Using your metaphor, your point seems to be that because bad junk food exists, all food is bad. "Junk" journalism exists. Not all online journalism is bad. The vast majority of local, big city and national journalism is perfectly valid and good sources of objective information.

That's nothing new to journalism. If it bleeds, it leads has been and attempts to sensationalize news have been happening for decades and decades. Actually, "fake news" used to be a much, much bigger issue. See yellow journalism.

Not to defend all journalism, but you can't make assumptions about the profession based on a handful of examples. Good journalism is like good plumbing. No one complains about it until it breaks or someone is covered in their own shit.

I've been going through the absolute worst time with Tinder and dating apps. Six canceled dates in two weeks. And the few who have showed up either are bigger than or not as good looking as their photos. Doesn't help that I quit drinking this week and don't want to hit up bars. Dry spells are the worst. More power to you man.

When I'm out if practice, I try to remember the pain of failing to approach at all is worse than the pain of being completely shot down. After a while, talking to all women and not caring about the result becomes natural. The goal is to work toward that.

Nice work. I don't know about you or anyone else, but the feeling of getting rejected always feels better than the feeling of not being able to approach at all.

Personally, I always take rejection from women I don't find overly attractive harder than rejection from women who I an/others would find hot. I know the hot woman has more and "better" options than the lesser attractive. So I just assume she is moving on because she knows she can. I use this as motivation to focus on women I find particularly attractive.

Good point. I guess I meant I wanted to be friends with someone before considering whether I'd want to date them.

Do I connect with them in the same way I would if I were sexually interested?
/r/seduction06/06/17 12:32 AM

But what do I say? I've been an adult for quite a while and making friends as an adult is much harder than when I was in high school or college.

My social hobbies include board games and going to museums. The first doesn't draw a ton of attractive people, but the second one probably does. Thanks. That's a good start. Getting more social hobbies probably couldn't hurt either.

I don't know what people on public transit are like where you are, but in my city, everyone is on guard. She probably saw you, was comfortable with the idea of standing next to you and, maybe, bumped into you a little. But that's a big maybe. Either way, the right circumstances were there. And that was a great, casual move. I love awkward moments like that. I should do a post about them.

Out of curiosity, were you sitting or standing next to each other?

Sex for men is a simple, constant biological desire. Sex for women is far more situational. This woman probably thought it was some adventure to have rando sex on vacation and doesn't see it as emotional infidelity, but does she what her boyfriend did as cheating. The older I get, the more I realize how rational men are and how practical, yet conditional women are.

Her problems are this: she wanted to be free and thought proposing an open relationship would be a good idea for her. She didn't think through the consequences and didn't anticipate her emotional response to her bf cheating. She then wanted to correct the situation. She didn't realize having her cake and eating it too means she'll end up fat and alone.

Depending on the amount of damage, state law requires a police report to be made.

Thank you. Feels like someone regularly misunderstands what this law actually does.

Have you made a move yet? If not, be direct. "Want to go back to my place?" Don't be afraid to do it early in the next conversation.

In this thread, there was a guy talking about focusing on two muscle groups at the expense of his biceps. So, there's that guy. And plenty of other guys out there focusing on only certain muscle groups.
/r/seduction19/09/16 11:57 PM

No, you have to eat fewer calories than you burn to lose weight. And as long as you aren't eating at a massive deficit, you'll lose fat and not (much muscle). By "easier," I meant it's easier to lost 20 pounds in 12 weeks by eating at a deficit than it is to build more by working out correctly and eating without overeating to build muscle.
/r/seduction19/09/16 11:56 PM

Muscle is more metabolic than fat; you'll lose the fat just by the virtue of putting on the muscle. You probably still need to watch calories, tho.

I know what you're talking about. I call it the construction worker look. Big arms and shoulders, but not exactly low body fat. Not fat either, but somewhere in the middle. Losing fat is easier than gaining muscle. I figure slimming down first makes sense and then switch it up and start weight training.
/r/seduction19/09/16 07:31 PM

Yeah. Guys should be doing a weightlifting routine that hits all muscle groups. It's all going to benefit them.

