1	How long did your forensic accountant take to give you a final report? Brother—nothing about family court is “balanced” especially when you were the breadwinner to a SAHM. Yes, the forensic expert (who was actually an attorney) cost $120k. He also became the de facto mediator the week before trial because she wouldn’t budge on anything until the judge had enough. 2	How long did your divorce take? 3.5 years, including criminal and family court. The lawyers absolutely gauge a case based on funds available. My case suddenly settled after 3.5 years when the liquid assets began to severely dwindle. It also took a long while to fully dispel all the false allegations she spewed against me from the start. I had GAL, DCFS investigation (unfounded), false DV, forensic accountant, three lawyers for her—on an 8 year marriage and three young kids.	/r/Divorce_Men	09/07/26 03:45 AM
2	How long did your forensic accountant take to give you a final report? The forensic accountant that was appointed in my case, thru OC’s request, came out with his initial report rather quickly—within 8 weeks of getting all the information to him. The initial report was to determine what was marital and what was non-marital despite having a clearly defined pre-nup in place. His first report concluded that the non-marital assets in the pre-nup were indeed non-marital: big surprise! Hah.
