Everything this man said is 100% true.

If you do get divorced, make sure you put a clause in there that states that if someone violates your judgment of divorce, and lawyer are getting involved, the person at fault is responsible for paying legal fees. This will keep the frivolous shit to a minimum.

Because her burden to take care of my children increases.

This is going to be hard to hear. You are not her first choice. She wanted it ton work out with this other man but it probably didn’t. She’s going back to you because you are the back up plan.

My parents are 73 and 71 I’ve never seen anything but them loving each other. But also very traditional gender roles. I don’t think the formula works anymore. I don’t.

I mean maybe if she hadn’t been cheating on me.

I asked her if I could keep it before the divorce and she agreed. She tried getting it back after but I wouldn’t give it to her. I told her it actually meant something to me.

When did she inherit the house? What is it worth? You haven’t been married long so alimony shouldn’t be a huge issue. It’s likely if you file and you act quick you could get 50/50 custody and come out pretty well off. Talk to an attorney asap.

Yes. Didn’t even read this.

Two things She wanted a divorce for a year? That should have been a warning sign… But I can empathize with you. Women are not good at communicating. They are good at talking. Women are loyal to their feelings. Not reality.

Affair partner my wife was with was cheated on by his ex wife. What a POS he is.
/r/Divorce_Men09/07/23 09:51 PM
5

Not always. Listen, women are not loyal to men. They are loyal to their feelings. And that’s it. They truly never will love you the way you love them. They love you for how they feel. But, feelings can change.

This is the way
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/23 02:30 AM
1

No this is not the way. Lawyer doesn’t write a letter to her telling her to stop. A Lawyer should file a motion. Also, you don’t need a lawyer to file a motion.
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/23 02:27 AM
1

You file a motion to “show cause” This is basically saying she needs to show cause as to why she should not be in contempt. This is serious because she is violating an order from a judge. Contempt of court can be time in jail. But…..Unlikely the judge will consider this but likely it will be changed to a motion to “enforce judgement”

If she won’t go to counseling, that means she doesn’t want to make it work. She’s already broken up with you in her mind.

/r/Divorce_Men29/05/23 03:59 PM

Your divorce likely will have a clause that states she can’t say or do anything that will cause your kids to hate you. If she violates this file a motion to show cause or a motion to enforce judgement and that will shut her up. Also, think if your kids. If you don’t show them that this behavior is wrong and divorce her, then you are modeling terrible behavior for them. Don’t tolerate an abusive relationship like this.

Women can move on because they don’t love you unconditionally. They love what you provide. Only women, children, and dogs experience unconditional love.

U/airsailer is right. Reality doesn’t After. It’s her feelings and her friend is making her feel a certain way. Women are not loyal to anything other than their feelings.

Claims I deprive her of nearly all the holiday parenting time. And “in fact” she had not exercised any parenting time on any major holiday for a period exceeding two years. We’ve been divorced for 13 months. Never separated. Sounds pretty easy to prove that.

I got divorced in October. My ex is kinda a fool and I got a pretty fair divorce. Pros: financially, I’m so much better off. My ex spent the majority of our income. My time with my kids is my own. Half my friends came back into my life. I kinda got a “do over.” You will have no shortage of women unless your a total loser. Cons: it’s hurt my kids a lot. I lost half my friends because people pick sides. I was close to her family….That’s no longer a part of my life. It sucks. I’m ok, but it’s still…

What county? Doesn’t really matter. Wayne is so backed up and Oakland is packed with the sketchiest of all attorneys….. I got divorced in Livingston and though divorce sucks, it was a great place to have it happen. Get a really good JOD and a very clear settlement t agreement that spell everything out as clear as possible. If she fucks up hit her with a motion to enforce judgement at minimum (motion to show cause is more effective). Message me if you need to talk, brother.

Where in Michigan are you? (Michigan myself)

There is absolutely zero incentive to get married as a man these days. Shit was different 50 years ago. The laws back then made sense. But it isn’t that way anymore. There is no reason to get married, so make her sign a prenuptial. In the event that you guys divorce you’re both protected.
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/22 11:42 PM

Fuck her.
/r/Divorce_Men25/06/22 04:50 PM

Stay in the home. Get her to leave. Cut her off. Force her to get a job. Get as much physical custody of your children as possible. She already made the decision to divorce you when it works out best for her. She doesn’t care about you. She has moved on. She just is trying to avoid conflict.

Dude I hate it. I’m going through it right now. It sucks.

I’m the one who filed. Tbh she didn’t fight me much. She was just too in love with rv her bf. I wish I never married her.

Can you elaborate on the situation? In my situation my ex left my children unattended to spend time with him.
/r/Divorce_Men08/06/22 08:51 PM
1

Oh no I agree. I figure if I called the school they wouldn’t let him pick the kids up. And yeah it probably would cause conflict.
/r/Divorce_Men08/06/22 09:50 AM

That’s probably true.

I mean with all due respect, I do think I know what’s best for my kids. Their mother had placed three in some dangerous situations because of this guy.

I mean they thought she was dirt but what difference does it make. Seriously asking the strategy here…

They all know. They are moving forward with the relationship and moving in so 🤷🏻‍♂️ Men are almost always blamed for the cheating.

She has. I dropped the kids off this morning and she claimed she was hiring the attorney to rework the divorce. I’m gathering she’s just being an idiot.

I think that often people who are victims of abuse are (maybe unknowingly) attractive to the familiarity.

I think this is a really good point and I think it’s true. I’ve seen a lot of comments on here though and I’m a bit confused. I think that women tend to go for the athletic type of men for casual sex versus “smart” men because they are often more physically attractive. That doesn’t mean that the only thing women find attractive in men are physical things, or that’s what they look for in a relationship is muscles or anything else. I’m just pointing out something obvious that I’m not sure everyone…
