When you are peacocking that hard, maybe. Those guys do look pretty ridiculous. But peacocking in more subtle ways does work.

I know a guy who absolutely slays it with the ladies everytime he goes out to the club in his full body Tigger costume, he just dances and acts ridiculous and girls are practically pissing themselves laughing. Its great and everyone starts a conversation with him because of how hilarious it is and how confident he must be to wear that out.

Another one of my friend has a buzz lightyear jacket with laser sounds built in, girls come up to him constantly and start talking to him complimenting him on his jacket and wanting to push the button that makes the laser sounds. Having girls come up to you to start conversation makes the entire process so much easier.

Peacocking doesn't mean you need to dress up like a freak. It just means you should wear something that grabs attention or starts conversation.
