Average ages for men and women is 28 and 24, respectively, last I heard. But I assume it's going up especially in metropolitan areas. From the anecdotal stories I've seen of "high-quality" people the marriage age tends to skew further up. As it takes men a while to get to that higher "quality" or SMV and women aren't really marriage material at their peak SMV. As an aside though, I think there needs to be some clarification. You may exit the market but you're never done playing the game. And if …

Often I've found that there's certain men that go "monk mode" as a way to avoid anxiety that comes with interaction. I can't tell if that's you or not. But I will say this: you already have the degree, you're 27, and living with your parents. I think the only thing here is that you're living with your parents. It's not impossible to date but can make it harder to find privacy to know a woman in the Biblical sense. I think if you do go monk mode, only do so as long as it takes to get your own pla…

Political conservatism would probably correlate to a conservative personality It's probably more useful look at in terms of the Big 5. Conservative folks are lower in openness and higher in conscientiousness. They're orderly. And yeah, that does tend to be men more often than women. But only slightly, it's like a 60/40 split. It also seems to be influenced by genetics. Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about it here

I don't know dude. I'm underachieving, 5'8", slightly overweight, and was dating 2-3 girls a week for several months last time I was single and "spinning plates." 6 months to "see beyond her mask" and "vet her as a potential wife" is ridiculous. I don't think this is how Rollo Tomassi defines spinning plates or the reason why. Rather it's to maximize your options and capitalize on your SMV. And you don't have to sleeping with all of them.

Nah that's what I was told in another sub after I was downvoted to hell. Apparently feminism is the answer for all the gender issues ever and there need not be a MRM.

Well of course. This is part of problem feminism is trying to address. Men suffer from these problems because of toxic masculinity. You see, not only are men to blame for women's problems but also for their own problems too!

end the legal pussypass for female-on-male violence. I think that's a noble goal. I just don't see it happening. It's been going on long before modern feminism came on the scene.

You got any ideas for examples? I tried some tango classes which I really enjoyed by the only viable woman around my age was the instructor who was engaged. Good on you for approaching so much. Takes brass balls. But as far as I know, and I could totally be wrong here, in the world of pickup theory I don't think indirect approaching has been dethroned for approaching groups. The direct "hi" seemed to work better for you with one or two people but it may have hurt you with the second group of three. And the first group of three you opened with "hi" may have been more receptive because it was earlier in the night. By the time you got to the second gro…

Don't expect them to ask questions back. When they do you can read that as an "indicator of interest." If they're not engage then they're likely not attracted. But at first you'll have to do most of the talking. A good flow can be described as Question -> Answer -> Opinion, deeper question. Search for Sasha Daygame's infield videos. He's a good example for how to make small talk fun. Or the Natural Lifestyles with James Marshall has some good stuff too.

Try to focus more on what you can do today to be more social. Make eye contact and say hi to people. In a couple weeks, make eye contact, say hi, and find something to compliment the person on. So on and so forth. Take it one day at a time. Don't worry about 6 months from now.

The chance of meeting someone who is going to like you in one of these situations is lower. I'd argue that the chance of meeting someone in a bar or club is lower because you have more competitors. Think about it, the expectation is that you approach there and every other guy is doing it. In other situations the market is less competitive which works in your favor. Ah, the classic "if you see something negative in women then you're the problem" response So yes, the answer is obviously "all women…

Dating sites, bars and parties is where women go, because it works just fine for them. So no one who meets outside of those places ends up having sex? That's fucking delusional. Meditation. When you have the proper training in meditation you learn to observe sensations. Including, but certainly not limited to, the sensation of desire for the opposite sex. It's a very clear and strong desire. When you run from it, it gets stronger and persists. If you maintain awareness and breathe through it, like your training teaches you, you watch how it will arise and then fall away like all sensations do. A year later, I'm still one of the smaller guys in the gym but I've got progress now. Don't worry about other people. Go in their and do your thing. Wait a couple days. And then do it again.

To love yourself? A lot of us had less than perfect childhoods, we're wired to be self critical, no one puts the emphasis on SELF in self help. And a lot of it is a pattern that goes back to childhood and our beliefs which are not easily changed. It's the hard work. It's easy to approach someone and talk to them. It's harder to figure out why you idealized her so much and subsequently pushed her away with your neediness.

You can have Cluster B tendencies without being a sociopath. I'm just saying the people I know who were great at it are sociopaths or at the very least narcissists. And that it's a wholly different skillset than relationship building. For my goals of having a family and all that it's more productive to learn how to build relationships than quick cold approach lays. If you want lays that's fine, I'm saying for my goals cold approach is only so useful.

Your efforts are desperate and not appreciated by her.. so stop making efforts. By the way most of this stuff should be in your daily journal.

