Tell her that men are violently assaulted more often than women, but men aren't constantly afraid of it.

It means that people can be unhappy for being misunderstood. Under any circumstance.

Sometimes it's like that, but the idealist in me wants to think otherwise.

Actually this makes perfect sense. If they had to struggle to get in, why shouldn't others have to?

It really should be common sense to not release the accused's name, but I think part of it is also divisive identity/gender politics and the fact that news sites and the like know that it will get them lots of traffic.

Honestly, the most disrespectful thing we can do to women is treat them in exactly this patronizing, infantilizing manner.

It's easier for people to rationalize their own shortcomings if they can just blame someone else, like men, in this case.

Honestly I don't follow politics very much, but if Hillary is stooping lower than others, which I don't think she was stooping lower than Donald Trump's racist campaign rhetoric from what little I've seen, then she does deserve criticism for it. I guess my earlier statement about not being able to blame Hillary was a copout, fair enough. They are both tasteless soul suckers, and to me the entire job of being a politician is to say what people want to hear. It's the sensible, though certainly not…

She is certainly responsible for her actions, but is she not supposed to cater to her target audience?

Everyone should support their loved ones wtf is this idea that only women can do it? Thrid wave feminism pls :(

I can't blame Hillary for saying that if she's pandering to her desired audience because isn't that kind of what politicians do? Would need more context to make a judgement

What's this "emotional labor" buzzword I'm recently starting to see so much?

So? Doesn't mean I have to agree with it and it doesn't address the original issue of it not making sense

Wouldn't we all? The problem is these massive double standards so that even if a given person can take a joke society gets pissed at you on their behalf real quick
