Don't rely on your physical qualities. You are evidence for the whole looks don't matter thing, so that's why you shouldn't really rely on them. Just start out being a bit more disagreeable, rather than always saying "yeah". Then you can use this disagreeability in a flirty way, with a cheeky demeanour. This is basically what girls mean by chemistry. Someone they can talk to normally, but also spiced up by flirtation and unpredictability. If you're just having normal conversation, there's no excitement.

Yes, when I'm doing a parody of being overly cheesy/sexual; e.g. if I'm on a date and I drop a sexual line like "by the way nice arse" and then I'll smile and wink, then if I feel I've made it too uncomfortable I'll pull it back by saying "it's okay I'm being cheesy" then change topic.

Yes, the social proof will defy help, as long as you don't give off a cheesy agenda vibe (i.e. that you're just hosting with the sole intention of getting laid). Just say "hey I don't think we've met, I'm xyz, how are you enjoying the party?"
