I am good with the Adderrall, it's a decision I struggled with for a lot of years, and it has literally been life changing for me. In my case, with my neurochemistry, it equates to much less anger, and much fewer highs and lows. For neurotypical people, you are spot on. Some people use tape. :) If my passages are clear and I'm sleeping lightly, like on a train or plane, I can keep my mouth closed while I sleep, but once I hit deep REM, it's sawmill time. I don't do more than 60-70 in a session partly for the same reason. They'…

6 isn't so bad, depends a lot on sleep quality. I track mine with a Fitbit and find the # of hours of restful sleep is more important than overall duration. Biggest problem I have is after 30+ years of apnea, I don't know how to fall asleep unless I'm completely fatigued, because that's what feels "normal". Most people's "tired" is how I felt all day every day, so when I'm tired, I think I'm just awake, if that makes sense. ZMA, will check it out - I've def found that magnesium helps, been takin…

Yep. She used to sleep through the snoring, but once you have kids and learn to sleep lighter that doesn't work so well. We spent 10 years in separate bedrooms. So I can honestly say CPAP has gotten me more pussy, just by proximity if nothing else. :)

50% is best case from clinical trials. Real world is even worse. Yep. How about singing? Obviously no sedatives or alcohol, drop body fat, keep your nose clear. I do sing actually, played in bands, still do open mic nights. Post CPAP, not having my throat sore from snoring, my singing has improved a ton. Nose is one potential area for surgery, I have small nasal passages and turbinate reduction could help. Or, I have somebody shred my sinuses open with a drill and a painful recovery, and it does…

Yeah, BF% stayed the same while weight went up a half pound to a pound a week, so lean gains presumably. I ate at a mild surplus, about 2500-2700 kcals. Seems like it would be best for cutting, doesn't give you a lot of appetite like some do. Very dry, made me piss constantly so I seemed to be shedding water weight. Vascularity went up. Energy was high in the gym. Ate like a pig one week with no access to a real gym while on vacation, didn't gain an ounce (literally, like weight stayed the same …

The problem with the RF ablation stuff is that the soft tissue in the throat goes back to its old shape after a year or so, IIRC. The said, my apnea has two main causes, underbite (cosmetically fine but blocks airway a bit) and really small nasal passages. Braces (equally, unattractive but temporary) and turbinate reduction might help. The fatass thing is somewhat chicken or egg, yeah. Pre-CPAP I got less than an hour of deep sleep per night, so high cortisol, fatigue, weight gain. Also low T. M…

Couple sleep studies, consults with one of the best sleep docs in the country. Done a fair bit of research on it, the alternatives aren't great, the surgical options have a 50% success rate or less. Sleeping with a mask vs snoring so loud you can hear it 3 rooms over, I'm down with the mask, and in my experience sleeping is something that generally happens after fucking vs before. I don't want to get banned or go down in a hail of downvotes but I wouldn't obsess so much about the 12 stages thing. BPP seems like a decent dude and all but it's just another attempt at a taxonomy, based on his own MAP and his own marriage. It didn't exist 2 years ago, nobody can quantitatively tell you if works, it's just a useful shorthand. Work hard to be a better man every day, throw out the scoreboard, and the rest will work itself out.

Seems like you can be an alpha and take charge without being a complete dick. I wouldn't even suggest being a partial dick. Think about the best leader you've ever been around. Presidents (good ones, anyway), governors, cardinals, priests, take your pick. All the truly powerful people I've ever met gave me a sense of complete calm when I was around them. Add an ass slap at the end, tell her she can have a kiss when she gets you a beer, turn around after and offer one to her Mom or sister ("anybody else, ladies?"), basically anything but overt compliance with the demand. I wouldn't be too put off by this, though... It's likely she wants to show you off to her family, you just have to find ways to do that within your own narrative vs hers.

