Reset with some small goals, something that's achievable relatively easy and you can give 40-50% effort and achieve. You'll still get that dopamine hit of accomplishing something without dedicating your life to it. Then just slowly build on that. Make the grind somewhat fun and challenging instead of the monumental task that there is no reward until years in the future.

I brought this up to my wife when Twitch killed himself. She couldn't believe it so I told her to Google anything that had to do with supporting mens mental health. She was blown away with the lack of content. It really opened her eyes to the situation.

Yeah man, for reference I'm 33, one sister is 40 and the other is 28. It's hard to just tell my wife, "no I'm not going to pay to help get your parents across". It's really put me in a fucked up situation.

Struggling a bit, kids have been sick for a month and my daughter got the flu (again) today. I work 12 hour shifts and I'm on day 3 with about 8 hours sleep total last 3 nights. Trying to suck it up but damn I'm worn out.

Man I would just start putting yourself out there. Learn to embrace doing hard shit. I've lived a pretty blue collar life and doing hard shit sucks. Working in the rain and cold sucks, doing house repairs and working even on your days off sucks, camping in the mountains suck, learning hard skills sucks, lifting weights after a hard day of work sucks. But I'm going to tell you, it's rewarding as fuck.

It's my Friday so I'm feeling pretty good, 7 days if 14 hour shifts starts to wear on you. Doesn't help that I'm not a morning person so the 4:30 AM alarm isn't my friend.
