Love is a choice. Find yourself a partner who is willing to choose to find the best in you despite your faults. Someone who wants to be in it for life and understands that feeling that way takes work. Life isn’t a disney princess movie.

From reading your post it sounds like you don’t really know what path will make you happiest long term. Are you going to have your career or are you more determined to be a SAHM? If you are going the career route what are you passionate about that will satisfy you and pay your bills? In ten years is this career going to still be around? Also there’s sooo many ways to become a nurse, I don’t understand the idea of going into a program where you have to sign a contract for multiple years, but it’s…

I’m so surprised that the top comments on your post are telling you to apologize or saying you handled the situation wrong. Going from exactly what you’ve said I think you handled things well. This is someone who you said has talked negatively about children multiple times to you. It’s odd that she would offer to help in the first place, but you set a boundary by saying “thanks, but it’s alright”. THAT IS ENOUGH! It’s odd for her to even ask why. It’s your children and you don’t need to explain …

I’ve always been one to have a large group of girlfriends and I think it’s super important to keep that feminine energy around. My husband is my best friend, but I feel so different after a girls night or phone call, I wouldn’t be who I am without them. It sounds like you’d want to find carbon copies of yourself. It’s important to realize that people have different wants out of life and that’s okay if y’all don’t agree on everything. Be more open minded to other women’s ideas of what’s important…

First of all, if you believe that mental and health care professionals are some of the hardest critics, you work in the wrong place. I’ve worked where “professionals” criticize patients and it’s not an environment you need to work in. There’s plenty of places that treat these people like the human beings that they are. I was diagnosed NPD. It’s wild to me how little insight I had before my diagnosis. Both my parents are narcissists and I was a frequent on r/raisedbynarcissists I had no idea. It …

Facial expressions are all practiced mannerisms. You must have been doing them for a long time now for them to be behavioral. The best way to stop them is to practice.

Read “The Surrendered Wife”. Majority of the suggestions in that book have honestly created such an amazing dynamic in my marriage where I thought my husband would never be “alpha” enough for me. I was able to rent the ebook for free from my public library the same day I decided to read the book.

I think your real problem is living in the past. You get hung up on “the one that got away”. These past relationships that didn’t work for whatever reason, you need to stop believing that either of them could have worked out if you had done anything differently.

You say you guys have a discussion before making large purchases, but it doesn’t actually sound like you guys are discussing. He hears what you want and decides not to compromise anyway. According to RP he should desire to make you happy, but he’s putting your wants away. You’ve either not made it clear how badly you want a new dining table or for some reason he is no longer concerned with your happiness.

If you bring it up to him he’ll make up an excuse. How old are you guys? This sounds like something a guy in high school would do, like a guy who doesn’t know what to do around an attractive woman.

Congratulations! The only place to go from here is up. You’ve been battling with this “man” mistreating you for too long. Don’t waste anymore time on this relationship, join r/exnocontact . When you feel like messaging him or looking at his social media, go to that page. The best way to get over a toxic ex is to stop talking to them, stop talking about them and checking in on them. Go nun mode and really focus on yourself. Enjoy this time! Before you know it, you’ll be in a new (healthy) relatio…

The key to best sex of your life is finding a man that has either been with older women or having the communication skills to tell him what works. Men who had these “lessons” from either older women who dgaf or LTR who have to communicate learn what works. The best sex of my life was with a 26 year old when I was 26 (I’m 29 now and married). Once again, age has noooothing to do with it and if you believe it does then you’re missing out. That 26 year old did things to me that 30/40 somethings nev…

Giving yourself that age range to date is only limiting yourself. I don’t understand why not be more open to men older and younger than 27-29. Everyone moves at their own pace. Some men in their thirties are ready to settle down, just as are some men in their early twenties. If you’re so focused on age you’ll miss a lot of details that are much more important to a relationship. Whatever values you believe 27-29 year olds old, focus on those and just make them values you look for in any man you d…

I’m confused by what you want advice on. You said you and your male friend don’t talk unless you reach out and you prefer it this way. You also say you and your SO don’t think opposite sex can be friends and then you ask if there are exceptions? And the title is asking how to know which male friends to trust? If you and your SO both agree that male/female friendships do not work then I think the issue stops there. I would say that you can know what male friends to trust just like any other frien…

In my honest opinion, your boyfriend and his ex are the parents of the child who babysits. It’s really their decision. If you feel that this puts your health at risk then by all means go stay with someone else. Explain to your SO that with your health it would be in your best interest to self isolate.

