Physique is not as important as dominance. Decide what aesthetic you're going for or what athletic activities you're interested in pursuing and let you're body type be dictated by that. She's more concerned with what you're doing with the body than in how it looks.

I'd rather be bigger than smaller. Being bigger commands more presence.

But uh, if you're not obese then recomp would probably be best for leaning and bulking at the same time. A little slower. Depending on where you're at the Tyler Durden lean look you'll get to faster. Get there and then make your decision if you want to add a ton of weight.

It might take you inside of a year to get lean like Brad Pitt in fight club. He's not in phenomenal shape. He's just handsome. Probably more handsome than you.

To be 200-220 with a hint of abs you're looking at 5-10 years of hard training.

Some girls prefer one over the other. Some girls prefer "dadbod" because they dread handing over their only advantage: being the physically more attractive one.

Just go ahead and cut down. You will see results much faster and start getting laid sooner.