I'm sure she's aware of it. Here's what would have happened had you said that: the uglier girl gets jealous, the pretty one feels bad for ugly friend, then you look like a dick. If you need to tell her that, take her out and tell her that when you're becoming intimate.

Not surprising when you understand basic sociology. It's in-group/out-group stuff. People demonize the people in other tribes even though they are trying to reach the same ends. Follow your interests. If you do a Bikram Yoga class just to meet women it's going to come across like that. But if you take an art workshop because you've always wanted to learn to draw it'll be easier to be authentic.. because well that's what you're doing.

I think I'm mainly staying with her out of fear You are. We've all done it. But what we fear doing is most often what we must do for personal growth. She probably is a solid GF and I wouldn't say to look at her faults. But look at what you wants and what you're willing to sacrifice. Do you sacrifice the relationship for your happiness or your happiness for the relationship? Which means more to you?
/r/askTRP10/09/15 02:03 PM

What are you goals with this relationship? Do you want a family with her? Because at this point, if you don't, you're wasting her time. But up to this point, your commitment has told her you do want to be the BB for her. that's why she's pressuring you to move in. And there's nothing inherently wrong with being the BB but really dude, shit or get off the pot.

all about me And that's I think where the experience gets confused with solipsism. I think when we have the boundary break down and we realize "I am all that exists", the next level is when you find that everything is I. There is nothing really outside of I. And I think that's what Jesus was talking about when he said "I and the Father are One" or "The kingdom of heaven is within you" Religion, for me, is fascinating in that people take it so very seriously when ya know.. you're still gonna die.

Take up a meditation practice. Then learn to transfer your mindfulness to every day situations. Like meditate when you're doing the dishes, as you walk to work/school, then try it as you have a conversation. You don't "come up" with responses. That puts you in your head and kills it. You stay in the moment and let it flow.

Get access to a heavy bag and beat that anger out. Take up meditation and find the "space" hiding in between your thoughts. You create this anger within your own echo chamber. It's not a concrete reality. And in the space there is no anger. There's no happiness either though. Read Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" or find the audiobook on youtube. Find a therapist who will take you through the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or the DBT workbook.
/r/seduction28/08/15 02:29 PM

Find a good therapist. One that will do Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Work through the DBT workbook. Take up daily Transcendental or Zen meditation. Try a 10 day vipassana retreat. Develop a posture routine to do every morning. Work out more consistently. Diet. Sleep. Write your negative thoughts down all day for 4 or 5 days and give them a score of intensity 1-5 (this will make it clear how ridiculous your thoughts really are)

Right. Not necessarily "get rid of them" since I never really "had" anything but I stop making an effort. 3 dates that last a few hours is more than enough time to decide if she wants to sleep with me. And back to the Brad Pitt rule, would she make her version of Brad Pitt wait longer than 3 dates?

"Alpha" is an amorphous term. Lifting is a great way to learn how to build a habit and get positive brain chemicals going. However, if you do some looking around there is research that indicates 10-12% bodyfat is more attractive to women than 7-9%. Additionally, I don't think anyone could argue that Bill Gates isn't "alpha" or that George Clooney could pull more ass if he was only 250 and 7% bodyfat. It's kinda shitty Mike showed a picture of Tucker's girl while she was competing and a picture of his own girl when she was all slutted up. I'm sure Tucker's girl looks great in a dress. Probably a tight ass to boot. But I had never heard of his podcast before, I'll check it out. And on the Roosh thing.. he's not a god. He's an insufferable douche in his writing so I had to stop reading it. And as we saw in his recent appearance on Dr Oz, dude is socially uncalibrated. At least Tucker can hold c…

I wouldn't give up on therapy. There's a good therapist out there for you but they probably will have different equipment between their legs. Women can't understand a men's issue. Find another one. TRP is fine for entertainment but digging in to your emotional issues takes a guide.

If a girl is going to make fun of how you can up to introduce yourself then it may reflect more on her than it does on you. Regardless, you're talking about things that have never happened to you. This is you brain's way of avoiding talking to girls. Quit being silly and just talk to these ladies.

You want to make out with a girl. The paradox is that by wanting to get something so bad you ruin your shot of ever having that because your need for it is unattractive. What if you're just a guy that has a good time and makes people laugh and feel comfortable? Wouldn't that be more attractive than someone constantly trying to "get" something? John Cooper has some good videos regarding this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyJ9BmaVqLY

Johnny Soporno, loosely associated with the PUA community, said something I found very insightful during a lecture video. He said what they're actually saying when this advice is given out is "Please, please, please.. don't try to be someone you're not" And to me that makes sense.

To schools of thought on this I think. For long term mating, it could hurt you with more uptight women. Especially if you give off the vibe that you're still a criminal or have that mindset. For short term mating I think it would only help to drop something in there about it.

