As someone who works in STEM, unfortunately a lot of guys do have the mindset that female robots will take over real women in the future. However it is a quite pleasant way to weed out LVMs/NVMs with natural selection so I couldn't care less.

There was a phrase in the FDS handbook that stood out to me a lot. It determined whether a guy was interested, and answers so many questions like "why didn't he do this for me?" "If he wanted to, he would." Actions speak louder than words.