Also, let me disavow you of the notion of "alpha females". It's a bullshit term. All women want to be led. I think of Alpha Female as meaning Alpha among a given group of females, AFOG, like AMOG. The biological clock is becoming an issue and I don’t want to be really old when kids are leaving the house. I don’t want her to have kids if she doesn’t want them as that will be a disaster. Unless she's like 10 years younger than you, you're also at a point where this gets to be a riskier and riskier proposition. Don't believe all the rah-rah you-go-girl stuff about women having easy pregnan…

If he were e.g. spinning plates or planning a divorce and the stakes were higher, I'd tell him to go buy a burner phone or a burner laptop and the rest, in this case it's not at that level yet. I'm also still not convinced this isn't all hamstering. Meh, OP, if you're concerned, just change your name and start using Chrome in Incognito mode. Heh. You don't say? :)

This make me wonder if I’m coming off as creepy and dialed down things down a little. I don’t want to appear needy or cringy, trying to slow things down. Long term, need to set up strict parameters around which days I drink, and how much I drink when I do. An easy one that I do is don't drink on days before I lift and don't drink on the days I actually lift. The latter effects recovery, the former effects my motivation the next day. Working out 3-4 days a week means there's really only maybe one day (usually none) that fits the requirement of not messing with either the recovery or the workout.

I think that one of the areas that this place is lacking is treatment of serious issues like this. Def. Of course, beddeadrooms treats everything like it's a medical or mental health issue. Over here everything is a need for a man to own his shit and for dread and the 1k ft rope to do the rest. I think the approach here solves for a helluva lot more people than the other route, but there are outliers for sure.

Don't fool yourself - she knows This. What's more, she's always known. It's just that over time, she's become less and less sexual, and has reconciled herself to that being a perfectly fine state of affairs. Suddenly, the patterns are changing and it's frightening.

Here are some of the things she's said, I'm hoping that y'all can help chart my next course of action: "I will never meet your expectations. That's why I know I'm not the girl for you. I'm not the woman you want." General comfort, but don't hit those statements head on, that's a trap. Mind elaborating on this more? I'd like to hear your full thoughts on what this looks like. I'm saying it's a classic male mistake to presume that what they tell us is what we need to react to. You can come at some…

I think you're doing great, man. You've said before in your OYS that you've been afraid to apply dread, and that you always swoop in too early with the comfort when she gets like this. I think it's okay to apply maybe a little more comfort (that's what seems to have the hamster spinning IMO) but to keep some distance as well. You're treading a pretty good middle ground now, I think. As far as the content of the texts, acta non verba, and watch what she does. The womanese here seems to be "all th…

what is the reason? When I have done some soft dread it seems to backfire really bad. You just answered your own question, buddy. She will be in a biologically-driven nesting and provisioning state. If you show her the slightest hint shit is unstable, and that's what dread is, a hint that things could be less stable, shit will go up like a case of roman candles in a bonfire. Calm down about the sex - you're not gonna get laid with any predictable regularity for like a year. It's not fatal. Work …

What should I do? Have you tried talking about your feelings and increasing choreplay around the house? I'm on medicine to control my blood sugar which has to be taken with meals twice per day. Keto should be totally doable though. A lot of people who manage to reverse from pre-diabetic with keto, yeah. Some docs who still buy into the low-fat diet myth will be against it though.

I want to choose the course I’m sailing, and I want my decision respected. Anything else is trivial. Respect me or get off my ship. This feels a bit Rambo mode. But now I'm improved and the shit tests on same things seem to start like I'm at Day 1 The difference is that at some point you have enough frame and they don't really touch you in the same way. It's like someone in the next room is being shit tested and you're vaguely aware of it happening.