Semen retention has been used by the East for a long time, especially in Taoism. I forgot where I read it but the Taoists recommended an ideal 2 week cycle for ejaculations. And I've read in studies on testosterone in the west, studies seem to agree with that and testosterone becomes harmful after that 2 week period. The reason guys on /r/nofap go into depression around day 20-30 when they're 'rebooting' is that their body needs the renewal of an ejaculation. Too much of a good thing can be a ba…

Had this with a girl on OKC that was messaging with me this last week. Said she was only there for friends though her profile included 'short term dating.' I took to mean she simply wasn't attracted and let her know it would be disingenuous of me to hang out with her under false pretenses. Sucked but at the end of the day, I'd rather have that than waste my time thinking I had a chance.

The biggest problem that the PUA community has, and OP didn't mention this, was that this guy was going out for the sole purpose of meeting girls. He wasn't just coming upon them in every day life, he was going out to find them. Screaming of neediness. Instead he should have been building an awesome life and giving positivity to everyone around him. He didn't. He also didn't work out or do anything to improve himself as a person. I really have no pity for this guy. Approaching helps but improvin…

If only one partner is allowed to search for partners.. it's not an open relationship, one partner is just asking permission to cheat. As soon as she got upset about his Tinder account he should have known something was up. There is an ethical and peaceful way to carry these things out, these two people just did it horribly.

It's easy to bash, berate and feel anger toward women - especially if you're new to TRP and are angry about the truth being different from the fairy tale we are told growing up (women love nice guys, ladies first!, happy wife = happy life! etc.) But let's think about some of the reasons why women are so different and why their points of reference give them a completely different perspective from men. This right here. I have a hard time with the lady-bashing that goes on here because prior to my …

Oh, absolutely. I was simply leaving that as explanation of why someone might think that's fucked. Sexual strategy is amoral, sure. But I'm sure if we swapped roles and we were talking about a woman who wanted her men to only sleep with her while she went about the town we would be labelling it as immoral behavior or expectation.

I don't agree with this post. Only because the presupposition is that men, on the whole, are 'stronger' than women. Physically, absolutely. However, I think that discounts all the weak-willed guys that are overweight, emotionally driven, and basically poor excuses for men. There are shitty women just like there are shitty men.

A little late to the party but I gotta say.. what kind of idiot doesn't use a safeword? Also, what kind of idiot messes around with a chick that tells him she's autistic (doesn't pick up on social mores and cues)? I think this guy deserves what he gets. Even the girls I don't do BDSM stuff I give a safeword because "no" can be ambiguous. My assumption is the 'dom' is young and ergo completely stupid.

I left it pretty open/grey area I have no idea what 'the protocol' is but I'm pretty sure this is what women refer to when they say they are "sick of games." Why not give her the brutal honesty? "I love fucking the shit out of you but a committed monogamous relationship is not where I'm at in my life. If that's something you want in life right now I suggest looking elsewhere." That easy. You said you were afraid of being 'nuclear' with her and that she'd lose it. Tact is obviously important but …

Are you being straight-forward and direct within moments of meeting them? Like, are you saying after 2 minutes "hey, the real reason I came over to talk to you was that I think you're sexy and want to grab coffee with you (or whatever works for you)"? Because it sounds to me like you're talking to them but not conveying your interest until much later into the interaction. Also, touching them without conveying interest makes it awkward because up to that point you probably haven't told them or sa…

You already got your answer but I'll put it another way: when you go to the gym and work out your bicep, it doesn't get looser does it? If a woman learns how to 'flex' her PC muscles after a bit of sexual experience it's the same thing. Some of the tighter pussies I've fucked are the sluttier ones. The loosest ones were always the girls with a partner count less than 5.

I've read through several of your posts on this thread and I think I have a handle on it. My first thought was just that you're not approaching. But I read in here that you are in fact approaching and feel like you're being shoved in the friend zone. Correct me if I'm wrong. My guess is that you're not being direct enough with women. You're trying to play it cool to guage interest but you're not polarizing enough early on. Girls are usually just as oblivious as we are to sexual advances so if I …

Yeah.. don't go crazy with NoFap. It's good to ejaculate. I've read that abstaining for more than 2 weeks is bad juju. Ideally, you'd be with a lady. But my opinion is that if you don't have a lady to help you out, MO is fine. P is really the problem anyway.

Firstly, I disagree with the whole "10 is a lot thing" going on around here. It only seems big to you because it's more than you've had. A number is pretty arbitrary and there's not really a set number that people should be with. Unless you're religious, and if you are.. stop that shit. But I do think you should break up with her, not because of her number though. You should break up with her because this has revealed an insecurity in yourself. A weakness. The reason why you have this insecurity…
