edit: Comments and posts that have the name of a Canadian psychologist get removed immediately, I've discovered. Tl;dr: because of how much of what I and my friend have learned about in isolation has converged in it, and for how often people just don't get results from some content that others do, Mark Manson's book "Models" is a must-read for every reason. The book predicted a need for working on inner game that later was made conjunctural by a few very painful failed interactions. We both star…

we think there's a strict path to success I'm conflicted a bit on how to take this, you made me notice. I remember a Facebook group thread about what was the dumbest reason they got turned off by someone. Most of the comments were women on dumb stuff like guy's hand shapes, and ways they treated the woman's pets. In Manson's book, there are also examples of this. That no matter what you do, either your moves or something else about you is going to be perceived as creepy by some women. The lesson…

Well, I guess not everybody read the sub's wiki lol When a guy's "got game", game is that of a man that enables him to get women. Inner and outer games are abstract distinctions of two important aspects of such game. One is what he is as a person inside, and the second is what he does to convey it to the outside (to the world, or to women) and to obtain what he desires. This reminds me of my bald friend again, who says you can tell when a man has the habit of interacting with women because it sh…

The basic dynamic of men approaching women requires any guy to have some game because assertiveness (taking action) in all stages of courtship is expected and required. Being only a tall/handsome guy is a blueprint you can add a lot of negative characteristics to that can fuck you up sooner or later because women, at least healthy ones, do care about more than that. And are very sensitive to those flaws -"plug your holes instead of polishing your medals". I might have lacked so much game that su…

Agree, but that's to attract. He also has both the inner and outer game that allows him to follow through with such attraction and close like a mf.

edit: markdown Yeah, with him, theory and practice it just made sense how a lot of ugly mfs just get pussy. Talked about that and my change in demeanor on another comment that didn't receive much attention.

Just realized that at this point, with so much related conversation we've had, the advice has merged with what I have learned and know generally about game that is hard to find a source for. So most of the big teaching I remember come from equally significant learning I had on interactions I immediately shared with him. For instance, there was this blonde cousin of a friend that came to town and I had great chemistry with but chickened out for the kiss. We kept messaging and I even mentioned wan…

Yeah crying in the middle of a bar is fucking stupid, but if done on purpose. That's what was shocking to me. He was actually feeling like shit and capitalized on the opportunity later. Honesty is literally the main idea of Manson's book also. But it's all about how you handle the situation and being okay with putting yourself out there. I read that book before starting and now that I've put more practice into game it presents itself as a bible. Always somehow lands great advice on how to land a…

I used to be able to fit a coin flat between the spaces of my front teeth. I was a bit insecure about it because I'd notice people's stares go down my face when I laughed. And was also conflicted about if doing something about it or just accept the thing under some existentialist philosophical bullshit about identity I used to believe in. I was also not very interested in socializing or women ever, and my libido when a teenager I pacified with what ended up becoming a porn addiction. At some poi…

Scripted? I guess you are talking about his infields? I honestly dedicate much more time to his theories and explanations and put extra work into replicating and getting my own conclusions in the field. But I don't know, infields from him I haven't perceived as scripted either. And I've gotten a significant deal of results from what I've learned from him. Anyway, yeah, what works for some might not for others. Todd himself is very introverted and engineer thinking and so am I, maybe that's what …

Well, he is actually in line with all I read on the books most recommended here. Though you might be right I look too much at that, though it seems to be giving me results so idk.

He was a natural and, as mentioned in Strauss' book, had the combo of animal instinct, curiosity, accessibility to women, and looks from a young age that enabled him so. Girls on his block would play kiss games with him from a young age. They would touch him and explore his body, and as teenagers would use him as sexual experiments, letting him explore theirs. But at around 17-18 years of age, he started to go bald. He'd have spots where his hair would fall off and not grow back anymore, and spo…

haha lol I mean that's the kind of shit 90s PUAs would do. Cold reading I saw first mentioned in Neil Strauss' book and he used to do palm reading and close your eyes types of shit all the time. So was curious what you meant by cold reading. Tod v kind of does a similar thing and he calls it mini cold readings because they are clearly not as profound nor require that much effort.

Ayyee, sounds like you are the man. Congratulations on it. Was wondering what's an example of your cold reading style because I tend not to buy a lot into the chick-crack esoteric and Barnum effect-ridden bullshit that most girls love, and feel like a dishonest game-y asshole while I do it. I use more of a big five personality traits kind of thing for mini cold reading them on the spot based on their appearance and their reactions while I calibrate. Works like a charm but I've read accounts of t…

Dude, just read this thinking of the 33-year-old green-eyed blonde that ended up chasing after me last Saturday. Totally on point. And "I'll talk to you when you don't receive so much male attention" is a line I use for girls in their early twenties too anyway lol.

The pain you feel is from a part of the structure that doesn't work being destroyed. You'd grow better out of it. Been there done that, the important thing is to be back after that to correct, confront, and repeat.

Well it's just our of curiosity. And as I understand beauty is on the eye of the beholder I was interested ultimately in the sense that you yourself gather about it. Your post was so complete I only wanted, ror entertainment, to have a sense of hot many of these you were proud of landing in that superficial sense.

This was a crazy interesting read. Made me think I'm wasting a bit of time with the texts when I should kind of rush getting her in person. I was also wondering, what about women's looks? Did you collect any data?

Totally not. Have read both analytically and Manson's is way more focused on practicality. And still takes into account principles obtained from the times of Neil's book.

I find that working in one self is best to begin with. You do the best you can out of your looks and you'll star noticing looks from women that are responsive to you (that you might already be missing). So keep doing the gym thing. The responsive, neutral and unresponsive women categories is something I got from Mark Manson's models book that someone else already recommended. You should check it out. Act on responsive women first, lower your expectations and use them to at least develop game (th…

Even if she says yes to that, you are probably better off making sure where you both are in the interaction again. Calibrate to that because assuming much easily throws women off.

What can one connect about with anyone If one is a complete inadequate mess socially to begin with? I mean I've come to understand that, indiferent to the rest of a guys qualities, chemistry comes from his capacity to place the one on one context of interactions on a woman's mind. This can happen sometimes effortlessly and accidentally even, when people that just vibe the same way meet. But it also can happen kind of artificially, or at least guided by what this sub teaches and discusses. So I d…

haha fuck did I use a flair wrong? I was just discussing an idea I came up with around the abundance mindset I've seen others comment about. This is why I've mainly lurked for the last 5 years on reddit. Sorry!

Ah, women are at fault most definitively most of the time. The thing is that this is about seduction, and winning over the logical argument rarely means winning them over.

I think several guys here misinterpreted the degree of compromise in the 'dealing with' them part. I did some similar reasoning considering the cure for oneitis (the girl you think is so special) advised on Neil Strauss' book: "sleep with 20 other women and see if this flower is still so special". It made me think of the evolutionary part of rejection: For men, in older times, a rejection being known would ostracize their genes from the genetic pool of his small community. As there's a lot to lo…