I lost one pound Do yourself a favor, stop tracking at that level and play the long game. You lose and gain a pound or two throughout the day, every day. Keep diet and exercise on point and switch to weekly or biweekly weigh ins (always at the same time of day, BTW - morning is ideal). Even better, focus on more tangible goals like BF %, waist size, and the like. In general man, you are working hard at this. Give yourself time and enjoy the journey. She gets so irritated in her bits, that it has been a huge hurdle for me to climb over. Tampons, pads or anything else left in her area causes her to itch. Decent underwear that breathe (ExOfficio are really good, but expensive), really mild soaps. We manage separate finances and do well doing so. Good for you, do what works for y'all. IMO you're stuck in a pattern of attacking and retaliating with your ex, which is really just the same toxic relationship holding on. When you are truly indifferent, you'll finally be past this. But the root of this isn't about whether she takes the car, it's about whether she retaliates for the school bus. So really you created this problem, friend. And the school bus was petty, dude. My guess is, your OI game isn't quite as good as you think it is. It's also likely that as you said, your SMV isn't quite at the level for dread to push things further over the wall. It's mainly just a function of time, man, so don't sweat it quite so much. The rule of thumb of 1 month for every year you lived as a beta with her is a decent one. So you have at least 18 months at a minimum - play the long game and don't sweat it in the short term. It sounds like you've got progress, so IMO be tha…

Besides building my Frame, I really don't know exactly how to do that. The 48 Laws of Power might hold the answer. Any other resources you can suggest? We love to say sidebar around here, but honestly frame is a bit harder than just that. Certainly taking a look at /u/resolutions316's post on frame here isn't a bad place to start. How the fuck do I convince her it's for me and not her? You need the frame to make it your narrative and not hers. This enables you to focus on your career and your pursuits, this is best thing for the children. The minute it becomes about her job being too hard, you've lost the narrative and she's put herself at the center, which is already clearly happening now.

Her: I'm always walking on eggshells If there's one strong takeaway from Gottman it's this: the words "always" and "never" are signs of a poisoned well. Nobody does anything always. Point being when someone says always or never they're turning a specific conflict into something too vague to address: "You're always late for things" is totally different than "I was bummed when you were late to meet for lunch Tuesday". Wow man. I don't even. Well I guess we're all locked in for some reason or other. I would have left my marriage plenty of times over the years if not for kids and other obligations I suppose. Seriously, several friends who bought into that shit and it's been terrible, one had a late-term abortion because the kid wouldn't have lived, the other is raising a kid with Downs. Tons of others who pumped themselves full of fertility drugs and struggled for years. Fuck that shit. My wife had our first kid at 30 and honestly that was too late IMO. Also, if you're gonna have one, have at least two, and have 'em 24-36 month…

Traveling myself and missed the past OYS, but just wanted to wish you well man. Holding out seems to have gained you some ground, even if she's now looking for the next hill to fight the war from. Onwards indeed. RE: Hotel gyms, I've found that Hiltons with the PreCor cable machines are the most bearable. If you can find one with the bar attachment you can attach it to the cables on both sides and actually get a semi-decent bench press or squat. Better than dumbbells at least.

what you do versus the trust she has in you versus your tolerance of that are totally different concepts. OK. So the fact she doesn't trust me enough to handle these fears better is something I shouldn't tolerate? Is that what you mean? I can see that. I also can't see it just going away entirely, but on my end I can work on how I handle her reactions. She's scared of heights too, for example. I can't make her not feel afraid if I drag her to the top of the Eiffel Tower. But yes, I can react dif…

Once you internalize that her anxiety is not your responsibility to fix, you will be able to start to actually help her fix it. Yeah man that's basically the crux of the problem. I need to stop trying to logic away this shit and stop thinking it's something I can solve. Thank you again.

