Fetishes almost always stem from trauma though. Issue is much like a lot of controversial things, it's been normalized so no one questions it. My mums the same, instantly shut me down when I mentioned something about a women raping a man. She did the whole erection equals consent argument, which is terrifying to hear from you own mother, because now I fear she possibly took advantage of a guy... Definitely made me view her in a different light and messed me up. Most of my family reject mens rights issues which sucks because if I'm a girl and I'm a bit heartbroken by it, I can't imagine how a boy hearing those things would feel.

I don't think you should have made the statement you did without taking male victims into account. This is a mens rights page and I'd hope most people coming here would know sexual assault can happen to anyone, by anyone. In fact a lot of homophobia is stemmed from the fear some men have of other men making unwanted sexual advances on them.

There are for sure studies to show underage girls tend to be on the receiving end of more cat calling than when they are adults, but this guy seems to have just copy and pasted something from a feminist sub or something. Omg finally the UK is pulling through! My younger brother told me his school were teaching him about the inequality of women and the "wage gap" 😱 which was alarming to me because as we all know one of those is not a modern day issue. I'm pretty sure it was the camera man saying those things. I saw the boyfriend try and tell her to stop but he wasn't forceful about it because I think everyone was a bit scared of touching her. Also it was another women who handed her the drink, not sure why exactly she handed it to her but if she didn't hand her the drink it wouldn't have escalated.

Also that's poor boy! I can relate to his situation so much due to my mother being very antagonistic and starting fights with strangers. I wish the father stopped and prioritized his son for a moment, I understand the rage of having a drink thrown in your face but while your son is in a vulnerable position the last thing he what's are a bunch of strangers in his face.

I can think of a few reason why men tend to lean towards hostility towards gay men but it's not because because the like it. It's incredibly hard for men to speak out because they tend to get backlash. Feminists actually do cause issues and more stereotypes around what a victim looks and who they can be. There are way too many of these cases and it's really not a gender thing. It's easy for someone to look at these cases and twist them into something that fits the narrative they are trying to push. However the truth is there are too many instances of this and it's happening on both sides. There is research to show women do get lesser sentences in comparison to men but it doesn't change the fact that there are men being released and going on to commit more crimes due to too short of a sentence.