Hey there, I’ve suffered from anxiety, specifically OCD since childhood, I feel your pain. The fact that you’re noticing your negative thoughts is a great first step. A lot of what you’re doing is trying to prepare yourself for being let down or failure. You ask “well what I’d this happens”, because if the worst possible thing happens to you you’ll be ready for it. Or you tell yourself someone like a guy at a bar is only giving you his number because he’s drunk because if he blows you off it doe…

My cousin got married last year to a guy that she met on Tinder and a guy I work with just celebrated his baby girl’s first birthday with his wife who he met on Tinder. Dating apps are what you make of them. Just like going out to a public place, there’s plenty of people of LV, but there’s also people just like yourself. I suggest evaluating your profile and have a guy friend look it over. You could put in your bio that you’re looking for long term, not interested in a hook up. Also double check…

I think your reaction is great and normal for a any woman who doesn’t want things to escalate. Men who want to get laid will try and say anything to get you into bed so I wouldn’t be surprised if they continued to push it. Just keep on doing what youre doing.

I’m sure majority of RPM would prefer it be that easy to determine if a partner was faithful by the amount of dick she’s been on, but that’s just not the case. This study is bad science, as multiple have said, and lacks varying factors. I knew a woman who married her first, her high school sweetheart, and ended up cheating. I also knew a woman who slept around a lot and is now happily married with children. Human logic has a lot of gray are and truthfully people aren’t very logically at all. If …

Thanks for the info, dude, but I’m a nurse. Talking about having a side piece while married is not something you talk to coworkers about. Go ask any HR personnel and I think they’ll tell you that.

Oh no. He’s only being nice to you now because he knows you’re literally his only option at this point. He wants to keep you “on the back burner”. He has no options bc he’s an ugly asshole. It’s normal to still have feelings for him and be upset about it. You’re going to be alright and you’ll feel better the sooner you walk away from him. As far as your dating life in general, it doesn’t sound like you let people see the best side of you. You don’t think your attractive so you’re limiting yourse…

Jay-Z cheated on Beyoncé while she was home with a new born, lets not forget. OP is asking for individual advice on her situation and not each individual considers marriage to be the only commitment. Everyone will have various opinions, but if OP feels that she is in a committed relationship than we should consider that. She may have feelings of guilt because she is committed to this man and acting as if she is available to another, which is understandable.

Any man who openly disrespects a commitment will disrespect one with you, if he ever gets the chance. He sounds LV to me, especially considering the comments he made about other women hitting on him, that’s so cringy. First things first you need to end your relationship with your current guy. I would then recommend you take some time to decide what you didn’t like in that relationship and what you are looking for in a man to marry. What you’re doing sounds like branch swinging and it is an unful…

The fun activities, home cooked meals and hot sex are great, but they’re nothing compared to being a great listener for him. I’d say the best thing to do is make sure he knows you are there for him and want to hear what he has to say, let him vent. My husband tries to stay so positive for others all the time that he loves when I just sit with him and ask him how he’s really feeling. When you get vulnerable in this way together it puts your relationship to another level.

I know plenty of women that started in a LDR and ended up happily married. I think as long as you have future plans and an end date it can be well worth it.

When I was 20 I dated a man 12 years older and I learned!!! Men in their 30s dating women in their early twenties (or younger) do so because women their own age won’t put up with their crap! You did great holding strong to your beliefs and not letting him manipulate you.

The most important thing to remember is that in order for anything to work your partner has to want to do the work. Changing your mindset can only be done by the individual, you can’t do it for him and you can’t make him want to either. My mother is mentally ill and my parents relationship is toxic. I was always attracted to unstable situations with unstable men. I had to really work through and change a lot of my beliefs. CBT did a lot for me and now I have a wonderful husband whose parents hav…

Stop the hamstering (overthinking). I overthink so often and I create my own disasters. RPW has definitely made me realize that I do this and to just stop it. I have the control over my thoughts and emotions.

I completely disagree. I know plenty of couples (now married) who started out LD. They would talk and FaceTime almost daily, at least weekly. You guys talk twice a month and only see each other twice a year. I know you didn’t come here for “dating advice” but I don’t think either one of you are really into this. As for responding to him apologizing, ugh just say “it’s cool” and move on? The more you focus on it the worse it becomes.

Your definition of “mess up” is that he asked her for a favor and she rejected it. Now giving her the silent treatment..yea real husband material. Communication is key to a happy and understanding marriage She’s reached out to him several times and he hasn’t responded. What else is she suppose to do? Get on her knees and beg? I think it’s totally understandable that she is hesitant about including him with her inner circle given the amount of time they’ve known each other and with his current ac…

I second this opinion. He is a grown man acting like a child. He is giving you enough space to say he isn’t worried about losing you to some other man which I say you should do. And it’s your choice when you want to include someone in your circle. The right man will wait for when you’re ready.

Honestly you’re very hard on yourself. You need to work on your negative thoughts. If you are constantly in your head telling yourself “you are dumb. You are not funny”, then it’s going to quiet you and then you will feel all those things you are thinking. Remember it takes two to continue a conversation, it’s not all on you. You put so much pressure on yourself it’s no wonder you feel you have no social skills.
/r/RedPillWomen23/11/19 01:36 PM

I’ve always wanted to learn too! What are you using to practice? I’ve had a keyboard for ages that I’ve just been staring at, collecting dust.