Thank you for this reply, man. This is great advice and yes, you're right, as I replied upthread, it's because she missed a flight as a teen for her grandmother's funeral. I've never failed her on travel, in fact I asked her this point blank earlier on the trip and she agreed, but you're right, I need to understand the fear, and be more more objective about it instead of taking it personally. It's hard when your woman is anxious and stressed out not to internalize it yourself. And yeah, a lot of…

Ultimately - what are you thinking doing 4 places in 4 days? Not 4 places in 4 days, man. 8 day trip, 4 hotels, 4 cities. Two of those are actually just overnights for layovers so that there's a long buffer between flight changes. That should give you some idea of how much I work around the travel anxiety. I often find the MOST challenging thing about RPW-thinking for me is that it's clearly a dynamic developed in situations where the man went out into the world and earned most of the income, and that's not realistic for me (or statistically most American women). So the thing about RedPill is that it is (or at least was) a sexual strategy. A dynamic of attraction and desire. All the other trappings that have been placed around it are pretty much being made up as people go along. RP itself as a for…

Yep. When I was younger, the best sex and best STR's I had were with the women who were ~2 pts below my SMV or so, because they had to try harder, and I didn't really care if it ended. But guys often marry at or above our SMV, typically. Which usually means betabux or some other stability indicator bought you more RMV in her eyes. Not getting sex for a week is not gonna kill you. In reality it's not even gonna cause you any discomfort. It’s a whole new world to a party of 6 or 8 at a restaurant to make a drink order and order appetizers as soon as the waiter gets to your table. I do this like 90% of the time, sometimes the food order too. Also hand them the card as they bring the check and tell them to run it and save a trip back to the table. So much stupid routine they foist on you. Do it by default and do it every time in every situation, tho, and I agree with others, it looks a lot like just overcompensating.

You are applying the kind of logic you use with men to a woman, and it's not going to work. Fix her feels, and her behavior will follow. Fucking with her by witholding sex is just gonna make her feels worse. And don't be so damn autistic about shit either. What do you have, some kind of chore chart for her?

On reading the entire comment history and post history, I don't think OP is necessarily a troll, just really goddamned weird. So /u/MrPerfidy here's the simple answer, as well as the fundamental thing (but by no means the only thing) wrong with your question. You cannot negotiate desire. You either want to fuck your wife, or you don't. Your wife either wants to fuck you, or she doesn't. If you think witholding sex is a rational response to her not understanding, listening, or supporting you in o…

I think you're talking about an approach, not an OYS. Unless the dude walked up to her and told her all about the problems in his life he was working on. And yeah, as /u/simbarlion said, beta doesn't have anything to do with whether somebody is jacked or not. Some of the most beta people I've ever met have been bodybuilders. In general, lift, stfu, sidebar, and maybe try posting first in /r/askmrp while you're still learning all this stuff.

Thumbs up for Citizen, I forgot to mention them along with Hammy, Orient and Seiko on my list of respectable watches that aren't $5K. If you hang out in watch forums there are a ton of others that are well made and not overpriced. I'd personally rather have 4 nice watches over a single $5000 one.

A watch is often the only piece of jewelry a man wears. A nice watch shows high value and attention to detail, in my opinion. If you're in a room full of execs and you're in a suit, I guarantee someone is checking your watch and shoes, two details a lot of people miss. Rolexes and in particular subs are kind of basic and obvious in my opinion. Speedmaster, Daytona, Seamaster are a good route on the higher-priced tier. Anyone who knows watches will be reasonably impressed with a Hamilton, Orient …

I'm saying if you're going into it expecting an outcome you're gonna have a bad day. Try not expecting anything, or even telling yourself "nothing will come of this tonight". You still act basically the same way, just without pushing for a specific outcome. The fact that you're a bit more detached because you don't have an endgame may ease up on some of the pressure.

Maybe things have gotten to a point where there's so much performance anxiety and pressure around sex for both of you that it's really difficult to get the plane off the ground. I don’t particularly want an excuse to relapse Even the word "relapse" shows you're still in the addiction mentality. Adult ADHD diagnoses do happen, but for someone to make it that far without it being already identified and debilitating they'd need a network of people helping them along, usually parents, then later spouses. Read: raging codependency and a network of enablers.