Well, sort of. You want to have that V shape. To accomplish this, you need your shoulders to be significantly wider than your waist. The best way to get that is reduce your body fat and do weight training that builds your shoulders and upper arms. Really, you should be doing a full weight training routine, though. Abs show through when you have low body fat. You're right that abs aren't absolutely necessary, but it can't hurt. Secondly, you want clothing that fits properly. A basic in your wardr…

If women actually are paid 30 percent less than men for the same work, why would any company hire men? If women actually are paid 30 percent less than men for the same work, why hasn't the legal system ground to a halt because of all the investigations and lawsuits filed by women? You think lawyers wouldn't be lining up to sue big companies blatantly violating law? If women actually are paid 30 percent less than men for the same work, there would have to be a conspiracy-theory level of culusion …

Her point about police killings upset me the most. Police are killing MEN at a high rate, with the largest victim demographic being black, often when other, less-than-lethal options are available. Society treats men terribly, and women are a part of society, but it's going to up to men to fix it. Women won't help.

I've probably had more luck with dating apps than the average man and I still wouldn't recommend them. Unless you take the time to slowly get to know someone over chat or email, it's probably not going to be for you. If you're young and particulary attractive, women will hookup with you. Sometimes. Rarely for most attractive people, tho. Most women using the apps have seen a lot of crap from men. They will be quick to drop you for small reasons, lately because of the huge supply of available men…

I'm starting to see this thinking more and more. And I don't think these "feminists" have thought it through ... So, a white woman will expect a black man to ask permission to talk to her?

Interesting lawsuit. The sexual assault accusations are almost all directed at men, and the policies campuses like this use regarding sexual assault complaints tend to skew against the accused, so the argument could be made that the system is, while not in policy, biased in practice.

You post has so many typos, I'm having a hard time understanding it, but I'll try to respond. I think the reason why women are more paranoid has to do with other factors, like the fact they are, on average, smaller in size than men (which is an understandably serious detriment) or that more men tend to be the assailant in street crime. And because they don't know which man could be an assailant, they assume all men could be. It's irrational and bigoted, of course. Women also commit public violen…

What bothers me the most is that she started baiting him. Then, when she didn't get the response she wanted, automatically assumed it was a sexual comment for the sake of claiming harassment. There certainly are real issues of sexual harassment out there, so why try to manufacture one to fit your narrative?

She's not wearing underwear and her skirt is raised early on in the video. Depending on where this video was shot, that likely is a crime. It took me a moment to realize what she was doing. At first, I thought she was high. She's clearly a prostitute, tho.

A simpler way to put this: "Don't make a compliment about you." Never say "I like your smile." Instead, say "You have pretty eyes." The first example makes it about the person giving the compliment (I like ...) versus the second example, which makes it about the person receiving the compliment (You have ...).

I want to vote for Jill Stein, but when I tell people I have voted for her in the past, I'm told I'm wasting my vote or splitting the left vote. I just wanna vote for a GOOD candidate who is a woman. I don't agree with the way Clinton does business. Same thing when I voted the one time for Obama. I didn't vote for Alan Keyes, even though he was a black candidate for the Republican party years ago BECAUSE he was black. He was a terrible candidate whose policies I didn't agree with. I voted for Ob…

Was the headline edited? Regardless, you don't want the type of woman who wants a "nice guy." Nice guys are doormats. Nice guys to stand up for themselves or push back. Nice guys get walked all over and you don't want a woman who wants that. Don't conflate a "nice guy" with a good man. A good man doesn't put up with nonsense. He knows what he wants and he goes for it. He's not mean but he's also not a pushover. Stop worrying about what women think about nice guys and start being a good man.

Asked in a different thread, but does anyone know why she did this? Was it a sexual thing? Famous patients? Something else?

Mostly a pointless question to ask, but does anyone know why she took the photos? Were they well-known or famous patients? Or was it some sort of sexual thing? Any clue?

Yeah, this post (while good) was a long build up to a simple idea. Always be moving toward sex. Doesn't mean sex has to happen by a certain point. But maintain a sexually charged connection until it does. Sooner is better than later. Weeks is right out.
