I think traveling is mostly a 20 year old thing. In my 20s I backpacked a lot, I used to backpack 2-3 times a year. Now that I'm older I don't have the energy for that, and I hate hostels because it's always a party scene, whereas I enjoyed it when I was younger. These days I only travel once a year and much happier. Better to pay more and get a nice holiday then to backpack for long periods.
